Nick is amazing, his work is WELL worth the price! He makes you feel so comfortable without feeling like you're being photographed every second, even though you kind of are ;) The photos look so natural and gorgeous. We can't wait to have them hang on our walls forever!

Nick was not only the best photographer we could have hired, but also one of the best overall vendors we could have hired! He made the entire process, from engagement photos to the wedding day, an enjoyable and special process. He worked with us and recommended ideas to ensure we captured the moments and people most special to us. He also put us at ease and was a calm, grounded presence on our wedding day while also coordinating photos for our large group very efficiently. The photos themselves are absolutely stunning and we continue to receive endless compliments about how well they turned out from every single moment of the day. We cannot recommend Nick enough to other couples!

Nick is amazing! He’s so professional and just has a calming presence to him. When he arrived the morning of I was very frantic and stressed and he immediately just made me feel calm and excited for the day. He was great giving directions to us on how to pose and feel relaxed. When it came to the formal pictures at the church he was quick to call out names and get those done so we could get on the trolley to go to the next location. He even helped figure out how to get the music on the trolley to work for us haha! Your photographer will be in your face all day and you really want someone you like as a person to be there with you. Still waiting on our pictures, but I know they will be amazing!

Wow wow!! Nick Allen exceeded every expectation we had for our wedding and engagement photos. There are so many great wedding photographers in the KC area so I really took my time picking. What impressed me with Nick was his ability to catch such personable and special moments in his photos. He truly has a gifted eye and is a seasoned pro. Nick helped me with my timeline and made the planning process so easy. He was efficient and professional and so so humble and kind. Out of all my wedding vendors, Nick got the most compliments from all my guests. They commented how we breezed through family photos, got great photos of so many important people to me, and took time to take us out for a sunset session during the reception. For our engagement photos, he brought us to beautiful KC rooftops and was so helpful as we had never done a couples photo shoot together! When Nick arrived for the wedding day, he jumped right in and provided a calm presence as I was getting ready. He helped with so many last minute details and I am forever grateful and impressed by him! I knew I wanted the best photos to document and remember this day, and Nick gave us that and so much more.

WORTH. EVERY. PENNY. Nick Allen's photos kept my new husband and I up for 3 hours last night crying, laughing, and simply blown away by every shot that was taken on our wedding day. You might think "How much could one man do in order to capture every moment of the day?" Let me tell you. Nick does it. I am SO impressed that he didn't just take the pictures, but through the pictures he told our story. He captured every meaningful moment and narrated it in the exact way that my husband and I live our lives. I'm tearing up just typing this out at work right now. I can't relive the day, but through his pictures I feel like I am. I'm so blessed to have had Nick as our photographer and our friend. We cannot say enough amazing things about Nick. During a year that was very difficult to plan a wedding, Nick made everything a breeze. He was one of the first vendors we booked during the process and from our first meeting with him I knew that I could let him run with his creative spirit and he would be able to capture our day perfectly. We ended up having to postpone TWICE and each time Nick was extremely understanding. He is so kind and genuine and that truly shines through in his work. It was important to me to be able to look back on our photos and be able to see the story of that day and all of the emotions surrounding it, including the little ones that other people may have never noticed. I think that's something that stands out in his work over other photographers. I will forever recommend Nick and we'll certainly be using him for any future photos we want!

There are truly not enough words to express how wonderful Nick was for our wedding. A few years back Nick shot my cousins wedding in Colorado and the photos were just stunning. I remember telling my single and young self one day when I got married I wanted him to shoot my wedding day. Fast forward to getting engaged and I am meeting with photographers left and right yet I couldn't find one that captured the the wedding day rather than the generic wedding photos. My mom reminded me of Nick and after our phone conversation I knew that he was going to capture our day so well and not to mention I had seen his work previously and loved it. He had a wedding the night before ours but that didn't stop him or hold him back, he was up at the crack of dawn making sure he was in a completely different state ready to be part of our day. Through out the day he was there capturing moments that my husband and I missed through out the day and I am so thankful for that. He had a calm presence that was also so needed and made my husband who is very much camera shy feel like he was able to catch his breath when Nick was with us. We got all our photos back and were left in tears and speechless by the beauty he caught in his lens. Last thing, unlike other photographers he does not put a max on the photos he will take and send which is something I so admire and am grateful for. I have no regrets when it comes to choosing Nick Allen as our photographer and will forever cherish these photos thanks to him! I am excited to use him as our photographer for all life's big moments moving forward.

I don't even know where to start! We absolutely loved Nick (yes, the actual man behind the camera!) AND his breathtaking photos. I truly believe his warm heart plays one of the biggest roles into his talent and artistry. When searching for a photographer shortly after getting engaged, my (now) husband was like "meh, sure, those look good" and I could just tell he was underwhelmed with what I've found. THEN I came across Nick. My husband immediately said "YES! This is the one! This is the 'wow' factor that's been missing!". Your search for your wedding photographer ends here! We had the pleasure of working with Nick for longer than expected after our wedding was postponed due to the pandemic. We enjoyed the personal experience Nick gave us; he made us feel so special! From our engagement photos to our wedding day, Nick exceeded our expectations capturing the moments we'll cherish forever with his unique style.

Nick is amazing, we cannot thank him enough for capturing so many special moments!! We booked the engagement photos and wedding package. First of all - he was willing to trek through the snow with us on New Year's Day to make our snowy engagement pic dreams come true! Kyle and I aren't necessarily 'naturals' in front of the camera and we were a little frozen, but somehow Nick really captured our happiness and our love despite not being able to feel our cheeks! We were already so impressed with his work. Then, he captured our whole wedding day and made us feel really comfortable! We didn't have to worry about the camera in our face, we were just enjoying the day and he really captured the emotion through his work! Our only complaint is having too many amazing photos that we can't pick our favorites!! We can't get over how awesome the pictures are and would highly recommend Nick!

I honestly wish I could give Nick a rating of 10 stars instead of five! I did quite a bit of research the second Mitch and I got engaged, and I knew pretty early on that I wanted Nick Allen as our wedding day photographer. Nick was the first vendor I booked, nearly a year out from our wedding date, and I was pleasantly surprised he wasn’t completely out of our budget. All of our vendors were amazing, but Nick was hands down the best decision we made when planning our wedding day. Nick’s documentary/as it happens style is right up our alley, especially since Mitch and I are really terrible at the whole posing/taking photos thing… I had a number of bridesmaids and other family that said they absolutely loved working with Nick the day of — he really made it so easy for everyone involved — from siblings to grandparents. We’re so grateful, and thankful, that Nick was able to guide us on a day that was full of nerves and craziness. I know that when we look back on our photos I’ll be able to relive every single emotion from those moments and that they'll tell a wonderful story, and that’s all thanks to Nick. We can’t wait to see our photos, and we can’t wait to hopefully work with Nick again in the future for more big life moments!

I don’t have the right words to describe how amazing of a job Nick did. I recall thinking while looking through our wedding photos for the first time, “this is more than I could have ever asked for”. Every photo was perfect, different and each beautiful enough to be a frame-able photo alone. Nick did our wedding himself and was able to get more perspectives, leading to unforgettable shots, than most wedding photos I’ve ever seen. Bride, groom, family and seemingly every guest represented. If you want your photos to tell the story of your special day, I highly recommend letting Nick “write it”.

I am so happy that we chose Nick to be our photographer, we couldn't have asked for better! It rained during our outdoor ceremony but that didn't stop him from capturing the best photos. I think the rain made them even better. He had to improvise and change a few plans based on the weather but it wasn't a big deal because his calm persona made us feel so relaxed and comfortable on the day! I liked his approach of taking photos, giving us plenty of direction but not making them look stiff. I honestly hardly even saw him that night but he caught every magical moment!!!

Nick Allen was by far our best vendor decision! We chose a package that included engagement photos. When we got those back we knew our wedding photos were going to be amazing. Nick is so great at guiding in a tactful way, keep everyone at ease and comfortable. He captured moments that I will forever be thankful for! Nick Allen is the best! He has been shooting our family for 8 years. He shot our engagement and then destination wedding in Fort Lauderdale, FL. He captured our day exactly as I would have wanted. He then shot our reception 2 weeks later in Kansas City. He made us feel so comfortable from the beginning and truly captured meaningful photos for us. We love him so much and believe in his art we’ve since used him for our baby announcements and annual family pictures. He did an “everyday” shoot with us in our home and those images are still some of my favorite. We totally trust him to position, pose and light our shots because he balances scenery and subject perfectly. His photos are the only things on the walls of our home because they are timeless pieces that are artistic, beautiful and crisp. He is a kind, patient man that we hope to work with forever! 8 years after our wedding I still say he’s the best vendor choice we made - and we got married on the beach!!!

Nick Allen is great! He made my husband and I feel so comfortable when we were super awkward during engagement photos. On our wedding day it was 100+ degrees but he didn't let it slow us down. He stayed positive and worked hard. He even drove me and cranked the AC to our first look location. He perfectly orchestrated the first look, they are my favorite photos of the day. He is an artist when it comes to photography. His photos are gorgeous and meaningful. You can trust him and give him creative freedom. He will get shots you didn't know were possible. He is busy and has many weddings - at least he did when I got married. I had to wait quite a while for photos but it was worth the wait!

Nick Allen was a dream to work with! I knew immediately I wanted him as our wedding photographer when I got engaged. He shot my best friends wedding five years ago & I’ve followed his work since. His photos are all dreamy. He is so easy to work with & gives great direction. My husband and I felt at ease in front of the camera. Nick is a joy to work with! I was the wedding planner for a destination wedding that he shot in California and he's just wonderful. He was very responsive to emails prior to the wedding, his pricing is fantastic, and the day of he made up the timeline that we lost to hair and makeup being behind without missing any of the photos that he needed. His photos are gorgeous and I can't wait to see the full set of them!!

We love Nick! We especially appreciated his experience with family pictures. He had us make lists of what pictures we needed with or family members beforehand and he did such a good job making it a very painless process. Everyone involved in the wedding was incredibly pleased with Nick! He did my sister's wedding back in 2015, and when I got engaged two years later it was a no-brainer to use Nick. He is so much fun to work with and loves shooting weddings. Nick's experience gives him incredible vision regardless of the wedding setting. The cost of his engagement/wedding pictures is incredibly reasonable, especially considering the amount of pictures you receive when it's all said and done. We decided not to use a videographer due to the journalistic style of Nick's shooting which was a great decision. He captures every moment wonderfully!

Nick was easily THE best decision we made in regards to our wedding. He made time while he was in NYC to shoot our engagement pictures and then was willing to travel to Colorado to capture our rehearsal AND wedding. My husband didn't enjoy getting photographed at all - until we met Nick. He put us both at ease, made it so natural, and then blew us away with the finished product. He captured our events so well: from communion at the rehearsal, games at the rehearsal dinner, and dancing at the reception he really captured all of the little moments. Nick was phenomenal. One of the first pieces of wedding advice I received was to be sure you and your photographer get along interpersonally because they will be with you ALL day on your wedding day. Nick is incredibly easy to get along with and his photos are gorgeous too! I can't tell you how many compliments we have received on our wedding/engagement photos. Nick was also super efficient and flexible on our wedding day, which took tons of stress off of us. Thank you Nick!!

Nick was incredible to work with. We only met once before the wedding but he gave us detailed homework which helped us just hand the day-of-itinerary over so he could direct us and we could relax. He helped us enjoy the day and was fun to have around - while snapping thousands of pictures! I loved his style and ease. Definitely recommend!

My husband and I had a destination wedding in Mexico. I knew that I didnt want to have to think about anything that trip! Photography was one of the most important things to us if not THE MOST important thing. Not only did we not think about anything when we were there the photos were beyond amazing. They listen to all of your wants and they make it happen. The whole trip our family and friends kept asking, who is this photographer? They don't miss a beat, they are capturing everything! Nick and Megan you exceeded or expectations by far and we have so many photos to remember the best trip of our lives and obviously the best day! I would recommend them to anyone, any day!

Nick is an incredible photographer. I knew at our first meeting that he was the one to capture our story from our engagement session to our wedding day. He was gracious, organized, and accommodating. He even traveled to Chicago for our engagement photos. On our wedding day he made sure to capture every moment I asked for and he kept our rowdy wedding party on track, which is no easy task. Of all decisions to be made in planning our wedding, our photographer was the most important one to me. I talked with dozens of photographers in KC until I found Nick -- and hired him on the spot. Nick is incredibly talented. He sees moments and captures them honestly and beautifully. I'm probably biased, but after all the research I did in selecting a photographer, I think they are quite truly the most beautiful wedding photos in KC. But it's not just his photography skills -- Nick is an awesome person. He was the perfect person to have along with us on our big day. Keep in mind when hiring your photographer, this person is going to be along with you for pretty much every moment of your wedding day so be sure you click with them and they have a presence you enjoy. Nick has a knack for this. We told him one place for sure we wanted to take a photos and a couple of the "special moments" through the day to plan for. Other than that, Nick just knew what to capture. He has all these beautiful spots picked out around the city and when we loaded up on the trolley, he took charge in directing where to go to take the photos. I should also mention, Nick offers the best (and most fairly priced) wedding photo package of anyone I found. Two photogs, pretty much all day (he even showed up earlier than planned and stayed later than planned for us), and a disc and online download of every single photo. He was awesome and we loved having him along with us for such special day. There's no one better.

Nick did a great job of capturing the day! He started with us early in the day, running the Hospital Hill 10K, then continued to help us document the day from getting ready, through the departure at the reception.
