2 days before(due to Covid), she was so accommodating and even offered to come up and do a shoot for us if we were not able to reschedule. She took all my bright, love, and sarcastic/punny ways of my wedding into photos. A quality of hers that I did not know when I hired her is how wonderfully she would work with our videographer that she didn't know. She and he worked so intertwined that you wouldn't have known that she didn't know him. Our photos are so bright, and airy but still so romantic and perfect. One of the best things also about Nicki is her love for doggies. For both our engagement and wedding photos she helped my dream come true and involved my puppies. We got all the pictures we wanted and then some!! (over 1500 photos total) We received our sneak peak photos within a week of the wedding and our final gallery 6-7 weeks after the wedding. We love Nicki's bright and timeless editing style and we will cherish our photos forever. Edited to add: It has been almost a year since our wedding and Nicki has STILL been so responsive and helpful. I reached out to her with questions about my gallery, and she responded within the hour, on a Saturday! With how busy she is, she was getting ready to shoot another wedding but still took the time to get back to me so I wouldn’t worry. Nicki will treat you like a bride long past anyone else and knows how important the photos are to me. I can’t say enough great things!!

She's not over the top trying to get the shots, she truly wants you to have a good time, be relaxed and in love, and get the authentic shots. My husband and I had never had professional photos done and were nervous about how to pose, etc. She made all our fears go away and we just had a great time and came out with the best photos. And on the day of you really need her calm reassuring presence. - Her professionalism. Nicki works so hard, literally responds to every correspondence within minutes. One time (when her youngest baby was like 2 week old and she was supposed to be on maternity leave) I emailed her and she immediately texted me and let me know she saw my email but wouldn't be able to respond immediately, but would get back to me that night. Like what? Above and beyond. She also has the quickest turn around for edits and albums than industry standard by far. She was the only vendor I felt like truly cared about me and my husband and our wedding and experience. - Wedding day coordination: Nicki created the whole timeline, gave advice on how long hair and makeup would go, picked out the best areas for shots, kept us on time and moving the whole day so I didn't have to think about a thing. It was amazing. She made our day stress free. - Her editing style. The last thing I wanted was overly edited moody photos. Nicki's photos are so bright and fun and truly look like the day. They are timeless and beautiful and you can relive every detail of the day through them. - And finally, her talent. Obviously all of the above intangibles are amazing, but the best is Nicki's talent for taking photographs and capturing moments. Nicki truly knows what she is doing (with so many people with a camera and hobby these days it's hard to weed through to the true professionals) She is a true artist and knows her stuff. Everyone has commented how great our photos are, but most importantly my husband and I are in love with them and will cherish them forever.

The pandemic did impact our engagement photos and wedding plans, but Nicki was awesome, she was one of the few people that made things easier for us, she was so kind and adaptable, she made me cry because she was just the best during such a hard time. Then during our bride and groom photos, we dealt with 25mph wind and my veil being torn out of my head, but Nicki was a pro and knew what to do, especially with this frozen bride that chose a winter wedding. Nicki was just great through all the ups and downs during a wedding season and then she was beyond what we expected when the pandemic hit. She cares for her clients and is so well experienced she knows how to deal with anything and everything! The photos were stunning, and it was so difficult to choose our favorites. All of the above is also true for our wedding: she scoped out our location early to ensure the best photo spots, brought along an assistant who also shot some bonus footage for us, was incredibly organized, and was just the absolute best all around. Just to give one example; since we didn’t do a ‘First Look’ as bride and groom we were a little more crunched for time and Nicki was so generous and offered to have her second shooter, Miranda, shoot alongside her to keep us on schedule. Well, bonus for us, Miranda ended up shooting the ENTIRE day and we ended up with almost 800 photos. We cannot thank them enough for all they did to ensure that our expectations were not only met, but exceeded! One of the most special aspects and the one we will treasure the most is that Nicki didn’t just capture the moments from our wedding day. She also captured the feelings within those moments. Every photo is edited to maintain the natural, bright, and real emotions surrounding our marriage. We were a bit nervous going into the engagement photo shoot, as we weren't sure what to expect, but Nicki was a joy to work with. Her easy-going personality made every step of the process simple and stress-free. She picked the location, kindly directed us for some great shots, and kept us genuinely laughing the whole time. Nicki even allotted us enough time to suggest our own shots and gladly accepted suggestions from Pinterest. After our engagement shoot, we received photos in a very short time frame, a couple weeks, which was very exciting for us. A few months before our wedding, Nicki announced her pregnancy (congratulations to her on a healthy baby) and kindly worked with us. She assured us that her plans would not change and she would be our photographer at our wedding. The day of our wedding, she showed up and we received a bonus photographer out of the deal! Even a month before giving birth, she was very active and keeping up with the rough terrain at our venue. Nicki was able to keep the mood upbeat and light during all photo sessions. She helped keep our day moving smoothly and was very timely with each shoot. Nicki gave us some great ideas for group photos, which turned out amazing. She isn't afraid to get dirty to get the perfect shot, whether it be climbing a hill or trudging through the thick brush of the woods. Also, her Will Pharrel jokes kept the whole wedding party laughing all day. Within a week of our wedding, we received our “preview” photos on social media, and all of the photos are breathtaking. We never would have expected to see photos so quickly. We were very impressed by her quick turnaround time and the quality of the photos she takes. Nicki truly has an eye for the best shots and her editing enhances the natural beauty of her subjects. We have nothing but positive remarks about Nicki's performance. I instantly fell I love with her style. We had our engagement shoot in February @ Taylor’s Falls. It was freezing and the snow was up to our waists, but she was a full force of energy. She will do anything for a shot and I was right there (mostly) with her ;). What was supposed to be a 1 hour session turned into an all afternoon session because she was so determined to get that perfect golden hour shot. And I am SO grateful that she did. My husband was not amped about taking pictures either and she made him so comfortable and walked him through each shot. For our wedding, I gave some ideas and shots I was looking to get. Nicki then turned around and made the most beautiful timeline I’ve ever seen. Everything was scheduled to a T and it was extremely helpful for our wedding party. f the pictures look more natural compare to editing them too "warm" or too "cool". We stumbled upon Nicki's page on The Knot, checked out her website and were impressed! When we had gotten ahold of Nicki to gather some information, we could tell she was going to be easy to work with. She was very responsive with her emails and just how she communicated with us, you could tell this was her true passion. Nicki was at the time living in St. Cloud, Minnesota and we were wanting to have our engagement photos taken in Winona, but she didn't mind the 3-4 hour drive since she use to live in Winona and knew of the good spots for pictures. When we met her in, of course, the Target parking lot (one fact about Nicki is she LOVES Target), the very first thing she says to me is "Hey girlfriend, ready to party?!"...we knew she was already going to be the perfect match for us! Going into our engagement photos, my husband and I were a bit nervous cause we weren't sure how to act when taking these pictures. Nicki was right off the bat making us laugh, smile and kiss a million times. She made it so fun and easy to do! The day of our wedding she was prompt on time, again coming from the St. Cloud area, and was ready for the day. She is pregnant with her second child and was a trooper walking all over Minneapolis and dealing with the humidity to capture the beauty of our day. Nicki was there majority of the day and was able to capture the important details as well as the fun details of our day. She was able to keep things moving in a timely matter, but yet was able to make all of us have fun and feel comfortable around her. What caught my eye was her attention to detail, how timeless her photographs look, and as weird as it sounds I could sense her passion through the photos. From our very first phone conversation, Nicki has proven time and time again to be the best decision we made when it came to the wedding. From the time we booked her to our wedding day, Nicki wore so many hats. She made an amazing timeline (which she executed to a T), she was the best therapist (weddings are stressful), she offered so many suggestions when it came to other vendors, but most importantly she genuinely felt like a friend. I felt that she was treating my wedding like it was hers, meaning I know she had so many other clients at the same time, but I always felt she was 110% there for me and my husband.
