Nichole did our wedding and engagement photos, and they turned out so great! She was so nice, professional, and easy to work with! She listens to what you are looking for in your photos and she is very helpful with options for locations, poses, and other ideas to make a great picture. She is very responsive and had a super quick turnaround with our sneak peek and final photos! I highly recommend her for wedding and engagement photos!

I had not been to the area but had an idea of what I wanted. Nichole listened to what I had in mind, what my now wife’s interests were, and was spot on with locations. Nichole provided video and photo examples of locations, and even went out to show more locations.
Communication was a breeze, she was clear, and helped go through exactly what to expect.
The day of the proposal, Nichole completely surprised my wife and knew exactly what to do for the perfect photos, down to the little details like bringing hand warmers.
Our photos turned out way better than we ever expected. We absolutely love them.

I started out as a professional photographer in 2006 doing portraits and have been photographing weddings since 2015. I'm a pretty easy going person who treats clients like friends. I love it when my clients have a positive and delightful experience. Helping others is something that I find joy in and often go out of my way to make people feel comfortable.
I see nature as a beautiful and amazing place that makes me feel humbled. My goal is to capture artistic and meaningful images outdoors. And when I can, help to nurture the earth and support those places where where we shoot.

Catherine picking up a suitcase full of sentimental objects and arranging them in a circle in the snow, including a trail to lead my fiancée there from the parking lot, and everything came out perfectly, just as I imagined. She even said yes. Not to mention, the photographs are stunning beyond belief, and we feel endlessly lucky that our day went so well. I also had a feeling that my fiancée would propose right back, and kept Catherine and Nichole apprised. They were able to capture both of our proposals beautifully. Also very good pricing. We cannot recommend Nichole Emerson Photography any more highly, and we are definitely reaching out once we set a wedding date!

She really knows how to capture beautiful moments. Her photo editing skills are also impeccable, my favorite part about our wedding photos is that the attention goes to us as well as the beautiful scenery that we chose to be in. We have so many pictures to relive the best moments of our lives endlessly. I'll admit that at first I was a bit nervous for everything, especially after having to cancel/replan our original "bigger" wedding but we had so much fun and got to celebrate us and our love in the most authentic way plossible. Nichole really went above and beyond all expectations for our elopement! We couldn't have made a better choice.

dding day was suppose to be in February and I was blown away when she researched what time the sun would set that day to recommend the optimal ceremony time. When we had to reschedule our wedding to August it was stress free and easy. Once the day came she was patient when us ladies were running late and kept the timeline flowing by starting with the guys (who were of course on time.) She was also amazing at getting people up to the front for family portraits and moving through those quickly. I would recommend Nichole in a heart beat to anyone for wedding/engagement photos. We did both with her and received so many beautiful photos in each of our galleries. We are so grateful that we will have these images for many years to come!

Before our ceremony, Nichole went to our wedding location area (the chapel at Camp St. Malo in Allenspark, CO) to scout out a beautiful place in the national park area to take couples portraits of us after the ceremony! Nichole is the perfect photographer for beautiful outdoor portraits - she always comes prepared for changes in weather, and she's not afraid to hike/climb along trails to get the perfect shot! :) She was even flexible with rescheduling when the weather looked like it was going to turn sour for our engagement shoot.
Nichole is so helpful and makes suggestions along the way to ensure your photos are gorgeous. She went above and beyond helping me with the train of my dress throughout the photoshoot, and letting me know where my groom was before the ceremony so he wouldn't see me before I walked down the aisle. :) I couldn't be happier with Nichole!!!

chole truly went above and beyond with the planning process. She took her time with detailed location recommendations for us and was incredibly patient throughout the whole process. She even assisted with our flowers too! Our shoot was so much fun and we were laughing the whole time! Our pictures came out amazing and we receive so many complements on them from friends and family. Just looking at them puts a huge smile on our face. en set up my proposal picnic on top of a mountain, and finally waiting several hours for us to get to the proposal location. Then she spent a lot of time with us and our dog taking so many pictures. We loved our proposal pictures so much that we decided we did not need to get separate engagement pictures. HIGHLY recommend Nichole as she works very hard to make sure the moment and pictures are perfect!

feel I wanted for the wedding. We had to change the timeline several times due to covid and Nichole was so easy to work with and updated and changed hours. She was so flexible and made me feel at ease when I really had no idea what I was doing with regard to photography. She took a lot of details from us to ensure we got all of the photos we wanted of all our family and friends. They were running around to make sure they got the perfect shot (even when I was unsure of it) and I'm so grateful for it - the pictures turned out amazing - I cannot stop looking at them. She took so many detail shots, it made it so fun to see all the hard work I put into planning in the photos. I will forever be grateful for Nichole and her hard work - she even left us a little gift for our wedding, such a personal and sweet touch. I will always reach out to her for my photo needs!

In our search for wedding photographers, we interviewed 6 different candidates over the phone, ...
hoping to find the perfect one for us. From our first conversation with Nichole, we knew she was the photographer for us! She was professional, organized, and a great value. Once we hired Nichole, we were really able to trust her. She communicated with us the perfect amount: enough to know that she was on it, but also never pressuring us. We never worried about her being late or not being prepared--honestly, she was our favorite wedding vendor! We chose to do the included engagement shoot as part of our package, because we wanted to get comfortable in front of the camera. Nichole clearly has a passion for photography. During that session, we had so much fun! Nichole really put us at ease. She remembered a lot about us, and she got us laughing for some really amazing photos. She was also not afraid to get down and dirty into the bushes for our shoot, if that is what you seek! During our wedding, she was amazing. We chose the 8-hour, two photographer package. She and her counterpart were awesome: unobtrusive but always part of the action. They covered all of the shots we requested, and more! They had some fun creating some artsy photos as well. Several of our guests commented about how professional, helpful, and sweet they are. She was really organized about posed photos we requested, and even accommodated last-second additions from us. Nichole got us a wedding preview of 75 shots within three days of the wedding, and all the others arrived on our agreed upon schedule a few weeks later. The photos really help us relive our night, which is ultimately what we wanted. We are thrilled with the results and recommend Nichole Emerson to anyone seeking a fantastic photographer.

do and had not been back since so I wanted to do something special for him. I contacted and spoke with a few area photographers, but after talking to Nichole over the phone I knew she understood what I was trying to accomplish. Since I didn't know the area, she sent me some recommendations of locations, along with photos of each location, to choose from. The location was breathtaking! Working with Nichole was like having a friend take your photos. We were both so at ease with her. My husband dislikes photo sessions very much and when we were done he said "that was actually fun." She had us laughing, crying and reminiscing. We are absolutely in love with our photos and they will be cherished for a lifetime!
