We could not have done this without Nellie. My husband and I are both physicians relocating to Kansas City where he grew up to start our practice. Nellie made our planning experience easy and fun. Despite the incredible stress of having our initial May 9th date rescheduled we were able to seamlessly move all of our vendors to our second date and pull off a fun and relaxing day where both of us could focus on our special day with family and friends. I knew I wanted that for my wedding day! The so called “perfect day.” So, when it came time to start planning our wedding day, I knew I needed and wanted a wedding planner. I knew there would be a vast amount of details to handle, I just wanted to enjoy the day to its fullest. I pitched the idea of getting a wedding planner to my fiancé and being the business man he is, he immediately said, “How much will that cost us?” I said it’s not about how much it cost us, it’s about what they can provide and do for us to enjoy our day that we have waited 14 years for. He still wasn’t sold on the idea and thought we could do it on our own. I said, “Let me call my dream wedding planner and just get an idea of how much it would cost and what all that would include for us. So I did and I immediately knew after my first conversation..I HAD to have Nellie. What I myself didn’t know or realize was how much Nellie truly did and would do for us. She became more like a best friend and not someone that was working for us. I looked forward to every time I would see her and we could talk for hours about wedding stuff, life or our current Starbucks obsession. I can’t even put into words what it’s like to feel so nervous to meet someone and expect them to make all your dreams come true. Yet you don’t even know yourself what exactly your vision is besides clips from bridal magazines and Pinterest boards. But I did know for certain we picked the right person. Nellie was professional from the very first meeting and yet by our last, I was hugging her like a best friend or family. It’s almost 3 weeks post wedding and I’m having “Nellie” withdrawals. I wish I could get married every weekend because it truly was the best day of my life. I had never been more calm than I was on my wedding day. That’s all because of Nellie. I knew now matter what happened that day Nellie reminded me earlier in the week that I was marrying my best friend and that’s all I had to worry about. She had all the details in order and no matter what if something didn’t go perfectly has planned I would never know and to this day I’m 100% sure I’ve never lived and enjoyed a day more in my life. My goal was to be present on my wedding day and I know the only reason I could accomplish that and feel that way was because of Nellie. She took all of our ideas to heart, threw some of her own touches in (at our request) and did what she does best. She did an amazing job making our day unforgettable and left people texting and calling me still 3 weeks later asking about the details and who we used. She was the biggest lifesaver during the whole wedding planning process. She was able to make my wedding vision come to life and also was able to think of ideas I would of never thought of. Nellie was 8.5 months pregnant during our wedding and was still there, with her full team making sure our big day was perfect. You cannot ask for that level of commitment, but that is what you get when you ask Nellie to plan your wedding. From day one of our planning process, Nellie listed the To-Do's and outlined the whole process in a way that even I could understand how much work was needed to pull off a large wedding. However, once Nellie got to working, none of it seemed like work at all. She and her team are a national treasure and you would be making the best decision of the wedding planning process to hire her to help. I don't know how we would of done it without her. Truly a best in class wedding planner.

s. The second thing my mom said to me after I got engaged was "get a wedding planner", so that's what we did. It was the most pivotal and important decision we made. Nellie has relationships with vendors throughout the KC area and made it clear she was serving our best interest when she made recommendations. Her ability to convey our vision to our vendors was amazing. Ideas and requests that we couldn't even put into words were executed to perfection thanks to Nellie. The cadence of communication was great, her empathy for a stressed-out couple was so appreciated, and the level of how much she cared made it feel like she was actually a part of our family. At one of our meetings, she took extra time to run through decisions we'd already made with my mom just to settle her worry. If you want to feel like you're cared for, listened to, important, and taken seriously, you have to have Nellie. I think back to my day and wouldn't change hardly a thing because Nellie got it right the first time. One last thing, she coordinated our day - everything - while 9 months pregnant. If that's not an extraordinary amount of dedication, I don't know what is.
