Nellie was our day of coordinator for our Wedding and she is absolutely FANTASTIC! Her knowledge and insight into all the tiny details was critical in helping us pull off our special day! She was perfect in communicating and helping us plan each step of the day. She handled all the day of organization, getting vendors set up, moving the wedding party to each spot, making sure everything was in order and handling any day of situations! What would Nellie do? Pretty much our household mantra for the past year until we were able to tie the knot with the wedding of our dream last week despite being amidst a pandemic. We could not have done this without Nellie. My husband and I are both physicians relocating to Kansas City where he grew up to start our practice. Nellie made our planning experience easy and fun. Despite the incredible stress of having our initial May 9th date rescheduled we were able to seamlessly move all of our vendors to our second date and pull off a fun and relaxing day where both of us could focus on our special day with family and friends. Nellie does not miss a single detail. She will be honest with you, gives the best recommendations, and is extremely easy to communicate with. Plus she is such a sweet amazing person and mother running her businesses seamlessly. Additionally, Nellie owns her own stationary company and we used her talents for all of our amazing paper products/stationary (save the dates, wedding invites, signage at the wedding ceremony and reception, programs, etc). I personally have been that girl that always dreamt of her wedding day since I was a little girl. I never knew exactly what that day would look like besides what you see in the movies - where everything is perfect and the couple is enjoying every little minute of the day, not a hair is out of place and the weather is perfect, not too hot or cold. I knew I wanted that for my wedding day! The so called “perfect day.” So, when it came time to start planning our wedding day, I knew I needed and wanted a wedding planner. I knew there would be a vast amount of details to handle, I just wanted to enjoy the day to its fullest. I pitched the idea of getting a wedding planner to my fiancé and being the business man he is, he immediately said, “How much will that cost us?” I said it’s not about how much it cost us, it’s about what they can provide and do for us to enjoy our day that we have waited 14 years for. He still wasn’t sold on the idea and thought we could do it on our own. I said, “Let me call my dream wedding planner and just get an idea of how much it would cost and what all that would include for us. So I did and I immediately knew after my first conversation..I HAD to have Nellie. What I myself didn’t know or realize was how much Nellie truly did and would do for us. She became more like a best friend and not someone that was working for us. I looked forward to every time I would see her and we could talk for hours about wedding stuff, life or our current Starbucks obsession. I can’t even put into words what it’s like to feel so nervous to meet someone and expect them to make all your dreams come true. Yet you don’t even know yourself what exactly your vision is besides clips from bridal magazines and Pinterest boards. But I did know for certain we picked the right person. Nellie was professional from the very first meeting and yet by our last, I was hugging her like a best friend or family. It’s almost 3 weeks post wedding and I’m having “Nellie” withdrawals. I wish I could get married every weekend because it truly was the best day of my life. I had never been more calm than I was on my wedding day. That’s all because of Nellie. I knew now matter what happened that day Nellie reminded me earlier in the week that I was marrying my best friend and that’s all I had to worry about. She had all the details in order and no matter what if something didn’t go perfectly has planned I would never know and to this day I’m 100% sure I’ve never lived and enjoyed a day more in my life. My goal was to be present on my wedding day and I know the only reason I could accomplish that and feel that way was because of Nellie. She took all of our ideas to heart, threw some of her own touches in (at our request) and did what she does best. She did an amazing job making our day unforgettable and left people texting and calling me still 3 weeks later asking about the details and who we used. I will be recommending her to any couple that truly wants to have the “best day” of their lives. Her industry knowledge, connections around Kansas City and her pure heart of wanting us/working her hardest to make sure we had everything we dreamed of and more...literally gave us the wedding of our dreams. Nellie is AMAZING!! I knew I wanted her to be my planner after being in a friend's wedding a few years ago because I was super impressed with her organization and how smoothly the day went. Without a doubt, she is the BEST. PLANNER. EVER. Nellie was so wonderful throughout the entire planning process and our families loved her. She eliminated all of my stress the month of the wedding which allowed me to be fully present with my husband on our wedding day. She's professional, down to earth, and gave me so much guidance, she referred great vendors, designed our invitations and day-of stationary (which were beautiful and high quality), not to mention, her organizational skills and attention to detail is exceptional. Our wedding wouldn't have been as beautiful as it was without her. Nellie is incredible in every way! Words do not describe how wonderful she is and how much she did for me and my family! Honestly, I can’t say enough great things about Nellie!! I used Nellie for both wedding planning and all our invites/stationary and she truly made all my wedding dreams come true!! She was the biggest lifesaver during the whole wedding planning process. She was able to make my wedding vision come to life and also was able to think of ideas I would of never thought of. Nellie was such a stress reliever and would always respond to all my emails so quickly and efficiently! She went above and beyond with every thing I needed help with/had questions or concerns about. And when the weather decided to torrentially rain on my wedding day, she was the one running out in the rain so my bridal party and I didn’t get wet... now that’s some pure dedication right there!! I used Nellie for full service planning/coordinating and I can’t say enough incredible things! Throughout the planning process she was so easy to communicate with, unlike lots of other wedding vendors. I wish I could give more than a 5 star rating - Nellie Sparkman is a dream come true!! From the moment we connected I knew that everything would be flawless. Nellie went above & beyond to make sure everything, big to small, was perfect. Her list of vendors, her knowledge, and her experience are unbelievable. She is so easy to talk to and to be around and it was almost like she knew what I was thinking before I even said it. She created the most stress-free day & wedding environment. Not only is Nellie amazing, but so is her team. They are a true reflection of her! I know without a doubt that our wedding day would not have been as perfect as it was without Nellie and her team by our side! If you look up superhero in the encyclopedia, there will be a picture of Nellie Sparkman making someone's wedding go perfectly. Between calming down nervous mothers and completely taking care of everything on our wedding day (and leading up to it), I am not sure how her or her team gets it all done. But it happens. Nellie was 8.5 months pregnant during our wedding and was still there, with her full team making sure our big day was perfect. You cannot ask for that level of commitment, but that is what you get when you ask Nellie to plan your wedding. From day one of our planning process, Nellie listed the To-Do's and outlined the whole process in a way that even I could understand how much work was needed to pull off a large wedding. However, once Nellie got to working, none of it seemed like work at all. She and her team are a national treasure and you would be making the best decision of the wedding planning process to hire her to help. I don't know how we would of done it without her. Truly a best in class wedding planner.

I wish there was a way to give Nellie 10 stars because that would be the only way to describe how far above and beyond she went for us throughout the entire wedding planning process. The second thing my mom said to me after I got engaged was "get a wedding planner", so that's what we did. It was the most pivotal and important decision we made. Nellie has relationships with vendors throughout the KC area and made it clear she was serving our best interest when she made recommendations. Her ability to convey our vision to our vendors was amazing. Ideas and requests that we couldn't even put into words were executed to perfection thanks to Nellie. The cadence of communication was great, her empathy for a stressed-out couple was so appreciated, and the level of how much she cared made it feel like she was actually a part of our family. At one of our meetings, she took extra time to run through decisions we'd already made with my mom just to settle her worry. If you want to feel like you're cared for, listened to, important, and taken seriously, you have to have Nellie. I think back to my day and wouldn't change hardly a thing because Nellie got it right the first time. One last thing, she coordinated our day - everything - while 9 months pregnant. If that's not an extraordinary amount of dedication, I don't know what is.

There are no words to describe this young lady and her staff. She takes the ball and runs with it. She is kind, and patient, and fun! She knows her stuff!!! Vendors, venue's, etiquette, etc. She is delightful to work with as well as her staff. She made it happen. So glad I stumbled upon her, bet decision I ever made!!!!

Nellie Sparkman is hands down the most amazing woman I have ever met. She is a mother of two, a loving wife, a loyal friend, and The Best Wedding Planner is Kansas City. Nellie helped me plan my wedding. She also helped with my invitations and day of prints and signage. If she hadn't, it would not have been such a success. I was blown away by her organization, her knowledge of the industry, her connections and her overall understanding of what it takes to pull off an amazing event with every detail in place. Every question I had, she had an answer for. Every suggestion I needed, she had someone in mind. Every worry I had she set at ease. When it came to the day of coordination, I could not believe how well everything was taken care of. She was taking care of things behind the scenes that you couldn't even imagine you would have to handle. Because of Nellie, I was able to relax on my wedding day and not have to work at all. I had complete confidence in her the entire time and she did not let me down. My husband is a harsh judge of work ethic and he was blown away by Nellie. The woman is impressive. The stress of a wedding can really get the best of a bride. Without Nellie, I don't think I could have made it through. She is such a kind person. I will be forever grateful for her and never forget what she did for me. When planning your budget, she is the BEST money you will spend. Trust me she worth 10 times more. Hiring Nellie is one of the best decisions I have ever made.

Now that my wedding day has come and gone, Nellie still feels like a friend. We planned our wedding in 9 months, and she was there from beginning to end. She helped make big ideas into practical, beautiful reality, and helped keep me organized throughout the process. I cannot say ENOUGH about the day of my wedding- everything ran smoothly and I was never stressed. A few things (apparently) went awry, but I never knew because Nellie and her team made sure everything was PERFECT. She kept me happy and calm...and even sewed a groomsman's pants who split before the ceremony! I mean, come on! Nellie teared up when I was walking down the aisle and I could truly see how much she loves her job and how much she cares about her brides and the whole process. It was truly the best day of our lives and we could not have been happier with Nellie- 10/10 would recommend.

Nellie was super professional to work with and kept us on the ball when we needed it. I had the "partial" wedding package and we definitely couldn't have pulled it off without her help! Throughout the planning process Nellie was organized, resourceful, and attentive. She is full of great ideas and has a myriad of vendor contacts around the city. Nellie created the invitations and day-of printed items for my daughters wedding (seating chart, napkins, programs, koozies, menu cards, welcome bag tags, table numbers, guest book & cards and gift signs). She was creative, quick to respond & a pleasure to work with! We were SO happy with all of our stationary!

I wasn’t sure if I was in the market for a wedding coordinator when I first started this process for two reasons 1) I wasn’t sure it was in the budget and 2) I consider myself an organized and on top of it gal that can handle making phone calls, arranging vendors etc. Turns out planning a wedding is A LOT of work ;) and a whole lot more than phonecalls and a really good checklist. Nellie was all of these things and then some. She went entirely above and beyond being just a coordinator. Nellie not only single handedly helped me in designing beautiful and simple stationary all facets of the wedding, but from day one became my right hand gal. When I didn’t know something (literally, so many things) she was right there promptly and willingly to reassure me or answer any and all questions I had. She prepared a timeline well in advance with me and shared with all vendors while continuing to keep it up to date as things changed (as they do!) From the countless chats over coffee, vision boards, a million questions and texts, back and forth emails and edits, Nellie made sure our day was as amazing and easy as we had hoped, and just how I had envisioned it in my head. Nellie was absolutely wonderful to work with. She was so prompt with getting back with us and to answer any concerns. We weren’t sure if we needed a wedding planner, but believe me, you do! Can’t imagine doing it without Nellie! We also used Nellie for all of Olivia’s Save the Dates, wedding invitations, programs and more. They all were beautiful!! If I could give Nellie more than 5 Stars I would. She was AMAZING!!! I had her for the month of as well as all our invitations/paper products. If you are questioning getting a planner, you should! And it should be Nellie! She went above and beyond to make sure the entire weekend went as seamless as possible and it did! There are so many little things that go on the day of your wedding that you don’t think about and good thing we had Nellie to not only make us aware of all those details but also execute them all perfectly while you’re getting ready for your big day! Nellie was so awesome and made our big day absolutely perfect!! The best part about hiring her was having everything completed over a month early and making the final days stress free. She took everything (chargers, signs, table numbers, etc) to the venue for us the week of and we did not have to worry about anything. She communicated with all the vendors and made sure everyone knew when to be where. My sister got married 9 months earlier and my mom was running around doing little things the entire wedding day and I did not want my mom to have to do that at my wedding. A coordinator may seem like an easy thing to cut when budgeting for a wedding but you will 100% regret not having her on your special day! I can't say enough great things about Nellie and her team! Hiring Nellie was the best decision my mom and I made throughout the entire wedding process. I am originally from Overland Park, KS but moved to Omaha (which is where I got married) and Nellie was more than accommodating to make sure our day went off without a hitch. I don’t even know how to put into words how much Nellie’s planning and support means to me, my new husband, and my family! Nellie was everything I needed and so much more! Trust me, you need Nellie on your wedding day! She made sure everything was taken care of and kept me completely calm while doing so. Nellie was with us for 30 days prior to the wedding and the day of. Best decision we ever made. She responds in a timely manner and helped us stay organized and calm throughout the whole process. There aren't enough words to express my gratitude toward Nellie. Not only is she very professional but she really cares for her clients. On many occasions, Nellie has been a friend to us, giving us emotional support and advice when needed. During my engagement season I was online looking for a wedding planner and came across Nellie's work. I really liked her style so I gave her a call and set up a meeting. My fiancé and I were SO impressed right away. Within ten minutes of leaving the meeting, Nellie had already contacted the wedding venue we loved and had set up an appointment with them. We knew she was the one we were going to be working with for the biggest day of our lives. We trusted her. My husband and I knew planning a wedding would be a lot of work but we didn't realize the magnitude of it until we started looking into all the details. Fortunately, we had Nellie by our side every step to help us with finding the perfect venue, decor, cake, entertainment and so much more! We had the BEST team working for us and so many of our guests complimented us saying it was the best wedding they've been to and I couldn't agree more! The day of the wedding was just flawless and Nellie made sure everything was perfect. She was always very prompt with emails/texts and if there were things we forgot about, she was always 10 steps ahead of us. She's very detail oriented and will go out of her way to make your vision come to life. I honestly don't know what we would've done without Nellie. She is an absolute gem! We highly highly recommend her!

Working with Events by Nellie was truly one of the best decisions I made when it came to wedding planning. I knew I didn't need the full coordination package, but I did want someone to be there the day of our wedding to help make the day run smooth and seamless...Events By Nellie made that happen! Nellie and one of her lead coordinators, Becky, did a great job of contacting me a month before the wedding to organize and coordinate every last detail! The day was absolutely perfect and I attribute a lot of that to Nellie and her team. Nellie was absolutely AMAZING to work with! We worked with Nellie for month-of coordination services. She was great throughout the whole process. While I handled much of the planning process with my mom and fiance, she was always responsive and happy to recommend vendors or help us navigate wedding etiquette or make suggestions as we went along. When we got down to the month of, Nellie took over and coordinated seamlessly between the vendors! She is also a graphic designer, and had lots of great suggestions for paper products to incorporate on our wedding day. She designed beautiful programs, escort cards, a seating chart, and lots of other little pieces that coordinated perfectly with our invitation suite. I wish I had had her do our invitations from the beginning! We were referred to Nellie by another couple, and couldn't be happier with their recommendation. Nellie was professional every step of the way, and such a wonderful, warm person too :) I knew I could turn to her for help with anything we needed the week of our wedding, and most important to me, she helped keep my mom calm on what was a very overwhelming weekend.

Events By Nellie was hands down one of the best investments we made for our wedding! Nellie made sure everything went smoothly on the day of our wedding. Not once was I worried about what was going on behind the scenes. I got to enjoy every moment of our wedding day stress free. During the planning period, there were times when I wasn't sure what I wanted and was feeling overwhelmed with decisions. When I would speak to Nellie, it was like she knew exactly what I wanted when I was struggling to put it into words. Not only did Nellie help plan our wedding she did all our stationary (save the dates, invitations, programs, envelopes, place cards, menus, etc.). They turned out amazing! For anyone doubting whether they need a wedding planner, go for it! We used Nellie for wedding planning and our print items - save the dates, invites, menus, etc. I could not have imagined having anyone else by my side through the planning process and on the big day. Nellie was full of suggestions from wedding vendors to design ideas. The weeks approaching the wedding she kept my stress at a minimum with her help interfacing with vendors. She is detail oriented and her style was on point! You can tell she truly has a passion for what she is doing. She made our wedding the best day ever!

Nellie is EVERYTHING you want in a wedding planner/coordinator and MORE! She is professional, organized, poised, calm, innovative, creative and in charge without being overbearing! And bonus, she does this all with amazing heart!!!!! Nellie really, really enjoys her profession and it shows. Her attention to detail and good communication is key to a successful wedding. I felt so relaxed knowing Nellie was "on the job"! On the day of the wedding she tirelessly coordinated a large wedding party to walk down the isle on time and continued on to the reception taking care of business until the final guests left the venue and the last crumb of cake was cleaned up...even returning the rentals to the florists and cake vendor early the next day! Don't put this decision off to hire this wonderful lady because she will make your wedding the day you have hoped and dreamed about since you were a little girl! Thank you Nellie, you were amazing!

To put into words how much I enjoyed working with Nellie leading up to our wedding day would be impossible. Nellie was without a doubt a key to what made my husband and I's wedding day a true success. Not only was I able to relax completely in the final week leading up to our wedding, but I was truly able to be in each moment on our wedding day knowing we were in good hands. Everything went off without a hitch... and if it didn't, we never heard about it which was exactly what I wanted. Nellie also offers design services which are perfect for invitations and all signage for the ceremony and reception. Everything she designed was beautiful and captured the feel of our day. I am so, so happy that we hired Events By Nellie. Her organization helped us keep track of everything that we needed to do for the entire year of wedding planning, and she helped make our wedding day perfect and unforgettable. She personally helped us with so many tasks! She edited the text for our many invitations and programs, shared her experience with the vendors we were considering (which we LOVED). I was interested in a month of coordination package, and began meeting with various wedding coordinators a year prior to our wedding date. I met with Nellie, and she literally blew me away with her kindness. Her passion for weddings was evident in this first meeting, and it was clear that she was willing to go above and beyond to make my vision a reality. Nellie kept me on track, and maintained communication throughout. She answered all of my questions, and provided me with sound, expertise advice. She offered her hand in every decision. She is personable, friendly, caring, and thoughtful. These characteristics are so important in coordinating vendors, and in communicating with guests, and those in the wedding party. Our wedding day was flawless. I overlooked several details. Fortunately, Nellie addressed all of these details, and she did so prior to the wedding! She is detail-oriented, organized, hard-working, and incredibly knowledgeable. The rental company made a few errors on the day of, but Nellie quickly addressed these, and without me ever knowing. We were able to enjoy our day, and truly experience all the emotions that came with it. Zero stress. Nellie is invaluable, and highly recommended. We will be forever grateful for this sweet gal.

Nellie was such a great help in making our wedding day even more special than we could have ever imagined. Since I reached out to her after we had already done a lot of planning, she prepared a special package for us which we greatly appreciated. She was the one planner we met with that acknowledged all of the hard work we had already done and that's when we knew Nellie was the one! We had a few hiccups - we had to fire a caterer and find a replacement and a couple of our vendors disagreed on some things causing a bit of stress for me! The day of, Nellie and her 2 amazing assistants could not have been more helpful. We feel so lucky to have been able to work with Events By Nellie and I highly recommend her services. I was planning a Kansas wedding from Chicago and I could not have done it without the help of Nellie and her staff. I booked her month of coordination package and also used her awesome design skills for our wedding invites. Nellie and I were in contact all the time leading up to the wedding. She flawlessly executed my vision for our invitations, allowed rounds for edits and handled the addressing and mailing. It took so much stress off our plate. Not to mention, we budgeted a pretty specific number for invites and Nellie was able to keep it within budget while still keeping the invites very classy and elegant. Nellie and I kept in touch a lot the month of leading up to the wedding and by the time we first met in person (we had done FaceTime sessions over the months), it felt like I was hiring a friend to help with our wedding. She helped the week of the wedding by picking up a few things from our vendors and meeting me to gather the decor. I had a very specific view in mind for every detail of our wedding and Nellie made my visions come to life. I mean it when I say I couldn't have had the wedding without her and her staff. They kept the day moving seamlessly. When the reception starts, you sort of forget your timeline, but Nellie kept this going and we were able to get through everything planned. I can honestly say she did everything to perfection and I would recommend her to anyone looking to hire a planner.

I can't tell you how many times I was asked "are you starting to get stressed out?" in the weeks leading up to the wedding. I was always baffled by that because while I did feel a lot of emotion during that week, stress was never one of them. I felt joy, excitement, happiness....and I give all the credit for that to Nellie! She went above and beyond in the work she did for me. I have never had a vision for what my wedding would look like and didn't know where to start. I wasn't interested in the little details and just didn't know what to focus on. Nellie came in and changed all of that! She gave me guidance that really led me through the process and in the end gave me the most beautiful wedding I could have ever asked for. We had a very limited budget and she came up with innovative ways to not let that affect the over all look and feel of the event. She thought of things that I never would have that just make the wedding and reception perfect. She managed to take a church basement and turn it into a BEAUTIFUL reception venue and always made me feel confident that it would be a wonderful party. I have already recommended Nellie to a couple of my friends who are getting married and will continue to do so! I literally could not have done this without her, nor would I want to! I just adore her and can't say enough about her. She allowed us to be the guests of honor at our wedding and not be the ones running around taking care of the details. After meeting with her once my now husband looked at me and said "wow, she is worth every penny!" I couldn't say it better myself!
