After watching many online videos of live bands throughout the Metro-Detroit and Southeastern Michigan area, we selected Nick Kuhl and The Gang to perform at our wedding at Meadow Brook Hall last fall. We are SO glad we hired them – they were absolutely amazing!! Not only were Nick and Tony extremely kind, responsive, and easy to work with throughout the planning process and on the day of the wedding, but the band’s musical expertise, sound quality, and overall talent is phenomenal and incomparable. We planned our entire wedding in 3 months, and Nick and Tony were very accommodating and helpful throughout all of our last-minute planning; they were quick on their toes and were even able to seamlessly incorporate song selections and cues for speeches we provided on the morning of the wedding! They even assisted with other elements of the wedding day by providing microphones for our ceremony and even helping with some non-music related tasks that had been overlooked by another vendor. (We were extremely grateful for this!) During the reception, the band played a combination of specific selections we requested, along with a variety of other timeless and popular music that everyone loved. They kept people of all ages on the dance floor the entire evening! They also did a wonderful job serving as the MC throughout the reception and maintained a great level of energy and enthusiasm throughout the event. The performers in the band clearly love what they do, and their enjoyment and happiness were evident and contagious!. We highly recommend Nick Kuhl and The Gang for anyone who appreciates excellent music, a live band, and top-notch entertainment! We wish we had another event so we could hire them again!
Having a live band at our wedding reception was always something we had dreamed of, but it was when we started looking for the perfect band that we found ourselves taking our time to make sure the music would mirror the energy of the day and put on a performance everyone would remember. Nick Kuhl and the Gang did not disappoint. They truly rocked and kept the party going from open to close. Very professional and a pleasure to work with, they were communicative before the wedding, and were flexible with specifics like performing as a three piece band before dinner then following up with a ten piece with brass for dancing after dinner. Their quality is second to none, they sound studio quality live, and can play literally anything! From learning our first dance song to breaking it down with Motown and funk, nothing is outside their comfort zone. They even let the groom and a couple groomsmen who played together in a band get up and rock with them on stage! Needless to say we were very impressed and would without hesitation recommend them to anyone looking to book a wedding band for their special day.
NKG were amazing at our wedding. They were so easy to work with and sounded absolutely amazing. Our guests were on the dance floor all night and they really customized their sets to our requests.

If there is one thing i can tell you about the whole wedding planning process, its book this band!!!!!!!! There are no words to describe how amazing they were. They learned 3 songs for the first dances no matter what the song was. They took some song requests from our guests throughout the night. They were out on the dance floor dancing and singing with guests and even had one of our guests using a cowbell. They took the time (spur of the moment) to let my family give an extra toast in the middle of dancing to honor my late grandfather with a traditional whiskey shot. They also made sure multiple times they were announcing everyones name write and had the relationship to us correctly. The attention to detail was amazing. One of the top things people have been raving about with our day was NKG. We can't recommend them enough!!
NKG played at our wedding this past summer and they were absolutely fantastic!! When we first met to discuss the wedding "vine" I had mentioned that we wanted high energy 90s-2000s crowd pleasers that would keep everyone on the dance floor all night long. They did not disappoint in the least! They were not only amazing performing live, they were very accommodating when it came to coordinating playlists for our ceremony entrance, cocktail hour, wedding party entrance and all breaks in between sets.
They have some live videos on their social media of the band performing but believe me when I say the videos do not do them justice to just how terrific they sound live. If you're on the fence of whether to go with a dj or live band for your wedding, all your concerns will flood away once you book NKG!!
Amazingggg band!!!! Our dance floor was packed the entire night. We took a risk and booked them without ever having seen them and I couldn’t have been happier. They were super responsive, open to suggestions, provided cocktail music for a super small fee. I could not recommend them more highly. I’d hire them for another event in a second. 11/10!!!!
NKG was the first vendor we called after we secured our date and venue! After hearing them at other events I knew I wanted them for our October 2021 wedding. Nick and team were wonderful to work with, discussing the order of events with us and making sure everything with our timeline and venue went smoothly. When it came to the actual music, I cannot recommend them enough! Our dance floor was full the entire reception and each song flowed seamlessly in to the next. They did amazing job of mixing Motown and classics with recent hits, just as we had asked. The talent between each musician in the group is incredible, each member brings something unique but it all works together to create an amazing performance. I also recommend hiring their horn section as that really brought something special. I had so many guests come up to me and gush about how great the band was, you're in great hands with NKG! I would love to do it all over again!

I am here to tell you that you want to hire Nick Kuhl and the Gang for your wedding. We had seen them at a few other weddings and we knew we had to book them for our own wedding. They were not only incredible musicians and vocalists, but their vibe was so fun. I think they had as much fun as we did and that’s something you want in a wedding band. They know how to entertain a crowd. We received many accolades from our guests. They kept us all out on the dance floor until the night was over and we didn’t want it to end! They were extremely professional and we never to had to worry about anything because they were on top of everything. NKG was everything that we hoped for in a wedding band. From preparation through the wedding day, they delivered exactly what we wanted. The energy they brought made our wedding a memorable one. All great singers and great musicians. They also knew all the right songs to make the dance floor a party. I would pick them again 10 times out of 10. Highly recommend!

My wife and I had NKG play our wedding at the GPYC. We were one of the COVID weddings that got postponed by a full year. Working with Nick across multiple years was absolutely seamless. He was so accommodating with date changes and everything. Nick worked with us to make sure everything was planned out and executed as envisioned. Needless to say, it went off without a hitch and was better than we could have anticipated.
From the moment the band went on, to the last song they played…. the dance floor was COMPLETELY packed! I haven’t seen so many people dancing at a wedding in my entire life. In fact, we are still getting compliments and inquiries on the music! I mean you can’t go wrong when you have 8 amazing and talented people in a band like this. They played the best selection of music ever and really created the vibe we wanted. Ultimately, we knew from the moment we first listened to them play that our guests were in for an amazing time. And it really was overall an AMAZING time. NKG is literally the best Detroit wedding band EVER

NKG was all around a pleasure to work with throughout the wedding planning process. We were hoping to hear them in person before booking, but were unable to attend any of their private shows, however after watching videos of them online, we knew they would be great - they were so much better in person, too! Many guests commented on how great the band was at our wedding. They played all of the songs that we requested during their breaks via iPod and the MC portion was very professional (and equipment top notch). They also coordinated well with our other vendors, which was a relief. We couldn't have asked for a better band.

Dear Nick Kuhl and the Gang, thank you so much for the MIND-BLOWING job you did at our wedding. Everyone has raved about you non-stop, still 4 weeks after the wedding! Music is a part of our life that is extremely significant to us both, and you definitely nailed it. From collaborating on the bride’s entrance song, the closing ceremony song, and allowing our families to partake in the entertainment by playing their own rendition of certain songs, you truly knocked the night out of the park. You were effortless in getting everyone to dance and enjoy the kickoff of the evening even before our guests had their entrée and were incredible in keeping all of the guests on the dance floor until 12am. The play list was exactly what we were hoping for, and the 7-piece set was all we could have ever dreamed! We were lucky enough to have Nick Kuhl and the Gang travel to Northern Michigan for our wedding and they brought their A game! WOWWWWW! Literally, there are no bad words to say here. Nick and the gang (haha!) were the life of the party. I had NEVER wanted to have a DJ, only a band, for my wedding ever since I was young and let me just say, they did not disappoint me! They played all the classics, mixed with some current songs and did a fantastic job for our special moment songs. They were upbeat, fun and kept the party rocking until 11 p.m. We can't thank them enough and would highly recommend them to any MI couples looking for a band who likes to have a good time!

They truly are the best Detroit Wedding Band! There was never a dull moment or clear dance floor while they were playing. They played amazing music from all eras. They were able to play all three of our special dances live, even though they needed to learn the new music. We had a call with their MC the week prior to make sure they had everything covered. It was really helpful to have them cover all of our PA needs for all four locations that needed it.

To start, NKG is AMAZING! The band for our wedding was super important to us, we wanted our guests dancing all night long! NKG went above and beyond that! My family has been to several weddings and all night long I had so many guests comment on how they are the best band they have ever heard! The dance floor was packed all night long and the music selection was perfect! They made sure everyone had an awesome time. NKG will do anything for their clients! I truly cannot put into words how amazing the band is. Trust me when I say I am a picky person and NKG surpassed my expectations times a million! It was an unreal experience and night! Each one of the band members is extremely talented and when combining them together, you have a band that exceeds your expectations! Not to mention, they literally can play and sing anything! From the beginning to the end of the night they were spot on musically and had the whole wedding crowd on the dance floor which meant everything to us. We received countless compliments and inquiries about them (and even still 2 months later). Nick Kuhl and the Gang were the BEST and most fun wedding band. Our guests Absolutely raved about them. We had an outdoor wedding and reception in a rural area. NKG took care of all the music for the ceremony, dinner, cocktails, and of course, reception. They also provided emcee services, which included directing guests where to go from cocktails to reception. They accommodated our family, who wrote a "surprise song" for the reception, and learned several new songs that we had requested. The talent is unbelievable and the whole group could not be nicer or easier to work with. Highly recommend this band.

Within the first 30 minutes of music, I lost track of how many times guests came up to me to tell me how amazing the band was. "Best wedding band I've ever heard" "Earth wind and fire, Bruno Mars, and Outkast? This band is on point!" "Wow, just wow"
Nick Kuhl and the Gang are unbelievably talented and play such a good set that the guests can't help but dance. More than just great performers though, they are a great team to have by your side on your wedding day. They met with us beforehand to get the schedule down so that they could help make sure all went smoothly, they scheduled their set-up time early so that it wouldn't interrupt the ceremony, they made announcements for us, and helped organize the crowd, and they were more than happy to be flexible if we needed to alter our plans. Simply put, they are professionals. If you hire this band for your wedding, you can rest assured that you will have top of the line music that would make Frank Sinatra jealous, that every guest will have a blast dancing, and most importantly, that everything will go smoothly so that you can spend less time worrying, and more time dancing yourself!

I had Nick Kuhl and the Gang at my wedding on 6/23/17. They were an amazing cover band. I had multiple people tell me that at the beginning of the wedding they didn't realize that they were actually singing because they sounded so much like the real artists! My dance floor was so packed the whole night that people were actually dancing on the carpet. They kept the party alive all night and I got a million complements on them! Definitely look into seeing them at a show/wedding before you book just to see how great they are!!

Nick Kuhl & the Gang played our wedding this Memorial Day weekend. We found them through a recommendation from a friend. After doing an excruciating amount of research on wedding bands in the Detroit area we are so happy we decided to book them! Their pricing and value is great. Believe me I talked to many bands and negotiated (or tried) with many and hands down this band was the best! The quality of the sound and professionalism was great and the music sounded awesome! We had many guests who had attended other weddings in the area tell us they liked our band better than X (another band we debated booking that was twice as much). The communication and prep beforehand was awesome, especially as I live out of state and was arranging the wedding from afar. Nick was very accommodating and responsive; we arranged the songs and timeline over email with a call the week before the wedding. They made a few semi-last minute changes as the timeline shifted the day before too! Most importantly music sounded great! Everyone was very impressed by the bands sound and style and dance party!

Wow wow wow. These guys are absolutely incredible. I flew them to California for my wine country wedding and they were so professional and easy to work with as we planned the trip. But more importantly, the music was AMAZING. The played for hours straight without even taking a break and I've never seen a more lively dance floor at a wedding. They also learned a new song that my husband wrote and let us sing a song together- something that most bands we met with were not willing to do. Hiring these guys was the best decision I made for our wedding. I highly recommend!!

Nick Kuhl And The Gang is by far one of the best bands in Michigan. They played at my wedding and it was the party of the century! They really know how to get the crowd dancing and play all the best music. The quality of musicians and vocalists is top notch. My videographer stayed three hours past his scheduled time with no extra charge because even he was having such a good time. If you're looking for a versatile band with amazing singers and highly skilled musicians at a reasonable price, NKG is he way to go!
