r expectations! Tasted even better than the sample. Highly recommended!
Nicole and her team at North Country Cakes made us the most beautiful wedding cake I have ever seen, AND it tasted better than any cake I have ever had! If you are considering NCC ...
for your wedding cake, please just go for it because I cannot recommend them enough. I thought that we would have to have a wedding cake that would spend half the day in the fridge and would be covered in a thick layer of fondant to keep it structurally sound (not something I wanted at all!) because our wedding was in the Summer. Our cake had no fondant (hooray) and was covered in a beautifully delicious buttercream, and it was able to stay out in our reception area unrefrigerated for hours until the party started. Nicole was a joy to work with, and I can’t tell you how many people told me that it was the best tasting wedding cake they had ever had. I was nervous that the cake would taste delicious during the tasting sessions but wouldn’t be as good on a large scale for the wedding itself, and honestly, I think it may have tasted even better at the wedding. It was moist, decedent, and not overpoweringly sweet. Thank you so much Nicole for giving us the wedding cake of my dreams!
When I thought about my wedding dessert, all I wanted was to go back to the traditional wedding cake. But, being me, I also wanted it to be whimsical and fun. Nicole went above and...
beyond and delivered everything I asked for and more. She made a beautiful and DELICIOUS three-tier funfetti cake for us. I'm so happy to have the top tier in my freezer to dig into at some point. And, when I saw a rabbit-themed cake she made for Easter, I jokingly commented and said I'd love a cat one. She emailed me soon after with a drawing of a cat cake....and deciding to get it is one of my favorite wedding decisions to this day. She's a fantastic baker and a brilliant artist. Can't wait to go visit North Country Cakes when we're back in Vermont!
Nicole's desserts were the best part of our wedding, according to several guests. We loved that she had many gluten free options for the handful of guests we had that needed that. ...
We also loved her huge range of unique cake flavors, and loved our beautiful wedding carrot cake. We let guests take leftovers home, and some LOADED their boxes with her donuts and cheesecake! My husband and I had a box with a selection of each dessert to eat after the wedding and we were so sad when they were gone. Dessert was one of the most important parts of the wedding for me, and Nicole blew it out of the water.
Absolutely delicious! Nicole made us a red velvet cake with buttercream frosting and raspberry jam- it was a hit, not to mention how beautiful it was. We also did a tasting at her ...
quaint studio in Stowe which was a lot of fun.
One of the best cakes and pastries around!! My husband and I got married in the Stowe area a few weeks ago and working with Nicole was one of the best parts of planning our wedding...
. To begin, when we were looking at our wedding venue (Edson Hill) and they let us know they worked with Nicole my husband leaned over to me and whispered "that's the donut lady". Well needless to say Nicole was one of the reasons we booked our venue among many other. From our cake tasting, the design of our wedding cake, the communication back and forth with Nicole, to our donuts that we're devoured the next morning at brunch... I cannot rave enough about North Country Cakes. Nicole, thank you for making our wedding so special. I can't wait for another reason to come visit. If you're in the VT area and exploring for cakes and/or desserts, call Nicole!

ways very quick and organized with responses. For the tasting Nicole shipped us samples! (It was great to sit on the couch in pjs and try the cakes!). She worked with our florist that supplied the flowers and decorated the cake beautifully! And last but not least, the cake was so delicious! She allowed us to pick 2 flavors which gave our guests some variety. The whole experience was great! I would highly recommend Nicole and North Country Cakes!
One of the must haves at our wedding was a dessert table and boy did Nicole and North Country Cakes deliver! We discovered North Country Cakes (NCC) at a Jay Peak wedding tasting a...
nd used NCC for both our wedding cake and dessert table. Nicole was easy to communicate with and responded quickly to our requests. The desserts themselves not only looked good but were delicious. Our white wedding cake with buttercream and raspberry jam was devoured. Many guests came up to me and said how the peanut brownies we had were some of the best desserts they ever had. I still think about (and wish I was still eating) her cookies (the molasses ginger, snickerdoodle and mint chocolate chip were all amazing). Nicole set up the entire dessert table before the reception and created a visually pleasing masterpiece. Well priced and flawlessly delivered!
I gave Nicole a a general design idea and she made the perfect cake that was not only beautiful, but delicious! The strawberry basil cake was incredibly fresh- our guests loved i...

ke with choc and raspberry filling, and her german chocolate. Each one was amazing, so delicious and moist! We had so many compliments. She also made maple macaroons and raspberry choc french macaroons as our favors. People loved them. Nicole, also packaged our favors for us and set up our cakes beautifully with sugared fruit and flowers. Lastly, she offered us a few different cake stands to showcase our cakes. All were beautiful. I highly recommend Nicole. She communicates well, is professional, reliable and is very reasonably priced.
