Vanessa is the best! She did my hair, hair for two bridesmaids, and some styling for my groom. Everyone looked fantastic--unique, stylish, gorgeous. People raved about my hair, and...
I loved it, it was exactly what I wanted. I felt like a 1940s starlet, thanks to Vanessa :)
Vanessa is fun and sweet and professional at all times--a joy to be around. She is exceptional at carefully listening to everything her client wants, adding her stylist expertise, and considering the practicalities of how to execute it perfectly (and make it last for an epic wedding day!)
I had a 'do with 40s wavy curls (down, not up), and I've got straight hair, and the way she styled it managed to keep it in place and perfect through photos/ceremony/serious all night dancing, while looking effortless. Magic!
Vanessa was fantastic in advance--helping me sort out the look as well as the schedule for hair and makeup. She was great when we did the trial run, and great the day of. Even when things were a little behind schedule Vanessa was calm, and made sure everything got done perfectly while making us all calm and happy, too.
She's a professional through and through, with great service and super affordable prices for Chicago. Not only will everything go great hair-wise, but Vanessa is such a pleasure that she will be an awesome addition to your day, and you will be so happy she's there.
Vanessa is the best! I hired her to do my wedding hair for my Chicago conservatory garden wedding. She also did my sister's hair. She is highly professional. The results were beaut...
iful. I've been in many weddings as a bridesmaid in the last three years...and my husband and I had two receptions, not to mention all the parties linked to our wedding, and Vanessa's hair was by far my favorite of all the professional dos that I've had done. Her prices are reasonable; I would say on on the low end, which is awesome! I would hire her again in a second for another special day.
Vanessa styled my hair, plus 3 bridesmaids and my mom, for my wedding at the Art Institute of Chicago. She was an absolute pleasure to work with from the trial, logistical emails a...

As the bride, she listened to exactly what I wanted but then also used her expertise to ensure it was truly a style I would love all night. And I did! Vanessa did a flawless job! My florist provided a flower crown, which Vanessa assisted in styling my hair around, as well as ensuring I could easily take it on and off without my style falling out of place.
For my wedding party, she gave each of my bridesmaids a unique style and was professional and patient as they asked for small tweaks or different ideas. They all looked fantastic! She also did a wonderful job with my mom, taking the time to do something simple but nice for my mom's shorter hair.
Vanessa styled my hair and makeup for my wedding. She did an amazing job. I felt beautiful all day and received so many compliments on my hair and makeup. My wedding party loved th...
eir hair as well. My entire experience working with Vanessa was great. I am very indecisive and didn't know exactly what I wanted my hair or makeup to look like. Vanessa was patient and listened to my ideas during my trial and we were able to try a few possibilities. When I changed my mind about one tiny part of my hairstyle a week later, she offered to do another hair trial just to make sure I was comfortable about my decision.
Aside from her beautiful work, she is also a great person to have in your room on the day of your wedding. The morning of my wedding was a bit crazy with family and friends visiting and the excitement and nerves of everyone, but Vanessa helped to keep me calm until it was time to leave. I was lucky to have her there.
Vanessa did hair and makeup for me and three women in my wedding party and did a fantastic job on all of us. She was quick and efficient and got us all done in time. My hair held u...
p the entire night of the wedding (a feat for my thin hair) and everyone looked beautiful.
She captured the vintage look that matched my dress and the venue, and really made me feel like the bride I wanted to be!

dding day - all thanks to Vanessa!
Vanessa is a dream to work with. She came to my home to do my trial, which was so convenient. I did not have very many ideas/visions for my hair nor my makeup, and she really helped draw ideas out of me and made me part of the creative process while never once making me feel inadequate about my lack of beauty knowledge. She has so many great ideas that I knew I was in great hands!
On the day of the wedding, she was completely laid back and fun at the hotel, making it a treat for myself and my bridesmaids to get ready. Vanessa did hair for two bridesmaids and makeup for one - everyone was thrilled with the results.
Vanessa is fantastic to work with. Sweet, punctual, conscientious, creative, and most importantly - beautiful results. I highly recommend her!
Vanessa is wonderful! She is a true artist and can really turn your concept a reality. I found her both professional and personable.

2 wedding on a rainy day and not only did it last the entire day/night, it looked flawless the entire time.
I recommend her to all my friends and now to you!
Vanessa did hair and makeup for myself, my sister, and my mother for my June wedding. She was a joy to work with, really relaxed and a great attitude throughout the whole process. ...
I had her come to the hotel where I was getting ready and she was on time and well prepared. What really impressed me was her attention to detail and really wanting to get the look perfect, not only from her perspective (what she thinks would look good) but also from my perspective. I met with her two times before the wedding for hair and makeup trials and she really listened to what I wanted while guiding my ideas with her knowledge of both hair and makeup. I had done trials with other hair and makeup artists before I went to Vanessa, and none of them came close to her desire to make you feel both beautiful and comfortable (something others overlook by thinking everyone is used to the same amount of makeup and hair products - which I definitely wasn't as I don’t wear a lot normally). I would highly recommend her!! Thank you Vanessa!
Oh...my...gosh!!! Vanessa was amazing! She did my hair and makeup for my Grand Rapids wedding in May. I wanted a classic 1920's look...complete with the fingerwaved updo,dramati...
c lashes and sexy pout. She made the idea in my head come to life with all the poise in the world. She was calm, cool, and collected even while I was freaking out about a few wedding day disasters that were happening simultaneously.
I got so many compliments on the look that Vanessa mastered...guests said I looked like a 20's movie star! I was worried about my red lips thinking they would be super high maintenance as the night went on. The makeup Vanessa used was incredible! I think i touched up lips once, and got a number of comments about how incredible my makeup still looked at midnight!
I highly recommend Vanessa for all of your hair and makeup needs for whatever special day lay ahead. She is really patient, listens to what your vision is, and works hard to put your idea into action. She's also a perfectionist which is what you always want in an artist! Thanks so much Vanessa!!!

d for my wedding day. I felt beautiful! She and a partner also did the hair for my bridesmaids and Mom. Everyone looked great. I would highly recommend her services.

willing to work with each individual to make sure that they loved they way they looked. I appreciated the special attention she paid to me for my wedding. She worked hard to make my look for my wedding special and different from my make up for my sister's wedding. She was so fun to work with and did a great job!

ectacular in working hair miracles for us, listening to what each individual wanted and executing our visions perfectly. I was so appreciative of Vanessa's calming presence throughout all of the busyness of our preparations--she is such a kind, sweet, and cheerful person. I feel so lucky to have discovered her in my wedding vendor search, and I couldn't sing her praises more!
