I found Yazmine through the Knot before checking out her super-professional website. We saw that she does a lot of social justice work and felt like she really practices what she p...
reaches, so we watched some of her sermons online and messaged her. She responded super quickly and was really on top of everything. She prepared a script for us of the ceremony to look over before our rehearsal so we could let her know if there was anything we wanted to change. She was respectful of our pronouns and asked us what language we felt most comfortable with. My partner is Lutheran but I'm not religious and she was careful to ask if we were comfortable with scripture being included in the ceremony -- a great touch! She took some extra time to get to know us during the rehearsal and incorporated those details into the final ceremony. She has a clear and powerful speaking voice and even pacing. It was clear that she had practiced between the rehearsal and the ceremony and on the big day, everything was perfect! She arrived early and was totally prepared. I would 100000% recommend her to any couple who is looking for an officiant who is warm and personal.
