I cannot say enough good things about No Macarena and Chris and Sarah. Throughout the entire process of planning our wedding, Chris and Sarah were professional, helpful, patient, and supportive. Every question asked, they had an answer for, every possible issue posed, they had a solution, every crazy idea pitched, they rose up to the challenge. From our first phone call all the way up to the day of our wedding, they were there ready and willing to help us make all of our big ideas become reality. Their outline was so helpful in planning the timeline for our big day and really helped us figure out all of the small details that we probably would not have even thought of. On the day of our wedding, they were punctual, able to set everything up without questions, and executed everything that we talked about with no issues. They played music for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception and every event went off without a hitch. During the reception, they provided an excellent mix and kept everyone up on the dancefloor providing the exact atmosphere that we wanted. I can't imagine how different the planning process and our wedding would have been if we didn't choose to use No Macarena. I am so incredibly grateful for everything they did to help make our big day so special. I highly recommend them for literally any event.

No Macarena did a fabulous job for our wedding! The music selections were exactly what we were looking for, and the DJ kept the energy going throughout the whole party. They also provided a photobooth, which our guests really enjoyed. We now have access to all of the photos, which are fun to look back on and see our guests having so much fun! Everyone from No Macarena was very responsive and professional throughout the whole process. I'd definitely recommend them for any event!

Sarah was very easy to communicate with from the beginning. They make a point to ensure that your DJ understands your taste and can work off of any amount of songs you provide as examples. Zach definitely kept people on the dance floor all night which is exactly what we wanted. He also stuck to my ‘no play list’ and clarified with me on certain things that people were requesting which was highly appreciated. We also used them for our photobooth which was great, the photo quality was excellent and they sent us all of the photos (both individuals and collages) after the wedding! My only complaint was that a few things had to be clarified on the day of the wedding just before the ceremony (songs for dances etc) but it was fixed quickly and everything went off without a hitch!

Five Stars for our DJ experience! We hired DJ Alex through No Macarena and he did an amazing job! We provided playlists for dinner and the reception and he totally got the vibes we were going for and the dance floor was full all night. We got so many compliments on the DJ! The photo booth was a hit with our guests and everyone had a fun time taking pictures. They provide props for the booth but you're allowed to bring some of your own. I thought I wouldn't care about the props, but in hindsight I do wish we did end up bringing some.

Ryan was awesome! He was easy to communicate with prior to our wedding and played all of the songs we requested without a hitch. After listening to the MOH and BM speeches in which Twilight and League of Legends were mentioned, he played songs from both during dinner. So fun!

We hired Darrel from No Macarena for our September 2024 wedding and he was a pleasure to work with! He made everything run smoothly despite the venue being fairly complicated with multiple setups. He did a great job MC’ing, helping us stick to our timeline, and he was flexible and receptive to small adjustments on the day. We did find it a little confusing that No Macarena’s pricing changed partway through booking with them, and we had to request some formal documentation throughout the process (invoices, contract, etc.). This might just be some growing pains, but, overall, they bring in reliable DJs. We really enjoyed working with Darrel.

Alex did an absolutely fantastic job as our wedding DJ! From the ceremony audio setup to keeping the dance floor packed all night, everything was flawless. We can’t say enough good things about Jamya. She was a ray of sunshine on our day. She was considerate and accommodating at every turn, and once the reception started she made the whole thing flow perfectly without ever causing us stress. She mixed the music perfectly and accepted every request we had. We decided on the song for the mother/daughter dance, no joke, a minute before the dance actually began, but Jamya made it work without a hitch! She played music from the playlist that we provided, but also got a feel for our taste in music and added in more music that meshed perfectly! She also mixed songs so that guests weren’t stuck listening to the same song in its entirety. If you’ve been to other weddings, it can be difficult to keep people’s attention when the same song is playing for too long. At one point, our dance floor started to slow down because people started to get tired (because the music was so good that we couldn’t stop dancing). Instead of slowing the music down on her own, she came over and checked with us to make sure we were okay with slower music and even asked us for some slow songs we liked. It was this kind of consideration, kindness, and attention to detail that made Jamya such a joy to work with. She made our party amazing, and all without taking the attention away from us once. Our guests (both young and old) were constantly telling us how amazing she was. Many of them took the time to even walk up to her at the end of the night to thank her personally. You can tell that she really enjoys her job. Her love of music (and people) quite literally radiates out of her. She has this megawatt smile and seeing that on your wedding day is infectious. Do yourself and your guests a favor and book Jamya for your wedding!!

He struck the perfect balance of showing his great personality, but never making himself the center of attention. He was so helpful in the music selection process beforehand, and his understanding of the vibe we were looking for was SPOT ON! He read the room so well, even pivoting from something we’d originally planned, but it was absolutely perfect! So many of our guests were up and dancing the whole night, and I think that was a testament to the quality of our DJ.

DJ Rod and No Macarena deserve more than just a 5 out of 5 review. Quickly, for No Macarena they are exactly what they advertise. They allow you to take complete control of the playlists for all parts of your wedding, if you want, and they did no line-dancing or anything specific that we did not want. We liked No Macarena for the originality and freedom offered, and that is exactly what we got. Regarding DJ Rod, as a couple who stresses professionalism and friendliness most of all, especially for our wedding, DJ Rod was perfect. He was friendly to speak and work with. He handled set-up and our requests with respect but also an eager attitude like he WANTED to do it. He was an absolute pleasure. It felt like he was on standby for our few specific song requests, and we gave him creative freedom for the dancing portion of the night and his song choices were great! Everyone who wanted to dance was dancing and very much enjoyed themselves. As stated at the top, DJ Rod deserves more than just a 5 out of 5 rating.

I cannot say enough great things about No Macarena DJ! Chris and Sarah themselves came to DJ my wedding in June and they were absolutely amazing from the jump. The first time we spoke with Chris over the phone our anxiety immediately subsided - he was incredibly kind, thoughtful and listened to our requests. We had kind of a weird request where we wanted our first dance song chopped up a bit to include my favorite part of the song at the end, and Chris was able to mix it with short notice, and he did an awesome job! They were spot on with the type of music we wanted, and when they showed up to the wedding, I felt like I had known them for years with how comfortable they made us feel. On the day of the wedding, we worked with Kim, who was also incredible. Our venue had multiple locations that needed mics and speakers and Kim did an amazing job making sure the sound was always perfect. She set up the lighting for the dancing as well and did a great job matching the vibe we requested. When it came to the dancing, Kim was able to turn our mismatched playlist into a phenomenal dance party that incorporated many of our favorite songs and flowed effortlessly. Choosing the right music was the most important wedding decision for my husband. As a big music lover and hater for choreographed line dances, he was drawn to the name "No Macarena." When reading through reviews we found our DJ, Darrel, and we are absolutely thrilled with the outcome. We had a complicated venue: dinner, cocktail hour, dinner and dancing all happened in separate locations and all required mics/sound systems. Darrel arrived early and got set up quickly and efficiently. My friend, who was acting as our day of coordinator, said he was extremely organized and helpful. It could have been complete chaos but Darrel handled it all with grace and kindness. The entire night, our guests were approaching us on the dance floor telling us how great our music was and that our DJ was awesome. Our dance floor was packed the entire night -- many guests saying it was the most people they've ever seen dancing at a wedding -- and many of our guests never left the dance floor. Darrel stuck close to the songs we wanted played during our reception, but added in as necessary, mixed songs so there was never a dull moment and placed them in the perfect order. Our emo power hour was definitely a highlight and we had so much fun with Darrel. Thank you, thank you!! No Macarena also provided the uplighting for our event, which was a huge help to make our decor space a little more inviting and the dance floor more fun! Altogether, they were very affordable and a pleasure to work with!

In helping us to prep, they asked all the right questions to ensure that we had everything in place with speakers/equipment, timeline for speeches, our playlist and more. Words cannot describe how IMMENSELY GRATEFUL we are for the amazing music and environment Dj Jamz (Jamya) created for our wedding night. She is such a gem and everyone couldn’t stop raving about the music and how sweet, personable, and fun she was, and how much fun it was to look over and also see her jamming along 🥰 She created an incredible vibe and made the night beyond special, expertly mixing tunes for our first dance, announcing us with such joy during our grand entrance, and spinning both English and non English music for our fusion wedding. Our DJ was Jonas and he knocked out of the park. We had a short wedding planning window and he was patient with us and understanding. My husband and I have two very different distinct preferences for music styles and Jonas was able to blend the two throughout the night and make it a really fun evening that we all enjoyed. We always had folks on the dance floor and he kept us coming back for more. We also opted for a more casual, low key introductions and he MCed our evening to satisfy this request. Our DJ Jonas was incredible! We received multiple compliments throughout our wedding and after saying how good the music was. He listened to our requests, fully understood the vibe we wanted, and threw in his own expertise to give us the perfect soundtrack to our night. Discussing our playlists was easy and he offered great advice to make sure people were dancing. Jonas was also able to keep things moving on schedule and adjust when some things were slightly delayed. We couldn't have had the wedding we did without him. Sarah and Chris made this process super easy, as well, and were always there to answer any questions we had. We can't recommend No Macarena enough!

Jonas did such an amazing job, we were blown away at the playlist and everyone kept coming up to us saying how good the music was. We might be self-proclaimed "indie-heads" and didn't want anything too cliché, but also wanted everyone to be up and moving on the dance floor. Jonas handled it with ease. No Macarena DJ was so easy to work with!! Darrel was our DJ for the night! He was very attentive to what types of music we wanted played and there were times when everyone was on the dance floor. He read the vibe of the room multiple times and played music accordingly!! We got tons of compliments from our guests about how good the music was!! Unfortunately, as the bride and groom we didn't get much time on the dance floor, it was actually our biggest regret of our wedding, there just wasn't enough time for everything!! NoMacarena was amazing to work with! The initial conversations with Chris and Sarah were so easy, and they made us feel super comfortable. Our DJ was Josh, and he was great to work with. He was diligent in making sure the timing of our songs was exactly right and kept guests on the dance floor all night. Jonas, our DJ, was top notch. Throughout our reception, people kept coming up to us unprompted to say how great the music was. He took our recommendations and made a funky and fun playlist. Sarah and Chris were also great with administrative stuff in the lead-up to the wedding. On the whole, we can't recommend these guys enough!

We had the pleasure of having the duo of Mike and Joe for our wedding. They were absolutely incredible. Prior to the wedding, we had a phone call where we went over the thorough google doc provided by No Macarena about the music we were looking for for our wedding. They confirmed everything we had and asked great clarifying questions. They were very professional, showed up very early to make sure all their equipment was set up correctly, and communicated well with the event staff and my husband and I. Music is wildly important to both of us and we truly believe that the DJs can make or break a wedding. Joe and Mike MADE our wedding. They understood that we had a young crowd and we gave them the instructions of “keep everyone on the dance floor”. I can honestly say that once the dancing started, my husband and I never once left the dance floor. Joe was able to read the room like a book. He was able to build off of everyone’s reactions to what he had played before. Mike was great as our MC. He only cut into the music when necessary and went over the pronunciation of everyone’s names numerous times with us for introductions and nailed them all. At the end of the night, we requested a “Emo power half hour” and they DELIVERED. We received so many compliments about the music and had numerous people tell us it’s the best music they’ve ever heard at a wedding. I told Joe and Mike that I would recommend them to anyone getting married and I mean it!! We can not thank them enough for making our wedding unforgettable and the greatest party of the century. Rod was absolutely the best dj I could have asked for! He kept the party alive! He was super easy to get hold of when I needed to talk to him. He was super go with the flow and let us switch some things around no problem. Highly recommend!!

We absolutely loved No Macarena! Working with Chris & Sarah to setup all our details was so easy- they sent us a form to fill out all of our information, to answer questions about ourselves and our timeline, specific songs we wanted for specific parts of the wedding, and our overall play/do not play list. They were so amazing with communicating and great at responding to emails. We worked with Christian who was so flexible with last minute changes on our big day and worked so well with our other vendors. Absolutely recommend No Macarena!

We had a great time working with Christian from No Macarena for our wedding! He had a great guide that helped us know when we needed to pick music throughout the ceremony/reception, he reviewed our preferences, then actually stuck to them during the event! He was able to pick the music up just right when we asked him to get people on the dance floor, and he checked in with us when the Groomsmen had a few special song requests that don't really fit at a wedding so we could approve/deny appropriately. Would highly recommend working with Christian!

No macarena was fantastic from start to finish. It was super easy to book, pay, and send them our songs. We got to pick our own playlist, and our wonderful DJ, Rod, went above and beyond to make preparing the songs and the night itself seemless and perfect. Rod gave us a wonderfully personal touch and was flexible whenever we needed to make tweaks to the program or songs. He also sent us songs before hand so we could double check that what he would play during the first dance etc was exactly the version we wanted. The owners also had a baby while we were planning and still went out of their way to help us. I would recommend no macarena to anyone!

We loved having Jonas as our DJ! We were looking for someone who would be able to take the ball and run with it with some loose guidance, and he certainly rose to the task! He was easy to communicate with and we trusted him with the flow of the entire evening. The dance floor was packed from start to finish and our guests remarked at how much fun they all had.
