s the New York Marriott Downtown. Their competence, responsiveness, attention to detail, sensitivity to our guests and their needs, and always pleasant disposition made it so easy and so pleasant to manage our August, 2018 5-night wedding room block we arranged for our out-of-town guests.
Most significantly, we got many positive comments from our guests about their stay—and, in particular, about the hotel’s great customer service and the value received for the prime location in New York.
Jordan and Robin monitored the utilization of the block, sent us weekly updates about utilization, increased availability in nanoseconds, and helped our guests in many ways (change of room class; change of dates, etc.). They were always quick to respond to both me and our guests, as were just as quick in making sure all needs were met. The guests’ Welcome Gifts were delivered to their rooms as soon as they checked in, and, when a friend had to cancel at the last minute, the reception team made sure they returned their bag to us.
Even if your wedding is elsewhere in Manhattan—or in Brooklyn—the New York Downtown Marriott is a great option, given its proximity to the 9/11 Memorial, Liberty Island and other downtown attractions and its easy access to both the West Side and FDR Drives, and easy walk to all major subway routes, and its rates are generally lower than uptown hotels in its class. Most of our guests were relatively frequent visitors to New York, and they were pleasantly surprised at how much then enjoyed staying downtown. And you and they could not be in better hands than with Jordan and Robin.
