Tony and Caroline Galzin are the proud owners of this Nashville establishment. A dynamic husband-and-wife duo, they met in Chicago, where Tony served as an executive pastry chef for renowned chef Michael Kornick. Caroline is the Director of Operations with years of experience in hospitality. Together, they opened Nicky’s Coal Fired in 2016, inspired by Tony’s Italian family traditions.

Nicky’s Coal Fired, which can accommodate up to 150 guests, and The Maxwell Room, which can accommodate up to 90, have a chic industrial vibe, with brick walls, wood beams, and warehouse-style windows. The Maxwell Room is more intimate and ideal for rehearsal dinners, wedding showers, and intimate receptions. Both spaces provide a speaker system, microphone, projector, and screen free of charge for your celebration. They also supply your essential furnishings, like tables and chairs included in event pricing. An onsite day-of manager will work with your outside vendors to ensure that everything goes off without a hitch. You and your guests can dine on fabulous Italian fare for your wedding meal, featuring delicious scratch made dishes like classic bolognese and chicken piccata. Bar packages are also available, with fine wines, custom cocktails, and a range of craft beers on tap. At Nicky’s Coal Fired + The Maxwell Room, your beautiful day will surely be a seamless success.

pricing was incredibly reasonable compared to other venues we considered. We like the ‘All inclusive’ pricing. The team was professional and courteous, and food was WAY better than standard banquet fare since this is a restaurant as well. The planner Katie even went above and beyond to assist when we had a bit of a decor snafu with our florist. Would highly recommend this as an option to anyone!

ing table and plating setups, cake cutting, dinner service, handling all clean up, and sharing our last dance with us it was nothing short of perfection. We heard incredible feedback from guest on how filling, delicious, and beautiful the food was! And personally it was some of the best food I’ve ever had, especially the focaccia- I need that recipe haha. The bartender for our event was incredible and remembered both mine and my husbands drink order, and the guests said the bartender was incredibly great to them as well. All in all, if I could stand on a roof and shout how incredible the team here is I would. If you take nothing else from this review just book it - we booked it sight unseen and couldn’t have been happier!

The host of the event checked in throughout the night to make sure everything was going to our expectations too. We are so glad we chose The Maxwell Room @ Nicky’s.
