When we had our phone conversations with the DJ, he was very talkative about things...not about us. He kept talking about himself and his own wedding. On the phone call, he sometimes didn't seem like he even read the questionnaire we filled out, so why did we even do it? We ended up re-answering a lot of the same questions. He also did not like the idea of the reverse anniversary dance, but we asked him to do it anyway because we like the idea. They ended up doing the regular one anyway, which was very disappointing. I think this company is a great budget DJ if you talk to him and really make sure he understands what you want.

. Bill kept the energy high throughout our reception, playing songs that were on our must-play list as well as songs that matched the vibe that we were going for. Thank you for everything, Bill! We hope to see you at an event in the future! :)

ry clearly. However, when the day came I felt like the ball was dropped in some obvious areas. The music was never faded, it was a harsh "stop" or pause. This was a bummer, especially for our ceremony where the songs should definitely flow slowly. Some lack of updating his notes as well. A couple weeks before I sent him what we wanted to do for our bridal party entrance with clear instructions and he said he understood and would update his notes, but then right before the moment when we were lined up he had the wrong song. I had to give him the instructions in the moment. I even shouted at him through the window exactly how I wanted the transition between the two songs to go, but he didn't do that and played the entire second song between the bridal party and the bride and groom, leaving a very awkwardly long wait. It's not what I requested, and I shouldn't have had to worry about that on our day. Other things too, like wanting a free-mic for the speeches but he set up a mic stand instead, not dismissing tables for dinner over the mic even though we discussed it on our phone call. Did not give 5 minute warnings before important events like the B/G first dance so some important family and friends missed that moment because they didn't have a warning to get back to their seat. Some things like that I didn't think I had to ask for, but even when I did my expectations weren't fully met. That being said, they were wonderful at actually DJ'ing. Their music choices and transitioning songs were very talented and everyone enjoyed it once the music really started for dancing. If you want the DJ just to be good at dancing music/reception/song choices, it's a solid book. For us, we really wanted our DJ to help emcee the reception, fade songs, give warnings and such and felt like our expectations were unfortunately not met. I genuinely don't usually leave reviews, but weddings are an important day and every detail matters to make it perfect. This could have just been our experience and our specific DJ, not a representation of the whole company.
