I knew I wanted Nicole to be our wedding photographer. Nicole's professionalism was outstanding! I felt so comfortable working with her because she had an excellent way of communicating what she wanted to see from me in a clear and concise manner. She was always scoping out cool shots as we were running around the hotel and the venue. I would highly recommend Nicole as your wedding photographer!

If I didn't know better I would of thought she was on a hover board or roller skates. We knew it was a good fit before the engagement photos but as soon as we met Nicole for the photos everything clicked. She felt like a longtime friend. And she didn't complain at all about the cold, blustery weather & she even pushed us to go back to a spot & get a photo she was envisioning even though it meant more time in the cold! Then the wedding day came & it was even better. She was warm, loving, and kind. She moved in & around all day getting incredible shots, capturing the love & enjoying the day. I can't say enough how it truly felt that she enjoyed the day - that she was relishing the love and wasn't just there for a job. She had a smile on her face all day. One of the more incredible aspects to me - wasn't the warmth, or smiling face, or kindness (though they were special and appreciated) it was that, I honestly don't think once we got to the church, or during the reception - that I saw or was distracted by Nicole or our second photographer. They truly moved around like ninjas, I had family and friends even say that to us. We didn't realize how ninja-like they were until we got the photos back and couldn't believe some of the shots they got. Even outside, when it had snowed, and it was a toasty 19 degrees without windchill, up on a hill by the water in Fed Hill and when inside as we cycled through more family photos - with 10s of people and children running around. They were the most professional photographers we could have asked for - really knew their stuff. The photos are some of the most beautiful we've ever seen, and they somehow managed to truly capture the love and joy of that day. Highly highly highly recommend Nicole Barr Photography! You will not be disappointed. (and I can say, without a doubt, that if you want a photographer who can withstand crummy weather, look no further -- we planned our January wedding hoping for snow, and Mother Nature delivered - 19 degrees, 12 or so with a windchill, snow on the ground & they did their job without complaint and to the highest quality). Nicole is also really good at visualizing which photos are best - whether it's detail photos, portraits, or just capturing the day -- she knows what to look for, and how to get what she's envisioning out of it. She was super accommodating to meet us for dinner at the convenience of our crazy schedules to get acquainted and we talked up a storm for nearly 3 hours-- we left knowing she was the photographer for us. We couldn't believe how lucky we were that she was available on our date. She made the best effort to learn our personalities and our own personal pros/cons for being photographed. She asked about family dynamics to ensure there were no awkward or dramatic moments during our special day, and she went over our schedule ahead of the wedding day and knew what was happening when so she didn't miss a beat and helped make sure our timeline of the night unfolded perfectly. She was a calming and fun presence whom our entire families adored working with! We would hire Nicole again in a millisecond if it were possible to go back and relive our wedding day-- although, the pictures she captured were creative, complete, and transport us back to that day every time we look at them! She even had a beautiful blog posted online with dozens of preview photos the very next day. We loved Nicole and have bragged about her to everyone we know who's gotten engaged since our wedding day!
