She was also great about checking in to see how things were going, if I had any questions or needed any other help. Trying to figure out venues from far away was a bit overwhelming but Rachel really helped immensely in pointing me in the right direction and helping to narrow down the options to something manageable. er but only for the reception portion and not intended to help us out with everything outside of that. I contacted MyWeddingInNewOrleans to ask for help, and they sent out our information to hotels. New Orleans is booked pretty solid for our wedding weekend so we were having trouble finding good hotels at a good price, but we did get some offers through that were pretty decent. We did not end up finalizing contracts with any of those hotels, as we ended up working with a smaller boutique hotel that gave us a great deal. But had that hotel not come through, we definitely would've ended up signing with one of the hotels that contacted us with a quote. The quotes, admittedly, did not come through super fast (they filtered in over a period of two weeks or so), but that's why we got started early. We also got a pair of complimentary wedding beads through the mail from the New Orleans Wedding website, which was really unexpected and fun. And I believe they offer to put together gift bags for your hotel guests (don't quote me on that, as we haven't used that service yet).

Her research helped me save time and directed me to quality vendors who helped make our October 7, 2018 wedding- an event that all 155 guests concluded, was the best wedding they had ever attended. The food, the warm hospitality of the culture, the unique wedding traditions (second line parades through the city) and an exceptional venue created an exceptional experience.

The process is a no-brainer... contact Rachel and she alerts countless area hotels with your group details on your behalf. From there, each available hotel rep will email you with their proposals. All you have to do is wait for the offers to roll in... and they will; tons of them! Trust me, it doesn't get any more simplified than this. With all of the stress and uncertainty that can come with wedding planning from afar, it's awesome that the CVB provides a service such as this (including venue & vendor recommendations, brochures, etc.). The time it will save you to focus on the million other aspects you must handle, is invaluable. Don't hesitate another minute; go for it!!

he millions of options out there as well as the many “deals” that companies tried to talk us into. We were lost and confused with where to start and how to know we were making the right decisions. Finding New Orleans & Co. is what made our destination wedding experience (at Our Lady of Guadalupe), second line by (The Messy Cookers & NOLA Swing) and reception (530 Bourbon) incredibly positive, organized and full of support. Working with Rachel allowed us to make decisions with confidence. We were able to do more than we could have imagined within our trip, while at the same time staying within our means. I cannot stress enough how important this support was for us; we would not go back and do it any other way. I am so thankful for them and making our wedding day become the wedding that our friends and family are still talking about months later.

During one of our wedding planning trips in Nola, Rachel also provided us with numerous New Orleans maps and brochures for the goody bags that we made for our guests. Our guests loved the maps and brochures, especially our guests that had never been to New Orleans! Rachel really helped ease our stress of planning a destination wedding and was a wonderful resource!

the Convention and Visitors Bureau to be extremely helpful. We were provided with visitors’ guides and walking maps for all of our guests. We added these to our welcome bags and our guests found them extremely useful. We also received bride and groom wedding beads in the mail congratulating us on our upcoming wedding, it was a sweet surprise! We must thank Rachel her help and her responsiveness to our needs. The amount of attention and care you provided us is unmatched....thank you for making us feel welcome! For the majority of our guests it was their first time in New Orleans and we’re already planning a one-year anniversary visit, everyone wants to return the the place they attended “the best wedding ever”!!!

Also there were a lot of venues that I probably would not have known about without their help. Once we had the venue picked, she was so helpful in providing information that we included in our welcome bags for our guests. Being that it was a destination wedding, a majority of our guests had never been to NOLA so including a information booklet about the area restaurants, things to do and then a pamphlet with the history and self guided walking tour of the French Quarter was awesome!
