About this vendor
In 1985, Muriel Barclay de Tolly opened the famous Muriel’s restaurant, in Newport, RI. On a dare, she entered her seafood chowder in the Newport Chowder Festival and went on to win for three consecutive years. This placed her in the Newport, Rhode Island Chowder Hall of Fame. Although she retired from her restaurant in 1999, her delicious seafood chowder recipe, with it’s “secret potion”, is still available.
Newport Chowder Company packets are great wedding favors or to use in gift bags to enjoy with your family and friends. Each Newport Chowder packet contains the “secret potion” along with Muriel’s award-winning seafood chowder recipe. Our Newport Chowder packets can also be personalized for your wedding, bridal shower or special event. Let us show you how!

We used Newport Chowder Company catering services for a smallish, outdoor family wedding party and they were great. Delivered exactly on time, with plenty of all the extras--spoons...
, cups, oyster crackers, etc.--and directions to keep and serve everything at its peak. Highly recommended!
They were wonderful, worked with my budget, and people keep telling me how good the chowder was.
