NightLife Band

The NightLife band was simply fantastic! They performed at our wedding and perfectly complemented every part of our night. From playing accompaniment to our cocktail hour or keeping our dance floor lively for hours, they were exceptional! They were organized before the wedding and were proactive in learning and brainstorming how they could support our big night. On the night itself they were phenomenal, and many of our guests shared how much fun they had with the band. They were and integral part of our special day and we are so grateful they performed at our wedding celebration!

This band WILL work with you to pick the right music, pace the event for cocktail party music, dinner music, and get everyone dancing. All of the musicians are professional, talented and fun. Shelli and the band are high energy. Our event was a huge success and Nightlife made it spectacular!

Wow-Shelli & Will brought sunshine and rocked it out at Freedom Hill Horse Rescue's 6th Annual Spirits and Steeds festival despite the rainy day. The music selection is impeccable. People were dancing & singing in the rain. Shelli is so accommodating and flexible and the absolute best to work with. Will had a smile on his face the entire day & the nicest guy ever.

We had NightLife Band at our recent fundraiser. Working with Shelli was a great experience from start to finish. Shelli was always very accommodating as we modified the vision of our event. She was always available to answer questions, and relayed all of our event details to Kurt, or DJ extraordinaire. The night of our event, Kurt was phenomenal! His music selection was appropriate to the event, and he was always willing to make announcements helping us to keep the evening running smoothly. This band was the best!!! They were organized and helped tremendously during the planning stages. My daughter wanted her wedding to happen in three months and this band’s attention to detail and desire to make the event just what my daughter wanted made the night perfect! I cannot speak highly enough of Shelli and the band. First, just in the planning of our timeline and working in a few special surprises, to working through things with our venue and special audio/ video was incredibly helpful. She also lined up a string duo for our ceremony and cocktail hour, which were also amazing!! During our reception, they kept things moving, kept the guests excited, energized and ON THE DANCE FLOOR. We had so much fun!!! Our guests loved that we had live music and Nightlife Band did not disappoint. My new husband insisted and I'm so glad he did and he found them too!! The Humane Society of Calvert County had Shelli and her fantastic band play for our biggest fundraiser of the year, and they sure did not disappoint! Shelli and her band are so professional and courteous and go to great lengths to ensure customer satisfaction. They are engaging with the audience, can play all types of music and Shelli is a fantastic singer and her band will rock the house! They keep the crowd on their feet wanting more! Everyone that attended complimented on our band choice and many wanted their contact information. We will have another big fundraiser in 2024 and Nightlife will be our choice for entertainment without a doubt.

My company had a cocktail recpetion at the Icelandic Ambassador's residence and Kurt & Shelli were fantastic! Great selection of songs, high energy & very accomodating. Everyone was talking about it the next morning and made everyone jealous who wasn't able to attend :)

Nightlife is the only band I would ever hire. My 60th birthday celebration was a big hit thanks to them. We have been at many events for CF, our sons wedding and now my party that Nightlife has performed and they are hands down the best band around.

I cannot say enough good things about Shelli and NightLife! Firstly, my husband and I were one of the couples caught up in the spring 2020 wedding postponements and ended up having to postpone our wedding multiple times. Shelli was unbelievably empathetic and understanding each time and remained incredibly communicative. I so appreciated her check-ins and kind words throughout this process. She was also so flexible--we had worked out a timeline ahead of time, but of course things come up and shift in the moment--and Shelli (and team!) adapted like an absolute pro every time. An absolute pleasure to work with. And NightLife's actual performance was outstanding! NightLife is an incredibly high-energy band with a fantastic music selection, incredible performances, and fun dance moves! Our guests were absolutely raving the entire night about how amazing they were, commenting that they were the best band they'd ever seen at a wedding. I'd have to agree! The music performances were incredible, but it was evident that they were having a great time, which was infectious! We feel so, so lucky that Shelli and NightLife were able to be a part of our celebration--even after 3 years of postponements! I have to agree with our guests that they're the best wedding band around. If you're thinking about hiring them for your event--DO IT! You absolutely will not regret it.

NiteLife is the most high energy band and working with Shelli was amazing. Our wedding reception was over the moon, we are still in awe at the event. Everyone was on the dance floor!! Shelli works with the event planner and organized the entire evening. Best band and event on this scale for our guests.

My wife and I could not have been happier with having the Nightlife Band play at our wedding. Shelli was awesome to work with and was able to give my wife and I everything we asked for. My wife and I were so thrilled to have The NightLife band at our wedding! Shelli was such a pleasure to work with leading up to the wedding. She was very helpful in picking songs that would be great for a wedding when we were looking for suggestions. The night of the wedding was unforgettable and we received so many compliments from guests saying it was the best wedding they've been to. They played all the songs/genres we requested and were very high energy! Shelli would dance with the guests and lead the group dances to keep everyone in sync. She was awesome! One thing that I was concerned about hiring a live band was them being too loud and not being able to talk with all our friends and family that we haven't seen in years, but that was not an issue at all. The volume was perfect the whole night. I highly recommend hiring these guys! They are pros through and through! We had a beautiful, memorable wedding and couldn't have asked for a better wedding band.

We had NightLife play at our wedding and they were so fun! They knew exactly what to play to have everybody on their feet dancing. There was such a variety of music that every age group was dancing, we are 22 and our 70+ year old grandparents were dancing as hard as we were! I never expected my husband to spend the entire night on the dance floor, but we were just having too much fun. 100% would recommend if you want to have a fun and energetic wedding.

We hired NightLife Band for our daughter’s May 2020 wedding which was ultimately postponed until May 8, 2021. Wow, was it worth the wait! My daughter recently married 10/10/2020! The NightLife Band completed the beautiful day. All of our guests enjoyed the upbeat great dancing music. I booked Shelli and The Nightlife Band for a black tie chairs Gala I co-chaired (Feb 2020). They were phenomenal! The booking process was simple, great communication leading up to the event and the guests loved their energy. This was a veterans gala and Shelli needed to also sing the National Anthem, she did so flawlessly. This event happens annually and I have never seen so much dancing before. Would 100% work with them again.

Night Life played for our 20th anniversary party and everyone loved them. They started off nice and easy while guests mingled and ate. When it was time to start dancing, they kicked it off with some Bruno Mars. The band is amazing with everyone being so talented. People I would have never expected to get up and dance did! They were a huge part of making it a memorable occasion for all in attendance.

We had The band play for our 25th Anniversary . They did an excellent job setting up and working with the venue and an agenda was planned and emailed over ahead of time. Shelli worked with us to prepare a song list. They have a wide variety of choices from many decades to modern pop, rock etc. We wanted to include some Bollywood songs and they were able to do it via the system. The energy was amazing and we had people on the dance floor the ENTIRE time! We has positive comments from guests and the band helped make this a very memorable occasion..

Night Life Band was the Entertainment for the evening on Thursday, October 31, 2019 that I hosted for Seniors 55 years and older! Shelli, Scott, and Kurt were the hit of the party! The guest came in full costumes and so did every member in the Band! The selection of music was oldie but goodies and when the band took a short break Kurt put on Thriller, The Freaks Come Out at Night, Ghost Busters and a few other Fun Halloween Songs... The crowd went Silly Crazy!! What we all enjoyed most about the NightLife Band is their high energy and how they interacted with the crowd! Kurt is a one man musical genius with every instrument sound you would want to hear! Shelli and Scott sang with the guest and even allowed me to Dance and sing with them on several up beat songs. By the end of the evening I realized I had just spent the evening with 3 new friends and I even told Kurt after we found out Both of us were Born and Raised in the original DC area that he was my new Brother from another Mother!! lol If you are looking for a Band to party all night with the exact same energy that they start with, then NightLife Band is the one you Gotta Choose for All types of occasions and that is the Truth!! NightLife truly MADE our wedding reception. They were so engergetic and got everyone dancing on their feet. The vibe they helped create was incredible and guests were raving how great they were. Getting a good band was one of our most important elements of our wedding and they did not dissapoint. Not to mention every band member, espeically Shelli, is the sweetest! NightLife Band was incredible!! We went to see them in DC and loved them so much. Hired them for our daughter's wedding in Ellicott City on October 12th 2019. Our guests haven't stopped talking about them!! The band leader, Shelli, has enormous energy, so organized, was a pleasure to work with, and was able to fulfill all our requests. We are so happy we chose Nightlife as our wedding band! They were very professional, were great with helping us develop a timeline of the wedding reception, and of course were wonderful musicians/performers! The process starts when Shelli, the lead singer and band leader, sending out a questionnaire of how we want the day to go, what songs we want to play, and any other detail we can think of musically. Shelli will take all of our answers, and make suggestions based on our tastes and if we wanted it to be a food focused event or dancing focused event. The suggestions really helped make sure we got everything out of the band, and make sure we made use of our time. Shelli even provided up lighting that really accented our reception room. It was evident they had A LOT of experience playing at weddings! Having a very experienced band be essentially in charge of the flow of the wedding reception allowed us to completely relax and enjoy our perfect day. We have received numerous compliments about our band and 3 months later our guests are still raving about Nightlife! The music was everything we could have hoped for and more. All of their musicians were fantastic and very friendly. They played everything we asked them too and more…it was really amazing! If we were to plan our wedding all over again we would 100% hire Nightlife again. We recommend them to all of our family and friends!

If you are looking for live entertainment for your wedding, look no further. Nightlife is the best live band for any event that will keep your dance floor packed all night long. They play a wide variety of music that is tailored to your preferences that will also appeal to all ages at your event. Their energy on stage is unmatched and is not only great to dance to but to watch and listen as they choreograph moves to many of their songs. Shelli was awesome and easy to work with allowing us to customize our musical preferences, use pre-recorded music for some of our first dances as they were choreographed to original score as well as performing some of the tunes as well. There is the perfect blend of energetic and slow songs, to allow all guests to enjoy the dance floor. If you are also looking for ceremony music as well, Nightlife works with String Poets to provide string music. They also will provide sound support for your ceremony as well if needed as an add on option. We have been to multiple events where Nightlife has performed, and every single time is awesome! We knew that we could put our trust in them for our big day in June 2019. Many wedding guests continue to rave about the music from our wedding to this day 3 months later. They made a lasting impression and can’t wait to dance to their music soon!

EXCEPTIONAL!!! Night Life recently performed at our 40th. High School Reunion. We could not have asked for a better performance. The energy in the Venue was driven by this fantastic band. It wasn't a wedding but over 300 people joined us for "Shelter Showdown" to benefit the Animal Care Shelter for Kent County (aka Humane Society) and NightLife Band was a major highlight. The dance floor was never empty and post-event comments were plentiful. As with most event plans hic cups happen and we were no exception … Shelli and band members were extremely accommodating and flexible to solve some early evening challenges … a TERIFFIC BAND!

We've had NightLife at our annual corporate party for over 15 years. They are the best and Shelly is amazing! Our guests tell us every year they love the band and they make the party!

If I could give the NightLife Band 100 stars, I would! We have followed NightLife for several years but only recently hired them for a surprise retirement party for my husband, and they did not disappoint, no surprise! Shelli's constant energy makes it difficult to stay in your seat, and her voice is beyond fabulous! Kurt's saxophone playing is out of this world great, not to mention he has a great connection with Shelli on stage! There are not enough words to describe how phenomenal they truly are!

They helped get together our timeline of events for the entire day, played strings for our ceremony and cocktail hour, and finished the night off at the reception without a hitch! We did not realize what an overall impact they would have on the event from start to finish, the scheduling of the event , additional musical and musician requirements for the ceremony and cocktail reception were arranged and handled perfectly. This band is LEGIT. It has been over a month since our wedding and our guests are still raving about the band! Shelli was amazing at scheduling from the first time we reached out to her last November. Her responsiveness and calm demeanor were a welcome addition to our wedding planning. She made our day stress-free because she was on top of keeping the event on schedule! My wife and I will always remember our wedding day, in large part due to how much fun we had on the dance floor because of NightLife!

NightLife is the ultimate wedding band. From our first interactions, Shelli was warm and accommodating, flexible and just lovely to deal with. Having seen the band live many times, their performance at the wedding still managed to blow away our expectations. Shelli talked to us multiple times before the wedding to make sure everything was just the way we wanted. In reality we ended up relying heavily on their musical and crowd pleasing genius. The band can do everything, from the keyboard performance during the cocktail hour, the fabulous saxophone performance and of course the unbelievable vocals has our guests still talking. The dance floor was packed from the beginning to end. We could not recommend NightLife more highly and look forward to going to many more of their performances in the future.

We got married on September 2nd at Turf Valley Resort. My in-laws generously offered to hire a band for our wedding. We viewed a few bands before seeing NightLife and honestly nothing compared. To start with, during our vendor selection process, Shelli invited my husband and I to see the band perform at an event, they were great! Needless to say, we signed a contract that week! Shelli was amazing to plan with—she quickly answered emails, listened to all our requests and concerns, and was very detail oriented. In addition to emails, she scheduled a few phone calls with my husband and I to help us plan our event from making a timeline for our wedding, helping us select a father daughter song, and making sure she knew the correct pronunciations of our bridal party. Spoiler alert: we were still extremely impressed and looking forward to our big day! NightLife made our wedding amazing—Shelli was respectful and quick on her feet, she organized our rowdy bridal party for intros, she got a family member to move his electric scooter in front of the cake table before the cake cutting so it wouldn’t be in pictures, and NightLife brought the party. Basically no one old or young was sitting all night when the band was playing! I am from New Jersey and many of my family members are from New York. I should preface this by saying that people from up North do not think you can get quality entertainment once you leave the Tri-State area. Well, after my wedding ALL my family and friends were telling me how impressed they were by NightLife. One friend even said that my Maryland wedding was like a New York wedding because of the band. NightLife is an amazing band for anyone who is looking to have amazing entertainment and wants to work with real professionals who will help you with planning every detail of your event! We have no complaints and we would recommend NightLife enthusiastically to everyone!

From the 1st song to the last Nightlife was pure entertainment. Kept the dance floor moving all night and the interaction with the audience was wonderful!!! Could not have asked for a better band(used full bands/horns) to perform at our daughters wedding. The also set up all of our uplights which made for a fantastic atmosphere. Book them you won’t be sorry !!

Hiring the NightLife band was one of the best decisions we made during our wedding planning. My parents wanted a live band for the wedding. When I saw all the great reviews I booked them right away. Shelli was amazing to work with. The band learned our wedding song which was very special. We did the full band for our June 23rd wedding. People are still talking about how great they are. We had people on dance floor all night. I hope I have another opportunity to hire the NightLife band.

If you are looking for a band to provide non-stop, energy-packed entertainment for your big day, then Nightlife Band is the way to go! Shelli and her team worked with us on every detail from the second we booked them up until our wedding day. They contracted our string quartet, worked with us on editing a track for our ‘flash-mob,’ and made it a point to learn certain special songs that we hoped would be performed live. Shelli commutated openly with our day-of coordinator to make sure timelines were precise, and worked with us to get us everything that we hoped for on a reasonable budget. When it came to the big day, Shelli and her team were phenomenal! The energy that they brought to our reception was electric! Our family and friends love to dance, so anything but top of the line nightlife entertainment would NOT have worked. Nightlife Band was JUST THAT! They kept everyone dancing until the end of the night, and had us begging for more. Their song selection was incredibly eclectic and included everything from classic hits to today’s top 40! Thank you, Nightlife Band for making both our ceremony and reception more incredible than we could have ever imagined!

NightLife was fantastic! Very entertaining and sounded great! Played a wide variety of music, something for everyone at our event. Everyone was asking for the name of the band. I would not hesitate to hire them again.

If you’re looking for amazing (i.e. the BEST) live entertainment to play at your wedding or next event, then this is THE band to book! You will most definitely not be disappointed. We hired the full band to play at our wedding reception on 4/21/18 and our guests are still talking about how awesome they were! Anyone planning a wedding knows how many details need to be taken care of; especially if you’re doing it all yourself like we did. The week before the wedding, my brother asked me to send him our song “playlist.” I just laughed and said, “We don’t need a playlist because we hired THIS band.” Nightlife gave us the confidence that they would bring the energy and feeling that “we’re all going to have a really great time at our wedding.” We never doubted that feeling for a second, because Shelli, the band leader, is so cool to work with. She totally puts you at ease and makes sure the final details are all in place for a great party! And, how nice it felt to not have to worry about things like picking out what songs to play at your reception. Yes, they will work with you to make sure you hear what you want to hear, but to have that kind of trust that they will handle everything because they know what they are doing is such a relief to an already stressed out bride! Shelli was a master at helping us organize not only our reception details, but also injecting energy into the reception itself! From start to finish, people were up and dancing, which is such a testament to Nightlife's talent and showmanship. The sax player is a great rapper, who knew?! We'd certainly recommend Nightlife to everyone who's looking for a very professional, organized, and talented band for their wedding.

We are sooo happy we were able to schedule the night life to play at our wedding!!! We had seen them play at 3 other weddings and they blew us away. At the third wedding we attended, members of our family were also there as guests and before the night was over they insisted we reach out to the band to schedule them for our upcoming wedding. Luckily, it worked out perfectly! Shelli was very nice to work with - she was very accommodating of our special requests and also gave us helpful recommendations. They traveled from D.C. to central Pennsylvania, worked well with our venue in advance to ensure day-of set up went smoothly, and also collaborated with our cousin who provided the lighting and other audio equipment. Our guests were blown away by their vocals, dance moves and overall performance! They will forever be in our memories of our special day! We would recommend them to anyone and everyone!

Nightlife did such a great job at our wedding!! I can’t say enough good things about them. We received so many compliments from guests about how fun Nightlife was, how engaged they were, and what a good time folks were having because of the band. One word....AMAZING! The day after the wedding, we were trying to figture out a new party when we could get Shelli and the crew back. They played every song we wanted, got people dancing and even humored my aunt who is a nun, when she wanted to sing and dance with the band. Everyone had a great time and danced from beginning to end. However, most importantly, they were very professional and accomodating. We held our event at a small, intimate venue that was not accumosted to doing weddings. Shelli worked with the proprietors to ensure they were comfortable with the band's set up while meeting our vision for the evening. If you are thinking about hiring them, don't think twice. This is one wedding decision that is easy to make.

Nightlife was the LIFE of the party! Not only was communication before our wedding seamless with Shelli but they really understood exactly what we were looking for. It was important for us that everyone attending our wedding (ages 18-80) was on the dance floor at all times and they certainly kept the party going into the night. If it's the best reception you want for your wedding or the best music for whatever the event may be NightLife is the band you want. I first heard them at a wedding reception about 10 years ago and could literally not keep dancing because I was so mesmerized watching Shelli and Kim sing and "bust their moves!" All it takes is their first song and your guests will be on the dance floor. So, last year when my son and his now bride said they wanted NightLife to play at their reception I was ECSTATIC!!!!! I have always felt music can make or break your event and our night was absolutely amazing and NightLife helped to make it amazing. Not to mention all of the help from Shelli all of the weeks leading up the the wedding. Thank you NightLife!!

Have received nothing but rave remarks on your performance, the dance floor was actually bouncing. And a special thanks for our special request, "Evergreen". It brought back fond memories for Jo and I of our wedding nearly 37 years ago. Love ya, and see you soon.

No exaggeration, this was the best money I've ever spent. I would give 100 stars if I could. I love to dance, and used to hit dance clubs every week in my teens and twenties (for reference: that was in the mid-90's to late 00's, and I love pop, hiphop, funk, reggaeton, world music - anything with a beat). So I really wanted a packed dance floor at our reception, but wasn't sure we could/should spend so much on a band. As the date got closer, I couldn't resist and decided to check into it. I think we contacted JJ&T Entertainment only 6 weeks before the wedding! We sent a list of some of our favorite artists to give an idea of our music preferences, and they quickly replied with several options. All of the bands they sent us looked cool, but we were most impressed by Nightlife's very professional video. They seemed high-energy without being too cheesy, and their video showed they could do a wide range of styles of music. Nightlife turned out to be AMAZING. It was cold, rainy and muddy, plus there was a bad generator cord so the power kept flickering in the tent. But they were such pros that they saved the whole evening. After the ceremony, we went into the house for family photos - and I was worried because the weather had slowed down the caterers and appetizers hadn't been served yet. But when I peeked outside, I was surprised to see the tent was already rocking - Nightlife had everyone jumping around. This band is so engaging!! They came out and mingled with everyone and kept the energy high. The kids loved them - one 9-year old guest was entranced by the singers and copying their dance moves, and next thing I knew they had her up on stage with them! We had a wide range of guests - blue-collar folks, teachers, lawyers, millenials, Gen Xers, boomers, and grandmas in their 80's - and they were all bopping around. My shy relatives, who answered their invites with "I'll come as long as you don't make me dance," were grooving all night. Even my groom's Southern Baptist cousins got on the floor! (I should also mention that the band kept a good eye on the crowd... when the grandmas went to bed and the college friends brought out the jello shots, the music shifted accordingly). When the band took a well-deserved break, they put on a bunch of artists we had mentioned we liked - I think they'd created a custom playlist of recordings for us! We had lots of changes to the schedule due to the weather: we had to cancel the end-of-the-night bonfire, and everything was running an hour behind. And because the wedding was on the same date as the March for Science, we did a "wedding march for science" thing that we didn't really explain to the band in advance. But the musicians rolled with all the craziness seamlessly and cheerfully! Throughout the night, everyone kept saying, "Where did you find this band?" By the end of the night, they were saying, "Best wedding EVER!!" And I don't think they were doing this just to flatter us, either - many folks stayed much later than expected, and got hotel rooms instead of driving home as planned. It was a FANTASTIC experience overall. I am just hoping that my newly engaged friend will hire Nightlife so I can dance my tail off again soon!

Once again The NightLife Band provided the music for our annual Valentine's Gala Fundraiser at the Columbia Sheraton Hotel. They are a crowd favorite at this event, providing softer music during dinner followed by two wonderful dance sets. We usualy have the 4-piece band that produces a full sound and puts on a great show. We have a wide varienty of ages at our event and everyone has a good time. The dance floor is packed the entire evening. I coordinate this event and I find the band leaders to be extremely accommodating and easy to work with. We definitely plan to have them back again next year.

What most impresses me about NightLife Band is their professionalism. They're not only fun - and make your event fun - they truly care about giving you exactly want you want. Shelli really listens to you! The band not only provides music and entertainment that perfectly match your event, they ensure they provide everything you need to personalize the event to make it what you want it to be. We have hired Shelli and the Nightlife Band on more than one occasion. We would consider no other! They are so flexible, so easy to work with, and really get the party going! They can cater to any theme and any group of people. Great voices AND great entertainers! I cannot speak highly enough of Shelli and the rest of Nightlife. Super easy to work with but even more importantly is Shelli's high energy performance and the variety of the music played. We just had Nightlife play for our daughter's wedding and I couldn't be happier! Shelli really gets guests of all ages up and dancing! Our wedding venue owner even got up to join the fun! Nightlife is the most amazing band- for any event, especially weddings! For my wedding finding the right band was really important and I did a lot of research to not only see bands perform ahead of time, but I thoroughly watched band videos, and read all the reviews. Even before we hired Nightlife I went to check them out at a performance and I was blown away because Shelli was in the middle of the dance floor with everyone else at the event! She was the exact same way at our wedding- singing and dancing with everyone in the crowd. Thee Sax player Kurt came into the crowd to join us and get down, and one of the other members of the band was so sweet and talked with us at the head table. They are the most fun and energetic band that you could ever ask for and not only that but they are true musical artists.My wedding guests told me repeatedly during and after the wedding was how incredible Nightlife was- I had so many people ask me for their name. One of the biggest compliments was that Nightlife sounded so professional- they aren't just a "wedding band" they are true artists that are able to play all your favorite songs and sound exactly like the original songs. I loved that they can do all kinds of music- from the oldies, to the most current hits. More than anything what I love about Nightlife and Shelli is that they really enjoy their work and it's so much fun having them at your wedding. A lot of the other bands I looked at seemed to be doing it just as a job and almost seemed bored- but not Nightlife- they love what they do and it shows. I'm so grateful to Shelli and the entire band for the incredible performance and fun they showed us. They made our night the best night of our lives.
