We hired Nick before the pandemic and he never added to the stress of things. He’s easy to work with and his level of communication was always prompt. His photos, and overall creative vision is next level. The photos were stunning. His photoshopping skills are subtle and natural and he’s just great at enhancing the beauty of everything — people, little details, the experience. Everyone I know just raved over his work! We’re very happy we went with him for our big day.

Hiring Nick for our wedding photos was the best decision we made. My husband and I were nervous about taking wedding photos, since neither of us are usually comfortable in front of a camera. Nick made us feel at ease and perfectly captured our day! We are in love with the photos. I’m still swooning!

Nick is incredible, if you don’t choose him I can promise you will regret it! I am a photo snob, therefore selecting our engagement and wedding photographer was the most important decision of our engagement. Nick came up to Washington, DC for our Cherry Blossom engagement session, and our wedding was at the William Aiken house in Charleston. My husband and I had SO much fun with Nick and absolutely loved him. We felt super comfortable and it felt as if he was a lifelong friend. Nick has a ton of energy and his creativity was boundless. The photos turned out PERFECT which is shocking for me to say since I typically dislike half of the photos of myself. Not only have our friends and family raved over our engagement/wedding photos, but we’ve had complete strangers reach out tell us they’re the most gorgeous engagement/wedding photos they’ve ever seen and asked us to put them in touch with Nick.

Our first experience with Nick was for our engagement photos out at Botany Bay (a location Nick suggested, and we ABSOLUTELY adored). My husband and I are awkward to say the least, and Nick was able to effortlessly work with us to get stunning photos. When it came to our wedding, things went so smoothly. He found beautiful locations around our venue that turned into even more beautiful photos. And when it came to the ceremony and reception, we barely even noticed him floating around! Nick was the first vendor I hired after finding my venue and I am SO glad I moved that fast. He was wonderful to work with during our engagement shoot. My list of particulars were long, but he managed to capture my vision impeccably while wandering though downtown Charleston. He even spent an extra hour with us trekking up King Street to find a bar for my last coveted shot. On wedding day, my timing was tight between the first look, ceremony and reception. Nick and Cushla were champions — they never missed a beat and somehow kept my entire family AND me calm and on time. Group photos were a breeze (phew!) and they knew the best moments to pull my husband and me away for certain shots. There is so much they do behind the scenes that I am still amazed at to this day. We just got our wedding photos back and we absolutely love them! Nick and his wife captured every moment and detail to perfection. I cannot count the number of guests that told me “I can’t wait to see your wedding photos because you’re photographers were everywhere!”. Looking through our photos was like reliving the day. Nick and his wife are really great, chill people. They both are so talented and were able to capture so many great moments! Their photo composition is so incredible--I can't even decide which table setting photo I like (haha). Only thing I wish we'd done was book him longer and/or take multiple photos of the same group (there were only a couple of photos where the groom and friend's eyes were closed in a posed picture). Other than that, they are fantastic!

When my husband and I first got engaged, we knew we wanted a Charleston wedding and finding the perfect photographer was the top of our list. Based on others’ reviews and seeing his work, we went with Nick and I am SO glad we did. We LOVED our engagement and wedding photos. I highly recommend Nick and his team! Our wedding and engagement photos were incredible. I loved how natural they all were and the use of sunlight is amazing. Nick was very professional and easy to work with. He was efficient and helped us minimize time taking photos before the reception. We wanted to take photos quickly so we could get to the party. If I could give Nicholas Gore Photography 100 stars, I would! From the moment Nick and his wife, Cushla, met us at our home for my daughter’s bridal session, we knew we loved them. They make such a great team and together they cover every detail. Nick brings his great personality and very positive energy that makes everyone light up for the most amazing shots. The bridal shots were breathtaking with the lighting and azaleas in full bloom. Together, they make it easy and natural. The wedding day went smoothly and we are anxiously awaiting the ceremony and reception shots. He even captured the groom’s surprise “flip” of the bride in their last dance which was priceless. Everyone loved Nicholas Gore and I would most highly recommend him.

I can’t say enough great things about Nick. Our number one priority for our wedding was to get amazing pictures. I haven’t seen our full wedding album yet but if the previews and bridal portraits are anything close, they will be absolutely perfect. I am extremely picky of photos of myself and Nick nailed them. Not only is he amazing at what he does, he was so much fun to work with. He even saved the day (for me, the bride) by fixing an issue with my dress no one else knew how to fix. I highly recommend Nick and his team!

I can not say enough about him and his partner. They were both so kind. My husband and I had a VERY short notice wedding and it moved around a lot(thank you military). He worked with our hectic ever changing schedule. He showed up with the best attitude and the coolest belt. He was kind, so was his partner, friendly, and extremely professional. Nick was a dream to work with!! I was somewhat nervous that things would be a bit awkward at the wedding since we didn’t get a chance to meet in person prior (I lived out of state), but Nick and his assistant fit in just like a couple of old friends and made us comfortable instantly. He was able to keep the mood light with jokes while still keeping us on track and capturing all of the important moments. Most importantly, I felt like he captured our wedding perfectly and looking through the photos takes me right back to that day. You have to put a lot of faith in your wedding photographer and Nick more than proved himself worthy.

Nicholas Gore Photography did an awesome job on our engagement and wedding photos! I must say that my now husband hates having his picture taken and absolutely dreaded our engagement session. We met Nick in downtown Charleston and it felt more like going on a walk with a friend than it did having an actual photoshoot, only stopping when he saw the perfect shot. I think the relaxed feel of our first session took all of the hesitancy out of my husband, and he was actually looking forward to the hundreds of photos we would take on our big day. Nicholas Gore Photography is absolutely AMAZING!! I found him after a lot of researching. With our wedding being an after dark event, I was being very particular with whom we chose. I know after dark photos can be very challenging to get the right lighting and I doubt everyone can do them. Without a doubt, Nicholas and his team nailed it! We are so in love with our photos and completely blown away with how they turned out. He is so artistic and creative, and you can tell he is very passionate about photography and it definitely shows in his work. Nicholas captured every single moment and detail of our big day. Not only did we love his nighttime photography, but he did a fantastic job catching fun candid shots.

I hate to admit it, but I was the type of bride that had to explore every single option out there to make sure every decision was thorough, well-thought out, and would contribute to making our wedding day as perfect as possible. I went through hundreds of photographers and when I found Nick's website, I literally stopped in my tracks. My then fiancee was asleep and I actually woke him up to show him Nick's website. Each picture was not just a photograph, but what seemed to be a perfectly coordinated work of art. I knew that I needed him to capture our perfect day. As soon as I reached out to Nick, he was quick to provide pricing and information. He even followed up to see if we had any questions. It was still early in our planning process, but I knew he was a non-negotiable. His work spoke for itself and he seemed to be nice and accommodating. He was super flexible scheduling our engagement session and working with our planner to pick the perfect package. While planning our engagement session, Nick expertly suggested locations and times of day to correspond to the best lighting. When we finally met at our engagement session, he used his expertise and extreme familiarity with the Charleston to capture amazing pictures (and give us some awesome tips about the city!). Like anyone, we were nervous for the shoot, as neither of us really like our picture taken, but Nick made us feel so comfortable as we walked around and he casually captured symmetrical, artistic, mini love-stories in each and every picture. He chatted with us as if we were old friends. When we got our pictures back a few weeks later, he did not disappoint. Each and every picture seemed to have every detail coordinated and covered, yet they were so natural and captured who we were as a couple. Fast forward six months to the wedding and neither one of us were nervous, but more excited to see the amazing artistic views Nick was going to capture of us, our day, and our AMAZING venue (shot out to Lowndes Grove!) We knew Nick was incredible, but we were in for another great surprise when his second shooter- his wife Cushla was JUST as amazing (if not more :)) I was a typical self-conscious bride and Cushla's energy and presence immediately put me at ease. She even provided me with some expert tips to camouflage some of my least favorite features. During the day Nick and Cushla were discretely buzzing around capturing every little detail that we ever could have imagined. Somehow, they managed to capture everything without drawing any attention to themselves. When we got our pictures back there were several that I hadn't even realized were being taken and the candidness of our love shone through so vividly. Just like with our engagement pictures, Nick (and Cushla!) had managed to capture hundreds of little pieces of art, paying attention to lines and symmetry, and all these little details that came together to tell our love story. If you're looking for your day to be captured as a true work of art, Nicholas Gore Weddings is 100% the way to go. We couldn't be happier.

We all have our priorities when planning our weddings, and photography was at the top of my list. We had a destination wedding, so I spent a lot of time researching photographers. I fell in love with Nick’s candid shots, the quality of his photographs, and his eye for capturing all the right elements to turn a photograph into a piece of art. Needless to say, he ended up exceeding my expectations. On the wedding day, he was the right balance of flexible/behind the scenes and hands-on to take advantage of the lighting or a backdrop and to make sure I got all the photos I wanted. His wife was amazing with my little flower girls who kept asking to see their pictures, and they worked great with the videographer. I was surprised and thrilled by the number of photographs I got back. Family who could not attend the wedding said they felt like they were there when they looked through the photos, and as picky as I am about pictures of myself, I didn’t remove a single one from the entire album. The biggest challenge has been deciding which ones to frame. I have too many favorites!

Me and my husband got married in November 2020 and we absolutely loved how the pictures came out! We had his associate Sol and he became family by the end of the party! We would use them again in a heartbeat.

We had the pleasure of spending several days with Nick and Cushla because they came to Jamaica with us for our wedding! I can't put into words how lucky we feel that they came with us. We had such a blast getting to know them. They shot every aspect of our wedding weekend.... our "Welcome Dinner", a Catamaran boat ride, and our entire wedding day. They captured moments so vividly that looking back at our photos makes us feel like we are in that moment again. They are so incredibly talented. My fiance and I are from Seattle but decided to do our engagement photos while in Charleston. With minimal context of the area or recommendations on photographers from people we knew, Nick and his wife were professional and eager to help us find our perfect shots. Before we got married, my husband and I were thrilled to use Nick as our photographer. We love everything about sunsets and outdoor wedding pictures. Nick had so many amazing pictures on his website that we couldn’t wait! Unfortunately, the one day it rained was our wedding day at an outside venue. Our experience with Nicholas Gore Weddings was remarkable! Jeff and I got married at the Restoration Hotel in Charleston in May. Nick and Cushla captured the day truly perfectly. It was unusually hot outside for May, and I was worried we wouldn't be able to get any of the classic outdoor Charleston shots without roasting. Not the case! They had great ideas to get us out and photographed quickly but without sacrificing an ounce of quality. N and C are fun and relaxed but also professional, and have the BEST sense of humor. When we receive the photos we were amazed at how accurately they portrayed the essence of the day - love, fun, laughter, and beauty. The images are stunning. We are so grateful for everything they added to this special time in our lives.

This team blew it out... I MEAN OUT!!!! Of the park with my wedding pics. The editing, personality, responsiveness. It was insane what i got for the price. I have a very high attention to detail and they did not disappoint. When i got my pictures back EVEN the candid shots were on point and crisp. I’d spent several summers assisting local wedding photographers, and Nick’s particular blend of technical expertise, creativity, professionalism, and fun always stood out. Even with our high expectations, we were BLOWN AWAY by our wedding photos. Nick and Cushla’s portraits and candids are incredible. In our photos, they not only captured everyone at their best, but used their eye for movement to visualize the sweeping joy we felt from the wide shots, to the intimate portraits. 2. Nick’s a lighting wizard. Natural light, portable studio lights in softboxes, flash – he’s a master of them all. There are a lot of photographers who make great daytime portraits, but few capture the rest of the wedding with equal skill and beauty, especially from a lighting standpoint. Prior to Nick arriving I was one nervous bride to the least! However, as soon as he began his work all my stress and nerves melted away. Our wedding day came with severe Charleston weather, but Nick made the best of it all using the natural light and (very strong) winds to take some gorgeous pictures! We just received our photos back and have looked at them no less than 100 times and each time we notice another detail or candid shot that we love more than the last. They captured every moment of the day perfectly without being intrusive. We truly could not have predicted how beautiful and special all of our photos are, thank you Nick and Cushla!

Nick is absolutely the best!! We originally worked with him for our wedding and engagement photos and just wow! He is a true photographer and makes sure to get the most gorgeous shots on your wedding day! After the wedding we also had Nick do some family photos because we were so happy with how the wedding photos came out. Again, he did not dissapoint! Even with multiple small children and 100 degree heat he made sure we had family photos we will want to show off for ever! Thank you Nick!

A long overdue review! We are so happy we found Nick to photograph our wedding day. We had our engagement photos done and spent two hours getting to know each other. They are so down to earth- we couldn’t stop laughing. We left the shoot feeling like we gained some awesome friends! So when the big day finally arrived, so did these familiar faces with their guidance and sense of humor to make some of the more stressful moments fun and exciting. It was truly a relief to see them. Their attention to each couple is meaningful and you can see the efforts they made in the final product. The photos just represented “us”. Obviously literally, but in getting to know and understand us they knew what backgrounds to use, what to avoid and to focus on which created beautifully captured moments we cannot wait to hang all over our house. I don’t have enough kind words to say about Nick, his wife Cushla, and the second shooter he used at our wedding that would do them any justice. They photographed my bridal portraits and our wedding, all of which blew us away. They perfectly captured our most special moments as well as our personalities all while being super stealthy. I have been pouring over the photos for a year and I still can’t get enough. Everyone that sees the photos are always in awe of them! Nick truly captured all the emotions. Not only are they awesome photographers, they are awesome people and fun to be around during your wedding. Multiple guests commented on how kind and funny Nick was during our reception. There aren’t words for how perfect Nick made our wedding day. He was so fun to work with from the moment he arrived. He got my bridal party's sense of humor and really went with it. It was very important to us to have a photographer that we were going to feel comfortable and enjoyed working with & Nick couldn't of been a better choice. Nick's photos came out incredible. He really loves candid shots which captured the true emotion and feeling of each moment. I feel like I am reliving each moment when I look at them. He also gave back SO many photos, most other photographers told me such a lower number that they end up getting back to you. If you are still looking for a photographer, I really would stop here. Nick made my wedding day something I will never forget, with pictures I will always have to remember.

I was browsing through websites looking for photographers after the ones my wedding planner had suggested failed to impress. When I got to Nick’s website I was immediately sold. Wow! We are 16 hours from Charleston which obviously poses some unique challenges but Nick was great in working out the details. We met he and his wife “Cush” for the first time at our engagement photos where we raced a storm which included a last minute downpour to get some really great pics and then he did our wedding later that same week. They both made us feel so comfortable and we’re just a great couple to work with. The photos were amazing. I wish I could think of a better word since that really doesn’t do them justice. We are soo happy with the results. Nick is truly fabulous at what he does and we were truly blessed to have found him.

My husband and I were referred to Nicholas Gore by our wedding planner, and boy are we glad we were. Our wedding photos are fantastic! We were married beachside in Hilton Head at the Westin on the patio. Nicholas Gore is a lighting master and our sunset beach photos are perfect. He was able to capture every guest’s actions and expressions during the reception, so we have great photos for our memories. After seeing the photos, our families even commented on how much he was able to capture. Nicholas Gore is great and you will definitely not be disappointed with your wedding photos.

YES YES YES YES YES Nicholas Gore photography was amazing. His style is unlike anyone else. We lived 8 hrs away and unfortunately our venue changed super last minute and he was so easy to contact to make the necessary arrangements. The photography is stunning. Even random strangers who have come across our pictures have raved about them. There were also sooooo many! A single moment wasn’t left out and since we didn’t do a videographer this was really important to us. I would recommend him over and over again to anyone.

We had the joy of working with both Nick and his wife Cushla for our engagement photos and wedding photos. Nick has such an eye for creative shots and his editing skills are exceptional! My husband spent a lot of time researching photographers for our wedding-he took one look at Nick's portfolio and the decision was made. Best decision we made! I do not have the words to describe how beautiful our photos turned out. Nick has a great eye for shots and for lighting. He did a great job of capturing all of the moments of our day. Nick was such an amazing photographer for all of our wedding pictures! He did our engagement photos, my bridal portraits, and our wedding photography, all for a very reasonable price. All of the pictures he took were amazing. We get so many complements on how great the images turned out! Not only is his photography amazing, but he is so much fun to be around as well. Nick always brings an assistant to help with posing and lighting on all engagement and bridal portrait shoots. His assistant acts as a second photographer for the wedding, as well as assisting with lighting for formal portraits. It was nice being able to get to know him throughout the whole process, and being fully comfortable around him for the wedding photos. We spent most of our time with him laughing and making jokes, which made the photography process fun, and our smiles in our photos genuine. My husband is not one to have pictures taken, but he was fully comfortable during the whole process thanks to Nick. Nick's turnaround time for photos is quick, and you get access to all of your full definition photos through his website. We didn't realize just how high quality the photos were until we got everything printed off for our wedding book, we couldn't have been more pleased with everything. I highly recommend Nick and his team to anyone looking for a wedding photographer.

Nick was absolutely amazing. He and his assistant were like ninjas all night getting amazing action shots. One of the best decisions I made and I am thrilled to have such amazing photos capturing this day.

Nick is fabulous. He has huge talent with finding amazing photo opportunities and his work is quite impressive. Additionally, he was very accomodating with our large and very disorganized bridal party and has a great sense of humor!

I cannot be more pleased with my experience with Nicholas Gore Weddings and am so happy that I chose Nick as our wedding photographer! My only regret is that we couldn't use him for engagement photos as well (since we are from Houston). Communication was great - during the booking process and leading up to the wedding he was always quick to get back to me on any questions that I had. To be honest, I am not very comfortable in front of a camera and explained to Nick in his pre-wedding questionnaire that we had a less than stellar engagement session (again, wish I could have used Nick!) But, I was blown away by how comfortable I felt when Nick was shooting our (absolutely fabulous) portraits after the ceremony. I got just want I wanted - breathtaking sunset portraits in beautiful Charleston! Aside from just the portraits, which I could write a whole review on in and of themselves, all of our photos are fantastic (from fun, candid reception photos to touching ceremony photos, etc.) I feel like I'm reliving my wedding when I look through my photos, and since we didn't have a videographer, that is extremely important to me! Lastly, I am blown away by how quickly we received our photos back from Nick - it took only a couple of weeks! Thank you so much Nick!!

FANTASTIC photos and professionalism! Turned out great. Nick was professional throughout our engagement session as well as our wedding day. We could not have asked for a better photog. One slight compliant is that we kept feeling “pulled” from our wedding reception and party to continuously take pictures. While the pictures turned out fantastic, we felt we didn’t get to enjoy our wedding reception as much as we could have. If we were to do this again, we probably would have skipped “reception” photoshoot and paid for a special “wedding attire shoot” with sunsets, etc. That way we could still have great photos, but also could have enjoyed our guests more.

Nick was absolutely wonderful to work with. He makes a busy day very relaxed. I have never been one that likes to take a lot of pictures, but he made it so easy for our wedding party to take pictures with ease. He has amazing creativity, and getting married right by Marion Square was a huge plus with all of the Christmas trees and lights.

I can't put into words how amazing working with Nick is. He's so fun to work with- I think my husband and I laughed the whole time we were taking pictures! Nick did our engagement pictures, which were amazingly perfect, and somehow our wedding pictures were more breathtaking. He managed to perfectly capture our wedding day and I LOVE going back and looking at all our pictures. The photobooth is totally worth it and was such a hit with our guests! Do yourself a favor and go ahead and book Nick!

Photography was the second thing I booked, after booking my venue, so you could say it's pretty important to me! After seeing Nick's work online, it was an easy decision to make. We had a great time taking photos with Nick throughout the whole day. They captured so many touching (and some hilarious) candids, and the portraits are simply works of art. We were able to sneak out of the reception for some night photos, which turned out so beautiful. We are so thrilled with our pictures!!

Nick was absolutely AMAZING! He did our engagement pictures, my bridal portraits, and photos the day of our wedding. The photo session after the wedding was quick and easy, yet the pictures were stunning, and we were able to get back to spending time with our friends and families. Nicholas Gore is absolutely amazing! We had both the ceremony and the reception at the Gadsden House, so we decided, in addition to the wedding day, we wanted to do day- after pictures around Charleston. He and his assistant were wonderful. They really put you at ease on a day that is usually very stressful. All of the pictures we have seen so far have been absolutely stunning, varing from romantic, to intimate, to just plain magical. They almost have a life of their own. You can tell he has a true passion for what he does. The day after pictures were just as much fun if not more. My husband, who wasn't as excited originally about the day after photo shoot, said he was so happy we did it and would do it again anytime. We laughed almost the whole time, while moving from one location to the next, getting a few sneak peeks of pictures along the way. All of which we loved! I can not say how happy we are that Nicholas was able to do both our wedding day and day after pictures and highly recommend him.

If you're looking for a wedding photographer, stop looking and book Nicholas Gore. I've gotten so many compliments on how stunning my wedding photos are. His prices are fantastic and the photo booth was such a huge hit! You can fit about ten people in one photo.

Our engagement photos were beautiful! Nicholas Gore was very easy to work with. We have a very tight budget and he was willing to work with us to find something we both could agree to. We received our photos a few days earlier than expected. The colors are vibrant and he really knows his composition and how to utilize the scenery. Most importantly he captured the whimsical and romantic feel that I loved about his portfolio. I could not be happier with our pictures!
