They are not responsive on here. Don’t even bother
I recently had my wedding here and cannot say enough great things! The venue that we had previously booked had extensive water damage and had to cancel our wedding date. Andrea, the business and programming director, was a god send and came to the rescue. I contacted her with my frantic emails, and even though she was on medical leave she responded immediately and very throughly. She answered EVERY single question I had (and trust me, I had a lot), and helped with other aspects of my planning that I didn’t even think of.
The venue itself is beautiful, there are various options for inside/outside reception plans, and it comes fully furnished. The value of this place was amazing. Everywhere else I looked in the vicinity (central Austin) was at least double or triple the price. Plus they provided tables and chairs without a fee, and enough parking spaces for all our guests. We had about 50 people at our wedding and it was the perfect size.
We had our son's Rehearsal Dinner at the Neill-Cochran House, and I think it was the most wonderful night! Andrea, from N. Cochran was so organized, so accessible, and accommodating that it was a stress free evening for all. We rehearsed outside (huge yard & many different areas/approaches) and it was perfect. The wedding venue was 30 miles out of Austin, so we really appreciated the chance to rehearse close in. When the bartender had a snafu (he hadn't thought that possibly one of the guests might want....alcohol free SOMETHING) she saved us. Go here - it's affordable, a wonderful non-profit saving of an incredible historic building, and you will love it!
We had our wedding here in October and everything was absolutely perfect! After researching quite a bit I was thrilled to find such a beautiful venue within my budget, I also felt good that the money was going to go towards the museum and not some big wedding “business”. Andrea is the main contact and was a dream to work with and so quick to answer any of my emails! We ended up being able to use tables, chairs and linens they had which was a huge bonus! The venue is beautiful and hardly needed any additional decor which was great for our budget! We had access to a room I used as a bridal suite and a room for the groom and groomsmen. There is also a private parking lot which was great for guests and we were even allowed to leave cars overnite if anyone drank a little too much and needed an Uber.
My husband and I were married there, last weekend , on June 11, 2017. It was absolutely incredible,...Andrea the house manager was generous and ever so helpful, and graciously endured my months long barrage of questions and detail arrangements . The space is gorgeous , very user- friendly and any photographers dream!! If you're into old houses , antiques, or just want a bit of a vintage feel to your wedding this place is for you!
We got married at the Neill-Cochran House Museum earlier this fall and absolutely loved it. Andrea, the Manager at NCHM was an absolute pleasure to work with. We held both our ceremony and reception at the museum and I have to say, Andrea could not have been more accommodating. The museum has an absolutely gorgeous and sizable yard. We were able to hold the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing for 110+ people all in separate areas of the outdoor space without needing to flip any of the spaces. Additionally, guests were allowed to venture into the museum and we used the indoor space for our dessert table and coffee cart. While planning the wedding, I came by several times with our different vendors and each and every time, Andrea made it easy to plan and was flexible and accommodating to arrange the walk-throughs. We are so happy that we found this hidden gem and will be forever grateful for what an amazing evening we had here!
This place is amazing!!! It's so beautiful and it's staff is perfect and very accommodating. My wife and I were planning on having our ceremony and reception here for our family after having a quick marriage in August. I say "were" because due to some unplanned medical and new schooling expenses we had to cancel it. But when I let them know we had to cancel they just asked if there was anything they could do to help. Just amazing. If we ever get to put the ceremony on again we will definitely be coming back here.
Definitely an underused facility for weddings! Beautiful house with area outside for a tent! We had a beautiful wedding here and enjoyed the great value as everything was included - use of house, food and drinks! Would definitely recommend as a wedding reception venue.
