I worked with Catherine and Nichole to plan and photograph a proposal on the Dillon Reservoir in December, and they were absolutely phenomenal at every stage. The proposal involved Catherine picking up a suitcase full of sentimental objects and arranging them in a circle in the snow, including a trail to lead my fiancée there from the parking lot, and everything came out perfectly, just as I imagined. She even said yes. Not to mention, the photographs are stunning beyond belief, and we feel endlessly lucky that our day went so well. I also had a feeling that my fiancée would propose right back, and kept Catherine and Nichole apprised. They were able to capture both of our proposals beautifully. Also very good pricing. Nichole was perfect for our wedding and engagement photos. We wanted someone who would really capture the natural light and not overload things with filters and what not and Nichole did a great job of that. She was very polite, punctual and respectful. Nichole was fantastic! She truly went above and beyond to help me (located in Buffalo) make my dream proposal a reality. She scouted out the location I targeted in Rocky Mountain National Park, hiked out to a frozen lake before sunrise to ensure she was waiting for us, helped me strategize exactly how to pull everything off, and even surprised us with a bit of bubbly once we were done with pictures. In short, our proposal story simply wouldn’t be the same with Nichole’s help and she did a spectacular job of capturing the alpenglow behind us. I cannot recommend her strongly enough!

My husband and I came from HI to CO for our January 2022 elopement. Nichole was able to work with us and help with all our needs from a distance. She even drove me to the wedding location so we were able to get there separately, it turned out to be a fairly short ride but filled with enjoyable conversation. Everything went smoothly, and our pictures are INCREDIBLE. She really knows how to capture beautiful moments. Her photo editing skills are also impeccable, my favorite part about our wedding photos is that the attention goes to us as well as the beautiful scenery that we chose to be in. We have so many pictures to relive the best moments of our lives endlessly. I'll admit that at first I was a bit nervous for everything, especially after having to cancel/replan our original "bigger" wedding but we had so much fun and got to celebrate us and our love in the most authentic way plossible. Nichole really went above and beyond all expectations for our elopement! We couldn't have made a better choice. We totally plan on booking Nichole for any future photoshoots in Colorado.

She was very fun and easy to get along with. She braved the harsh wind with us and gave us pictures that were great! She got there early and even let us drive to a secondary location that was her idea and it turned out marvelously!

Nichole was a pleasure to work with! We were quite nervous. This was our first posing, modeling, and taking a proper picture. Nichole made sure we had clear instructions on how to stand and where to place our hands. Even though we hiked in our suit and dress through the dust and smoke of Rocky Mountain National Park, our photos came out better than we could have imagined. Her direction, ideas and suggested locations were amazing! We're happy to have found her and would gladly work with her again if we get the chance to visit Denver in the future!

From the beginning Nichole was absolutely wonderful. She was helpful answering any questions we had and helped us layout a timeline of what the day could look like. Our original wedding day was suppose to be in February and I was blown away when she researched what time the sun would set that day to recommend the optimal ceremony time. When we had to reschedule our wedding to August it was stress free and easy. Once the day came she was patient when us ladies were running late and kept the timeline flowing by starting with the guys (who were of course on time.) She was also amazing at getting people up to the front for family portraits and moving through those quickly. I would recommend Nichole in a heart beat to anyone for wedding/engagement photos. We did both with her and received so many beautiful photos in each of our galleries. We are so grateful that we will have these images for many years to come!

Fabulous photography! We purchased the elopement package from Nichole which includes an engagement photoshoot beforehand, ceremony photos, and family/couple portraits after (I felt like a great value!!!). Before our ceremony, Nichole went to our wedding location area (the chapel at Camp St. Malo in Allenspark, CO) to scout out a beautiful place in the national park area to take couples portraits of us after the ceremony! Nichole is the perfect photographer for beautiful outdoor portraits - she always comes prepared for changes in weather, and she's not afraid to hike/climb along trails to get the perfect shot! :) She was even flexible with rescheduling when the weather looked like it was going to turn sour for our engagement shoot. Nichole is so helpful and makes suggestions along the way to ensure your photos are gorgeous. She went above and beyond helping me with the train of my dress throughout the photoshoot, and letting me know where my groom was before the ceremony so he wouldn't see me before I walked down the aisle. :) I couldn't be happier with Nichole!!!

Nichole was fabulous and beyond helpful on our special day! Our wedding, although small, was running late, and Nichole made the best use of the time still by getting shots around the property and some of the groups of portraits we wanted. Nichole was incredibly positive and helped a lot by paying attention to the little details, like moving my hand ever so slightly down, or adjusting in XYZ way to make sure we got the best shots. And believe me, she got the greatest shots! We could not have been happier with Nichole and the photographs she took for us :) I would recommend her 1000x over!

Nichole is absolutely amazing!! My husband and I aren't super comfortable getting our photos taken but she made the experience fun, easy, and did a great job including our dog. For our engagement photos the site we had originally planned on ended up being closed when we got there but Nichole was ready to explore the area until we found the perfect spot. All of our pictures turned out better than we ever could have imagined and the price was reasonable as well. 10/10 would recommend!!

My husband hates photography and Nichole made this experience warm and comfortable. She was able to capture the most intrigued wedding and enhance all the little details that meant a lot to us. Nichole did an amazing job! She went above and beyond what I could have ever expected. When most roads were closed due to fires, she drove all the way to Aspen from Denver. She then set up my proposal picnic on top of a mountain, and finally waiting several hours for us to get to the proposal location. Then she spent a lot of time with us and our dog taking so many pictures. We loved our proposal pictures so much that we decided we did not need to get separate engagement pictures. HIGHLY recommend Nichole as she works very hard to make sure the moment and pictures are perfect!

I was so glad to find Nichole after looking through what seemed like a million photographers. I loved how airy and light and bright the photos came out. It was exactly the kind of feel I wanted for the wedding. We had to change the timeline several times due to covid and Nichole was so easy to work with and updated and changed hours. She was so flexible and made me feel at ease when I really had no idea what I was doing with regard to photography. She took a lot of details from us to ensure we got all of the photos we wanted of all our family and friends. They were running around to make sure they got the perfect shot (even when I was unsure of it) and I'm so grateful for it - the pictures turned out amazing - I cannot stop looking at them. She took so many detail shots, it made it so fun to see all the hard work I put into planning in the photos. Nichole did an AMAZING job as our wedding photographer! From our engagement photo shoot (she helped suggest a site and time for excellent photographs) to our wedding day, she was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. In our search for wedding photographers, we interviewed 6 different candidates over the phone, hoping to find the perfect one for us. From our first conversation with Nichole, we knew she was the photographer for us! She was professional, organized, and a great value. Once we hired Nichole, we were really able to trust her. She communicated with us the perfect amount: enough to know that she was on it, but also never pressuring us. We never worried about her being late or not being prepared--honestly, she was our favorite wedding vendor! We chose to do the included engagement shoot as part of our package, because we wanted to get comfortable in front of the camera. Nichole clearly has a passion for photography. During that session, we had so much fun! Nichole really put us at ease. She remembered a lot about us, and she got us laughing for some really amazing photos. She was also not afraid to get down and dirty into the bushes for our shoot, if that is what you seek! During our wedding, she was amazing. We chose the 8-hour, two photographer package. She and her counterpart were awesome: unobtrusive but always part of the action. They covered all of the shots we requested, and more! They had some fun creating some artsy photos as well. Several of our guests commented about how professional, helpful, and sweet they are. She was really organized about posed photos we requested, and even accommodated last-second additions from us. Nichole got us a wedding preview of 75 shots within three days of the wedding, and all the others arrived on our agreed upon schedule a few weeks later. The photos really help us relive our night, which is ultimately what we wanted. We are thrilled with the results and recommend Nichole Emerson to anyone seeking a fantastic photographer.

Nichole was great! She took the time prior to the event to get details on what was important to me. She got great candid pics of our guests at the event and also took lovely pictures of the setting and our ceremony. We had so much to choose from for printing. My now-husband and I are terribly un-photogenic and she managed to get great pics out of us as well! Highly recommend!

My husband and I were visiting Denver for our 16th wedding anniversary. I wanted to document the ocassion with pictures in the Rocky Mountains. My husband attended school in Colorado and had not been back since so I wanted to do something special for him. I contacted and spoke with a few area photographers, but after talking to Nichole over the phone I knew she understood what I was trying to accomplish. Since I didn't know the area, she sent me some recommendations of locations, along with photos of each location, to choose from. The location was breathtaking! Working with Nichole was like having a friend take your photos. We were both so at ease with her. My husband dislikes photo sessions very much and when we were done he said "that was actually fun." She had us laughing, crying and reminiscing. We are absolutely in love with our photos and they will be cherished for a lifetime!

Planning a destination wedding is incredibly stressful (Wisconsin to Colorado). Not being able to meet your vendors in person before the day of the wedding makes it hard to confirm that everything will go as planned. This was never an issue with Nichole Emerson Photography. From the moment I emailed Nichole asking if she was available on our wedding day, I felt like a priority. My fiancé and I had planned on a small, intimate ceremony (only needing Nichole from 2-5 pm), but Nichole never made it seem like our wedding was any less important than a full day event. Nichole made sure that everything was exactly how we wanted, from finding a nearby location for our "first look" to making a timeline for when everything would happen, Nichole did it all. Sometimes things don't go as planned, which is exactly what happened when the zipper of my dress broke, causing me to be over an hour late to our photo session. Nichole was incredibly understanding and quickly adjusted to work around our new schedule. After the ceremony, while we were doing family portraits, Nichole remembered all of the names of our family members and quickly put names to faces. It seems like a small detail, but it was something that helped the flow of pictures, as well as made everyone more comfortable. Nichole did a great job with our photoshoot at Maroon Bells. She was in position and ready to go when I popped the question. She is a friendly person and was very accessible when it came to setting up the shoot. Her photography is unreal and she got my photos back to me in a timely fashion. Nichole came to our wedding in Estes Park in March. We couldn’t have asked for better photos! Initially when we were planning our wedding we were on the fence about having a photographer at all just for budget reasons, but after speaking with her and seeing her portfolio we were convinced she is what we need to make sure we had permanent memories for the rest of our lives. Nichole shot our wedding in early June. First of all, the pictures are stunning! My husband and I couldn't be happier with them. We love the colors and the composition. We love both the candid shots and the posed shots (family groups and couple shots) equally. There are also a lot of them (so many to choose from)! Nichole did an absolutely wonderful job capturing our day and the feel of our day. She asked us a series of questions prior to the day -- designed to help her capture everything we wanted -- and she expertly did. She also paid a lot of attention to the little details of our wedding -- the venue inside and out, the decor, the band, the food, a picture of our bartender, etc.. These are things I did not even ask her to include and I am so glad that she did! Nichole was wonderful and good-natured. She was a dream to work with and very organized. We will use Nichole again -- for anniversary photos or professional photos or something -- she's our new go-to photographer.
