Our Venue is a vibrant brewery and dining destination that combines the warmth of an upscale ski lodge with the laid-back charm of coastal Maine. The space features high ceilings, exposed wood beams, and an open airy design. Our venue provides the perfect setting for everything from casual meals to special celebrations. Founded by three local dads - Michael, our Brewer; Tim, our Builder; and Jeff, our Executive chef. Our establishment is rooted in the Scarborough community, where their families live and thrive. Every detail, from our craft beer to our chef-driven menu, reflects our passion for quality and connection. We love weddings and offer a full buyout of our entire building (100+) or our upstairs Mezzanine and/or Patio (100 or less). We have an in-house Event Planner who will walk you through every step of the way.

Nonesuch River Brewing is a gem for a wedding venue! Their event team is top notch. Heather was our wedding coordinator, and she was phenomenal and so responsive. Her positivity, excitement, and attention to detail for our wedding showed through and she was an absolute joy to work with. I never thought wedding planning would be so easy until we met with Heather and the Nonesuch team. She made the entire planning process stress-free and fun! Heather and the event team made sure every detail was perfect for our wedding day.
The venue itself is gorgeous. All the natural wood inside makes it so warm and welcoming. We immediately felt like we were home the second we toured the venue, and we knew this was the place we wanted to get married. Every single Nonesuch team member we met with was so nice and treated us like a member of their family.
Our entire day went off without a hitch. Our guests had a blast and raved about the food, the venue, and the special beer we brewed with the Nonesuch team for our wedding! Everyone was so impressed. Heather and the event staff went above and beyond for us, and our day was better than we could have ever imagined. We couldn’t recommend them enough!
We had the best experience having our winter wedding reception at Nonesuch. We rented out the entire venue for about 120 people and there was a perfect amount of space for our guests. The brewery itself is beautiful and was great for wedding photos. Heather and her team were so amazing to work with, the entire planning process was so stress free due to the fact that Heather is so organized, patient,and fun to work with. We were able to do anything we wanted when it came to decorations (which Nonesuch set up for us), moving tables, and the food and drink menu-- we didn't feel restricted at all with the things we wanted to do. Our guests are still raving about the food and drinks almost 4 months later!
We cannot thank Heather and the Nonesuch team enough, they went above and beyond for us and we couldn't imagine a more perfect day. I would highly recommend having a wedding or any event at Nonesuch Brewery.
We just had our wedding reception at Nonesuch, and we don’t have the words to adequately express how amazing our entire experience has been with the team here. Thank you all so much for creating the reception of our dreams.
From the very beginning, Heather and the team made us feel welcome and at home while we were planning our reception. Heather is so attentive, patient and kind when it came to all of the details we asked for. She consistently communicated with us throughout the entire planning process, going above and beyond helping us have our perfect reception and always easing any anxiety we had. Heather and her and her team pulled off everything we asked for, and then some!
We had a small intimate wedding of about 40 people, and the upstairs loft and patio space was perfect for our group. The food and kitchen team made the best food! Marina also made our “dream cake” better than we could have even imagined! We also worked with Michael to create our own “small batch wedding beer,” and this was such a nice, personalized touch that they offer to wedding couples! Our guests are still expressing how awesome they thought that was, and how much they loved all the food and drinks.

Nonesuch River Brewing was the ideal place for our intimate wedding. From the moment we toured, we fell in love with the exposed wood beams, high-ceilings, and mezzanine. We rented the entire venue, which provided us with plenty of space for our guest count of 72. The atmosphere was comfortable and welcoming! Heather was our wedding coordinator and helped us through the whole process of planning. She accounted for each small detail from placement of decorations to timing of the event. Heather was patient, kind-hearted, and compassionate! Her and the rest of Nonesuch’s staff, from bartenders to servers, truly were incredible to work with.
The food was amazing! The chefs prepared maple glazed wings, warm pretzel bites, seasonal vegetables, and more mouth watering plates. Nonesuch has an in-house pastry chef as well who created a small cake for us to cut and apple-almond flavored whoopie pies for our guests. On top of this, we were able to collaborate with the brewers and create our own beer. This was an unforgettable experience!
Overall, Nonesuch River Brewing is a hidden-gem. We believe their comfortable atmosphere, thoughtful staff, delectable food, and innovative beer make their small-town brewery an ideal place to celebrate.
Heather and the entire staff at Nonesuch did an amazing job. Right from the my first inquiry about Nonesuch and having our wedding there Heather was always responsive. We live out of state but that made no difference we did most of the planning via zoom and then had one or two face to face meetings to get everything together. When it came time for our day I had no worries. We didn’t have to ask for a thing the day of our wedding. They were right on top of everything, from the food ( which is always amazing) to the drinks, and even unexpected props for a dance.
All of our guests couldn’t say enough good things about our wedding they were truly impressed. Thank you Heather and Nonesuch staff for doing an amazing job and giving us such an easy and wonderful experience.

Had a wonderful experience hosting a rehearsal dinner at Nonesuch River Brewing. we wanted a laid back, simply upscale brewery experience, with renown food and nice private space for gathering. Great beer adds to the experience too. We were so happy with the experience. Professional staff, helpful at every turn.
We held a bridal shower at Nonesuch and had a wonderful experience! Heather and her team were supportive, kind and accommodating. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone that wants support and the ability to be creative. It's a beautiful space with delicious food!
WOW!! We chose to have our wedding welcome party at Nonesuch on 7/23/21 and it was absolutely spectacular. We had between 80-90 people attend and rented out the upper level (mezzanine + elevated patio) to create the atmosphere we were looking for. This venue is incredible!! Everyone was so amazed at the beams, the vaulted ceilings, and especially the warmth and kindness of the staff. The food and beers were also delicious! Heather, the events manager, is a JOY to work with. She was communicative, kind, and present, and her pricing was very fair. If you're planning an event, look no further than Nonesuch River Brew Co.
The staff at Nonesuch truly go above and beyond! The space and location is beautiful (situated close to Maine's most beautiful beaches and a 10 minute ride to downtown Portland). We rented the entire space for our wedding, however, they have many options to beautifully accommodate smaller celebrations. Everyone that we worked with carried out our vision- even better than we could have imagined! They truly tailored everything to our requests. Heather could not have been more attentive, patient and gracious throughout the entire planning process. Jeff and Steve coordinated the freshest food and most delicious drinks for all of our guests. They worked closely with us on crafting the perfect menu for our tastes. Our friends and family have been raving about the food and beers since the wedding! All of our guests also spoke very highly of the wonderful staff! The night of our wedding Ali was there to assist our bridal party throughout the event. She was incredibly intuitive and attended to our every need- whether she was refilling a glass, arranging special plates, or locating the photographer. We appreciated having her take such amazing care of us! We would highly recommend Nonesuch River Brewing Company to anyone looking to book a wedding there. We have seen the space transform for different events and we are certain that no matter what the vision may be for their special day, the staff at Nonesuch River Brewing can make it happen!
