JOEL. Seriously. Funnest reception. Joel was so helpful and attentive from the very start to finish. He pretty much had his finger on the pulse of the party, trying to keep people engaged and keep the flow of the event going. When guests couldn't hear his announcements from indoors to outdoors, he literally went from table-to-table. He truly went above and beyond in service and the details. He ended up bringing more lighting with him and made our dance floor look a lot cooler than we would've initially had it. Our guests had a lot of great compliments all night on Joel himself and the music in general. Solid pricing, excellent quality, very communicative and easy to work with. Would definitely recommend to anyone in need of a DJ in the area! He also recommended his cousin's photobooth company to us (CPTRD Photobooth), and they were spot on! The two of them combined made for a great party.

Joel was awesome at our wedding this October at chabot space and science center. Leading up to the event, we had some issues regarding layout. Thankfully, Joel came in and gave us input from past weddings he had done at the space and gave his suggestions (without forcing it on us). We decided to follow his suggestions and were so thankful we did because the wedding atmosphere would have been so different had we not done what he suggested. We heard from so many attendees that our dance floor was poppin' the entire night and that people had started dancing even before the dance floor was supposed to "open up". We had young children to even my older relatives all on the dance floor. He was also a fantastic MC, knowing just what to say. Thank you, Joel, for helping make our night amazing! Would highly recommend!

DJ JOEL/Strive, our wedding would not have been the same without you there. I've never been to a wedding where the dance floor was never empty and I'm glad to say that it was my own. Joel was easy to work with. If you know me, I have a very specific taste in music & really wanted the whole 90's R&B vibe to shine through, with a good amount of Motown, Trap, Top 40, and Filipino Family Party-friendly music mixed in. Sounds like a tall order & it was, but Joel made it work and made my dream wedding a reality. There was literally nothing he couldn't do! His whole team was great, as was his dj setup (ON TWO FLOORS!), and uplighting, Gobo, etc. At one point, he was also our MC and worked the 300+ crowd extremely well. It's safe to say that we'll be working with Joel in the future at whatever crazy events we end up having. One word of advice to you: Book him now! He's booked like every day of the week. Seriously.
