DREAM TEAM!! I can't even begin to explain how amazing Nicki and Zack are. Picking the right photographer for my wedding was one of the most important things to me and something I stressed about and did so much research on, and I couldn't be happier with choosing the Gowans. Besides their work being absolutely incredible, they are so fun, personable, and comfortable to be around. I literally recommend them to every single person I know getting married, so just do yourself a favor and just book them!

Nicki and Zack are not only two of the most genuine, kind-hearted people on the planet, but also the absolute best wedding photographers we could have asked for!!! Throughout the entire process - booking, planning/re-planning due to a COVID postponement, engagement shoot, and finally the wedding day - they were responsive and professional. They were adaptable - not only when we had to postpone our entire wedding nearly 18 months - but also when we had to rearrange some of our plans day-of due to rain. They didn’t even bat an eye, and never once did we doubt that they were going to get amazing shots despite the backdrop not being what we’d imagined. We were so grateful for their calm, positive energy, patience, and talent - both at taking amazing photos and helping us feel at ease. When you choose your wedding photographers, the first thing most people think about is, “how awkward am I going to be taking these photos?!” But, from the moment we had our first introduction zoom call with Nicki and Zack we knew that those awkward moments would feel natural. We instantly thought how lucky we were to not have found just one amazing photographer, but TWO AMAZING photographers who not only fit together with each other perfectly, but us too. They are the perfect balance of professional and fun and never once made it feel like a working relationship – instead, we had the pleasure of cherishing their friendship and endless laughter as they captured our personalities and love in the most amazing photos of both our engagement and wedding day. It is clear how their photos can speak for themselves and shows how talented they are with capturing real emotions – but the most important reason we chose them to photograph our day is because their passion for what they do is endless. Not only did they capture us, our friends, and our family so beautifully, but they also captured our three dogs in so many photos that we will equally cherish forever because they recognized how special and important, they were to us too. We got engaged during covid so our first “meeting” with Nicki & Zack was via FaceTime. Immediately we knew they would help us get the timeless photos we wanted for our wedding. Our engagement photos & wedding photos are nothing short of breathtaking. Reading the below reviews had me nodding my head in agreement!! Nicki and Zack are the absolute BEST photographers you could ask for for your wedding!! RUN don’t walk to book them! We had last minute shifts in our wedding plans and had to plan a completely new wedding 6 months out. By the grace of God Nicki and Zack were available - not only was it one of the last dates avail on their calendar, it was their ANNIVERSARY. 📆 we spoke a bunch of times leading up to actually meeting them, but after the first time we spoke, my husband and I both knew that these two people were unbelievable humans and even better photographers if that’s possible. They blew all of our expectations out of the water. They were kind, comforting, funny, professional and they captured our special day in a way that I didn’t even know was possible. We are so thankful to have had them photograph our day and if you happen to stumble upon this review, take it as a sign to book them now – because it’s going to be the best decision you will make! (Aside from ya know actually getting married!)

Every single review here is telling the truth. If Nicki + Zack are available for your wedding date, you are BLESSED! They are absolutely the most amazing humans and photographers. The energy they carry and the love they have for each other is contagious - it calmed our nerves and made us be able to soak up every single moment of the day. We just love them so much! And, not to mention their photography skills are PURE MAGIC.

What can I say that hasn't already been shared by so many other brides and grooms who were lucky enough to work with Nicki and Zack? All the reviews are true. The Gowans are not only wonderful humans, they are also incredibly talented. So much so that it was the one and only recommendation a friend gave to me after her wedding. "You HAVE to book my photographers" she said. And she was right. But it's not only my husband and I who enjoyed working with Nicki and Zack - my entire family commented on how easily they corralled our large group, their handy tricks to get the little ones to smile, and how they never batted an eye when an eager family member pulled out their personal phone to take a photo. Planning a wedding during a pandemic came with many stresses, which made me even more grateful to have had Nicki and Zack in our lives to remind us of all the joy and happiness we had to celebrate. The hardest part now will be combing through the hundreds of amazing pictures to figure out which ones to print and hang on the wall!

Nicki and Zack Gowan are not only a couple who clearly loves each other, but they also so genuinely love their clients and what they do. My fiance had asked them to photograph the proposal and it was the second best thing he did that night! I fell in love with their photography style and knew we had to book them for our wedding. From our proposal, to the engagement shoot, to the wedding day, every interaction we had with them had us more and more excited and also confident that we were in good hands. The day of the wedding, they came into the house with big smiles - ready to take the lead - getting every perfect shot and keeping us all on schedule. Not to mention so easily going with the flow to scope out a Plan B first look location for us! They are the most genuine, TALENTED, and fun couple that anyone would be lucky to know let alone have photograph their wedding. Nicki and Zack are some of the best people you will meet! Not only do they take THE most amazing photos and capture every little moment; you’ll feel like you’re best friends after just meeting them! Nicki and Zack did our engagement pictures in 2018 and shot our intimate wedding ceremony on 6/27/2020. We have loved working with them on both occasions. They are truly a dream to work with. Not only are their pictures absolutely GORGEOUS but they are so fun and awesome to be around!! Nicki & Zack photographed our wedding on 12/27/2019 and I don’t have enough words to describe how incredible they were. Our photos were the most important thing to us when considering vendors, and Nicki and Zack exceeded every expectation we had by miles. From the first time I spoke with Nicki, I knew that we needed them to be part of our day. She was so genuine and easy to talk to, and really understood the vision that we had for our wedding. They were easy to communicate with, always responding to emails in a timely manner and were flexible as plans changed along the way. At our engagement photoshoot, Nicki and Zack immediately connected with us and got us laughing and comfortable in front of the camera. We truly felt like we could just be our happy, in-love selves, with them occasionally prompting us to tilt our chins down just a bit, rather than them rigidly posing us for each photo. On our wedding day, it felt like our longtime friends were joining us in our bridal suite to get ready, rather than strangers coming in to photograph. They worked themselves seamlessly into our day, always finding the perfect spot to get the shot while never being intrusive or distracting us or our guests from the moment. We had so many of our family and friends comment on how lovely they were, and our bridal party absolutely loved hanging out with them, and loved being photographed by them. When our reception venue ran a little late with dinner and we hadn’t gotten many dance floor shots yet, they quickly reassured me not to worry about it and stayed later than their contracted time to make sure they got photos of every stage of the night. I was shocked when Nicki emailed me a link to our preview of over 70 photos the very next day, less than 24 hours later! We got our full album of 1200 photos a month after our wedding. This quick turnaround time could have been because our wedding was in the off season, but after hearing stories from friends and coworkers who took upwards of 5 months to get their own photos back from their photographers, I was so appreciative of Nicki and Zack’s understanding how badly we wanted to see the photos and getting them to us as quickly as they could. I lost count of how many people told us that ours were the most beautiful wedding photos they had ever seen. Needless to say, Nicki and Zack will be getting booked by all of my bridesmaids when they get engaged. Of all the decisions we made in wedding planning, choosing Nicki and Zack as our photographers was by far the best one.

Where to begin? I found Nicki and Zack Gowan on Instagram and immediately fell in love with their photography. We initially talked with Nicki on the phone about our January 2020 wedding, she was so down to earth and very understanding of our budget. When we were discussing the engagement shoot, they recommended that we do one with them and I am so happy that we did! Not only did we get absolutely breathtaking photos at sunset, but we also got to know Nicki and Zack and we became more confident and comfortable in front of a camera. When our wedding day finally arrived, The Gowans were amazing! They immediately made me feel relaxed when I saw them and they got right to work. We had a tight timeline and they did a great job keeping us to it despite having a large family and bridal party to take photos of . After making our families and friends all feel like models, my husband and I wanted to head to our venue quickly for some outdoor photos in the snow. We set up for a family member to drive us over, but Nicki and Zack offered us a ride right away so we hopped in their car. Once at the venue, I realized that I forgot my boots back at our hotel. Nicki immediately went to the back seat of her car, grabbed a pair of her own snow boots and helped me change out of my heels. She saved the day (and my feet)! They truly went above and beyond to make sure to capture every moment of our special day. The two of them work so well together and are so talented! All of my wedding guests could not say enough nice things about the two of them. I can’t wait to show off all of our breathtaking photos and for that, I am truly grateful. We not only have photos that captured our day perfectly, but we have also gained two great friends! The only thing I would have changed was to get a picture of the four of us all together. Nicki and Zack are the absolute best. My husband and I will be forever grateful. I am a research attorney -- I took my time researching for the best, and that led me to Nicki and Zack. Since the beginning, they were so responsive to any emails I sent their way. Nicki gave great tips regarding how to schedule our time for portraits and our first look, and the tips really set our day right. Nicki and Zack are amazing people with big hearts, brilliant minds, insane talent, and warm, uplifting spirits. Just having them around me on my big day, I felt so calm because of their warm spirits and professional nature. Every so often after our wedding, my husband would comment to me about how great Nicki and Zack were/are. They naturally step up beyond the role of a typical photographer, beyond what you could ever ask of them -- I remember one moment in which they made sure my husband did not see me before our first look (I was oblivious, but it was a close call), and my husband really appreciated how Zack offered to help pin his boutonniere during his solo photo session (we had a small wedding without any groomsmen). When my husband and I received our photos, we, our family, and friends were blown away. Nicki and Zack capture beautiful moments in such a beautiful way. To me, I feel like they captured us as who we want our kids and grandkids to remember us by -- they really capture your inner (and outer) beauty, the special love between you and your partner, the love and joy of your family and friends, and the beautiful details of your wedding that you put your heart into. They worked with us to create a (tight) timeline for the wedding day and everything went so smoothly. We really couldn't have asked for two better people to capture such a special, important day! Nicki and Zack are incredibly talented! In addition to having a great eye for the perfect shot, they are amazing people and are so easy to get along with! My fiance and I felt so comfortable with them during our engagement session, and they were wonderful with our dog as well. This will be the longest and most detailed review I have ever written about any one person or company of my entire life. I am doing so because the people in review are deserving of the highest accolades. What Nicole and Zach contributed to our wedding experience is simply intangible. From the moments we spent during our 1 hr “meet and greet” session to our last goodbye as the reception ended their professionalism and interest in making our special day memorable captured my attention. As the groom, I dealt with Zach in great detail and came to notice and appreciate the following avenues: 1. Zach and Nicole were sensitive to the family interactions throughout the day and always found a way to capture but not intrude the moments of smiles and hugs we shared that day. They were everywhere, but nowhere, all at the same time. That is an incredible feature on your wedding day. 2. They truly respected the timeline of events and are incredibly dependable players during game time. In all the busy movements of a wedding day, people and vehicles and obligations, it is easy to lose minutes here and there and have a massive ripple effect. They were so onboard in respecting the timeline and it made everything easier. Remember, “the only thing you can’t make more of is time” on a day like your wedding, so having a photographer that keeps the day moving but still gets the shot is incredibly valuable. 3. Zach is the guy you can share a coffee with, have a beer with, and literally have a vulnerable moment as your emotions spill over on your wedding day. I couldn’t have asked for a more professional person to be around during the roller coaster of the day. 4. He gets the shot. He framed, and re-framed, our setup of groomsmen, family photos, and even waited for the wind to die down for just the right moment during a set. He is a “photography-whisperer” and excellent beyond excellent. 5. Zach performed as a “sudo-groomsmen”. He held sunglasses, phones, helped with logistics, ect…. He is incredibly reliable and even keeled. Zach and Nicole created something we will have for the rest of our lives, and the value they added to our day was not just in what they memorialized but in the process in which they did it. They made it fun, easy, respectful, and on time. It’s not easy to do all four of those things, and they did them so well. Their editing skills are exceptional and every single photo is perfect. There are so many magical photos, it is truly impossible to pick a favorite! They are incredibly trustworthy and honest humble people. I offer my highest recommendation for their services. They will compliment your most important day in every avenue possible. They are artists, tacticians, professionals, and most importantly respectful, kind people. I could not have asked for a better duo of photographers and teammates on our special day.

Nicole and Zach are amazing! We contacted them in hopes that they would be able to photograph our small elopement ceremony on a random Thursday afternoon . They were more than happy to document our day and celebrate with us. Within twelve hours of the ceremony, Nicole had already messaged us with 20 "sneak peak" photos. Simply wonderful people.

All I can say is WOW. Nicki (and her husband Zack) are everything you want in wedding photographers to capture one of the arguably most important days of your life. We contacted Nicki after falling in love with our friends’ elopement pictures she had done and let her know of our wild, non traditional plan of eloping on a hot air balloon in VT, surrounded by our immediate family members. Right off the bat, they were down for the adventure! We did an engagement session prior to the wedding and it’s SO clear how much they truly love what they do. I was worried we would be incredibly awkward, but they made the day fun and comfortable and it felt more like walking around Boston with new friends. After leaving, my cheeks hurt from smiling and laughing so much and if it wasn’t clear before, when we got those photos we knew we picked the perfect photographers to capture our wedding. For our ceremony, they trekked all the way to VT to stay at an inn with our families. When the weather was jeopardizing our plan to get married in a hot air balloon (leaving us with no viable plan B) Nicki and Zack were calm and supportive and offered to scout pretty VT locations we could get married. We ended up having a chance of the weather clearing and being able to go up in the balloon, and after a long ride to the launch site in a sprinter with 12 of us, and then waiting for almost an hour in the rain to see if it was possible we’d be able to fly, the pilot finally called it and we were not going to be able to go up in the balloon. That’s when Nicki and Zack sprung into action- taking umbrellas out of their trunk and seeking out the perfect spot. We were leaving that field married, and they were going to make it the most beautiful ceremony they could! We quite literally got married on the side of the road on someone’s private property, in the pouring rain, and it was the MOST magical and beautiful moment of our lives. We just got our album and it’s so incredible how talented they are- the photos make it look like that was the plan all along! Going through the album took us back to that day and gave me chills! If you’re looking for a wedding photographer, stop looking and hire Nicki- I would HIGHLY recommend her and Zack!

We were referred to Nicki by my husband's co-worker and are we SO glad we took their advice! Nicki and Zack did an absolutely incredible job throughout the entire process. They were very responsive leading up to the wedding and they did a fantastic job the day of. They were both so easy to work with, incredibly sweet and we had so much fun with them both!!! ALL THE FEELS. Nikki + Zack are literally the dream team and superseded our expectations on our wedding day! We planned a quick wedding and our friends had already hired Nicole Ellen for their engagement photos + wedding for the same year so we were over the moon when we found out they were available. Since we live out of state and had scheduling conflict we didn't get to plan an engagement shoot (which is what made us pick them) since my friend's came out so amazing. We wanted to hire vendors that we felt like we connected with and had similar fun personalities as us. She took the time to reach out via email and phone even though we worked through a wedding planner. It was snowing the day of our wedding and they scoped the scene and checked out all the different areas we could shoot indoor and outdoor depending on weather and our comfort zone we went with their direction and are so happy they did! We had amazing shots and I really felt like they went above and beyond to reassure us that they had a plan in place! During the ceremony and reception they were almost invisible while getting so many great candid and special moments. They work seamlessly together and are so much fun to be with. I am so happy we booked with Nikki and Zack and could not recommend them more!

Where do I start with Nicole and Zack?!! Pictures were the most important of my detail for me because they last a lifetime, and Nicole and Zack exceeded my wildest expectations. They spent extra time with my husband and I going over every detail in person to make sure everything was exactly how we wanted it, and helped the big day go so smoothly. All of my guests have absolutely been blown away by the photos and I can't thank either of them enough. My biggest wedding win was booking and working with these two!!!:)

Nicole is simply amazing at what she does and I could not have asked for a better photographer to be with me on my wedding day.
