From the very beginning, we were drawn to Newagen because it offered something truly special: the ability for all of our guests to stay together on property and experience a private, unforgettable wedding weekend in one of Maine’s most beautiful coastal settings.
The Newagen team exceeded every expectation and brought a level of warmth, professionalism, and five-star service that made the entire experience so seamless. They worked tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure every detail was handled perfectly, even with unpredictable weather forecasts leading up to our day. Abby is truly extraordinary, and we cannot imagine our wedding without her. Her organization, calm presence, and attention to detail made such a difference. Maura and Sandy were also incredible, and we are so grateful for the care and support they provided throughout the weekend.
Beyond the exceptional service, Newagen itself is absolutely stunning. The grounds, ocean views, food, and overall atmosphere created the perfect backdrop for our wedding. Newagen Seaside Inn is a romantic, oceanfront wedding venue on a quiet island off the Maine coast, just 60 miles from Portland and minutes from Boothbay Harbor. It’s the perfect spot for couples who want an exclusive, whole-weekend celebration with their people.
Your weekend feels like a private coastal getaway: a lobster bake on the lawn, sunset cocktails by the firepit, welcome drinks in our cozy restaurant, and a seaside ceremony on our expansive lawn. Wander the gardens and gazebo for golden-hour photos, then enjoy a three-course dinner and dancing for up to 200 guests. (We also offer a limited number of tented weddings each season.)

If Newagen is available for your weekend, do not hesitate. We could not have scripted a better weekend if we tried to. It is a one of a kind place with a one of a kind staff.
Abby, Maura, and Tiffany are the dream team. The rest of the staff is on it all weekend. The rehearsal dinner lobster bake is over the top. The grounds for a ceremony cocktail hour and reception are 5 stars. Their team and coordination made our weekend so easy. We danced, we laughed, we drank and ate like a happy couple should all weekend. You cannot get this anywhere else.

Newagen in 2021 and we knew immediately it was somewhere special. When it came time for us to choose our own wedding venue, everything kept coming back to how amazing Newagen was and we knew there was no where else for us to tie the knot. Location and Venue (which cannot be beat!) aside, what makes Newagen a true hidden gem is the people. Maura, Tiffany, Abby, and every member of the Newagen Staff handled our wedding with an unmatched level of professionalism but more importantly made us feel like part of the family. Our wedding weekend went off without a hitch, and even due to last minute changes with weather which can be stressful and upsetting for some, the Newagen team made us feel reassured and confident in the right moments. Our weekend was perfect, from the famous Lobster Bake rehearsal dinner on Friday, through the ceremony and reception in their beautiful ballroom and then onto the after party space on Saturday, and when it came time for check out Sunday, our guests and families had nothing but great things to say about the property, party, and people. Newagen is truly a special place and we cannot recommend them to anyone enough who wants a full service wedding weekend set on some of the most beautiful coast that Maine has to offer. We cannot wait to continue celebrating for years to come up at the Newagen Seaside Inn.

ly extraordinary! All questions were answered promptly, even when they'd been asked and answered previously. Everything was organized and efficient, and when a transportation issue arose that was outside of their control, the entire team swung into action to have it addressed promptly. The food was fabulous, the servers, bartenders and other staff were attentive and friendly. The Inn and gardens were beautiful. We'd like to recognize Abby for all her assistance as well. Thanks to everyone for making the weekend (and all our stays there) so very special!

The Newagen Seaside Inn offers breathtaking views of the Maine coastline, providing a picturesque backdrop for our ceremony and reception. The serene ocean vistas and lush gardens created a romantic and intimate atmosphere that our guests are still raving about. The natural beauty of the venue meant we needed minimal decorations, allowing the scenery to speak for itself.
From the moment we booked the venue, the staff at Newagen Seaside Inn went above and beyond to ensure our day was perfect. Maura and Tiffany were attentive, organized, and incredibly helpful, guiding us through every step of the planning process. On the day of the wedding, the staff executed everything flawlessly, allowing us to relax and enjoy our special day.
Our guests loved staying at the inn, which offered charming and comfortable accommodations. The rooms were well-appointed, and the ocean views from the balconies were a delightful bonus. Having our family and friends stay on-site made the weekend feel like a mini-vacation for everyone. We are still hearing from friends and family that they want to go back and stay for another weekend!
The food was exceptional, with a menu that highlighted fresh, in season, local ingredients. Guests loved the salad and second course dish before the main entree as a special touch. Our guests were particularly impressed with the seafood options at cocktail hour and the lobster bake, which were a true taste of Maine. The steak was probably one of the best I've ever had (and that is saying a lot because wedding food isn't something that is typically raved about!) The dining staff was professional and attentive, ensuring that every guest was well taken care of. Guests were very impressed by the servers plating everyone at each table at the same time. Newagen really thinks of the smallest details to make such an impressionable impact for their guests.
The Pine Room where we held the after party was a perfect old school touch to the overall style of the inn. We loved being able to use this space all weekend and having the place to ourselves!
Our wedding at the Newagen Seaside Inn was everything we dreamed it would be. All of the staff at the inn including Maura, Tiffany, Abby, Linda and all of the bartenders made us feel so welcome and truly like family. The combination of stunning scenery and comfortable accommodations made it an unforgettable experience for us and our guests. We HIGHLY recommend this venue to any couple looking for a beautiful and stress-free wedding weekend in Maine.

Maura was amazing and responsive with the booking of the venue and sales process. She was so responsive in answering all my questions and helping us navigate putting the weekend structure together. The reins were smoothly handed over to Tiffany as the weekend got closer and she ensured everything ran smoothly through the weekend. We held a lobster bake Friday evening, ceremony and reception Saturday and a farewell breakfast Sunday morning. Every single aspect was flawless. Tiffany and her team kept things running on time, making sure everything I brought (decorations and the like) was put out so that my husband and I could just spend time with friends and family. It felt that every time I had a concern or a question, I could ask Tiffany and she'd have already thought of it/handled it.
I truly cannot say enough about how amazing the staff was. From the front desk staff, managers, coordinators to the waiters, everyone made us and our guests feel at home, taken care of and special. My husband and I will definitely be returning to celebrate anniversaries and will recommend this venue to anyone.
The property has so much to offer guests (pool, pickle ball, sunset path) and is not far from the cute downtown harbor and local sites like the coastal Maine botanical gardens. The chef was fantastic and the food was delicious. Highly recommend going to their pub for a bite if you are in the area and are considering this venue.

in Ford. Newagen Seaside Inn not only made the process completely stress free, they succeeded in delivering the most magical wedding we could have ever hoped for our daughter and son-in-law.
The planning process with Maura Nicholson was thoughtful, responsive, informative, and helpful. The Planning Pod made capturing all the itinerary, meal selections, RSVPs, and details very easy. Invoices were handled so well.
We were able to extend our stay through a four night holiday weekend making travel much easier for our family and friends in a beautiful vacation destination. Being a local midCoast Maine resident of Georgetown, it brought so much joy to see our community shine. It brought to life our memories of our daughter's work on the Eastwind, boating, our All Saints parish, and our guests delighted in this.
The transition from planning to execution under the expert guidance of Maura and then Tiffany Randle, we felt well cared for as parents & wedding couple. The vision that Sally & Austin prepared for was fully on view throughout the wedding weekend.
Newagen Seaside Inn provided the perfect backdrop. To say quintessential Maine feels cliche because it is so much more. It is Abbie and the front desk crew providing truly warm greetings and assistance throughout the weekend, and Tian and the bar crew expertly offering refreshments and connection to the guests. We had up to 160 guests attending events all weekend. The quality and speed of service kept refreshments in moderation and all enjoying every moment. It was incredible to watch the orchestration.
Every transition, meal, and offering was timely and smooth. The staff made it look effortless even though it was clear so much work and preparation went into every event.
From the Welcome Parties, to the Lobster Bake, S'mores and bonfires to the exquisite reception, the crew was warm, kind, helpful and offered the very best in hospitality and quality of service. Each event was a delight.
From the moment we arrived on Thursday, it just rolled without a single worry. Every time I needed any assistance or had a quick question, Abbie and Tiffany were there with the expert answer & anticipating every need.
The lobster bake rehearsal dinner served 113, and it was absolutely delicious. So loved by all. The Cape Harbor Room reception & cocktail hour at the gazebo were fantastic. The food, refreshments and service were exquisite. My personal favorite course with the scallop second course. I have never had a better scallop in all my life! Perfection!
The pub menu, Summer Picnic & breakfasts were incredible. So yummy & delightful. The extended times for guests to arrive & eat made it so easy to visit with everyone and feel like we got to connect with and enjoy each person that attended.
The Pine Room, lodgings, grounds, dock, pool, and gathering areas were perfect. We felt like we were in our own home away from home celebrating with family.
The shuttle & golf cart made the days especially stress free for driving the wedding party to Boothbay, cottage drop offs after the reception, and guests that needed support around the property.
The sunsets over Georgetown from Rachel Carson's special rocks brought an incredible feeling to every evening. If we could do it all over again, we would!

What I loved most about you all is that you never made us feel like this was just another wedding at Newagen. perty. Our actual wedding weekend did not fall short of AMAZING!! All of our guests are still raving about the weekend and have continuously said it was the best wedding weekend ever! Our wedding coordinator was Sandy, we give her 10 stars. We live out of state and had to communicate frequently with her. Of course we had lots of questions and concerns, but Sandy was there for every need. She responded to every email (and there were a lot!) in a timely manner and made us feel at ease during a very stressful time. She is a huge asset to their team.
Upon arrival at the inn, guests were greeted by very friendly staff, Abby (general manager) and her staff were extremely accommodating to all of their needs. We had guests arriving at all different times throughout the day and the front staff was very helpful to get them all checked in.
The best part of the weekend, and our most selling point (beside the gorgeous views) was that the inn was only booked for our wedding guests. The entire property was ours and made us truly feel like royalty.
Furthermore, we can't say enough about the food! Throughout the weekend and of course the actual reception, the food was amazing! They have a very talented chef there, Nathaniel Adam, and we can't say enough! We've been to lots of weddings and the food doesn't compare.
Finally, the staff was the friendliest as can be. The staff worked multiple events throughout the weekend and were there for every need. As you walked the property you would always get a friendly smile and hello. Abby, the general manager, was such an amazing person to work with! She was on site most of the weekend and was always there to help us.
I would highly recommend the Newagen Seaside Inn to anyone who is thinking about getting married on the beautiful coast of Maine. We can't wait to go back every year!

biased, I have been told by many that ours was the best wedding they had ever been to and I would have to agree! After our first meeting with Cheri, I knew that Newagen was THE place, and that was even on a cloudy day in October. She welcomed us with open arms and allowed us to envision our special day at Newagen. I primarily worked with Sandy Timberlake who was a joy to work with. She helped us through the process and making deadlines. From the laid back classic perfectly executed lobster bake by the ocean, with the giant chess game and fire pit, to the outside cocktail hour and wedding reception inside. The old school bowling and billiard room was the perfect post wedding party with snacks. Everything was executed perfectly. We ended with brunch the following morning. Also, the inn was newly renovated and all the cottages were fresh and inviting! I have the fondest memories and Newagen and the staff! Cheri and Sandy were amazing and anyone would be lucky to have their wedding weekend at this gorgeous Maine Inn.

closest friends and family, the inn and all of the staff truly hold a very special place in our heart’s. The feel of Newagen is simply spectacular. As the bride, I never once felt stressed once I stepped on the property. It’s actually impossible NOT to relax there. The staff are all extremely helpful, approachable, and ensured that every single person had the best time imaginable. Sandy worked so hard execute everything as smoothly as possible. She was a joy to work with every step of the way. Corinne, Abby, Debbie, Tian, Ricardo, Noelle, Tiffany, and Janele -(just to make a few!) made us and our guests feel like VIPs and by the end of our weekend the staff was like a part of our family. Another shoutout certainly goes to the cleaning staff and the landscaper, Doug who all work so hard to keep the inn looking absolutely gorgeous inside and out! And of course, the FOOD was spectacular and we heard that feedback that from many many guests. Nathaniel is truly a professional and a master at his craft. We can’t wait to return for many years to come. Thank you to everyone at Newagen for an OUT OF THIS WORLD wedding that completely exceeded all of our expectations.

Between the rehearsal dinner, welcome party, and wedding itself we truly felt like we made the property our own and got lots of meaningful time with everyone. The scenery speaks for itself, the food at the Inn was great, but what really made the weekend perfect was the outstanding service at Newagen. Sandy Timberlake the wedding coordinator was always responsive to my constant emailing prior to the wedding and went above and beyond to take care of all of the set up for the weekend to ensure everything ran smoothly so I (and my sister and mother) could enjoy themselves. Abby the general manager is also wonderfully kind and even swooped in to pick up guests when our planned transportation had some hiccups. The bartenders, servers, and other staff were also so thoughtful and kind and did everything they could to make guests really feel at home.

and just over all vibe, we could not have ask for anything more, icing on the cake was that it was 78 and sunny in mid June! Newagen initially caught my husbands attention because he saw they had a pool table in the game room. We scheduled a visit with Cherie ( who was awesome) and from the moment we stepped out of the car we just got all the right feels. Having the entire place for just our guests, right on the water for the whole weekend was a big part of why we picked this venue. I cannot say enough good thing about Sandy Timberlake, she was absolutely amazing to work with throughout the entire planning process. She is so responsive, experienced and happy to go above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect. I did not worry about one detail from the moment we arrived until the time we left, it was literally the perfect weekend spent with our closest family and friend in the most beautiful spot. We had a lobster bake rehearsal dinner on-site the night before the wedding, the food was amazing, the setting was beautiful with the bistro lights and some live music, plus no one had to be bused anywhere, everyone just got to enjoy kicking off the weekend. We had our ceremony in Boothbay (10 mins down the street) at the cutest little white church "Our Lady Queen of Peace", the bridal party took a boat right from the church back to Newagen which was a fun little touch. Cocktail hour and reception were perfect and then a another great perk, you can have the after party right on-site in the Pine Room (pool, shuffle board, bowling). Literally the only thing I would change is that I wish it could have been a 4 day weekend. If you are looking for a magical place to get married, with an amazing team to help make it perfect I highly recommend Newagen Seaside Inn!

t being able to have all of your loved ones stay on site and to have every wedding-related event on one property. It doesn’t just make things easy and functional, it’s ridiculously fun too! As a guest, every person you run into that weekend is there for the same wedding you are, which creates a really exciting atmosphere. And as a bride or groom, it is awesome to not have to worry about how to get people from one place to the next and to know that the Newagen has a ton of fun things to do so you don’t need to be concerned about providing entertainment pre-wedding. There is the Pine Room, which has candlepin bowling, shuffleboard, pool, ping pong and more (this was a big hit with our guests not just during the after party but also throughout the weekend) and then there is a giant chess board, bicycles, corn hole, beautiful scenery to explore and of course, a bar! And I should mention that the bar/pub serves AMAZING food. Besides being a prime location for both a party crowd and those who might be more into relaxing, the Newagen also has the most friendly, accommodating and genuinely fun staff I’ve ever encountered. They even danced with my Grandma during the reception and she can’t stop talking about what a great time she had with all of the folks who work there :). And then there is Maddie Rideout, Wedding Coordinator Extraordinaire! I had the best experience working with Maddie from start to finish. I never waited more than a couple of hours for a response to a question and felt that she was totally engaged in our wedding and committed to helping me bring our vision to life. By the time our wedding weekend rolled around, Maddie felt more like a friend than anything else. In short, we had the wedding weekend of our dreams, our guests are still telling us how much fun they had and the Newagen Seaside Inn is a place that we will gladly recommend to anyone that wants to have an unforgettable Maine wedding!

I stumbled upon Newagen Seaside Inn back in March of 2016 via a Google search. At that time, I had begun searching for a place to host an elopement ceremony/intimate wedding. I had...
been searching tirelessly for month but I couldn't seem to find any facility that really struck me, until Newagen Seaside Inn.
From the moment I found the Inn I was struck by how beautiful the grounds and facilities were and I fell in love with the rocky Maine shore that surrounded it. As someone that grew up vacationing in Maine, the state has a special place in my heart and my fiancé has grown quiet fond of it as well, once we saw the Inn, we knew this was it!
I reached out to the Inn via their wedding questionnaire on their site and quickly received a response back from Cherie Scott. The response was warm, enthusiastic and informative. After talking over a few things with Cherie, I quickly booked our elopement package as well as four nights at the Seahorse Cottage.
Over the next year and a half I was in frequent contact with Cherie as she assisted me in any inquiries I had. She really helped make our wedding into the beautiful day that it was. I'd email her with questions and she'd email me back with answers or suggestions. She was incredibly kind and patient and genuinely cared about our special day. She assisted in everything from providing the initial quote, to helping me book, to putting us in touch with our officiate and booking a dinner in the pub for 16 people. To say that Cherie was amazing is a vast understatement. She is an incredible asset to the Inn and they, as well as any customer she comes in contact with, are extremely lucky to have someone with such skill and initiative.
Though I didn't get to meet Cherie during our stay, she had put everything in motion with the staff we did come in contact with to make sure our day and the days that followed went off without a hitch. She even followed up with us after to make sure everything was satisfactory!
Everything day of was beyond beautiful. Everything from arrival, to the ceremony, dinner and games in the Pine Room went perfectly and without a hitch. My husband (feels so strange to say!) and I are still in awe at the beautiful day we had and the Newagen Seaside Inn and it's staff were a huge part of it. It still feels surreal! I think we were expecting at least a little hiccup as that seems to be what happens with planning events but there was not one to be found. Everything was perfect down to the finest detail.
The staff there was phenomenal. I cannot thank our day off coordinator Sandy enough for how professional and accommodating she was. She was fantastic! She even went so far as to secure a golf card to help my grandparents to and from the lawn, and for that I cannot thank her enough. Sally, our officiant that Newagen helped us secure was amazing as promised- from the second we met her I felt like I had known her for a lifetime! The appetizers and dinner in the Pub were to die for, and all food was exactly as requested! Our waiter went above and beyond and was professional, accommodating and patient.
Our families cannot stop singing the praises of the Inn, it's grounds, the staff and the facilities.
You all really helped make our day amazing and I cannot thank you enough for all that you did. This is a truly special place with truly special employees. I'm so happy that we found you and we're able to make a lifetime of happy memories here with our families.

It was so nice to check in on Friday and not have to leave for anything! We did everything right on property – rehearsal dinner, s’mores, ceremony, reception, and after party! Maddie, the wedding coordinator, is excellent! We were unsure/nervous about some things leading up to the wedding, but she always answered our questions and reassured us that it would come together. She was also very helpful day of getting things where they were supposed to be and fixing last minute things we forgot. The staff was wonderful; they were so friendly and really seemed like they were enjoying themselves at the wedding. Food was excellent too! Our guests loved it – we still have people telling us how much they enjoyed it there and asking us how we found the place. Highly recommend the Newagen!

ur wedding did turn out to be amazing, but Newagen is definitely overpriced for what it is, and they were extremely difficult to deal with in the planning process. If money is not an object and you are ok with just doing their standard wedding, then this is a great venue. We had wanted to do a few things that were not their "norm", and when we were trying to negotiate these items ran into a lot of push back. Maddie and Alyssa were very nice, but don't really have any authority in making decisions about things that are off-script. We ended up getting a passive aggressive email from the owner, Corrine, where she cc'ed my parents so that everyone would be on the "same page" about what was going on with our negotiations that they were unhappy about. It caused a lot of undue stress and tension that didn't need to occur, and we felt was very unprofessional on their part. My husband and I are in our 30s, highly educated, and both work in high powered, high stress professions, so to be treated like children in our wedding negotiations was extremely insulting. On the actual wedding weekend, the staff were great and the food was excellent (although we did go off menu for a lot of it), but the headache of dealing with Newagen leading up to the wedding was less than ideal

From transforming our kitchen into a completely kosher environment, to driving five hours to procure specialty donuts for a Groom’s cake, to eleventh hour varnishing of unfinished tables delivered by a third-party vendor, our entire staff prides itself on bending over backwards to help couples realize their dream wedding. We do not produce “standard” cookie-cutter weddings. We allow couples to share with us their vision and we get excited to work closely with them to make that happen. However, when a couple wants to work entirely outside of the scope of our experience and property limitations, it raises numerous red flags that we feel compelled to make them aware of. Asking our couples to adhere to our policies does not make us difficult; it means that we are invested in giving ALL of our guests the best possible stay. It is neither unprofessional nor passive-aggressive to communicate with the people whose names are on the signed contract. It is our fiduciary responsibility to include the parties who will be paying the bill so they are aware of the expenses being incurred.
When you reflect on your wedding, it is unfortunate that this is how you will choose to remember it, especially in light of the fact that your closest friends and family were effusive with praise all weekend. We consider ourselves very lucky to have hosted hundreds of joyful weddings and so many extraordinary guests from all over the world. Unfortunately, there are times that no matter what we do, there are guests that will consider themselves “above the rules” and will find cause to criticize and undermine. At these times, we will rely on the overwhelming number of positive experiences to shine through.

ests. I have repeatedly had people tell me that it was the best wedding they have ever been to! Yes, some of that had to do with my planning, but also it had to do with the magical venue and the wonderful execution of my requests on Newagen! We had perfect weather for our day and our guests were dazzled by the view. If you want an enchanting Maine wedding then this is where you should have it!
One thing that sets this venue apart is the food. This is not going to be terrible wedding food. It is all delicious. We did the Lobster Bake for the rehearsal dinner and it was a HUGE hit. The lobster was tasty, along with the other options, and our guests just felt like it was a perfect start to the wedding. The s’mores also add a cute touch!
The staff is also wonderful! The bartenders, servers and front desk staff were all so accommodating. They made it so our wedding ran super smooth. Amanda, our wedding coordinator, was great as well. She did not come on until only two months before our wedding and previous to her, the wedding coordinator was leaving so we were not getting the attention I felt we should, but once Amanda was on the job she made it so the day ran smoothly.
And you can’t beat the views! My pictures are absolutely fabulous because of this venue. If we had to choose a venue all over again we would definitely go with Newagen! We can’t wait to go back for our anniversary!

, down to the very last detail. The food was absolutely amazing as well! Our guests are still talking about it all from the rehearsal lobsterbake to the after party pizza. The bonfire the night before the wedding and the after party in the Pine Room were also guest favorites! I could not have imagined of a better coastal Maine venue to have our wedding weekend held. agen did all of that. The staff was absolutely fantastic and really seemed like they enjoyed their work. They certainly went the extra mile to be sure everyone was comfortable. The setting is incredibly beautiful and you have a chance to take advantage of all the Newagen has to offer.
We went with an inside wedding in the new function room. We had 215 guest which was a bit crowded. I can't imagine a bigger party in that room. The air conditioner broke and the windows had to be closed due to noise complaints from the neighbors so it was really really hot (like mop the bride's sweat off with a towel hot). That was the only down part of the wedding. Luckily, because we had the whole inn to ourselves, guests could enjoy the deck and foyer to cool off.
The lobster bake rehearsal dinner and bonfire were a huge hit as was the after party in the Pine room.
Guests also stayed at The Ocean Gate and BeachCove Inns and were really pleased with their accomodations.
We loved every minute of our Newagen wedding weekend. I highly recommend it.
