Kim founded No Macarena DJ & Custom Music Service 26 years ago as an alternative to the line dance craze of that time. A professional DJ for her entire career, she honed her skills at Philadelphia’s WXPN where she eventually transitioned from DJ to Program Director. Kim’s mission is to provide every celebration with exceptional and personalized DJ services, free of any cheesy gimmicks or unnecessary on-mic banter. She has created an amazing team to make it all about the music and strive to keep the dance floor full all night long. In addition to our DJ skills, we are singers and musicians, therefore quadrupling our ability to create that perfect ambience for your special day. We love getting to know couples and making their day exactly what they want. We love what we do! We get to DJ and make people happy on one of the biggest days of their life.

Chris and Sarah played for our wedding at the MAAS building and couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
We asked for an acoustic instrument rendition of Zeppelins “The Rain Song” for the wedding party processional and Chris knocked it out of the park. He also played a light jazzy “Isn’t she Lovely” , for my entrance. It was perfect.
Sarah’s voice is beautiful, the DJing was amazing. We got endless compliments. We closed down with the last remnants on the dance floor…. And Chris and Sarah endured haha - They kept the energy alive until late. Also - Accommodated our guests requests into the mix!
Their Photo Booth attendant, Heather, did an amazing job keeping guests entertained etc!
Thanks again you guys. Couldn’t ask for a more beautiful duo!

So much great stuff to say about this team. Sarah and Chris were so wonderful to work with at the start of planning and paired us with the best DJ we could have asked for. DJ Rod was amazing! So kind and professional. He worked with us to put together our ideal night and he pulled it off perfectly, he's got great instincts and listened to everything we asked for. We are so happy that we got to work with such an amazing team, our day was only as good as it was because of DJ Rod!

My wife and I got married at the Knowlton Mansion in July 2025 and had the best day EVER! NO Macarena DJ Alex Miles was seriously the best DJ we could have ever gotten, and he was incredibly accommodating and helpful with my wife and I playing live music with our band for a few songs! The dance floor was red hot, and all our guests said it was the best wedding they ever have been to! We all know that my wife and I just ruined all other weddings for everyone now...because OURS was so GREAT!
Thank you DJ Alex for your help in organizing our playlist and curating a perfect vibe. Also want to thank Chris who played Beatles covers on acoustic guitar during the ceremony.

Josh was an incredible DJ from No Macarena! We provided an almost entirely curated playlist series, with some openness to getting guest requests played when it seemed like the vibe. We were looking to extend the music directly into an afterparty and Josh went above and beyond to be there, keep the music flowing, and guide the energy through the whole wedding and night. Can't say enough great things about him and No Macarena! No nonsense, great collaboration, and nice. 11/10!

Sarah and Chris were thorough, organized, and communicated through the entire wedding planning process. DJ Josh GOT THE VIBE and gave us the disco-pop-punk dance party of our dreams. We also hired No Macarena for karaoke for our welcome party and a photobooth, both were so easy to add on and added such value to our wedding.

Working with No Macarena was such a smooth process from start to finish which is what you always hope with vendors. What adds to this already great experience is that our DJ (DJ Rod) listened to our requests, no matter how weird, and made sure we had an amazing wedding, dancing the night away with friends and family!!! He took time and care to find and edit every song that was important to the night to make sure he had it right and on the wedding night itself he was an incredible emcee and kept our pop-punk throwbacks going! Rod went above and beyond!! And in general working with No Macarena was one of the best choices we made for our wedding!

We booked No Macarena for our wedding and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for DJ services! From our consultation until we were introduced to our DJ a few weeks out, we worked with Sarah. She was always incredibly friendly, easy to reach, and very responsive when we had questions or inquired about additional services. Our DJ was Ryan, who was great to work with and very accommodating of our schedules when arranging a call to review the details. He arrived and set up on time, and had our guests (from age 2 to 99) on the dance floor all night. It was clear that he could read the crowd, he played something for everyone to enjoy. We are very glad to have chosen No Macarena!

Alex was our day of dj and he was absolutely fantastic. He went above and beyond finding songs that we wanted on our playlist that weren’t on any streaming apps. We had Jamya as our wedding DJ and she was absolutely incredible! From start to finish, she played the perfect setlist; every song felt intentional and kept the energy exactly where it needed to be. She read the crowd flawlessly and somehow knew exactly what to play to get everyone on the dance floor (and keep them there!).
Our guests are still talking about how fun the night was, and so much of that is thanks to her talent, professionalism, and amazing vibe behind the booth. Jamya made our reception unforgettable. She was truly perfect! Highly, highly recommend! 💯✨

Our DJ Darell was amazing to work with! He was extremely kind and followed all of our preferences for our reception as we discussed. We worked with Darrel at No Macarena and he was awesome! Such a nice guy and did a fantastic job with our playlist. My husband was very specific on the music we wanted and created a playlist for every part of the wedding. Darrel did an awesome job of mixing in a few songs that were fitting to the genre and creating an atmosphere that kept people dancing all night. He did no fluffy introductions and stayed off the mic and let the music speak for itself.
No Macarena offers so many options and working with Sarah was such a delight. The team is helpful in getting quotes quickly, flexible and transparent. Thank you Darrel and No Mac for helping us create and execute the soundtrack to our best day!

Our DJ Ryan was great! He kept the energy going and timed everything perfectly for us and our ceremony and reception. He was super easy to work with and to communicate with. He understood our non standard requests like the plushie toss, and was able to execute those for us perfectly. Ryan worked well with our vendors and venue to ensure that everything was set up in advance. We also appreciated that he met with us in advance to go over the thorough form that detailed the music and events of the night, so on the day of the wedding, we did not have to worry about anything. We had a superior experience with No Macarena DJ for our recent wedding and reception in Philadelphia. A few weeks before the ceremony, we received a thorough information form asking us questions about venue, ceremony structure, music preferences, etc. Our DJ, Darryl, scheduled a phone call with us to better understand our story and our needs for the day. He took all of our requests into account when planning for the wedding and reception. Equipment setup was seamless. Darryl's MC style was low-key and allowed our family and friends to carry the reception. We submitted playlists for cocktail hour and dinner, but allowed Darryl to make all selections for the dance party. He did a great job accounting for the range of ages and tastes in attending, and ensured that the dance floor was packed all night. As per the service's name, he steered away from hokey dance songs and kept things lively. We couldn't be happier with our experience.

From beginning to end, No Macarena was fabulous! Coordinating with Sarah, the owner, at the beginning was super easy. She was so kind and thoroughly explained the process and the options they offered. She also took the time to answer any questions I had between booking and the actual wedding. We requested Alex based on other reviews and he was amazing! From our intro call with him to the end of the night, he was easy to get along with and fulfilled all our requests. If you are looking for a DJ who lets you have a big say in what music is played or one who will do some research to find a certain song you are looking for (we wanted some Taylor Swift remixes and he found a few to play), Alex is for you! He made sure the night ran smoothly and was a great MC. And for the affordable price, I could not recommend No Macarena and Alex more!

Joe and Mike provided a kick-ass DJ experience at our wedding. They were professional and personable from our first communication through the last song they played. We provided a few songs that were must-plays and they understood the assignment from there. We had multiple guests compliment their playlist during dinner and they kept the dance floor jumping!
They coordinated well with our day-of coordinators to make sure no cue was missed and kept the energy up through introductions, toasts, dinner, and reception.
Side note: I saw one of the guys take valuable time while they were breaking down their equipment at the end of the night to help one of our guests jumpstart their car. That’s the kind of ‘above and beyond’ mentality these guys have. They also have us some great recommendations for our “mini-moon” getaway.

My husband and I had the pleasure of working with Sarah and Chris for our wedding. To say they made the entire planning process lift a weight off our shoulders in the weeks leading up to our wedding is an understatement.
They were very communicative over the last year and a half and were always happy to answer questions. We added-on amber uplighting at our venue which turned out beautifully, and our guests absolutely raved about the photo booth! They were so happy to have hardcopies of their photos to remember the night. At the wedding, they helped coordinate some final details for us and truly helped the night run smoothly. They were great emcees, and the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception music was great. The music choices were an added bonus to the amazing team they have, and guests loved the playlists. We worked with Andres Fonseca from No Macarena for our wedding DJ-ing and could not be more pleased! We had a somewhat unusual wedding that was self-unifying with no officiant or bridal party so we really relied on him to help with timing the evening and announcements, and it worked well. The music and mixing for the dancing portion was, per our friends, "fire" (we agree). He was easy to work with, reliable, and really worked to understand what our vision was and make it come true.

The actual DJing was good! The pricing was a bit confusing. We thought we agreed to one price but it ended up being a few hundred higher- this was communicated to us by the DJ directly (Ryan) when we had our first call with him shortly before the wedding. He said many couples have the same confusion. Still a good deal but weird.
Our issue was with the Photo Booth add-on. The printer was not working so no one received the print outs we paid for. We also planned to use these for the guest book- with no print outs, no one was prompted to sign so we don’t have a guest book. The attendant stayed an extra 30 minutes which was nice. I had to email and ask for some sort of solution (multiple days later - they did not proactively contact me). I proposed a partial refund and that they print and ship the pictures so that I could mail them with thank you cards. I received a small refund. I never received printed pictures despite following up many times by email over 3 months. I was given explanations/excuses and told they would ship immediately. Then nothing would be received and the process was repeated. Thank you cards have already been sent so I don’t plan on following up again.
If you don’t plan on using the Photo Booth you might have a fine experience but the whole thing left a bad taste in my mouth.

Sincerest apologies regarding your pictures! We experienced printer problems at the beginning of our wedding season that, while now resolved, took time to navigate. We had a hard time ordering printers and supplies as there was a shortage at the time. Since you have still not received your photos, we will dig into what happened and reprint them for you so you have the hard copies.

My husband and I used No Macarena for our wedding reception and it was an incredible experience!! DJ Zach did an amazing job hyping up our crowd and reading the room. They’re super helpful in how detailed and organized the planning process is. I can’t stress enough that they will do EXACTLY what you want when it comes to the music at your event, whether you want to be completely hands on or hands off. I gave playlists and specific songs to be played at certain points of our day and everything was done exactly how we asked. Last minute we even asked Zach to stay an hour later than planned and he came through for us. This was the happiest day of our lives and No Macarena did an amazing job contributing to making it what it was!!!

Our wedding DJ Darrel was phenomenal – truly one of the highlights of our day! From the very beginning, he was professional, attentive, and totally in tune with what we wanted. He took the time to understand our music preferences, honored our “do not play” list to a T, and curated a playlist that felt so us.
He also had an incredible ability to read the room. The dance floor was packed all night long – people of all ages were up dancing, laughing, and having the time of their lives. He kept the energy high and the vibe perfect, smoothly mixing songs and adjusting in real time to keep the momentum going. So many of our guests have told us since the wedding how amazing the DJ was and how much fun they had – and we couldn't agree more.

We had a great experience with No Macarena and DJ Ryan for our small wedding. No Macarena was easy to work with and required only one call to set us up with the right person. DJ Ryan managed our outdoor ceremony, music for indoor cocktail hour and dinner on different floors, and a dance party that flexed for a multi-generational crowd. From the beginning the folks at No Macarena were so kind and helpful when planning our wedding. Sarah explained the process and was just genuinely friendly to chat with on our initial call. Leading up to our event, we worked with our DJ Josh on every detail & he was so flexible and accommodating to a ton of last minute song changes on our part. We had even planned a live song performance by the groom & wedding party relatively last minute that he swooped in and helped us manage with additional equipment, sound checking, and timeline finagling. He worked with our venue, coordinator, and their techs to make everything work seamlessly. Never once did they make us feel like a request was too difficult to manage - Josh was so nice and helpful the day of and everything went off without a hitch. I highly recommend No Macarena - affordable for the services they provide, and great to work with.

We worked with Alex from No Macarena and we are very glad that we did. We largely knew the songs we wanted played during the cocktail hour, dinner, and reception, but Alex worked with us to finesse the little details that made a world of difference. You want someone who is truly passionate about music to be your DJ during the most important day of your life, and Alex was and is exactly that.
Throughout the whole day, he brought enthusiasm, joy, and flexibility that made sure we felt taken care of. He never missed a cue and his announcements were filled with funny and thoughtful quips that our guests loved. As is common with weddings, we fell behind our timeline. Alex worked with us to accommodate and was calm and ready to go whenever we asked him to make a pivot.
We highly recommend No Macarena and Alex for anyone looking for their wedding DJ.

My husband and I worked with No Macarena for our wedding this past May, and we cannot say enough wonderful things about our experience. From start to finish, Sarah and Chris were warm, professional, and incredibly organized, guiding us seamlessly to find a DJ that suited our personal music tastes.
When we had to switch our DJ closer to the wedding date due to our original DJ being on tour, Sarah and Chris handled the transition with utmost professionalism and grace. We ended up working with Darrel, and we couldn’t have been happier! He was extremely easy to work with, kind, well-prepared, and immediately understood our vision. After our first virtual meeting with Darrel, I remember feeling a deep sense of relief knowing we were in extremely capable hands.
At our wedding, Darrel kept everyone on the dance floor all night, with an infectious energy that was enthusiastic without ever being cheesy or cliché. Many of our guests specifically complimented Darrel and his music selection/vibe. Darrel also went above and beyond to assist in any way he could, including making sure my mom, who was officiating a wedding for the first time, had her mic set up perfectly for our ceremony.
Overall, the team at No Macarena made our wedding music experience smooth, stress-free, and unforgettable. 10/10 recommend!

I was hesitant making a choice on a DJ because they truly carry the way the reception goes. I am so happy we went with No Macarena! Rod did a fantastic job, our dance floor was packed all night!! He sent us the songs we chose to confirm they were the right versions which was a very nice detail. I loved having a “must play” list and “No play” list. The music was perfect, our DJ made sure to only speak when it was time. I highly recommend No Macarena and Rod!

We had a great experience with our DJ! They kept the energy up all night and really knew how to read the crowd—everyone was dancing and having a great time. The transitions between songs were smooth, and they helped create an amazing atmosphere that matched exactly what we were hoping for.
The only small hiccup was that a few of the songs I had requested ahead of time didn’t end up being played. It didn’t take away from the fun overall, but it’s something to note. That said, the DJ was professional, friendly, and clearly experienced. I’d still recommend them for anyone looking to have a great time on the dance floor!
