Vanessa is fun and sweet and professional at all times--a joy to be around. She is exceptional at carefully listening to everything her client wants, adding her stylist expertise, and considering the practicalities of how to execute it perfectly (and make it last for an epic wedding day!)
I had a 'do with 40s wavy curls (down, not up), and I've got straight hair, and the way she styled it managed to keep it in place and perfect through photos/ceremony/serious all night dancing, while looking effortless. Magic!
Vanessa was fantastic in advance--helping me sort out the look as well as the schedule for hair and makeup. She was great when we did the trial run, and great the day of. Even when things were a little behind schedule Vanessa was calm, and made sure everything got done perfectly while making us all calm and happy, too.

I've been in many weddings as a bridesmaid in the last three years...and my husband and I had two receptions, not to mention all the parties linked to our wedding, and Vanessa's hair was by far my favorite of all the professional dos that I've had done. As the bride, she listened to exactly what I wanted but then also used her expertise to ensure it was truly a style I would love all night. And I did! Vanessa did a flawless job! My florist provided a flower crown, which Vanessa assisted in styling my hair around, as well as ensuring I could easily take it on and off without my style falling out of place.
For my wedding party, she gave each of my bridesmaids a unique style and was professional and patient as they asked for small tweaks or different ideas. They all looked fantastic! She also did a wonderful job with my mom, taking the time to do something simple but nice for my mom's shorter hair.

Vanessa was patient and listened to my ideas during my trial and we were able to try a few possibilities. When I changed my mind about one tiny part of my hairstyle a week later, she offered to do another hair trial just to make sure I was comfortable about my decision.
Aside from her beautiful work, she is also a great person to have in your room on the day of your wedding. The morning of my wedding was a bit crazy with family and friends visiting and the excitement and nerves of everyone, but Vanessa helped to keep me calm until it was time to leave. Vanessa is a dream to work with. She came to my home to do my trial, which was so convenient. I did not have very many ideas/visions for my hair nor my makeup, and she really helped draw ideas out of me and made me part of the creative process while never once making me feel inadequate about my lack of beauty knowledge. She has so many great ideas that I knew I was in great hands!
On the day of the wedding, she was completely laid back and fun at the hotel, making it a treat for myself and my bridesmaids to get ready. Vanessa did hair for two bridesmaids and makeup for one - everyone was thrilled with the results.

I had her come to the hotel where I was getting ready and she was on time and well prepared. What really impressed me was her attention to detail and really wanting to get the look perfect, not only from her perspective (what she thinks would look good) but also from my perspective. I met with her two times before the wedding for hair and makeup trials and she really listened to what I wanted while guiding my ideas with her knowledge of both hair and makeup. I had done trials with other hair and makeup artists before I went to Vanessa, and none of them came close to her desire to make you feel both beautiful and comfortable (something others overlook by thinking everyone is used to the same amount of makeup and hair products - which I definitely wasn't as I don’t wear a lot normally). I got so many compliments on the look that Vanessa mastered...guests said I looked like a 20's movie star! I was worried about my red lips thinking they would be super high maintenance as the night went on. The makeup Vanessa used was incredible! I think i touched up lips once, and got a number of comments about how incredible my makeup still looked at midnight!
