My name is Shelly Mead and I am a Justice of the Peace, joyfully officiating weddings in Southern New Hampshire.
Having planned, designed and officiated over 650 ceremonies, I am experienced with weddings big and small. I am firm believer that your wedding ceremony should be a reflection of you as a couple, filled with special moments that start your wedding off with joy, love and fun!

oth fill out so she really gets to know both of you. She'll then use your responses to create a very personal, thoughtful script for the ceremony. We actually went through a few iterations of the script - not because of Shelly, but because of changes we had to the ceremony flow. We had asked a friend who is in the clergy to deliver a prayer during the ceremony. Unfortunately, due to his church life duties, he was not ultimately able to attend our wedding. But he drafted his prayer and Shelly very kindly read it for us during the ceremony, even though it wasn't in our original plan.
Shelly knows all the tricks and tips to officiating a wedding that your mom will send you on Facebook. She told us ahead of time that she'll move out of the way for our first kiss. She also instructed me to hand my bouquet to my MOH (and said she'd discreetly remind us if we forgot).
She held onto our vow books for us during the ceremony and popped them into our card box before she left. We were a bit panicked at first thinking she might have taken them... but she was just one step ahead of us!
The day after the wedding, she had our license in the mail! No delay!

hift from hosting a larger wedding to a microwedding up in the White Mountains a year earlier than initially planned, Shelly was not only willing but was more than thrilled to drive over two hours to be with us and officiate our ceremony. The ceremony was so thoughtfully written, and she has an eloquence and gentleness that immediately grabs and holds onto the attention of everyone in attendance. She showed up to the venue a half an hour before we had even got there; her timeliness and care was beyond exceptional! ly had exceeded all my expectations. She was communicative, quick with her responses and very professional. Prior to our wedding we had a meet and greet with both of our dogs and hers. Day of wedding she arrived early to walk the dogs to get acclimated to the area (my smaller dog definitely had her achieve her steps!) They felt super comfortable with Shelly. She helped with posing the pups for the photos. During the ceremony the pups nerves were subsided and walked down the aisle and sat through the whole ceremony. She sat close by the pups in the event they needed to be escorted. She had all the tools needed to make sure everything went smoothly. After the ceremony during cocktail hour Shelly took the pups back to her place for the night. They were taken care of as if they were her own! If you are nervous or have an anxious dog, Shelly really is so kind and eases that extra stress. I would 1000% recommend Shelly to anyone!

When the day of the wedding came she came up to the bridal suite and she looked at the marriage certificate to make sure that it was correct and then she went to go and find my husband and say hello to him.
