Serving fresh, farm-to-table dishes, New York Kitchen is a restaurant and wedding venue located in Canandaigua, NY. With the tranquil waters of Canandaigua Lake nearby, sweethearts and their loved ones can celebrate with an exceptional meal surrounded by picturesque vistas. The multiple event spaces throughout the venue each boast their own character, offering something to suit varying styles. New York Kitchen is a non-profit that works to connect New Yorkers with the craft beverages, culinary traditions, and agriculture of the state. They offer classes for individuals to learn about pairing beverages, cooking, wine tasting, and to earn certifications. This is in addition to their restaurant which features cuisine that has been created with more than 80% locally sourced ingredients. In theTasting Room, individuals can learn about 60 different wines produced in New York while also enjoying craft beer and non-alcoholic beverages. The restaurant and educational center was established in 2006, known then as The New York State Wine & Culinary Center. It was founded through the combined efforts of Rochester Institute of Technology, Wegmans Food Markets, Constellation Brands, and the New York Wine and Grape Foundation. The dedicated team at New York Kitchen works with you throughout the planning process to help you organize an unforgettable fete. Each event space is customizable, allowing your ideas for your celebrations to come to life. The chefs, working with local farmers, provide cuisine that celebrates the state’s culinary history with fresh flavors. The expert bartenders help round off the meal with a range of specialty drinks, wines, craft beers, and more. Engagement parties, showers, and rehearsal dinners can be held here, in addition to weddings.

Every single person that attended claimed it was the best wedding dinner they had ever had. The chef was nice enough to come out and introduce himself to both the groom and me. He is highly talented! ing I knew she was the one I wanted to trust with this special day. She handled everything with a grace and calmness about her that made me stress free about the entire process. I had both my ceremony and reception at the NYWCC in the sands gallery. Austyn and her team had the entire room flipped in 45 minutes while guests were enjoying cocktails and flatbread pizzas. They did so much more than just provide the “venue”. They even created a custom menu when I asked to have a taco bar with margaritas!! All of my guests were raving about how unique our venue was and how on point the staff were. The event went off without a hitch and I owe it to Austyn and the amazing team at the NYWCC! I HIGHLY recommend to anyone looking to host a wedding or other event!!

set up even more beautifully than I had pictured and I did not have to lift a finger. My husband is a chef so we have very high standards when it comes to food, & once again NYWCC outdid themselves in this department as well. All of our guests raved about the food and the service. There was a major thunderstorm during our reception and the staff handled things so well, so professionally that most of our guests did not even notice how severe the storm really was. I could go on, but the point is that this venue is AMAZING!!!

Most importantly, the staff is amazing. From our first meeting to the wedding day and the day after, everyone we worked with was extremely helpful, flexible, willing to do anything to make this a special day. The bridal party was provided with a fantastic lunch prior to the ceremony, and we had tons of help with setting up the space. Everyone responded quickly to any concerns, and were wonderful.
I actually ended up getting sick partway through the wedding (turns out I'm allergic to walnuts!!) and our coordinator at the NYWCC was so helpful- she alerted my husband, got me medicine so I could get back out there, had the bartender make a special ginger ale to settle my stomach, and kept the guests happy and the party going at the reception.
It was a perfect day, I cannot say enough good things about this venue. I cannot wait to visit again on our first anniversary.
Every person that talked to me about my wedding told me that it was the best wedding they had ever been too! My husband and I agree 100%!! The venue, the food, the staff...there are no words to describe how incredible everything and everyone ...

This was the PERFECT venue for our smaller, more intimate, reception (50ppl) Christine was our contact, and she was excellent. The only "down" we had was the communication leading up to the big day...emails were not returned in a timely fashion...
. But, when all was said and done, I would not have chosen anywhere else. The dinner was amazing (sit down) and the appetiaers were GREAT (one of the servers made sure that Justin and I had a plate of one of everything at our table so that we didnt miss out while we greated guests). The transition from dinner to dancing was very smooth, and we recieved MANY compliments on how well every thing went.

My love for food began at a young age, growing up around my family’s Italian restaurant in upstate NY. After years of restaurant management experience, I realized my passion to plan other people’s lives (…or events) and started working at my friends' brewery in Washington, DC, as their Events Director. I recently moved back to upstate NY and am excited to be working at New York Kitchen! I planned my own wedding 4 years ago, and I am excited to plan your next special event.
