We had an absolutely phenomenal experience with Night Owl DJ for our daughter’s wedding! With decades of experience, he brought so much professionalism, energy, and fun to the even...
ing. The music was fantastic, and he created exactly the atmosphere we hoped for.
What really stood out was how much more he provided than just great music. He handled the uplighting and microphones and worked closely with our wedding planner to make sure the timeline and pacing of the evening flowed perfectly. He met with our daughter and son-in-law several times before the wedding to go over the details and make sure everything was exactly what they wanted.
He was incredibly organized, responsive, and easy to communicate with throughout the entire process. It was such a relief knowing this important part of the wedding was in such capable hands.
We would highly recommend Night Owl DJ to anyone looking for a DJ for a wedding or any special event. He truly went above and beyond, and we couldn’t have been happier with how everything turned out!
Ed was so kind on our wedding day- checking in with me (the bride) and my groom asking how we were doing and communicating so well so we didn’t have to worry. Also the reception wa...
s exactly what I’d hoped for based on my song requests and favorite artists. I was so happy with the music- everything was so perfect and the guests had a blast!!
I HIGHLY recommend Ed to anyone looking to hire him for their wedding! He was one of the best investments we made for our big day. Ed went above and beyond in so many ways to make ...
sure our day went by smoothly and to ensure we had a great, memorable time. He's not afraid to jump in and help in other aspects that he sees. He was very professional, communicative, punctual, reliable, flexible, and understanding. He clearly cares about the couples and making sure he can do whatever he can to make the day tailored to them and run smoothly.
I needed more guidance than probably most brides but he was there with me every step of the way. He was extremely helpful when it came to the rehearsal dinner, creating my music planning sheet, and everything day of. There were SO MANY musical genres between me, my husband, bridal party, and guests. He managed to incorporate all of them seamlessly so everyone had a great time out on the dancefloor. By the end of the night, I had so many compliments from my family, bridal party, friends, and guests about how great Ed was! I cannot recommend him enough and I am so thankful for having his expertise on my wedding day!
I would recommend Ed to anyone!! We went to a wedding that he DJ’d & Emceed and were impressed with his ability to read the crowd and keep people on the dance floor. He did the sa...
me at our wedding while still somehow incorporating my specific song requests that really no one else was into, haha! He was very organized, made sure we had plenty of phone calls so that he knew every detail about the day, and he was super accommodating of my requests, like dismissing tables for the buffet super quietly. He showed up super early on the wedding day to make sure everything was good to go by the time guests arrived, and even though that made for a very long day for him, he still was constantly checking in on my fiancé and me to see if we needed anything. In addition to being our DJ and emcee, he did our uplighting and the monogram, and they were beautiful. He put so much effort into our day!!
Ed was absolutely amazing to work with throughout the planning process and ensured our wedding day was fun! Not only did Ed provide the best music to dance to, he also was a wonder...
ful emcee and worked closely with our coordinator and photographer to make sure everything went smoothly! Ed was there for rehearsal to make sure that our music was perfect for the ceremony and also helped us unload our car full of wedding stuff! Those are just a couple of examples of how Ed went above and beyond for our wedding. We’d recommend him over and over again to anyone needing a DJ!

e is very personable and took time to get to know both my wife and I so that we could have the best experience for our wedding. Ed went above and beyond to help us and even coordinated with our other wedding staff/caterers to make sure that our wedding ran smoothly. He came out to our venue to assess the property ahead of time, several months before the wedding to make sure that the facility had the power capabilities and set up needed for what we were wanting to have at our wedding. Ed was very prepared and experienced which made getting ready for our wedding day easier for us. He had everything ready to go well before the week of our wedding so that we could focus on other last-minute details during our wedding week. We can't say enough good things about Ed; he even came to rehearsal the night before the wedding to help with set-up/additional things that we needed! He paid close attention to details, and we wouldn't have had such a great wedding/reception without Ed's help! During the reception he paid attention to the crowd and played music based on what people liked! If you are looking for a DJ that is fun, personable, pays attention to details and that is experienced and professional, look no further! Ed, thank you again for all your help with our wedding and reception and we hope to see you again and utilize your DJ skills in the future for our next shindig!
I’ve worked with many DJs as a previous event coordinator, but when it came to planning my own, I was blown away with Night Owl DJs. No matter how busy he was, Ed was always so res...
ponsive, very detail oriented and organized, and went above and beyond to make sure my day was exactly as I wanted it. I got so many compliments from friends and family from my wedding on how nice and helpful Ed was, even with things I didn’t ask him to do, like helping my coordinator set up and light candles. I knew my day would run smoothly with Ed which helped put some wedding stress at ease. Do yourself a favor and give Ed a call to DJ your event. You will not be disappointed!
Ed is an incredible DJ/MC and I would highly recommend him to anyone! His willingness to make the evening run exactly as we wished was evident from the very start. He is responsive...
, kind, easy-going, and managed to keep our guests on the dance floor all night long! He helped make it a night we will never forget!

wedding. Ed has a ton of experience and did both our ceremony and reception music. He was professional, charismatic, and adaptable. He takes pride in his work and makes sure everyone has a good time. Ed truly made our day so special and it would not have been the same without him.
Everything and more that I wanted for our son’s wedding. He will guide you through details, very personable, kept the music going and the dance floor hopping! Highly recommend!

music was perfect during the reception! Ed was very professional, and knew what to play and when, and the dance floor was always full! Our guests commented that he did a great job and made the reception so much fun!! I have recommended him to many others since then!

ate with him with ease through call, text, and/or email. Ed will listen to you to make sure you are getting the wedding/reception that you want. Ed will reach out to your venue and officiate on your behalf to introduce himself and double check plans. He is happy to meet you at your venue and talk about set-up ideas. Ed will arrive early the day-of and even wear a suit (very professional). Ed can also be your 'day-of-planner', keeping everything (everyone) in check and running smoothly. Ed also have a wide range of music that he will use to make even the most stubborn person want to dance.
You will not be disappointed if you hire Ed. He is an awesome DJ and a great person overall who will make sure you have the wedding/reception that you want.
I can’t say enough great things about Ed! We loved his attention to detail to more than just the music, but the whole wedding process. He goes above and beyond to make sure that ev...
erything is planned the way you want it. The choices in music, set up and lighting were great as well. He knows how to read a crowd and play music off that. Ed was meeting with us before the wedding and came to the rehearsal. We appreciate his kindness and dedication!
Ed was the DJ at my sister’s wedding so based on his work there, we knew it was a no-brainer! From the very first phone call, Ed was prompt, professional, and thorough. He is clear...
ly a seasoned DJ based on the questions he asked us, down to the tiniest of details for the big day. He was attentive in what my husband and I were looking for and made note of what was most important to us. Throughout the year of planning, he stayed in touch and followed up with tasks as deadlines hit. He even asked to attend a walk-through of our event space so he could meet our wedding coordinator, the vendors, and get a first-hand look of the set-up. We couldn’t say more wonderful things about Ed as a wedding DJ, but also as a person. One of the most important aspects of our wedding was the dance floor and the music- Ed went above and beyond to ensure our special day was everything and more! If you’re looking for a wedding DJ (who does way more than play great music), Ed is your guy!
Ed was amazing to work with. We knew he would be since he DJ-ed my brother's wedding and did such an awesome job, so we hired him for ours. He is very personable and was very tho...
rough at making sure he knew our music tastes as well as the schedule of events for the wedding day. One reason I didn't feel the need to have a devoted wedding coordinator was that I knew Ed would do everything possible to help everything go smoothly the day of, and he absolutely delivered. We later saw him at another friend's wedding, where he did another fantastic job. My husband and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a DJ.
We are SOOOO happy we hired Night Owl DJs (Ed) for our wedding at The Butchertown Pointe in October 2018.
My husband and I had a couple top priorities and Ed fit each perfectly: ...
1)Our DJ had to be an excellent emcee for the evening. Ed was instrumental in communicating to our guests and making sure our schedule stayed on time; 2) Our DJ had to be willing to work with us on specific music/genre requests. Ed played our favorite jams all night long and I'm still receiving compliments about our dance floor. Some guests said they didn't even take any pictures because they were too busy dancing their faces off.
If you are getting married and looking for a great DJ and emcee, I highly recommend Ed at Night Owls DJ.
We loved working with Ed at Night Owl DJs! He helped manage the entire reception, which was a great help to us! He has an amazing personality, so cheerful and easy to work with, an...
d played great music. Dancing was super important to us, so we definitely wouldn't recommend Ed unless he did a fantastic job!!
DJ Ed is such a blast!! He was so easy to work with and made our reception flow exactly as we had imagined. He was also so kind and patient when we were in a time-crunch at the end...
. I highly recommend using Night Owl DJ’s for any part of your special day.
AMAZING! Ed was everything we were looking for in a DJ. He listened to what we wanted and gave us just that! He kept the dance floor really engaged and kept our timeline on track....
He was conscientious in making sure everything went right, from pronunciation of names to requested songs! We highly recommend him to anyone needing a DJ. Absolutely fantastic.
We hired Night Owl DJs for our wedding without really knowing what we were hoping for and I can honestly say I'm not entirely sure how we could have gotten through the night withou...
t Ed! He kept everything flowing and on track (which was no easy feat) while providing some really great dancing tunes. He was very attentive to our needs and as soon as we sat down with him on our first meet and greet we knew he was "the one" for us. Very professional and overall amazing experience.
We were originally on the fence about whether we needed a DJ for our wedding. With it being a daytime brunch reception, we didn’t think people would be all that interested in danci...
ng. We’ve been at weddings where the DJ is loud and obnoxious, which we really wanted to avoid. But, we also weren’t sure about putting together our own playlist and didn’t want to ask one of our family members to be in charge of the music. So, we got a few referrals for DJs and decided to see where that led us.
We called Ed first, since he was recommended by our day-of coordinators, and we immediately knew that he would be a great choice. He sounded so perfect that we didn’t even pursue the other DJs! Ed is very professional and experienced, he has all the equipment you could possibly need, and his pricing is fair and reasonable. He listened to all of our ideas and concerns, and did an amazing job. He managed to play music that reflected our taste – soulful oldies, R&B, folk, blues – and when people DID want to dance (much to our surprise!) he kept the party going. Several guests came up to me and complimented us on the music. And, he was periodically checking in with us to see if we, our parents, or our guests needed anything. We couldn’t imagine a better DJ!
Night Owl Djs did a fantastic job djing our reception. He kept the crowd moving and he knew exactly what to play at the right times! Very reasonably priced. We couldn't have picked...
a better do for making our day that much more perfect!!
Ed (Night Owl DJ )is the only DJ in Kentuckian you should consider. He was so professional and did many different jobs! He was a timekeeper, wedding coordinator, and DJ all in one....
You meet with him and he is the person that does your wedding. I honestly can't say enough about how AWESOME he is. He completely kept everything in line, and did an awesome job with coordinating with other vendors. I'm already thinking of other events I can have, just so I can work with him again. I knew if I emailed him, he would respond in a timely fashion, and he was open to phone calls at any time. I didn't feel like I had to chase him down, he answered any questions that I had. He did an amazing job at our wedding, and I can't think of anyone else I would have trusted my big day to. You can't go wrong in hiring Ed!
If you are having a wedding in the Louisville Area you must hire Ed from Night Owl DJs. He is hands down my number 1 favorite vendor that I hired for our September 7th wedding. He ...
is an experienced DJ, down to earth, has great eclectic music taste, listens to you, is patient, offers suggestions but isn't pushy, and will help anyway he can. He always answered all my questions promptly whether by email or phone. He is a super cool dude too, very easy to be around and get along with.
He connected with my wedding day planner, photographer, and caterer in advance to make sure they were all on the same page. He constructed our wedding day time line, HUGE STRESS SAVER, of course with our input. He came to our rehearsal to make sure things ran smoothly and stayed until we felt comfortable with the flow of the ceremony. As for music, he played what we requested and kept to our do not play list.
Day of he emceed the whole thing perfectly and honestly, without him, I don't think it could have ran as smoothly as it did. He did such a great job, several of our guests tried to pay him to keep playing after it was time to go because the dance party was that awesome. We still hear people tell us, our wedding was one of the best and most fun and I give most of the credit to Ed.
I've been to a ton of weddings locally; some had so-so DJs where the music wasn't even memorable and some that where so over the top and intrusive (and played every top 40 song - how unoriginal), you would have thought that wedding was all about them and not the event/couple. Ed was a great mix of the good music, set a great tone and pace for the event, and emceed perfectly. Oh, and he is resonably priced!! Bonus! I can't say enough good things about him and you'll have zero regrets if you hire him!
My husband and I could not be happier with the service we got from Ed Purcell and NightOwl DJs. Not only was he our DJ but I couldn't have pulled this wedding off without his knowl...
edge and organization. Our ceremony and reception were in the same room and he did our music for both. He definately went above and beyond to make our day special and he succeeded. Everything went so smooth and my guests had such a wonderful time thanks to him and the music choices he made at the reception. He's not only a wonderful DJ but an awesome person and you can tell he loves what he does and his energy at my wedding made that obvious. Also, we couldn't find anyone who beat his pricing and I would have paid a lot more with the service I got from Ed.
Ed was awesome. Great dj! I'd recommend him to anyone!

zing time! We met several times before the wedding, just to go over everything and make sure we had everything in order. The DJ really was a very good DJ! I would definitely recommend!
So easy to talk to. Met with me twice to talk about what songs I wanted. Made sure he had everything down that I wanted & didn't want played. Played songs that guests requested...
. (which is surprisingly rare amoung DJ's) Warned me of issues that often occur & set me at ease for the entire time. Kept us on track of cake cutting, bouquet toss, etc. Professionally dressed. Didn't advertise company like most do (that was a no-no on my list). Would recommend to others!
