Nicole George Event Planning & Design is a wedding production and design company creating intimate celebrations for creatively conscious dreamers. We create personalized experiences and rad celebrations (yes rad…because no one remembers the average party) for clientele that value the lighter and brighter side of life and want to host a gathering with their closest friends and family. We prefer to host killer parties with a side of wedding and if you feel the same, we already know we’ll be creating magic in no time. Design is our jam and we offer a variety of planning and coordination services suited for any stage of planning, however, our services specialize in intimate gatherings under 100 guests. Nicole George and the team have planned and designed over 400 weddings and events since 2010 with our services spanning from Los Angeles to San Diego and beyond.

We did the partial planning for our wedding and it was great! No wedding planning is stress-free, but Nicole executed everything perfectly and the wedding was great! She did a great job with the design, helping us find vendors, and at times being our liaison. She was very organized and helpful the day of as well.
Trust is everything when it comes to these things, and you can definitely trust her to get things done. Of course, don't go on cruise control... after all it's your wedding, but she will pull through and make your wedding the best it can be.

Nicole George and her team are absolutely incredible! We had a very specific vision for our wedding, with two separate venues, a small intimate ceremony and dinner with 40 individuals followed by a reception party at our favorite neighborhood bar with nearly 100 attendees. Nicole brought our vision to life and delivered us an experience that exceeded our expectations! She flawlessly guided us through the planning process, which allowed us to enjoy the creation of our dream wedding, while she skillfully managed the execution. We felt totally taken care of leading up to, and especially on, the day of our wedding. She really helped design the most magical experience for us and our guests. We were able to be fully immersed in every moment of our day as everything unfolded seamlessly. Not to mention, she and her team are a joy to be around, and exactly the calm and professional presence you want around on your wedding day! Nicole stuck with us through a pandemic (our original wedding date was March 2020) for over 2 years - kept in touch with us throughout, coordinated with our many vendors, helped tough through 3 schedule changes - and then absolutely nailed it on our eventual wedding ceremony in June 2022. She’s the best. We highly recommend her. She has an amazing taste for aesthetics; she is efficient, and above all else, she is nice and helpful and understanding. We interviewed a few day-of wedding coordinators and decided to go with Nicole George's team, and we're so glad we did! It was one of the best decisions we made (and when you're planning a wedding, there are lots of decisions!)
Our main coordinator, Rebecca, was calm and professional from the start and we appreciated her well-paced approach in the months leading up to our big day. Even though we didn't opt for the full-on wedding planning package, she gave us short check-lists of things to do and think about in the months leading up to our wedding. This definitely helped us feel confident that we were thinking about the right things at the right time.
Rebecca asked us a lot of great questions in our pre-planning interview and took the time to understand what aspects were really important to us. She made sure that every detail was covered. Throughout the planning process, we felt supported through every decision and didn't feel pressured in any way.
Most importantly, we were able to enjoy and savor the entire day (and the days leading up to it) because we knew our vendors, guests, etc. were all taken care of, and any question or worry we had was addressed kindly and promptly. We whole-heartedly recommend Rebecca and Nicole to plan and coordinate your wedding!
Nicole George was a literal angel to work with. She was was height of professional while also being kind and thoughtful.
She managed our wedding before and mainly during the pandemic. We started in 2019 and got married in 2021. We had to move our event twice for safety. I thought about backing out a number of times not because of her, but the situation. I was/am maybe the most checked out bride/person ever but, her system made it possible for even me to mange. And we are both very happy we stuck it out to have celebrated, but also keep it as safe an event as possible.
She thought of literally everything from a beautiful bouquet she sent to honor our original wedding date (which we even forgot about it) to dropping off my dress/flowers at our hotel after our reception when my entire family drunkenly forgot their one responsibility that night… everything at my wedding was perfect.
The experience made me want to have more events to throw in the future just so I can use her services and I’m the least social person I know. She was wonderful!
Hiring Nicole and her team was the single best decision we made regarding our wedding planning. Her title “owner and creative director” is exactly correct - she strikes the perfect balance between completely handling the logistical element of wedding planning and understanding the emotional and visual impact we wanted our wedding to have. From the design conception to running the show on the day-of, Nicole was the perfect person to have. She went along with our wacky ideas and nudged us in the right direction when she needed to. Planning a wedding from 3000 miles away could have been a nightmare, but it was a dream come true because of Nicole George! Professional, organized, capable and kind doesn't even begin to describe what a Godsend this wedding coordinator was. Questions answered promptly, emails returned quickly, and a treasure trove of recommendations, connections, and creative ideas. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
We cannot say enough about Nicole! We hired her as a partial wedding planner, meaning she helped with everything design related for the wedding and of course she and her teammate Rebecca were there on the day. Nicole was organized, patient, and kind. I am very type A and she never once made me feel like I was annoying her with all my questions. I felt very confident in her decisions and the wedding came out wonderful. I had an issue with my bustle on the wedding day and she was fully prepared with safety pins and helped me fix it throughout the night.

My husband and I have been imagining what our perfect wedding would be like for a very long time and the NGE team really brought all we hoped for to life.
We started working with Rebecca and Nicole in January and, in only a few short months, we got married in April. During that time, this amazing team helped us secure the right vendors and make key decisions even during a very busy wedding year when many venues and vendors were already booked up.
Rebecca was on top of our to-do lists and timelines, and was always available to offer guidance, recommendations and to answer each and every one of our questions. She was always organized, and planned two steps ahead for everything, but was warm, friendly, and fun through it all.
Nicole helped us design a wedding that felt true to who we are as individuals and as a couple. She understood our vision and made it better. It was important that the wedding felt like us, from the actual design of the space to the comfy vibe of the evening—both Nicole and Rebecca definitely delivered on that in their respective ways.
The day of the wedding went so smoothly and we had the best time of our lives. We couldn't have asked for a better team and will always be grateful to Nicole and Rebecca for making this day simply magical.

We recently had the joy of working with Nicole George and Rebecca Lissoy in planning our wedding and they made the whole process so convenient and wonderful.
They really helped with organization and planning by providing a web platform to keep track of tasks, giving regular reminders, and excellent recommendations. Their professionalism in the industry has made them familiar with many other vendors, so they were able to recommend services we were missing with people they knew, and whenever we mentioned Nicole George's name, other vendors instantly recognized them.
We didn't have a lot of experience with attending weddings and weren't familiar with a lot of traditions, but Nicole and Rebecca have a lot of insight and were understanding with our lack of experience. They explained traditions and ideas that they had seen other couples do and gave us options on what to do, so we got to customize the experience with them.
On the day of the wedding, Nicole and Rebecca helped guide the event behind the scenes and checked in only when necessary, which allowed us to feel comfortable and relaxed. Everything went amazing and we were able to really enjoy the event. Thank you Nicole George and Rebecca Lissoy!
Kathleen helped us make our wedding day so smooth and special. We could not have done it without her and her team. She worked with us all through COVID and having to move our wedding several times. There are no words that could describe how amazing Nicole and Kathleen were on our wedding day! Our wedding was filled with a lot uncertainties due to COVID-19 traveling restrictions and Nicole was very accommodating in all the last minutes changes we made throughout the planning process. We can truly say that our wedding planning was very smooth and stress-free (thanks to Nicole!). Nicole and Kathleen brought our wedding vision such as the love letter wall, which was definitely the highlight of our wedding, into life and we couldn't be happier with the result. Nicole and her team were nothing but amazing! Nicole made sure to listen to all my needs and concerns without ever making me feel like I was being insane! We had to postpone our wedding due to Covid, and Nicole walked us through everything so graciously. She not only was so organized but she made sure you met deadlines and made sure to remind you of when things needed to get done. Even after our original florist decided to give us a hard time last minute, Nicole found us a new amazing florist that weekend that did even BETTER than the first! She listens to details and gives you options that are affordable and practical. Nicole, I will have wedding number 2 just so you can plan it again haha! Thank you for giving us our dream wedding!
Working with Kathleen at Nicole George Event Planning & Design was absolutely perfect in every way.
From day one, Kathleen took time to really get to know my husband and I- what we cared about most and what we envisioned for our wedding reception. She was extremely responsive and always willing to lend a hand. It really put my mind at ease knowing that she was there- and she always answered so quickly which I appreciated.
When COVID hit and we sadly had to postpone our reception, I turned to Kathleen and she couldn't have been more helpful. She contacted each and every one of our vendors and helped us pick a new date. She constantly stayed in touch with us and stayed on top of the vendors to make sure everything went off without a hitch as we got closer to our new date.
Finally the day of the reception came! Kathleen was at the venue early making sure all the vendors were on time and that everything looked perfect! She even texted me the morning of- and it was the reassurance I completely needed. The reception honestly could not have been more perfect- it was everything we dreamed of and more- and this would have never been possible without Kathleen's help. She event we so far as to take pictures of all the details of the venue because she knew I wouldn't have time or would forget!
I can honestly say that Kathleen went above and beyond. She made us feel like we were the only couple she was working with and gave our reception 110%. I would recommend her to anyone and have already given her name to a few close friends.

Nicole and her team encompass every quality you'd want in a planner + coordinator. Attentive to the tiniest details in design and logistics. Incredible vision, creativity, feel for aesthetic and space. Empathetic to couples desires -- able to reign us in, encourage us, and help us stay focused. Accessible, responsive, and communicative in all the right ways. Thorough, organized, and opens up a network of vendors she knows will strike the right notes. Consummate professional + compassionate friend. Nicole hung with us for two years as we had to change dates because of COVID. When we moved our date, Nicole helped us plan a small, intimate backyard ceremony in the interim, then brought the pieces together for a large wedding + reception at the Inn at Rancho Santa Fe one year later. On the day of, everything went off without a worry, and if there was one, she protected us from it being our concern. Could not recommend her and her services more. 10/10.
We knew booking Nicole George Events for our wedding was the right choice from the first phone call with Nicole George herself. She was so professional and detail-oriented which is exactly what you want from a wedding planner. She listened to our needs for our wedding and helped us decide that going with her wedding coordinator package would be the best choice for us.
We then continued working with Kathleen who was amazing from start to finish. She met with us about 7-8 months before our original wedding date to get a better understanding of how we wanted our wedding to go. She asked all the right questions and covered all details. Kathleen was also very helpful when we had to postpone our wedding due to COVID, and she was with us every step of the way. She kept us on track and we never felt rushed when wedding planning.
On the actual day of our wedding, Kathleen and her team took care of everything and all we had to do was sit back and relax until the ceremony. She coordinated with all our vendors to arrive accordingly and she took care of all set-up. We were blown away by how beautiful both our ceremony and reception were, and we continue to get compliments from our guests about our wedding. Nicole and her team were incredible! She helped us seamlessly navigate all the twists and turns throughout our 2-year planning process due to the pandemic. She was thoughtful, detailed, communicative, and an absolute joy to work with throughout our entire planning process. She also has a great roster of vendor recommendations, and knows exactly how to de-code the world of vendor communication! Simply put, she made wedding planning look easy. Her flexibility and creativity were very much appreciated, and my husband and I would highly recommend her!
Nicole and the NGE team were, as the title suggests, the best wedding planners we could have ever imagined. We had to go through a Covid postponement and she handled all of the logistics with our vendors without a hitch and with incredible patience and flexibility. In terms of our actual event at the Darlington House, it was better than we could have ever hoped for. Nicole's planning and unique design touch really made the difference. Nicole and her team have been extraordinarily helpful during the current Covid-19 climate. Since the day we signed the contact Nicole has curated the most beautiful and personalized wedding for my fiancé and I, but it has been recent events that have highlighted her skills. She has a calm demeanor, is organized, and responds significantly faster than any other vendor we’ve been in contact with. She seamlessly responds to emails both about my worries over the wedding and continues to help me plan in the most low risk way possible. This assures me that any problems that we have on my wedding day will be cake for her and her team!

I cannot express how easy it is to work with Nicole and her team. As a fellow vendor, she is seamless in her work process and makes every aspect streamlined and runs like a well-oiled machine. This review is long overdue, but as my husband Jake and I celebrated our 1-year anniversary this past weekend we could not help but reminisce about the impact delivered by Nicole George as she helped turn our dream wedding into reality. Nicole showcases an innate, uncanny ability to organize weddings in the most professional manner. In preparation of the big day she scheduled multiple check-ins and walkthrough visits of our venue.
During the first time we met with her she listened carefully to our vision and asked thoughtful questions to gain further clarity when needed as we walked around the premise. The second meeting included a blueprint diagram Nicole designed on her computer of the property layout so we could easily see how she began bringing our wedding to life - the venue themselves even asked for a copy of the design for their records!
Over the course of the next couple months Nicole coordinated multiple vendor meetings for us. Each time we concluded a meeting we left feeling confident that Nicole’s goal was to help optimize our budget by finding items that provided the greatest impact without compromising our vision.
On the day of the wedding Nicole’s organizational skills continued to shine. A flawless timeline left no awkward gaps at any time during the day and nothing ever felt rushed. In fact, both independent vendors working with Nicole for the first time and multiple wedding guests came up to Jake and I with positive comments about the flawlessly executed day.
All in all, weddings can often feel chaotic. Nicole not only delivers on everything she both promises and one would expect from a top-tier wedding coordinator, but her eye for design and last minute adjustments to provide a dream wedding left our wedding guests in awe and reliving the event more than a year later!
Truly the BEST wedding planner, we could have not picked a more talented and professional planner to make our wedding possible! From the moment we spoke to Nicole for our initial phone call, we knew that we would be in great hands! After emails and phone calls with other wedding planners and feeling underwhelmed by other teams, we scheduled our call with Nicole and within five minutes my husband and I gave each other the thumbs up, and we quickly secured Nicole for our wedding! Our wedding location was not your typical venue (a private residence) and required a professional who had the experience and knowledge above and beyond the normal needs of a planner and an eye for turning a space into a beautiful location for a ceremony and a reception. From the very beginning, Nicole guided us through all of the factors and options when planning our wedding, and provided us a great group of vendors to pick from that would match our sense of style and the experience we were wanting to create for our guests. We were lucky to work with Nicole for a year leading up to the big day and SO thankful we did! Nicole’s organization, thoroughness in her planning of all of the details and her quick communication made wedding planning feel like a breeze. We hired Nicole George Events for month-of wedding coordination for our March 2018 wedding and they did a great job. Kathleen was our wedding coordinator and she knocked it out of the park. We found Kathleen to be very on-the-ball, great with communication, extremely professional, and very friendly. She helped us figure out everything we needed to do, stay organized with our guests and vendors, plan our timeline, and keep things running smoothly the day of the event. Planning a wedding is a huge, complex event that we obviously had never done before and Kathleen made the process infinitely easier. We really feel like it was money well spent. Definitely call Nicole and Kathleen if you need event planning services!!
We love Nicole George! We hired her for the last 3 months of planning, in my mind- at the last minute. We spoke with her over the phone, and I knew she was the one for us. She helped us coordinate all our vendors, make the day-of timelines and delivery schedules. Her work in the last month made my life easier, and I was so relaxed leading up to our day. She was great at solving little day of problems- only I knew the things that weren’t quite right. Everything was beautiful and our guests had a great time.
