d reception venue that was unique and outside the norm without compromising any of the features that more traditional wedding venues offer. The museum provided amazing accommodations for dinner, cocktail hour, dancing, a ceremony, indoor and outdoor photos, a bridal suite, and so much more. Guests were able to explore the galleries and there were so many bright and colorful spaces for photography. Given that the museum had art and color everywhere, we we able to keep our decorations simple and still have everything look vibrant and distinctive. We typically dislike posing for photos, but since each space was filled with art that was visually fun and unique, we had a blast impulsively roaming around for pictures. There are some areas/galleries that you aren’t allowed to take photos in, but even with that caveat there were too many great places to pick from. The staff was incredibly helpful, and never once made us worry that things weren’t accounted for. They were real pros. You’ll need to get an outside caterer, but NBMAA is experienced at working with a bunch of different vendors for all types of events, so we had no issues there. And the price was was really reasonable. There’s hundreds of things we could say about how much we loved NBMAA as our wedding venue. Even if you don’t get married there, go check it out! It’s a real gem.
