Jill of all trades, From helping my mom bustle my dress multiple times, to taking every single photo I wanted, listening to my annoying requests to take photos on my cell camera, dealing with my insane huge family, to getting tackles by an adorable dog while taking our first look photos. She is an artist and I could not recommend her more. As soon as I got my sneak peak photos, just three short days after my wedding, I fell in love. I cannot stop staring at how beautiful and magical they are. Though having two weddings is tough, it is made a whole lot easier by having amazing vendors like Heather. I cannot wait to work with her again.

I knew that I just had to do a photoshoot with her so my husband and I booked a Christmas/Holiday shoot and my pictures came out amazing. My husband and I can be kind of awkward when it comes to taking pictures but she made us feel comfortable and instructed us what to do the whole way through. She doesn’t just take the picture, she used Christmas lights, tree branches, had us spraying fake fog, all to create cool affects in our pictures. I didn’t even have a venue but I knew wherever I was going to have the wedding I wanted Heather to take the photos. We were able to have phone calls with her and even meet with her in person. Heather is an artist. She makes taking photos fun and easy. I personally never feel comfortable in photos but Heather guides you with everything from hand placement to relaxing your eyebrows, which I needed! She is creative when taking her photos, she used fairy lights in some photos and they came out breathtaking. I had my wedding up in bear mountain, she drove up there and back and even stayed an hour extra to make sure we got the shoots we wanted. Heather usually texted back very fast, as well as her assistant Terri. She always answered my questions and her timeline really helped make the wedding day go smoothly. She would check the timeline to see if things were going as planned. Heather also works so fast. After the wedding we met with Heather to have an adventure shoot, the day after we had a sneak peek of our photos, and I still cannot get over how gorgeous they came out. I cannot recommend Heather enough.

Throughout the wedding planning process, Heather had been available for phone calls when we needed them, especially with the planning/replanning due to COVID. With COVID, we could not have most of our friends/family attend, so they were thrilled to see these pictures so soon after the event! We were absolutely blown away by her perspective behind the lens. She was by far our favorite vendor and we are so happy to have her photos to remember all of the good that came of 2020 and our special day.

She had sent me some samples of weddings she'd shot before, and the vibe was exactly what I was looking for. Two weeks ago my fiancée and I had our engagement shoot with Heather, and it went even better than I expected (and my expectations were high!), and the photos are more beautiful than I ever could have imagined. Heather made the both of us so comfortable. I was so afraid the day would be corny and unnatural, but the time flew by and we had so much fun during the shoot. (Not to mention she had great recommendations for location - I highly recommend Sunken Meadow Park!) Now I have to somehow decide which of these beautiful photos will be my save the date... and will probably frame the rest because they are so stunning. I cannot WAIT for Heather to shoot my wedding next September and I'd be happy to update this already glowing review afterwards, though I'm sure it will be more of the same - wonderful person, comfortable experience, breathtaking photos. She was early and also stayed late the day of our wedding .. by TWO HOURS of her own time, just because she wanted to make sure she captured everything we wanted. She allowed me to send photos of pictures I wanted recreated and she executed every one of them. I have a two year old daughter, who is not easy to work with . Terrible twos are hitting hard! And she was so patient with her , and somehow managed to capture beautiful photos of her. Lastly, she sent me approximately 40 fully edited photos less than two days later as my teasers. I was shocked with how quickly she got them to me and the amount she has already shown me! I can not recommend her enough!

our mini wedding (literally a 4 min town hall ceremony) and the day just literally wouldn’t have been the same without her. We were both absolutely bummed to have to postpone but definitely still wanted to get married this year... she made us feel as if it was still our “big day” and that we were the center of it! She snapped some photos before and during the ceremony then got so many perfect shots afterward, making sure to get every photo we mentioned in a call we had leading up to the day. Scheduling appointments with her is easy, you can just go to her website and book any time she has available in her calendar. She also has an assistant, Terri, who will respond right away after booking an appointment, which is super nice and reassuring that you got through! Back to the photos: We are typically awkward people in front of the camera but Heather gives such clear, concise directions to remedy that!! She literally always goes above and beyond... taking photos at different locations and spending extra time to get the best angle, lighting, setting... everything... it’s truly amazing. For our engagement session and the mini-wedding we received sneak-previews the night of (engagement session- about 20 pics, mini-wedding about 50 pics) and the full galleries (engagement- just under 300 pics, mini wedding- just under 700 pics) within a week. Waking up in the morning and seeing that our galleries were available was the best feeling. We absolutely recommend her for your big (or small!) day and all the events leading up to it!

We quickly put down our deposit and became contracted with Never There Yet without any hesitation and I am so happy that we did! We could tell right away Heather's photography style was perfect for us. From the beginning Heather was so accommodating, and very thorough in explaining how the day would go (for me that is important!). The day of the wedding, we felt that Heather played a huge role not only as photographer but also in helping the wedding timeline move along and stay organized. You can tell she has has a ton of "day-of" experience. She was evening jumping in to help the boys when they were struggling to get their boutonnieres on and little things like that throughout the day - a huge help! As for the photos - we could go on and on! I was so excited to see the email come through with the photo link. First of all, neither my husband or myself are huge photo people (we almost never take out the camera for photos of ourselves), but Heather made the sessions throughout the day easy and effortless while capturing so many amazing moments. We could tell by everything she was doing that the photos were going to come out amazing - and all of our guests said the same thing! Everyone loved Heather and kept saying how great of a job she did for us, even before the photos came back. Everything of course came out AMAZING and we could not be happier. The ceremony photos, the portraits, and all of the detail photos all came out beautifully, and we have more than enough to share with family and friends. In the moment everything is so beautiful but with so much love and excitement and emotion, it is hard to take it all in. Getting our photos back was so exciting as it was so great to see all of the details that we couldn't fully absorb the day of - from the decor and food to the more candid photos of our guests (probably my favorite part)! 9th in Long Island. I had seen heather’s work from a coworker who had used her a while back and was honestly sad that I had booked someone else. OMG! Heather genuinely cares so much and won't stop shooting until she knows she's captured everything for you. For our engagement shoot, she drove all the way to New Jersey for us with no added cost. And at our wedding, Heather stayed for our afterparty on our wedding day to capture the special moments two hours past our initial contracted time. Two days after the wedding, everything with Coronavirus escalated. Heather knew I worked in the travel industry and how badly affected my industry was and she checked in with me to see how I was doing. To me, this little action speaks so loudly of the kind of person she is. When you hire Heather, you aren't just another wedding to her - every detail, moment, and person apart of that day is just as important to her as it is to you. I can say with confidence there isn't a single shot that Heather was unable to capture. If there's one vendor you absolutely need with you on your big day, it's her!

we got back and the quality are amazing. She was so sweet to work with and once the party started you didnt even realize she was there taking photos. I really wanted to enjoy our cocktail hour and she made sure all family photos got done before that so we could enjoy it with our guests. Wedding planning can be really annoying and difficult at times- Heather made the photo portion seamless and gave us the direction I didn't even know we needed. To say she's professional, organized, warm and supremely talented is an understatement. We spoke multiple times on the phone to get an idea of the general goals. We were adamant about not having photos looking "white washed" by flash or being too staged. Day of the wedding, she blended into the crowd and got so many wonderful candids from the perspective of a guest enjoying the party. Her husband (shout out to Raghu for being an awesome assistant!) was also a true professional, so helpful and positive throughout the day! Heather also worked wonders on my crazy family dynamic and made everyone feel important in the endless series of formal family photos and arrangements. Her photos really speak for themselves. They're unique, warm, romantic, fun and emotional all at the same time. Heather, thank you so much for capturing our day. Brian and I will cherish these forever.

There were moments that I was worried I was asking too much but she never made me feel that way. Heather has a way of making brides feel like they are the only wedding she is working with for an entire year. From hair and makeup in the morning to the moment my guests left the reception, Heather captured it all. She also took charge in moments where there could have been a lot of chaos (family photos, etc), and she was extremely nice while still directing everyone to make sure we got the best shot. I was so happy with her work and I will use her in the future for other projects if we need a photographer. Would highly highly recommend!

My husband and I confirmed how happy we were with our decision after our engagement shoot when we left a (potentially) very awkward situation being photographed in public places feeling nothing but comfortable and excited. On our wedding day, Heather was the MVP. Not only did she work behind the scenes capturing the most beautiful shots while I was focused on getting ready, but she also kept us moving exactly on time and in an ultra-organized manner while my wedding planner was setting up between the venue and the church. Following the wedding ceremony, my husband and I hopped into the get away car only to discover the driver didn't know where he was going and neither of us had our phones for GPS. Heather saved the day, hopped in with us, and simultaneously navigated us through Manhattan traffic while also capturing some of my favorite shots of my husband and I just moments after the ceremony. Safe to say my day was significantly less stressful and many crises were averted thanks to Heather and her team. The other thing that was important to me was to have a photographer who could manage a wide variety of personalities. My family is *very* outspoken and direct, my husband's family is more relaxed and low key. Photography can be a touchy subject as many family members and friends handle being photographed differently, but all I heard throughout the day from both families and the entire wedding party was how spectacular Heather was in making them feel comfortable and actually making being photographed FUN. As I'm sitting here today looking through the photos (which Heather got to us way ahead of schedule), I can't believe how perfectly Heather captured details, moments, personalities, and memories. Her style, her editing, and her eye came together in the most beautiful way with these photos and I'll treasure them forever. All in all, I can't describe how lucky we were to find a photographer like Heather. She's professional, brilliant, and someone who just has a natural sense of making people feel understood. In my opinion, the quality of Heather’s work is unparalleled, and her warm presence, attention to detail, and natural command of her craft truly helped to make our wedding day the best day of our lives. We got married this past Sunday 4/28/19 at Flowerfield. We had a twilight ceremony, and Heather was there from morning until the very end, when my family and I were leaving the venue (around 10pm). By noon today (Tuesday, and far less than 48 hours after she left our wedding), Heather sent us a link to over 300 edited “sneak peek” photos, each more beautiful than the next. Our families have told us that they are crying over how absolutely perfect our pictures are. Heather is not only a wedding photographer - she is truly an artist. I have NO idea how I will pick out pictures for an album, as I’m in love with every single one! Photography was the number one most important vendor for me when planning our wedding, and I was dead set on natural, authentic, light and airy, artistic, and personal photos that truly captured the love in the room on our wedding day. I must have looked at dozens of Long Island-based vendors and just could not find what I wanted. After sampling another photographer for our engagement photos and feeling extremely underwhelmed by the experience, photographer, and photos, I was worried that what I was looking for just didn’t exist within our location and price range. Shortly after, I saw Heather’s booth at a wedding showcase. After speaking with Heather and looking at her photos, my mom and I looked at each other and basically knew we had found the one. Heather’s assistant Adrienne shot our engagement party last May, and Heather edited the photos herself. As soon as I saw those pictures (which I got back less than a week after our party!), I 100% knew that we had made the right choice. In the months leading up to our wedding, Heather was communicative, so warm and personable, and the calmest and most even-keeled presence. I felt that I could call, email and text her with any question, big or small...and I definitely did so! We spoke several times in the weeks leading up to the wedding, and I shared shot lists, sample pictures, and more with her, and she was so receptive and incredibly open to hearing exactly what I wanted. On the day of the wedding, both she and Adrienne (who was our second shooter) were everything I could have dreamed of and more. My husband (ahh!) does not love taking pictures, and I shared with Heather that I didn’t want anything too staged or inorganic, as that’s not our style. She gave us gentle guidance and posed us in ways where we looked like the best and most natural version of ourselves, and captured tons of candids, which was very important to me. My husband and I have HUGE smiles in every picture! We had a big bridal party and we have a pretty sizable extended family, and Heather and Adrienne both handled every single interaction with grace, poise, endless patience, good humor, and, of course, exquisite skill. My dad compared their precision and attention to detail to a special ops mission -- they were laser-focused and captured every single thing I had asked for, and much more, while sticking to the scheduled timing and keeping everything moving and everyone happy. They also worked seamlessly with our videographer, bridal attendant, and every person and vendor they encountered. I’ve thanked them both multiple times, but truly can’t put into words how absolutely perfectly they captured our wedding day. As a further testament to Heather’s work, my sister is getting married this June and is having Heather as her photographer, too! I truly cannot recommend Heather and Never There Yet photography enough, and feel incredibly lucky that I found her. Book her, book her, book her - you will NOT regret it!
