singing and dancing the entire night! Every piece in the band was incredibly talented from keyboard to vocals and horns/harmonica, and they're very personable! Perry, the band lead and our MC was so professional and organized - he knew exactly what he was doing and helped us get everything in order for the wedding in a timely manner! He communicated with the venue, sent us info sheets and details, and coordinated with us throughout the process. You can tell they've been playing together for so long and have great synchrony and energy! They even learned to play The Gambler by Kenny Rogers for us to end the night with, and their rendition sounded even better than the original - we were blown away! If you are thinking about booking Newsmaker, do yourself and your event a favor and do it!!

perbly. Perry did an excellent job energizing the dinner crowd for the wedding toasts. The bottom line was that nearly everyone attending the wedding remained to the end and they could not say enough about how terrific the band was and the experience they had. They also play great music, have amazing vocals, and the band members literally rocked the house all night! I received so many compliments. Literally would recommend them to anyone looking for a band for any event. They kept the crowd energized all night and did a great job MC-ing dinner hour for introductions and toasts. During the process Perry was very helpful (and patient) while I over analyzed the meaning of first dance songs. He always had great recommendations and really listened to want we wanted. He made everything go seamless and the best part, he made everything fun. Every conversation, email, etc. he would get me more and more excited for the big day. And- they deliver! Again, it has been a few weeks, but I am still beaming from ear to ear thinking about the night he gave us. We had family and friends telling us they haven't danced that much since their own weddings! We wanted a party and Newsmaker gave us a party! our budget with a big band sound. We saw them on videos online (it was a gamble), but let me tell you, the online videos DO NOT do this band justice! Perry was a joy to work with and really made the day ours. They will learn a song for you at the reception, your choice! Their set list is awesome and they are very energetic the entire night. We have many musically inclined family and friends who were asking for their business cards at the end of the night. THEY ARE REAL ARTISTS. Newsmaker interacts with the crowd so its not just music to dance to, its an experience. We received SO many compliments like "the best wedding I have ever been to" many times over. The dance floor was packed all night! They even played a few songs our guests requested that they didn't know and you have had no idea. They are very talented. Its worth the money, believe me we debated about it before booking. My advice, skip the photo booth and extra forms of entertainment.
