Based in Grand Rapids. I feel so incredibly lucky that I get to do this for a living. More than capturing those big moments like walking down the aisle or dad’s emotional dinner toast, I get to tell your love story! How did you and your fiancé meet? How did you fall in love? What led us to to this beautiful wedding day? I love answering all these questions with an emotional and cinematic wedding video.
Audio is JUST as important to me as video. Whether I take the audio from your personal vows, the speeches from your best man or maid of honor or even possibly a sit-down interview with you and your partner on the wedding day, capturing clean and crisp audio really helps tell the story and elevates the film to another level.
I love collaborating with photographers on the day to set up the most beautiful and amazing poses possible — but, to me, my biggest job is capturing candid moments. Those little moments that are so fleeting — whether it be a small piece of advice your parents give you right before the ceremony or dancing with your nieces/nephews on the dancefloor — and I want to be there to capture those memories so that they live on forever. With my state-of-the-art video and audio gear and years of working in the film/TV industry, I am so passionate about delivering you a top-of-the-line wedding film that will live on for generations — your children and grandchildren will forever be able to look back on what a beautiful wedding you had.

A little bit about me:
I started filming weddings in 2015 but did not go full time until 2021 when I founded Nights and Nostalgia, LLC. This work has been such a thrill and I’m so happy to bring joy to other people through my work. I’m a certified drone pilot too so, weather and venue permitting, I should be able to fly a drone on your wedding day!
I absolutely love music and it’s a huge part of my life — and my wedding films of course. I’ve been to countless concerts at this point and it’s usually where a lot of my disposable income ends up — haha! I am also an absolute master of karaoke. Ask me about my favorite karaoke songs to do — and tell me your’s! I have an amazing circle of family and friends that has helped me so much along this journey. I love meeting new people and I feel like one of my biggest strengths is developing relationships quickly with people on a wedding day — which really helps people open up and get comfortable with being on camera. I truly want to be one of the biggest and best wedding videographers in the world.

Dylan was the most professional, knowledgeable, creative, top-notch videographer I could have asked for. He was punctual and accommodated my every need. I did months of research before I choose a videographer for my wedding and everything Dylan advertised was absolutely what he delivered. He showed up early to the venue, set up his state of the art equipment and lights. He was extremely helpful, patient and helped me stay on the timeline. He was also very cordial with the photographer. I would recommend Dylan to every bride and groom who is considering having a video made for there wedding, I PROMISE you will not be disappointed.
Dylan was amazing!! He’s so fun to be around, so it was a joy having him around on our wedding day. He has an excellent creative eye, and he made us such a beautiful wedding video! I watch it often, and it always makes me cry sweet, happy tears. Couldn’t recommend him enough!!
Dylan provided us an incredibly exceptional experience as a videographer. His all day coverage (not limited hours) and drone footage at no additional cost are unparalleled service in this industry. Dylan is a phenomenal videographer! He has such a good eye for detail and captured our big day perfectly. He really takes the time to understand your vision and you two as a couple. From there he somehow puts together a piece that is so unique and beautiful that you can’t quite put it in words — I’m convinced it’s magic 😊 he also worked really well with our photographer so they were not competing for our time but instead took the opportunity to get come of the moments where we were laughing together in between poses, etc. that made for some really great shots. 10/10 recommend.
I found Dylan on accident, but it was the best accident ever! Dylan is an amazing videographer. He gave me the perfect video to remember my perfect day! He is amazing to work with as well, he is professional and fun at the same time. He worked with me and all of the members of my bridal party and made all of us feel comfortable. The effort and time that he takes to put into the video shows that he cares about his work and takes pride in it, as he should! He picked out shots that I never saw on my wedding day and I am now able to see that day over and over again! If you are on the fence about hiring a videographer, DO IT! and pick Nights and Nostalgia to work with! You will not regret it! I cannot say enough great things about Dylan and would easily chose him over and over again!

Dylan was extremely organized from the beginning. I felt that he really took the time to understand our vision for the video and captured the most important parts of our day, then pieced them together beautifully. On the day of, he was prompt and organized, helped keep us on schedule, and worked well with our other vendors (photographer, coordinators, etc.)
We are so appreciative to have these beautiful videos to look back on for years to come!

Dylan at Nights and Nostalgia perfectly captured our big day! Throughout the planning process Dylan was responsive and detail oriented, being sure to understand everything that was important to us on our big day. This care and expertise was evident in the finished product! Dylan perfectly captured our story as a couple while also giving a snap shot of each part of our day. His editing style was natural and perfectly curated. We could not have been happier with our finished product and the choice we made to have Dylan capture our most special day!
Dylan of Nights and Nostalgia was the best choice we made for our wedding day! My wife and I were so concerned (and particular) about the quality and style of our wedding video, and he completely exceeded what we thought were high expectations. He provided high quality audio of the ceremony and speeches combined with beautiful shots from multiple angles (including drone), and edited and crafted our video into what has become our favorite way to remember our wedding day. In our search for a videographer, we had watched so many videos from other videographers who strung together disconnected clips from each section of the day and a bunch of slow-motion shots from the reception to fill time, and then we watched Dylan's videos and it felt like a revelation. We are so grateful to have had Dylan shoot our wedding, and anyone else would be too.

Dylan was so amazing! I couldn’t recommend him enough! He was very kind, understanding, easy to work with, and extremely talented! He truly went above and beyond to make sure my husband and I were satisfied and had everything we wanted! The video quality was also amazing! It took our breath away! Our family and friends couldn’t stop raving about it once they saw them! I highly recommend doing a highlight and a 8-10 minute! Its 100 percent worth the price, he will capture a memory so beautifully that you’ll be able to have forever! A short film to highlight the best parts of the night and the longer video to see more details of the day! We also chose to have our ceremony and speeches filmed! Those videos were also great quality and captured so well! He had multiple different angles to make sure he always caught the best moments! Dylan and his work is the best!

I could not recommend Dylan enough. He made the most beautiful and authentic wedding video for us. Our celebration in July was unique in the fact that my mom had passed a year prior, so it was raw, emotional, and so so special. Dylan made sure to capture that emotion and the details that mattered most. I can honestly say that we will forever cherish the video and the memories that he captured.

I've been filming weddings since 2015 and decided to officially start my business in 2021. I love music and going to concerts and music festivals. I actually write and produce my own original music too! I've worked on several TV/Film productions for Netflix, NBC, MTV and dozens more. Oh... and I'm absolutely amazing at karaoke.
