While putting everything together, Sarah and Chris asked detailed questions to make sure the ceremony and reception were exactly what we wanted. Some of the questions I had never even thought of, but they knew exactly how to make the event flow music-wise. They were very communicative in the time leading up to the wedding too, which we absolutely appreciated. The day of, they were early and ready with their setup well before guests started arriving. Sarah provided live acoustic guitar and singing for the ceremony while Chris made sure the sound was on point. (My husband is a musician too so the sound quality was VERY important and Chris definitely delivered.) Sarah’s voice though! The passion and soul in her voice provided the most romantic atmosphere as my parents walked me down the aisle. No Macarena took our extremely random song requests for the reception and used their professional experience to help them all make sense together. As an emcee, Chris kept the energy up and was extremely personable as we’d hoped our DJ would be! The lights they provided created an energetic atmosphere, which I wasn’t sure could even happen for a micro wedding! No Macarena maintained complete professionalism while being two of the most personable people my now-husband and I have ever met. I seriously thought about how much I would love to be friends with them! There is no doubt in my mind that I want to hire them again. The whole experience with them was phenomenal and I’m already hoping that we can have another event just so we can be around their DJ skills and musicianship. Like I said, No Macarena blew us away!

f our guests told us how great they did and asked for their booking information. Our friend just booked them for her wedding. When we look back on our special day and remember the great moments, many of them include “No Macarena” and for that we will be forever grateful.

loorplans of the space to specify where the lighting was supposed to go. On the day of they had blue lighting and told us “that’s what the white is for these lights”. Our entire ballroom was tinted blue and we had to work the photographer to correct it when she edited the photos. During the reception they did offer to change it to another setting during which was yellow/orange. Appreciate the effort but none of the options were what we paid for. They also made the executive decision without consulting us to exclude lighting altogether from the bar area so they didn’t have to use extension chords, causing the overhead chandeliers to be used, which was the reason we wanted the lighting there in the first place. I didn’t catch this until after the fact because I Additionally - the DJ forgot my husbands name when announcing us, didn’t announce us as “Mr. & Mrs” (something I’ve never heard of ?) and also entirely skipped over a traditional dance we requested in writing prior to the wedding. When we brought this to their attention afterwards they spent an hour on the phone and multiple emails arguing with us instead of taking ownership. A super unfortunate experience, I cant recommend working with this company. (See lighting issues in the photos provided.)

Neither of us were based in the US at the time, and they were very accommodating to have zoom calls with us. Our DJ, Rod, was fantastic. He was very accommodating and not at all demanding, which is a great combo. He was very happy to work with whatever we wanted and had. He took the time to read our timeline and plan for the day, and made sure to have a call with us so we were on the same page. His execution of the ceremony, spotlight dances, table dash, toast, it was all perfectly on point. He also adapted very well to how the day was going. He kept the crowd on the dance floor the whole evening and night, so much so that we didn't get to talk to all of our guests properly! Thanks again for making our day so special!

Chris emceed the entire event flawlessly. He hyped up the crowd leading up to every announcement and was accommodating and supportive when we asked for last minute changes. Finally, they checked in after our day and sent us beautiful photos from the DJ booth. I had a completely stress free event thanks to them, and I would recommend them to literally anyone for their day.

me unusual special requests for the live music portion. We got a live duo for cocktail hour, a 3-hour DJ, and a photo booth. They were all huge hits. No Macarena absolutely made our celebration complete, they are worth every penny.

No Macarena is very easy to communicate with, and our pre-event meeting with Josh was super helpful to finalize our vision for the music. Which, to us, was one of the most important pieces of the event! Highly highly recommend, especially if you're into crafting your own playlists with the help of a skilled DJ.

Chris even helped our officiant end the ceremony and direct guests when he could find the coordinator. Sarah felt like a kindred spirit and was SO helpful and sweet throughout the day. I felt a little lost of the progression of the nights events on the day of, and they walked me through everything. We had so much fun the whole night, and they really got people dancing. My husband is a huge Philly sports fan and they played all the songs and it was like the cherry on top for his night. I have since learned that Kim is no longer with the company and the new owners have been very responsive and great to work with, so I am sure my communication issues with Kim would not be an issue in the future. ding and reception exactly how you imagined. We had gone to weddings in the past where we felt like the choice of music really killed the vibe of the reception so we wanted to dictate all the music that was played. We understood that this made us seem crazy to basically tell the DJ the songs he/she could and could not play but No Macarena was really cool about it and our DJ didn't mind at all. They will give you as much or as little input as you want! What other service can say that? I talked to our DJ, Sal, for a while about the logistics of the day/night and he honestly helped us out a lot with suggestions about certain parts of the ceremony/reception. We gave Sal a library of music to pick and choose from because we didn't want to micromanage him (more than we already had lol). We had several people say how great the music was so Sal's choices from our library were definitely a hit and they mentioned how engaged he was throughout the evening. You could tell he was having a good time and we appreciated that instead of a DJ just standing up there hitting buttons. He kept the reception going the entire night and was very professional with all the announcements he had to make for us and our families. So I would highly recommend Sal in particular as well as the No Macarena service! And that's not even mentioning that when we spoke with other married couples we realized that the cost for the No Macarena service is VERY good for all that they offer compared to other DJ services. Whether you want to be more hands on with the music or completely hands off, they'll do whatever you'd like. They also traveled 90 minutes for us. I don't know what more you could ask for in a DJ service. Sal is the man! And also a big thank you to Kim!

He took our requests on the spot and tolerated with grace our friends who high jacked the mic a few times for unplanned toasts :) They were very affordable and very "no frills" which is exactly what we wanted. We were averse to having a DJ yelling in to the mic all night and playing the electric slide with strobe lights so this was perfect for us.

We sent Em over our spotify playlist and she made a much better playlist from it! I don't know how she did it, but at the exact moment when everyone was spontaneously taking shots, she played the best, most fitting song that we didn't even have on our playlist but we are glad she added it! She introduced us, facilitated the dances, announced events that were taking place so all the guests could be included, and kept us all on track for the night. She was a great DJ and she was so kind. The guests had a great time dancing and more than one person said it was the best wedding they'd ever been to.
