Neva helped capture both our engagement photos and wedding photos, and we couldn't be happier with the result! Starting with the engagement shoot, Neva was very easy to communicate...
with, and the day of she had tons of ideas of where best to shoot, while still listening to our preferences. She went above and beyond, spending longer than we initially had planned on the shoot, and sending us preview photos with a really short turnaround. She was very quick and responsive via email with answers to any questions and she gave us detailed, helpful responses. For the wedding itself, Neva was very involved in giving suggestions as to the day of timeline, providing detailed estimates of how long each type of shoot we were looking for would take, and working closely with us to make sure we could capture all of the moments we had hoped for. On the actual wedding day, Neva was phenomenal, helping guide us around to the different areas for our photos, and herding the large groups of family and friend around for their respective shoots. With expert advice on when to take each type of photo, we were able to capture the moments we wanted while still being present and enjoying the wedding itself. Again, Neva went above and beyond and stayed longer than she was supposed to, and getting us the sneak peaks within a few days so we could enjoy her amazing work. We couldn't be any more satisfied with Neva's work throughout the entire wedding process! A huge plus is that she's also such a friendly, caring person to be around who makes you feel comfortable. Thank you for everything, Neva!
Wedding photos were one of my biggest priorities when getting married, and we absolutely made the best choice when hiring Neva to be our wedding photographer. She is the ultimate h...
ype woman who also makes sure you are calm and on time.
Her previous experience with event planning means she brings a bit of wedding planning to her photography services. She was able to help us plan out our wedding timeline, which was such a huge help. Plus she kept calm in the weeks ahead, which any bride will tell you are some of the most stressful.
And now to the photography. Neva's photos speak for themselves. Everyone will have a slightly different look that they are going for with their wedding, but Neva's style is exactly what I wanted from the photos. My only very minor (completely joking) complaint is that she shoots Cannon, and I am a Nikon fan. Neva is willing to do whatever she can to make your photos amazing. She makes you relax. She gives great tips about how to look better, and she directs her photos so that you look even better than you could imagine. She is hands down the photographer you need on your wedding day.
Neva is also one of the fastest photographers I have ever worked with. She always delivered her photos way ahead of schedule, and she even gave us a photo on our wedding day, which was quickly shared among all the guests.
If you're looking for a wedding photographer, you want to book Neva. I'd get married again just so I could have her photograph my wedding twice.
One of the best decisions that we made for our wedding was choosing Neva as our photographer! Immediately after our initial zoom meeting with Neva, we knew that we wanted her to ca...
pture our special day because of her warm and bubbly personality. Throughout the whole wedding planning process, Neva was extremely responsive and helpful. On the wedding day, Neva was truly our hype-woman and made us feel SO comfortable in front of the camera. My husband and I are never great at taking pictures and she made us actually enjoy being in front of the camera! Neva was extremely organized and was able to get amazing pictures in a timely manner so that we were able to spend more time with our family and friends. I am still shocked with how quick Neva's turnaround was. She sent us a few pictures during the reception and several sneak peaks the following day. Within two weeks we had our full gallery!! We could not be happier with how the pictures turned out and we will forever recommend Neva!
Neva was absolutely everything we wanted and more! With COVID, schedule changes, etc, she was incredibly flexible, easy to work with, and honest about aligning her services with ou...
r needs. She was able to capture all the right moments of our special day and made sure that we have lasting memories. Neva captured great intimate moments, awesome party filled moments, and all the other little details that we weren’t able to see for ourselves. Her turnaround was amazingly quick too! We would absolutely recommend her, and hope to be able to have the opportunity to use her for future celebrations!
I told Neva during our wedding that I wished that it was possible to clone her so that she could be our photographer, videographer, and wedding coordinator (even though she doesn’t...
do that, she was definitely more qualified than our own coordinator), because that’s how amazing and awesome Neva is!
Neva is the type of photographer that you can really tell that she loves what she does. It comes out in the photos and it’s also noticeably obvious during her shoots as well, because she radiates excitement and energy. If you’re the type of couple that wants to enjoy the wedding experience, then Neva is your photographer! She makes you feel like a star during your Engagement shoot and Wedding Day, and not only does this help you enjoy yourselves, but it also comes out in the photos because you’re ACTUALLY having a good time instead of just acting like it. That difference really comes through in the end result.
Neva’s second shooter was also great and had the same amazing vibe as Neva, in addition to being an awesome photographer in her own right as well! The second shooter is an incredible benefit to have to get pictures of the Groom getting ready with his party, in addition to being able to get multiple angles of your beautiful pictures.
Neva is also great after the wedding day itself. We were promised the full photo gallery no longer than 6 weeks after, but we received all of our photos only 2.5 weeks later. Neva also sent us some “Sneak Peaks” DURING the wedding. She went out of her way to edit some of her favorite photos of the First Look, Ceremony, etc while she was having dinner so that we could see them ASAP, which is frankly incredible and unbelievable that she would do something like that for us.
In summary, Neva is an incredible photographer who is efficient with her time, delivers an amazing product, is one of the nicest people I’ve ever met, and will be your biggest Hype Woman during your wedding. A++, 10/10, 5 Stars.

ures but Neva made it so much fun. It really felt like we were on a date with a friend that just really liked watching us kiss. Neva was so responsive and organized I always felt like we were in great hands and everything ran so smoothly the day of the wedding. Our pictures are so beautiful and I am so grateful we had Neva to capture our day!
Neva is INCREDIBLE!!! She has the most positive personality throughout the whole day. It was so easy to feel natural and beautiful in every picture she took. All of my bridesmaids ...

portive, helpful, and kind! She truly will be your cheerleader behind the camera making you feel beautiful, comfortable, and natural. We cannot stop gawking at our final products from ALL of the galleries. Our favorite photos were the ones Neva was able to capture of our truly special and small moments!

hoots. Neva made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera and kept us laughing the whole way! She puts so much thought in capturing all the special moments and details and the photos themselves are absolutely stunning. As a bonus she is very timely. For both shoots, we received sneak peaks the day after and the full gallery around 2 weeks later. I highly recommend her for anyone looking for a wedding photographer.
We were extremely lucky to have Neva during our pre-wedding photo shoot as well as our wedding weekend. She was friendly and very pleasant to work with during our photo shoots! She...
knew how to keep the mood light and kept us laughing the whole time. We had loads of fun strolling through Old Town Alexandria and she knew exactly where to go and the results were stunning. She has a gift of making couples feel comfortable in front of the camera which I greatly admire about her. She absolutely loves being around people and is extremely passionate about what she does. She worked through the heat with a smile during our wedding day and we absolutely loved our photos. She was very professional and organised and her communication was amazing throughout the whole planning process. Word to the wise: She is very punctual! You need her at 7 am and she was there at 6:55 am ready to conquer the day!
Overall, we 100% enjoyed working with her as did our guests. Thank you Neva for capturing this beautiful memory of ours forever and wish you lots of love and good wishes always!

sional, charismatic, creative, stylish, and we could not have asked for a better photographer! She has such a warm personality, a great vision for photographs, and made our wedding that much more special! We cannot wait to refer her to our friends whenever we get the chance. Hire Neva, she's the best!!!!
We LOVED working with Neva! From start to finish Neva has been such an incredible photographer (and also now friend). Not only are her photos and editing stunning - but she made m...
e feel comfortable being the center of attention. Her communication and direction during the wedding helped us use our time effectively, and also prioritize photos that we wanted to take with our family and friends. With her direction we were able to capture photos and then actually *enjoy* time during our wedding and cocktail hour with family and friends.
Outside of the photos itself - the other thing we adored about Neva is her accessibility and communication with us throughout this process. She was super responsive, clear, warm and helpful. As an admittedly type A person, it was amazing to have a photographer who values good communication and made us feel so special. WIthin HOURS of our wedding she had a sneak preview in our inboxes - which was also so great to have prior to the full gallery. And we were wow'ed by the preview - we cannot wait to see them all!
Neva's art speaks for itself - but her business savvy, warmth, and joy are what made this experience so dearly special. Can't wait to find more excuses for her to photograph us!
We are so beyond thankful to have worked with Neva for our elopement photography! Best vendor we worked with by far!! From start to finish, she was thoughtful, easy to work with, a...
nd invested in our experience. When the morning of our elopement came, Neva made the entire process an absolute joy. Both Will and I are fairly introverted, but Neva brought out the best in both of us and made us feel completely at ease in front of the camera. We were blown away!
Though we didn’t have any family with us for the wedding, Neva gave us the gift of being able to share our day with loved ones – through sharing her talent. She is an incredible photographer (both film and digital!!), a beautiful soul, and an absolute pro. The photos she captured the morning of our elopement are GORGEOUS.
We’d work with Neva again in a heartbeat – truly can’t recommend her enough.
Neva took our engagement photos in Old Town Alexandria on a rainy Sunday morning and was a true professional! Her energy is infectious, she makes you feel comfortable in front of t...
he camera, she turns around sneak peaks in record time, and she's incredibly responsive to any question or concern you may have from the time you first contact her to the day you get your photos back. She was super flexible when we had to change our plans last minute due to weather, took it in stride when our dog didn't behave during the shoot, and was very prepared to help us look our best in the pouring rain (not an easy task at all).
I would recommend Neva to any couple in the DC area who is looking to have a photographer take beautiful photos while helping you feel your best.
Honestly, I don’t even know where to start. COVID-19 times threw us for an extreme loop, and I am so thankful that I had Neva during this time. She did it in all her might to be ab...
le to continue shooting for my wedding and can I just say the pictures make me SPEECHLESS. She’s also your forever and best hype woman. You wanna feel beautiful? Let Neva photograph you. I can’t say enough of how great her photos turn out and how her personality just makes the session that much better. I would love to have her around forever to photograph everything but I’ll settle for the most special day to date :)
Working with Neva was great! She is a true professional. Her response time to emails was quite impressive. We were a COVID couple, so we had to change the date of our wedding sever...
al times. Neva was by far the most accommodating of our vendors. She was communicative and granted us such grace as we transitioned our large wedding to a more intimate "micro" affair (which often required switching dates, locations, and details on a dime). She made it very clear she would do anything in her power to make the scenario less stressful for us, and we really felt taken care of throughout the process. My only regret is not booking her for longer on my wedding day! She will work hard for you and isn't afraid to wrangle family to get those oh-so-important group shots. Thanks Neva!
11/10 stars! Over the last year, Neva has been so amazing from our engagement photos through our wedding day. My husband does not like having pictures taken, but Neva made us both...
so comfortable and he even laughed during all of the photos! She will be your #1 hype-woman throughout your day and make you feel so special! In the words of my now husband “We literally couldn’t have had a better photographer, her attitude makes her the best!” She is so enthusiastic and will help you to create stunning images without feeling over-posed. She also feels like a friend from the beginning. We will be using her to capture all of our special moments forever!! 10/10 recommend Neva!
I have worked with Neva twice now and she never disappoints! She is so passionate about what she does and brings the energy to each and every shoot. I am amazed how well the photos...
turn out especially with her quick turnaround time. I would highly recommend her for weddings, lifestyle shoots, and everything in between!
We can’t say enough wonderful things about Neva! From our first conversation, we knew we were in great hands. Neva’s fun energy is contagious. We didn’t meet Neva in person until t...
he wedding itself, but from the conversations we had prior to the day-of, we had no worries at all.
The emotions Neva captured were so honest – nothing was staged or posed. Neva brought such positive vibes, made us feel super comfortable throughout the afternoon. Even though COVID kept us from celebrating the special day with our family and friends, we are excited to share the memories Neva captured in the future.
We are thrilled with the results, but the experience itself was an 11/10. We highly recommend Neva, and would give her more stars if we could!
- Ashley & Liam
Neva is an incredibly talented photographer! For our private elopement ceremony, Neva listened to exactly what we wanted and executed beyond our expectations. She took every detail...
into consideration, and made us feel special. You will not regret booking Neva Sullivan Photography!
We cannot say enough good things about our engagement and wedding photography experiences with Neva Sullivan.
We got engaged in October 2019 and set a wedding date for June 2020....
Neva had photographed a previous wedding at the venue we decided on, and loved seeing the venue and the couple through her lens. We knew we wanted her to capture our special day as well.
From the very beginning of the process, Neva was easy to work with and made us feel at ease. When Covid-19 abruptly changed our plans, Neva was there to guide us through all of our options. We had to change dates, engagement shoot locations, and ultimately, how we envisioned our wedding. Every time we learned about a new Covid restriction or barrier, Neva not only communicated with us swiftly and offered recommendations or suggestions, but she did it in a friendly, supportive way that truly was above and beyond the typical vendor experience.
Despite the fact that we had to cancel our wedding, we still wanted to have wedding portraits done, and Neva was accommodating and on board with our decision. On the day our wedding photos rolled around, Neva was so much fun to spend the morning with. Having your wedding with no family or friends around to celebrate isn't easy - but Neva truly brought a great energy to our day and made us feel special throughout.
Both our engagement and wedding photos are gorgeous keepsakes that capture what fun, happy experiences they were. Neva turned around our photo albums promptly and kept us updated throughout her editing process - including a few sneak peek images.
Overall - Neva was a shining star in an otherwise stressful wedding planning season due to Covid-19. We cannot recommend her enough!

If I could give Neva all the stars, I would. She truly is a professional, talented, and positive photographer. After initially reaching out, I was immediately responded to with a m...
eeting maker and we scheduled a phone consultation. She really puts in the effort to get to know her clients and takes all the worry off of you on your wedding day. My husband and I had a micro-wedding at the DC War Memorial on the National Mall, and she offered a COVID special as we only needed a few hours of photographs. On the wedding day, we had so much fun! Neva liked to call herself a stand up comedian with a camera, and she was right! We showed up on our wedding day knowing we were in good hands. We laughed so much and she was able to capture beautiful and fun candid photographs. Nothing was awkward and posed. I cannot recommend this photographer enough. She is professional, personable, insanely talented, reasonably priced, and honest. She made a photo portal for us where we were able to see all the beautiful photos she captured both digitally and with film, plus no silly watermark! I am grateful that I have gained not only a gifted photographer on speed dial, but also a great friend.
I honestly had THE WORST WEDDING possible. I had so many last minute emergencies happen that i didn’t even know if i was getting married until 4pm the day before. Neva was a GOD SE...
ND. I called her on a Tuesday to let her know what was going on and that i didn’t know what time i would be getting married or if at all. Neva was so supportive and flexible. She was by far the best part of our day! Our photos are AMAZING! She is worth every penny!

than I could have hoped. She was easy to work with and excellent about asking me what my vision was. She was thorough and I couldn't have imagined our pictures coming out any better! 13/10, will never stop recommending!

Neva was by far and away one of the best parts of our wedding day. Her talent is undeniable - and her cheerful personality meant that my husband and I never felt awkward while gett...
ing our shots taken! She is able to instantly connect with anyone, and our family and friends are so impressed with the quality of her work (we are too, but we knew how great she was prior to the wedding). Neva was able to turn around a sneak peek in about one business day - perfect to show our guests who weren't able to attend the family-only ceremony of our wedding!
I cannot recommend Neva highly enough - she not only will make you feel special on your wedding day, she will also produce a top-quality product that you can treasure forever. She is truly the best investment one could make on your wedding day.
Neva photographed our recent wedding and she was absolutely wonderful. Neva made us feel comfortable as soon as she arrived, and she fit in with everyone and everything – from bein...
g dragged around D.C. to get photographs at three different locations, to staying late and capturing wonderful candid shots of our guest during the reception.
Neva also must have worked really hard after the wedding, because she got our wedding photographs to us extremely quickly.
Every time we look at the photos we see new things and find new photos that we absolutely love.
We recommend Neva and her work 100%!
Out of all of the vendors/restaurants/companies I have interacted with so far in wedding planning, Neva has BY FAR been the most helpful, enthusiastic, and responsive. Even despite...
some constantly shifting engagement session plans (on my end) she was unwaveringly patient, positive, and willing to help. We were thrilled with the album from our engagement session, and are really looking forward to having her photograph our wedding next summer!
Neva was the best photographer. She was super accommodating with our budget for our intimate ceremony and she made my husband and I feel so comfortable in front of the camera. Abov...
e everything else though, my hair stylist flaked the night before the ceremony and Neva helped my maid of honor style my hair. It was the sweetest thing for her to do when she had no obligation to help with that whatsoever and it meant the world to me. When I look back at our wedding photos, I feel like Neva truly captured the emotions of that day and it literally brings tears to my eyes. My husband and I are both so glad that we went through Aveli Studios for our engagement and wedding photos. I recommend her 1000%.
Where can I begin about Neva?! She was an absolute dream to deal with! I have never hired a photographer, and was a little skeptical on hiring one online that wasn't recommended to...
me. However I decided to take the chance and was so blessed to have had Neva. She was not only EXTREMELY responsive to all our messages throughout the wedding process, but she also provided a detailed and extensive questionnaire that addressed everything, from the type of shots we liked to names and a brief history of how we met. She was extremely meticulous, punctual and communicative, and come the day of our wedding, I felt comfortable in letting her take control. We opted for an unplugged wedding, which allowed our guests to enjoy the moment without camera phones being in our faces, and free range for Neva to do what she does. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Neva for any photography opportunities that you seek, and will be recommending her to the multitude of friends that will be getting married in the future!
My husband and I the pleasure of working with Neva, owner of Aveli Studios, for our engagement and wedding photos in September, 2019, and we are thrilled with the results!
Neva's...
services were recommended by her cousin, who is a close friend of mine from childhood. From our first meeting, Neva was personable and professional. She made my husband and me feel comfortable and relaxed, and we felt free to be our silly selves during our photo shoots. To our surprise and delight, Neva edited and sent our engagement photos to us within 24 hours!
Neva's passion for, and dedication to her craft is beyond impressive! Something that sets her apart from other photographers is her enthusiasm. I never met a photographer who was equally (if not more) excited as her subjects during a shoot! Between shots, Neva squealed, "Oh my gosh, that's too cute! That is so perfect!"
Neva's love for her work is reflected in every photograph she takes. Some artists prefer to separate themselves from their subjects when they work; Neva is the exact opposite. She made a connection with us and she was genuinely invested in our story. Her sense of humor, kindness, and passion shine through her work. She made us feel like we were creating and sharing something together as a community.
My husband and I are honored that Neva put so much effort and spirit into celebrating our special day. My family wholeheartedly recommends Aveli Studios to anyone celebrating a wedding, engagement, or other special event. In short: two thumbs way, way up!
If I could have Neva narrate my life through film, I think I would - and not because my life is at cool, but DAMN it would look amazing through her lens. Neva was the best choice I...
made for my wedding. At an absolute freaking steal for videography, she was there from dusk to dawn capturing all the moments that we needed to remember our day at its best. She was THE FIRST PERSON to arrive out our venue, and came early to take detail shots of the venue being set, took videos of me getting ready, the boys getting ready, our dog arriving, the ceremony, the dancing, you name it she was THERE. In fact, if I wasn't 100% sure she doesn't have a sibling I would guess that she has 30 twins doing all the work she did. On top of that, she just understands lighting, framing, and mood. The video she sent us the morning after (literally less than 24 hours) as a sneak preview made me cry - 14 times. And my dad. And my mom. And my coworkers. So don't book her if you like to have boring videos, I guess.
That's enough about her artistic style. LET'S GET TO THE PERSONAL STUFF. I think Neva might be my new best friend. Because what we need in life is people with integrity and who go above and beyond. Neva was not my wedding planner, but she has a event management background and kept us on time for everything we did. And she even helped manage some small fires here and there that had NOTHING to do with videography! So beyond just being an amazing artistic talent, she's the vendor we all need. My point is book this woman. You will never ever ever regret it.
Neva Sullivan is simply amazing. My husband and I got married in August 2019, and we are still so excited that we hired Aveli Studios! From day one, Neva was professional, timely, ...
and a joy to be around. It’s no secret she loves what she does! She took time to meet us and get to know us prior to our wedding day, and she made us feel completely comfortable on the actual day as our videographer. We could not be more pleased with our choice to trust her in capturing the best day of our lives. If we could, we would give her 6 out of 5 stars! Neva sent us a sneak peek 30-second video clip the very next day after our wedding, and we can’t wait to see the final full-length video. We know it will be nothing short of amazing because of Neva’s creativity and commitment to excellence. My husband and I highly recommend Aveli Studios as your wedding videographer – you won’t be disappointed!
I booked Neva after reviewing a couple clips of her sample work. The minute I saw her beautiful, artistic point of view, I knew I wanted her to capture my special day! I received a...
sneak peek video almost immediately after my wedding and it honestly took my breath away. I just received the finished video and was literally crying the entire time. She captured all the special moments from my wedding in the most intimate and caring way...and now I have this video to watch for years to come so I can re-live it and cherish these memories forever! From the bottom of my heart, thank you Neva!

thing to provide us with some amazing shots. It poured all day long on our wedding day but Neva was willing (excited, really) to shoot us outside and keep our dream of an outdoor wedding alive. She even brought us extra clear umbrellas to add to our stash so that every guest had a matching umbrella. We had spoken on the phone a few weeks before the ceremony about our vision for the photographs and she captured everything so beautifully. Our wedding guests actually couldn't believe that she wasn't a friend of ours because of how well she captured us. She was the perfect person to stealthily take great candids as well as direct us for more posed shots after the ceremony. We HIGHLY recommend her!
