Noggin Hill specializes in bluegrass and old-time music both instrumental and vocal. We thoroughly enjoy the chance to add our rustic, energetic sounds to wedding celebrations and are able to play for ceremonies, cocktail hours, dinner music, or reception/dancing music. We work with each client to provide a service package that fits their own style, budget, and imagination.
Our interpretation of this music, which originated in southern Appalachia, lends itself very well to a host of ideas: square-dances, barns, good whiskey, nature or farm inspired venues, foot-stomping, and old fashioned romanticism...

They are very professional, and set clear expectations of the services they can provide. Although many of our guests were not Bluegrass music fans when they arrived at our wedding, they certainly were when they left! The band was a major talking point throughout the reception and even months after with our guests. The stringed instruments throughout the ceremony were soft and beautiful. After dinner, Noggin Hill turned up the tempo and got everyone on the dance floor having a splendid time. If you are looking for an alternative to the typical wedding DJ/music, Noggin Hill is the way to go. The sound is classy, yet raw. Unconventional, yet rooted. We simply cannot say enough kind words to express the way the band captured the tone of our wedding and put it to music. They were truly at the heart of our wedding day!
