If you want to keep everyone dancing all night long, you must choose Mark Matteo and No Bad Juju for your band! Hiring them to play at our daughter’s recent wedding reception was the best decision ever. We received so many compliments on their music, but the most meaningful endorsement was that our guests never left the dance floor. Mark and his team are exceptional musicians and talented performers. Mark is also a fantastic person and a terrific emcee—he is fun and engaging without focusing the attention on himself. It takes a special person to strike that balance.
No Bad Juju is a professional and well-respected band, experienced in performing songs from the seventies through today. The best part of working with them is that you need to give them only a general outline of your preferences (we had a one-hour zoom call a couple weeks prior to the wedding to get everything organized). They will take it from there. They will read the crowd, adjust the tempo, and keep everyone hyped up in the best possible way. They are not the sort of band that lays out a detailed set list for the evening, but there is no need for that. You can trust them to play exactly the right music.
We also have them booked for our son’s wedding in a few months, so we cannot wait to do it all over again. No Bad Juju is worth every penny of the additional cost compared to hiring a DJ. Please save yourself the time and energy of combing through hundreds of reviews and interviewing multiple performers. No Bad Juju is the only band you need!

No Bad JuJu is the real deal! They are incredibly talented and professional with a wide repertoire. They blew everyone away at our wedding. Guests were on the dance floor for hours and kept telling us how great the band was. We requested a setlist with some extra Motown, and they delivered! The whole band is so tight, it gives each musician a chance to shine. Their horn section really rounded out the sound and totally blew us away.
They were also communicative, responsive, and very friendly. I can't wait until our anniversary party so we can hire them again!

A band can make or break a wedding reception. If you are searching for bands for your wedding in the Pittsburgh area, do yourself a favor and hire No Bad Juju. The energy NBJJ brought made my daughter's reception. NBJJ easy to work with, dependable and professional. At the reception they had everyone on the dance floor within minutes and maintained the energy throughout the night. Their music was crisp, songs well thought out and their spontaneous interaction with the crowd was incredible. Six months later, guests are still buzzing about our band. Stop your search. Hire them.

No Bad JUJU played our wedding in early June 2023. They are literally hands down the best wedding band/ band in the Pittsburgh area. They had everyone dancing all night long and the number of compliments we received from guests out of town and in town was insane. Everyone is still talking about it and how much fun they had. Stop your search and book them ASAP they will have your guests raving about your wedding! We can't thank them enough for the absolute party!

No Bad Juju rocked the house and stole the show. They played a mix of music that was thoroughly enjoyed by young adults and older folk.
Mark Matteo and No Bad Juju accommodated all of our requests, including helping out with the sound for the ceremony. They played hit after hit and the dance floor was packed all night long.
Which was exactly what we wanted. Several wedding guests came up to us after and complimented the band! We would high recommend No Bad Juju for any occasion.

No Bad Juju is AMAZING to work with! Our family and friends could not stop talking about how great they were! They had everyone dancing and singing the whole night. My fiancé and I always knew we wanted a live band, but we had never been to a wedding with one. When we went to listen to No Bad Juju at one of their shows, we knew they were perfect for our wedding! They know so many songs and really interact with the crowd. They learned our first dance song for us, and it was even better than the original. One of their band members also played the organ for our ceremony! Mark does such a good job going through exactly how you want the day to go and the types of songs you want to hear. I am still blown away by how great they were. They even stayed a little bit longer to perform an encore. If you are looking for a live band, No Bad Juju will surpass all of your expectations!

It's one thing to have a beautiful wedding...it's another thing to have "No Bad JuJu" there. They put on an INCREDIBLE performance at our reception. When we were in the process of planning our wedding day we were on the fence as to whether or not we were going to have a live band or a DJ. We went back and forth in our wedding budget to see where our costs were being allocated and if it made sense to spend on a live band. After careful thought, we decided to go for it and we can say without a shadow of a doubt that looking back at our wedding day it was one of the best decisions we made. Our wedding was in 2018 and two years later we still have friends and family talking about how much fun our reception was because of No Bad JuJu. Needless to say, they created an amazing atmosphere for many magical moments.

We were set on having a band that could make sure our wedding was just one big dance party and that is what No Bad JuJu provided us with! They were a ton of fun and the dance floor was full all night! They worked with us to incorporate our requests for first dance songs. We had the pianist play during the ceremony and made some unique requests that he was able to plan wonderfully. We spoke with Mark multiple times before our wedding to go over everything and things went very smoothly the day of. Overall would highly recommend No Bad Juju!

No Bad Juju is a full time band who only practices and plays with themselves which made their vibe and “performance” effortless. They knew how to keep the party going, seamlessly playing hit after hit that all generations could groove to. They honored our request for no line-dance type songs and for timeless classic songs anyone can dance to. Live music makes the reception! We had so many compliments about the band and music not only from our wedding guests but also from our venue. They’re easy to work with, respectful, and well known in the wedding scene for vendors. If you’re having your wedding in the ‘burgh, you need No Bad Juju!

I would HIGHLY recommend No Bad JuJu for your wedding!! We went back and forth deciding between a DJ and a band.... but then we heard No Bad JuJu live, and it was a no-brainer. We had a wedding on December 29, so we wanted it to feel like a NYE/Christmas party feel... and the band delivered! They even learned a few songs that we asked them to play. They play a good mix of current popular music & also classic wedding songs. They were awesome! ~gabriella

When we first heard them at a local restaurant in Pittsburgh- we knew we had to book them immediately for our wedding- and it was well worth it!!!! The quality of this band is INCREDIBLE- so talented. We had a couple special requests for songs during our wedding and they made them all happen! They learned certain songs for our wedding and were SPOT ON. Could not have asked for a better band to be part of our special day!
They were a pleasure to work with and I strongly recommend them to anyone who wants to have a good time with amazing music! Thank you!!!!!

We contacted No Bad Juju for our wedding. I thought they were very professional, and things were moving along great as we were trying to pick a band. I had a few nice emails, and calls with the lead singer/guitar player - Mark. Mark did say they had another inquiry on our date, but that he would let us know before he confirmed anything. We wanted to see the band, so they invited us to visit 40 minutes away. So we did, and enjoyed the band a lot. I followed up 2 days after that show with some questions, and Mark informed me they took the other gig. I cannot really speak for what they would be at a wedding, all reviews seems great, and they did sound good from what we saw. But I suggest paying a deposit immediately if you don't want to lose them, even if they tell you otherwise.

We hired No Bad Juju for our wedding and they did a great job. They are an awesome band who does a wide variety of musical genres. My only complaint was that I felt they kind of phoned it in in the beginning, I made it clear that we were really looking for a huge dance party vibe and to do what they needed to do to get people on the floor and during the first set it kind of felt like they were just going through the motions, but I made this point to the band leader on the break and the second set was amazing, much more interactive and got many more people on the dance floor. All in all I would certainly recommend them!

Sabrinas voice is unreal, for such a tiny little thing she can sure belt it out!! No Bad JuJu kept my guests on their feet the entire night! Mark really played up the crowd and the rest of the band are extremely talented musicians. My husband and I picked a song for our first dance that was not on their list and we really wanted Mark to sing it live. The band learned the song with only a few weeks to go and they sounded BETTER than the original artist!

The quality of music was excellent. They did a great job of keeping the crowd involved.;They are a very busy band and it was difficult sometimes to get a hold of them to get questions answered. You won't have much contact with them until about a week before your wedding. This is normal for them; however, for a bride who isn't in the business this can be a little frustrating.

The sound/talent of this band is fantastic! They did a great job with our first dance song (learned a new cover song)- and the remaining songs on their playlist suited all of our guests. Almost everyone danced at our wedding and enjoyed the band.;The band's existing playlist did not have a lot of options for Father-Daugher songs. They seemed hesitant to help us with music (learning new cover songs)for the first dance and father daughter dances - but we were able to compromise on a few things and all worked out very well.
