I haven't even been able to book them because they simply don't answer their phone. When they do, multiple odd people answer and have to yell out for someone else to get the phone....
It seems like their number might be a landline run out of their home. Yesterday I called twice, and each time a different person answered. After I asked for NorCal Sounds, they started talking to someone else and kept me on the line with no explanation. After the second time calling, they blocked my number. Very odd way to run a business, and I was really disappointed as the other reviews were so glowing.
Jonathan was extraordinary and we were lucky to have him at our wedding! He was incredibly easy to work with -- professional, diligent, and creative. And on the day of the wedding,...
he kept everyone happy and dancing.
Every part of the reception was very well-timed and coordinated. We couldn't recommend him more :)
My now husband and I are thrilled to sit down together and pen this review because we genuinely believe that Matt from NC Sounds played a pivotal role in making our wedding an abso...
lutely unforgettable experience. We want to take a moment to share with everyone just why that is.
First and foremost, my husband and his family have a profound passion for music, and it held significant importance in our wedding plans. During extensive online research for wedding DJs, my husband stumbled upon NorCal Sounds. A visit to their website convinced him that this was the company he was looking for. He reached out, and their responsiveness was remarkable. We scheduled a video chat, and from the very start, Jonathan's upbeat, friendly, and highly professional demeanor resonated with us. It was evident that they really knew what they were doing and we decided to book with them without hesitation. Matt, our DJ for the event, was set to handle our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception.
As the wedding day drew near, we arranged another call with Matt to go over the details. We were happy to entrust much of the music selection to Matt, but we did provide some guidance, expressing our love for oldies, early 2000s hits, and EDM. We discussed timelines, specific songs, and even the names of our family members and wedding party. Matt made a genuine effort to ensure he got the names right, which we truly appreciated. His reassurance during the call that everything would run smoothly, coupled with his early attention to our requests, put us at ease.
Now, onto the big day itself – it was nothing short of perfect, I mean, absolutely PERFECT! The timing of the ceremony was flawless, and all our requested songs played at precisely the right moments. Not a single detail was overlooked, and everything flowed seamlessly. Matt also provided microphones for our officiant during the ceremony, and the audio quality was excellent, with no interruptions and crystal-clear sound.
While we were not present at the cocktail hour, we didn't hear a single complaint, so we're confident it was fantastic. The reception kicked off with introductions, and Matt got everything spot on. Names were pronounced correctly, and all the songs we had requested were played. Our first dance unfolded beautifully, with Matt ensuring it began and ended at the perfect moments, creating a seamless experience.
But the real highlight was the dancing – Matt absolutely crushed it! He had everyone on the dance floor throughout the night. Matt is a true Disc Jockey (DJ) who can expertly mix songs and read the room. He seamlessly incorporated song requests into his mixes, and we had an absolute blast! Towards the end of the night, numerous guests approached us, seeking Matt's contact information and business card for their upcoming weddings. Many remarked that our wedding was the best they had ever attended, thanks to the incredible music provided by Matt.
Choosing NorCal Sounds was unquestionably one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. If you're contemplating working with them, our advice is simple – just go for it!
Wow! Our wedding night was truly magical, and a big part of that was thanks to NorCal Sounds. Here's a detailed breakdown of our experience:
Communication: From the very start, No...
rCal Sounds was prompt in replying to our queries and open to our ideas. We felt heard and assured that our music preferences would be taken into account.
Professionalism: On the day of the event, they arrived early, set up their equipment without any fuss, and were dressed appropriately for our formal event.
Music Selection: This was, by far, the highlight of the evening. They not only played our pre-selected songs but read the room incredibly well. There were tracks for the older folks, current hits for the younger ones, and classics that everyone enjoyed. There was never a moment when the dance floor was empty!
MC Skills: They weren't just a DJ – they were a master of ceremonies. Introductions, announcements, and transitions were smooth, and their voice was clear and engaging.
Flexibility: When we had some last-minute changes (like when my dad wanted a specific dance song), NorCal Sounds accommodated it without any issues.
Pricing: Considering the quality of service we received, the pricing was competitive and worth every penny.
Conclusion: If you're looking for a wedding DJ that's reliable, professional, and knows how to keep a party alive, NorCal Sounds should be at the top of your list. Our guests haven't stopped raving about the music, and we're so grateful we chose them for our special day. Highly recommend!
