I was willing to take this risk and hire someone who could bring new ideas and take classic photos that would remain timeless. On our wedding day, Don was calm as can be and made me and my husband feel at ease. Our guests couldn't help but rave about how awesome him and his team was. I have videos that other people sent me that night and all i kept seeing is Don clicking away to capture every single moment. I think it was his flexibility and experience that drew us to him. We took some engagement photos with Don in dtla, which was really fun! Another cool thing we took advantage of was their facebook photobooth, which is an open air automated thing so you are not trying to cram a bunch of people in a box. There are no print outs so there's no waiting for your photos, instead they are uploaded to facebook in 24 hours, which is what you were going to do with the printouts anyway amirite? We even brought our own props so that more goofiness could be captured :) By far one of the best vendors on our wedding list.

s, they were very unobtrusive. There were actually more photographers there than I realized, they blended in very well. Afterwards, I was able to see the photos they took. Very impressive! There was a range of styles... some obligatory posed shots for family, but largely candid shots of very beautiful moments. There was definitely an eye for those 'kodak moments', catching certain views, expressions, actions, etc. The kinds of things that when you look back on the day you're glad was captured. In speaking with our friends, they expressed a very similar feeling about the photos they received, and described a very easy process in dealing with them.

Photography is the best: 1) Don and Paul were an amazing pair, able to both deal with and round up some of our more distracted/unruly guests while still taking the time to determine the best and most creative photos. I received lots of compliments from my guests on just how nice and fun Don and Paul were - they were the hit of the wedding! 2) Aside from being incredibly easy to work with, Don has a fantastic creative vision and takes amazing photos. He is really able to look at a venue and determine what the most interesting and beautiful pictures will be. 3) Don also really listens to exactly what you want, and is very willing to work with you and be flexible to make sure you're getting what you envision 4) Finally, I think Don is an absolute bargain for what you get! Though his prices are not exactly cheap, he is an extremely gifted photographer who will make sure your wedding / event is captured in the most beautiful way on film. Choose Don and you won't be disappointed!

Our engagement session resulted in an incredible portfolio of work that put my fiance and me at ease about our wedding day photos. On our wedding day, Don's calm yet energized presence was perfect. He was very aware of time without stressing any one (especially me as the bride!). Due to newborn babies and other "surprises," bridesmaid hair and makeup was not done on time, which cut into our before-ceremony bridal party pictures. Don was able to rearrange and get done what we could do swiftly but without stress and assure me that we would get the rest after the ceremony... and we did! I know my husband was equally pleased with Rich, who did the guys' before-wedding shots. During the wedding and the reception, Don and Rich both demonstrated the incredible skill of being everywhere without being intrusive, enabling them to capture memorable moments without interrupting them. e lucky enough to find Don through our friends who had recently gotten married. One look through their engagement and wedding photos and we set a meeting with Don immediately. Once we met him and looked through more of his work, we were completely convinced and hired him on the spot. I am SO glad that we did! Both our engagement photos and wedding photos are beautiful! He has such an understanding of light and an eye for backgrounds and poses that look great on film. Don is also just so much fun to work with! We had such a good time at our downtown Los Angeles engagement shoot spending the day with Don and getting to know him. He had such a great knowledge of different areas and backgrounds in the city - we ended up putting one of our favorite shots on our save the dates and got tons of good feedback from our friends and family. One of the things that we appreciated most was that Don completely understood what vibe we were going for and steered us towards downtown - we had initially thought that Griffith Park would have been a good option, but THANKFULLY, Don understood that we would have been much more limited at that location and it would not have been nearly as intimate. Don persuaded us to go with downtown instead, with such great results. One thing that we really needed more than anything is someone with a lot of experience that could help to make our ideas a reality - we had no idea what we were doing and needed all the help we could get! By the end of the shoot, we knew that we could completely trust Don to listen to what we wanted and give us the best way to make it happen. At the wedding, Don and his assistant were in top form. They were both so great and putting us and the wedding party at ease. After the wedding, I can't count the number of people that made a comment about how nice Don and his assistant are and how professional they are. Don also provided an incredible photo booth at the wedding. It was "open" and different than any other photo booth I'd seen. Instead of photo print outs, all of the photos are immediately (and I mean by the time we were back to our room on the wedding night) posted to facebook. We had such a good time looking through them the next morning and reliving the night and seeing how much fun our guests were having. We got so much positive feedback from our guests, who were tagging each other and commenting on the photos for weeks. When we got our professional photos back, I was floored. There were so many that we loved it was next to impossible to narrow them down! After weeks of trying, we finally got it down to 75, which we submitted to Don's lovely fiancee (who is also his talented graphic designer) to create our book. In short, I would 1000 percent recommend Don as a wedding photographer. We are so pleased that we got the opportunity to spend time with and get to know him, and absolutely enamored with our photos. d wedding look special and a bad photographer can make an amazing wedding look bland. We did a lot of research and spoke with several photographers. After meeting with Don of Donald Norris Photography we knew our search was over. He was very professional yet personable. His work was exceptional and at first we were afraid he might be out of our budget. However, he was able to work with our budget and we decided on a package that felt right for us and our wallets. During the wedding, he went above and beyond what most photographers do and I never once saw him not snapping a shot. I've been to several weddings before and after ours, and I can't tell you how often I see photographers just standing around and not snapping photos. The pictures, of course, turned out amazing - unique, classic, dramatic, spontaneous, and just fun!! And the photobooth was a fun addition. I always recommend him to friends for weddings, family photos, and head shots.

We had a rowdy bridal party and they did a great job at keeping group photo shoots short, sweet, FUN and organized. We got our wedding pics back about 10 days after the wedding. Talk about Quick Service. Donald presented us 3- disks of high resolution pics as well as a disk full of low-resolution pictures that you can upload to facebook for example. He also made a really cute photo slideshow set to music. He is currently putting together our leather bound wedding album. The album samples that we saw were all very well put together. He works with a graphic designer who has a very creative eye and makes the albums pretty sweet. His photographs are art. He has an amazing eye and captures so much emotion, fun and candid shots. I feel he documented our wedding the best way possible. I can not say enough good things about his amazing work. You can tell that his passion is photography, and the end result speaks for itself. But, we knew the real test would be the wedding photos themselves. And they are amazing (I know that word is overused but it is really true). ntly, one of my wedding guests hired Donald for her wedding based on the photos he took of my event. His work speaks for itself, so I will comment on his work style and level of professionalism. Donald is very professional, yet also very personable, creative and has a "ready for anything" attitude. On my big day, he arrived earlier than expected at the hotel and took the time to survey the area to find good places to take pre-event photos, as well as candids of the wedding party as we got ready (yet he was very unobtrusive). I'm not normally comfortable in front of cameras, but Donald's infectious enthusiasm put me at ease so I could relax and enjoy my day. I was really impressed with the quality of the final products, both the images themselves as well as the slide show he put together, the full-size albums, and the mini-albums. A lot of guests took their own photos so it was interesting to compare their amateur shots (where things always looked a little "off") to the professional versions, which always looked better. In terms of doing business with him, Donald was also pretty responsive to my emails and phone calls (expect 1-2 days response time) and I never felt rushed to make a decision (a very nice thing for frazzled new brides). I sometimes wonder how he can shoot so many weddings every month, yet manage to be so excited about each one!

And on top of being an amazing artist, he is one of the nicest people you will ever meet! He was calm, cool, and collected throughout the chaos of the wedding day; he was not disruptive like other wedding photographers, yet (like one of my guests commented) "Don was out-of-sight while being everywhere at the same time"; he made all of our wedding party, family, and guests feel very comfortable and encouraged them to have fun, which eliminated all possibility of awkward, self-aware posed photos. My husband and I, along with our families and friends can't rave enough about Don! After our amazing experience at the wedding, my extended family has plans to hire him to do a family portrait and my husband and I hope to be lucky enough to have Don continue to document the milestones in our future (i.e. babies, holiday pictures, birthdays, etc.).
