Steve and his team were absolutely incredible for our wedding. Great communication, very detail oriented, professional, and made all of our guests feel comfortable and have a great time. The guest absolutely loved the photo booth which I booked through him as well. Since then I have referred him to many people who absolutely love his work and have booked my daughters upcoming sweet 16 with him as well. Steve O with NY Sounds was the DJ for our wedding reception on July 27, 2019 and he crushed it! He played a great mix of songs that had our family and friends from all parts of the country - from Nebraska to New Jersey to Puerto Rico - up and dancing all night long. Our guests enjoyed the evening so much that they didn’t want the party to end and we forgot to do the bouquet toss (which I’m completely ok with) because there was never a lull on the dance floor. Steve DJ'd our wedding, and from the moment I met him in Starbucks to saying farewell on our big day, I am so happy we booked him! He is such a down to earth guy, knows his music, is very flexible and worked well with all of my vendors. Most importantly, he kept everyone on the dance floor, including myself! In looking at my reception photos, I realized the only photos of me are on the dance floor, accompanied by my friends and family! Everyone keeps telling us what a fun wedding we had, and it is in large part to Steve. Don't hesitate to book him!

I was just reviewing the NY Sounds web page and didn't find our review of Steve. My daughter's wedding was July 28, 2018 at the Indian Springs Country Club in Boynton Beach. My working with Steve was not only a pleasure, but he provided some great ideas to make the wedding unique and lots of fun. He helped us with our theme of "The Great Gatsby" with the right music, ideas on costumes and even what time to play certain songs. He told the caterer what he wanted and she fulfilled his requests. He met with me three times before the wedding and traveled to our home to make sure things went right. He even played officiant since he is a notary in the State of Florida. I cannot say enough good things about him, except if you want a great party, "Don't call Lou" call Steve.

I used NY Sounds for DJ/Entertainment for our wedding and my goodness did they go above and beyond! Jason showed up with an assistant and the two were absolutely amazing and had the party going the whole night. I would HIGHLY recommend NY Sounds to any and all.

Steve and Jay were awesome! Jay ended up DJing our wedding and everything was great. They really listened to what songs/types of music we wanted to play and felt out the mood of the crowd as well. We are still getting calls and texts about how good the music was. Thank you so much!

Steve is amazing. We moved to Boca from Kansas and had only 3 months to find a DJ for our wedding! New York Sounds exceeded my expectations for a DJ. Steve knows weddings. His planning experience shows. The order of our reception was perfect. Go with whatever Steve recommends when it comes to planning the reception. Our guests had an outstanding time thanks to the order of our reception. But wait it gets better. The DJ we had was Bret. He was awesome. The party came to life with the music and announcing he provided. He truly was the spark that lit our wedding party up! My wife and I received a plethora of praise for how diverse our music playlist was. Mo-town, reggae, country, pop, dance, even ska! Bret had my entire wedding grooving all night. The owner Steve was great. I enjoyed working with him very much. He was always very easy to get in touch with and very good at letting you know what to expect. We rented his photo booth which is always a huge crowd pleaser. What I loved most is that he gave me a flash drive containing all the images at the end of the night.

Always reachable, and he let us know when there was a problem with the kids misbehaving at the bat mitzvah, and handled them accordingly. Punctual and kept everyone dancing.

Jason and Steve are THE BEST in the biz. We had a very large - untraditional wedding and people are still raving about how incredible it was. Much due to our incredible entertainment. These guys are truly amazing. Thank you for all you do to make people's dreams come true!

Steve and New York Sounds were incredible! A testament to Steve’s work, at the end of the night I asked my husband what guests were saying about the wedding, and his response was “everyone loved the DJ”. He played music that appealed to all generations and everyone wanted to dance to. He was very professional and went with the flow when changes had to be made and was very easy to work with. Steve is energetic and charismatic which transferred into the experience he created for our guests. Steve/New York Sounds were recommended to us by a guest from another couple’s wedding and he was the only vendor we met personally (Florida was a destination wedding for us) and booked on the spot. We were confident he was the best of the business and were thrilled to see our instincts were right! He also put together a montage of photos that was projected during the father/daughter and mother/son dances that brought our parents to tears. The photo booth was a real crowd-pleaser too! He also provided and set up lights inside our venue that really made the ambiance in the room perfect. I would highly recommend Steve and NY Sounds to make any occasion exciting and fun for everyone of all ages! We could not have been happier with his Steve and his company!

Steve rocked da house at my wedding! One of my favorite moments from the whole day was waiting to be announced into the reception hall and hearing my guests screaming and clapping for us. It was one of the most amazing feelings I've ever had thanks to Steve. He had all of my guest dancing from start to finish. He played all the songs that I asked. He even gave us a USB with all the PhotoWall pictures that were taken from that day. Which was done by his wife who was absolutely amazing she was so polite and pleasant. She made sure me and my newly husband took photos at the photo wall knowing we would want them later but we're so busy at the time. I had a lot of compliments about her and Steve from my guests on how great the music was. I can't even say one bad thing about the whole experience with dealing with Steve he was always there for me and always answered any questions that I had. Please don't hesitate to call Steve you will not regret it. He has a lot of years of experience and knows a lot of different types of music so he won't let you down. Plus he has different types of packages that can fit all levels of budgets Thanks Steve!

We found Steve through a family friend's recommendation and to be honest, after speaking to him the first time, I was a little unsure as I'm personally more mellow but Steve really did an excellent job! He listened to and followed through on every one of my requests and was really great and attentive (but not overbearing) on the day of the wedding! I would absolutely recommend Steve!!

Steve is incredible as a DJ and as a person. My wedding was absolutely perfect and Steve played such a huge role in making it so. From our first phone call Steve made me feel comfortable and confident. He truly makes the day all about you! He was on call for me the entire week leading up to the wedding and was flexible and easy going. On the wedding day Steve arrived early and not only set up his own equipment but made sure that the venue was ready as well. Steve was amazing!! My husband and I got married this past December and he went above and beyond for us. He did everything we asked and so many other engaged couples at our wedding asked us for his information at our wedding because people continued to tell us how great our DJ was. My husband and I got married January 16, 2016 and Steve was our DJ! We booked him a year before our big day and words can't explain how great he was throughout the year! Steve was constantly in contact with me and my husband. He gave us a timeline of things we should have done. He also gave us updates on his newest DJ equipment that we could include in our wedding! Steve was easily accessible in terms of contact, very professional (even with his NY background), and was easy to work with. In terms of the actual day, he did an amazing job! We provided him with a song list which he followed perfectly and smoothly. He kept the crowd energized and interested the entire evening. His DJ set-up is top of the line, modern, and chic along with the uplights he was able to include! We could not be any happier with our decision to have NY Sounds DJ & Entertainment be part of our special day! Thank you Steve (and Pitti)! You guys were amazing!

Anyone planning a wedding needs to read this review! When my wife and I first met Steve, the owner of NY Sounds, he told us that the two most important vendors to book for a wedding are the DJ and the photographer. The DJ is the LIFE of the party, and literally can make or break the night. Steve was so down-to-earth and accommodating so we decided to book NY Sounds. This was one of the BEST decisions we made. The night of our wedding, NY Sounds provided great music and entertainment. Everyone at the wedding was constantly on the dance floor because of the great atmosphere the DJ created. NY Sounds made the night so special by adding lights, up-lighting, and flat screen TV's that displayed our pictures during dinner. I strongly recommend going with the TV package, which will also display father/daughter and mother son pictures during dances. This feature adds a great emotional component to the whole night...and the TV's also play music video mixes for songs--truly awesome stuff! The best part about NY Sounds is that everyone at the company is so nice and will bend over backwards to make sure your night is special. The company's packages are also very reasonably priced compared to other DJ's. Do yourself a favor and consider giving Steve a call if you are planning a wedding... I'm positive that you won't be disappointed!

NYS DJ's was very professional and well mannered during the whole process. They were on time and they met my crazy music demands perfectly. My family had some last minute surprises for me and he rolled with it and made it happen. I would definitely use NYS DJ's again and I would definitely recommend them. Steve is seriously the best. He was so personable and caring. He helped make my day perfect. He was interactive and got everyone up. He worked with my budget and played every song i requested. He made the room beautiful woth uplights. This is the best DJ hands down.

NY Sounds is more than a Dj, they provide entertainment and insure they keep you on track with your timeline. NY sounds was very responsive and made sure I didn't have any worries. I don't intend on getting married again but I would book them for any other party event.

Steve and DJ Frankie were great. My husband and I meet with them before the wedding and knew right there we made the right choice. Steve had the crowd pumped up all night and DJ Frankie kept them dancing. We are so happy we booked this duo.

Wow! where do i begin?! NY Sounds DJ was awesome! the music selection, my grand entrance, and the non-stop dancing was amazing. The fun photo-booth displaying the pics on the TVs is something none of my guest had seen before, sooo much fun, and it gave my wedding a luxurious feel. The up-lighting transformed my venue and took my wedding to the next level. I would highly recommend DJ Steve to everyone!!
