Jevne is the kind of person that makes me want to create a BUSINESS LISTING ON YELP because of how good she is. I so desperately needed to leave a glowing 10 star review on every platform so here I am. I knew about broadway bodies before, and was really sad they shut down. But thankfully New York bodies was founded. My fiancé and I really wanted to have a dance performance at our wedding with our wedding party, and decided to submit a request to have a private class for our Bach/bachelorette weekend. Jevne is seriously phenomenal. Like amazing. I legitimately do not think I can think of a better instructor, dancer, and professional that should run what I think is one of the best ideas, and she went above and beyond our expectations. Her energy, honesty, genuineness really sets her apart. If I have to ever figure out a dance again, I'm going to go to her. If I have to recommend someone for my friend, I am going to her. My fiancé, my bridesmaids, his groomsmen, all were in love with her. She is an absolute rockstar, making moves look cool and hip but completely doable with all the right energy and attention to detail. She made sure she understood our vision and completely brought it to life. It went beyond what we could have imagined. THANK YOU JEVNE! We can't wait to bring your choreo to life at our wedding!!

I don't even know where to start with our positive experience with Jevne and New York Bodies! About 4 weeks out from our wedding we realized we didn't even think about our first dance yet. I was furiously researching options and came across NYB. I got on the phone with Jevne and let her know what we were looking for and our availability and she was able to accommodate us quickly and also secure a local studio that was near where we lived in Brooklyn. On the first day of practice we were nervous but Jevne created a judge-free and calming space and soon we felt relaxed and comfortable. The dance was exactly what we were looking for—a mix of more "traditional" steps but a lot of fun and cheeky dance moves. She worked with us to tweak things where we needed. We did two lessons—the first to learn the entire dance and the second to clean up / practice with our shoes—and I left the second one truly sad that it was over but confident that we would do great. Jevne filmed everything so we could practice up until the day and was available for any questions and general support. On the day of the wedding, everyone was FLOORED by our routine because it was different, fun, and truly US. Jevne is a beautiful soul, skillful teacher, and all around amazing person to have in your corner, especially during stressful wedding planning. She created a positive atmosphere for both my husband and I so that we were both able to show up for each-other and give it our all. I was so proud of our teamwork that came out of the lessons. I can say this was by far the most fun we had leading up to the wedding day. THANK YOU Jevne. My husband and I are your fans for life.

I reached out to New York Bodies and Jevne when searching for a choreographer/teacher for my wedding dance. Our song is "I think I love you" performed by Tenacious D and I wanted something that was simple to execute but still fun and cheeky. Right from the start, Jevne was great about understanding exactly what I was looking for in terms of style of dance - and she even had someone edit my song for me to be more of an appropriate "wedding" length. We had three lessons in total - though we learned the entire dance in the first lesson so if you are pressed for time or budget, you could totally do that in a 90 minute session (Jevne will record you so you can recall it). I will say that I think three lessons was perfect over the course of about 4-6 weeks because in the first one we learned the whole thing and were able to practice at home, lesson two we made some tweaks, lesson three was "dress rehearsal" in our shoes which was also super helpful. While the dance itself was great and everyone at the reception loved it, the main reason I would highly recommend Jevne is her enthusiasm. She was AMAZING to work with. She brought pure joy and energy to every part of the experience and that is exactly what you want in this situation. It should be FUN and that's exactly how she made it. We never felt uncomfortable or awkward, it was a complete highlight of my wedding experience. I think it would even be a lot of fun for other events like birthdays, bachelorettes, renewals. Definitely recommend!
