as so excited when I found out she was a photographer. I think that she ended up being the second vendor we booked! We were engaged for a long time and she was super patient, kind and helpful throughout the entire planning process. She managed our HUGE family and long list of photos with a smile on her face! Everything on the wedding day was executed perfectly. She was on time, ready to work and adapting to our crazy day of schedule. She knew exactly what was going on and made you feel so relaxed - despite the 10,000 things running through your head! She delivered us 30 photos 4 hours after our reception ended! I couldn't believe what was in front of our eyes, she captured our love perfectly. Not only did we get pics the day of, but she had our entire wedding album to us in less than 3 weeks! Wedding planning and picking the right vendors is stressful, especially your photographer, because these are images you will look back on for the rest of your life and a way to remember a day that you spent so much time putting together. For us, Nikki was an easy choice, her style was just what we were looking, she’s fun, easy going and offered packages that included an engagement shoot, extended time, option to add a second shooter, ect…! For our engagement shoot we wanted to do the monuments in DC, we just assumed the Washington and Lincoln would be the best but she suggested the Jefferson so we took her advice and those are the pictures we love the most!! She made jokes to lighten the mood as neither of us are accustomed to getting professional photos taken but she helped coach us as to not feel staged and to get the best images. She was able to turn around a few images within a few hours and the full gallery in less then a week!! We used these for the save the dates and the website, one is still the background on my phone that I get endless complements on! We had a longer engagement, about a year and half, but Nikki went above and beyond making sure to keep in touch. She would check in to see how we were doing with planning, offer advice and recommendation for other vendors she has worked with, she even sent a Starbucks gift card telling me to treat myself as she knew planning can be stressful. Like HOW sweet! Leading up to the big day she made sure she knew all the shots we wanted, staged and candid’s. With this information Nikki came in organized and prepared with a plan to take the bridal party and family photos efficiently so we could enjoy most of the cocktail hour. I knew Nikki had a packed month of weddings she was shooting she still turned around a few sneak peek images within 24 hours and our album in what could only be described as record time. She went above and beyond for us before, during, and after our wedding surprising us with a 16x20 BEAUTIFUL framed portrait….. like WHAT!?! She is amazing and so thoughtful I would highly recommend Nikki for wedding or any photography needs as I know we will look to use her again and again 😊

so we started searching. I came across Nikki's work on instagram & her beautiful, bright, colorful pictures instantly caught my attention. Her style and personality seemed just right for us so I contacted her. It was actually our initial correspondence that drew me to Nikki, her witty questionnaires and back and forth correspondence convinced me she was the one! Nikki is everything you want in a photographer. She made the process so easy, was flexible and patience & her photos are obviously AMAZING. Our engagements photos were wonderful and we received so many compliments on our wedding website and save the date. We just knew she would be magic for the wedding and she did not disappoint. We got married on the beach with over 200 people and about a 40 person wedding party haha which included a lot of kids. We really put her through the ringer but she was up to the challenge. Every single person raved about how amazing and professional she was. From handling the heat, to engaging with the kids, Nikki killed it! We also had a second shooter named Rachel who was an absolute delight to work with. Nikki also was very involved with the reception, keeping people on track, relaying messages, we really couldn't have pulled the day off without her. If I could give her 8 stars I would! (8 for Ovechkin). The last thing to note is how quickly she turned the photos around. She also posted teasers which were just so fun to watch out for in the weeks leading up to getting the final photos. Finally, she sent us a beautifully framed photo of our favorite picture that is now hanging next to me as I write this. Needless to say we LOVED Nikki! We were thrilled that her wedding package included engagement photos, which we may not have taken otherwise. This shoot allowed us to get more comfortable in front of the camera and have some gorgeous photos for our wedding guest book. When it came time for the wedding, Nikki was the perfect balance of easygoing and organized. She made sure to understand our requests and family dynamics well ahead of time so that we didn’t miss a photo. In addition, she made the effort to scout out our venue the night before (not expected when flying in for just over a 24-hour period) to find the best photo locations based on backgrounds and lighting. Everything ran incredibly smoothly, even when we inevitably got behind schedule, and I attribute a lot of that to Nikki. As for the photos, we received a preview almost immediately (in fact, Nikki began showing me some unedited pictures as early as the reception) and the full set within weeks. We truly cannot get over how beautiful they are and have not stopped getting compliments from family and friends. If that was not enough, about a month later we unexpectedly received a package—a large wall print, beautifully framed, from Nikki. This went above and beyond our expectations and is a gift we will never forget. I would highly recommend Nikki and will continue to use her for other photography needs.

beautiful as Nikki's, was actually within our budget. That said, she's got the talent to charge more than she does - so you truly get more than you're paying for. I instantly fell in love with her style, she has an amazing way of capturing all the color and life of a moment, but translating it in a way that's soft and dreamy. We did our engagement shoot with her first (HIGHLY RECOMMEND) and even though my fiancé and I had never been photographed professionally before... and we are NOT the model type.... she made us feel SO relaxed and we had such a fun time walking around and taking photos. Nikki makes you feel like a million bucks! She'll look at her camera after a photo and say something like "oh my god you guys are too cute" or "ahhhhh"... Her excitement about her work shows that she's in this business for the right reasons. We got our engagement photos just 2-3 days after our shoot (wow!) and we were absolutely blown away. I mean, I expected good photos, but Nikki gave us AMAZING photos. And I'm very self conscious... she makes sure to capture you in such a flattering way, I couldn't believe how good (and natural) we looked! This made me SO excited for our wedding photos. And she did NOT disappoint. Nikki captured our big day with perfection. I can't stress this enough... she shot literally everything I wanted, and worked with us on a time crunch, getting us AMAZING keepsake memories that we'll have forever. Okay so enough about the pictures, you don't have to worry about that with Nikki. On to how she is to work with.... Nikki is so sweet and funny! She not only works well with the couple one-on-one, but your photographer actually pretty much has to deal with everyone that you have to deal with on your wedding day. And she does a great job. I've got plenty of crazy aunties... I don't know how she does it. Also, when she's hanging with the bridesmaids getting ready, she just feels like another one of the girls. She's so easy-going, but not shy! Which is great. She knows exactly how to direct everyone for photos, and how to gather two sides of families in like a split second. Also, Nikki was extremely responsive the whole time from when we hired her, to the wedding, to even since then (now 3 months out). She got us our photos promptly, even while dealing with surgery shortly after our wedding (which she planned out highly - still putting all her clients first even when she had something serious like surgery to think of). One of my absolute favorite things was that the morning after our wedding, we woke up to a preview of one of our bride & groom portraits, and it was so exciting to see a photo so quickly! And while everything is still so fresh and real. She also gave several instagram previews - like probably 10 photos, before we got our actual photos, just over a month after our wedding. Then as if she couldn't be any better of a photographer, (I mean it's all over now right?) she sent us a beautiful framed 16x20 portrait for Christmas. We will definitely go to Nikki for any photography needs from now on, and I HIGHLY recommend her to ANYONE. She's the best around.

Our wedding venue was on the water and Nikki was the perfect person to shoot our big day. Even though I was super nervous about taking our engagement pictures, Nikki nailed it! She made us feel so comfortable and it made for the best pictures ever. On the wedding day, she captured so many candid moments and made everything feel natural. Nikki even calmed my nerves on the way to our ceremony! She got to business when it came time for our extended family shots (which I'm not sure how any photographer can stay sane during) but was efficient which let us enjoy cocktail hour! She blended into the crowd for the reception and "stole" us for amazing sunset shots. The perfect balance! After searching for photographers for actual months and not being able to find the right style, I found Nikki while browsing on Instagram, and I knew I had finally found the right one! Nikki is brilliant. My husband and I are awful picture takers, but she had no problem directing us and helping us feel comfortable. Not only that, but she's so creative! We gave her complete artistic control over both our engagement shoot and our wedding shoot, and we are beyond pleased with the results.
