ng our tour. At the time of the tour - Sarah was extremely welcoming and making it feel like we were apart of the Northern Haus family even before we were engaged! After the engagement happened Sarah helped us secure one of the last Saturday dates left in 2022. Within 30 minutes of being engaged we had a venue and a date. Sarah then shared the client portal with us which made the whole planning process so easy! I hear horror stories of wedding planning from many people and ours was a breeze! The only way I would want to plan another wedding is if I do it with Nick and Sarah. The day of the event everything was perfect. We unfortunately had to move what was supposed to be an outdoor ceremony inside due to a mini hurricane in November, but to no avail it was just as amazing! You would have never of guessed it was not our original plan. From getting ready in the Bridal suit & groom quarters to bar service and random odds and ends - we cannot say anything bad about Northern Haus, and would recommend them to anyone! Thank you to Northern Haus for welcoming us prior to booking our wedding and giving us an amazing venue to host our friends and family in a life long memory!

Northern Haus encapsulates and reflects everything we love about Door County: its angelic beauty, simplicity, and charm. Our wedding day was nothing short of pure elegance and absolute perfection because of Northern Haus. Our photos demonstrate how gorgeous not only the venue, but the nature around Northern Haus is. Simply magical locations surround Northern Haus, like the swaying grasses and wildflowers in the wind, the aesthetic crisp white barn on the outside, and rustic yet modern design on the inside. It makes for spectacular photos that will be the talk for years to come. Northern Haus gave us everything and MORE for our wedding day and EXCEEDED our expectations. One of the many aspects of the venue our guests loved was THE BAR. There are not many wedding venues where guests can sit and stand around a full service bar, offering speciality drinks, a loo of alcohol choices, and top notch bartender service. On top of that the glassware that is provided within the bar package is absolutely beautiful and will fit any brides anesthetic wishes. Additionally, our guests loved the indoor-outdoor open space during cocktail hour. It gave people flexibility to to mingle around and explore everything that Northern House has to offer. Our guests could not get over how stunning this venue was. When my husband and I toured Northern Haus for the first time we knew the moment we walked in those doors that this place was something special. It gave you “that feeling.” And “that feeling” on our wedding day is what made it feel like we were living in a real life fairy tail. We feel so blessed that we had the opportunity for Northern Haus to host our wedding day. Sara and her husband were nothing short of amazing. Seamless organization that Sara has in place that makes the planning process stress-free. It was one less thing that my husband and I needed to worry about knowing that Northern Haus was so accommodating, reachable, and unchallenging. Northern Haus will always hold a special place in our heart, and for years to come we cannot wait to share the beauty that it gave us for our wedding day. Undeniably mystical, and angelic. Sara makes things very easy to plan with a compete vendor list, customizable packages, and a large list of rental options to complete your day. We used Sara for our day of coordination and things went perfectly, even having to make a last minute change to move the ceremony inside due to weather. Sara and her team made things seamless and were very accommodating the entire day! We are so grateful to have had the opportunity to get married in such a beautiful location and highly recommend the Northern Haus for any big day!

our wedding – it was absolutely perfect. The venue itself is stunning – the perfect blend of country meets modern-farmhouse-industrial-chic. The expansive property offers an intimate outdoor ceremony space; a beautiful back porch & yard for socializing, yard games, & a bonfire pit; and the natural beauty surrounding the venue is perfect for photos. Sara was so wonderful to work with. She is very much a part of the community in Sister Bay & provided a list of recommended vendors to work with. Sara is extremely organized & responded to all of my questions/ concerns promptly, which is huge in terms of reducing the stress of planning a wedding from out of state. Sara was very willing to help with anything we needed to ensure our wedding day was perfect. Both Sara & her husband were present at the venue throughout our day to ensure things ran smoothly, which truly meant a lot. At the same time, the staff & bartenders at NH were second to none – so kind & friendly to our guests. Our friends & family cannot say enough good things about Sara & her husband, the staff, & NH itself. It truly is a dream venue & we would highly recommend it to anyone looking to have their wedding in Door County.

I can’t tell you the amount of stress and wedding planning struggles we avoided because of Sara’s creativity, flexibility, and enthusiasm for every change I made (and there were a lot!) We hired Sara for day of coordination and I think it was one of the best choices we made for the wedding. Everything was so seamless. The room was set up to perfection, and Sara was willing and excited to incorporate any personal touch we wanted to use. She also had such amazing ideas for our floor plan, table settings, and flow of the reception. We had over 200 people and everything went off without a hitch thanks to Sara and her team. We cannot recommend Northern Haus enough!!

We also added the day of coordination service, which we HIGHLY recommend doing this. Sara took all of the stress and worries off of our plate, and allowed my MOH and mom to enjoy the day with me as well. I can’t imagine anything that could have been better, the venue is so stunning and the forest retreat is even more beautiful than pictures can capture. the location was. Between the outdoor ceremony space and the barn, it was an absolute dream venue for us. On top of that, the staff was fantastic! Sara & Nick are such a welcoming couple and make you feel comfortable right away. Sara was extremely responsive throughout the entire process and went above and beyond helping us with all aspects of planning. We are so lucky we decided to get married here. There was something so magical about having a weekend up in Door County with all of our family and friends and this venue was everything we could have asked for to make that happen. An outdoor space with seating and arch provided and the indoor space furnished, open, welcoming, modern and accommodating. Let me just state that my husband and I live about 3 hours away from this space and as I mentioned - we had never seen it in person. Sara was responsive and organized and we decided to recruit her as our Day of Coordinator. If you go to the venue without taking advantage of this service - you're shorting yourself! We could not have been more blessed to have Sara there as a calming influence guiding the day along and taking things as they came! Our whole event from the start of planning to the end of the night and beyond has been truly remarkable and unforgettable! The outdoor and indoor spaces are clean and unique to your day with a floor plan you get to customize! We had beautiful wood tables provided to us and a special entrance from their upstairs loft area. Our guests also took FULL advantage of their champagne wall and bar services. We loved working with Sara and the entire staff and would most certainly recommend them to anyone looking to host their wedding there!

Door Country Creamery helped out with cheese/charcuterie, as well as the most delicious s'mores gelato. And McEvoy's Culinaria grilled out for our guests. Northern Haus even arranged outdoor games and actual s'mores, which our younger guests loved. Sara and Nick will help you transform your vision into a reality. They will take the stress out of the process and make it memorable and enjoyable. On top of that, they are incredible people!

All of these things that made us initially fall in love with Northern Haus became nothing compared to the actual experience we had with Sara and Nick through the year + of planning and day of experience. Upon my first inquiry and probably until the end of time, Sara will be and was so responsive and helpful with any request or question we had. There were so many things I wouldn't have ever even thought of when it came to planning a wedding, but it didn't matter, because they had it ALL covered. We had switches to guest counts, additional drinks added to our package, a scramble until the morning of to decide if we would move the ceremony indoors because of the rain and they handled it all with such grace and professionalism. Our wedding day was an absolute dream, the team there really makes you feel special and calm, like it's your best friends handling your wedding and they want to make sure everything goes perfectly. We could not possibly be happier that we chose Northern Haus as our venue, it along with Sara and Nick are in our hearts forever.

We had Sara as our Day of Coordinator and the day went so, so smoothly. I know we owe it all to her outstanding talent and organization. While my bridesmaids and I were preparing for the ceremony in the gorgeous Luxury Suite, I had time to truly relax with my closest friends and family while Sara coordinated set-up and deliveries with my other vendors. She handled details I wouldn't even have known to cover and made the day such a breeze. The venue's sprawling property also made our portraits super simple. Everywhere you turn on the property is a new and gorgeous photo setting, so far we have only received a sneak peak from our photographer but every photo so far is stunning! Not to mention, the venue's setting in Sister Bay made for such a fun weekend for all of our guests. Everyone loved exploring the charm of Door County's boutique shops, unique restaurants, and wineries on the coast of Lake Michigan. So many of our guests told us they had never visited Door County before but would certainly be back. Thank you Sara and Nick for helping us create the wedding of our dreams!!

The event order is a great tool, because it gives you all the options and costs to let you customize your wedding to your liking. The pricing was a little bit of a shock at first, but after the event I wouldn't have changed a thing. I'm a big believer in paying up for quality and customer service and that is exactly what Sara and Nick provide. Set up was easy because you don't have to do much to spruce up the natural beauty of the venue. We had our ceremony out back in the woods on a perfect 77 degree sunny day and it was gorgeous. Mature trees offer plenty of shad for one side of the benches in the afternoon for the guests to sit in. I would recommend the golf cart service for the trail, especially for older guests. The bartenders were polite and efficient. The alcohol minimum was a little confusing to us at the beginning but Sara worked with us to minimize it as much as we could as we aren't big drinkers. The brides prep room is absolutely perfect, plenty of room with plenty of mirrors and counterspace. The grooms room is significantly smaller, but has a sink, mirrors, fridge and TV. Overall, we cannot think of a single thing that we would have changed besides slowing the night down. We didn't want it to end. Thank you Sara and Nick for making Chelsea's wedding dreams come true!

We were finally able to hold our wedding in May of 2021 and it was worth the wait – something we were not always sure of after planning for twice as long as we had hoped. Sara was my Day of Coordinator, which I truly could not have done without. She is meticulous, hardworking, organized, calm, and gracious. Our night ended with an incredible, over-the-top guided wine and scotch tasting that Northern Haus put together for us. My fiancé and I truly would not change a single moment of our day, and we have Sara and Nick to thank for every bit of it!

were offered an alternate date to postpone to next year but ultimately decided to go ahead with our original wedding date. We had planned to have our ceremony in the Forest Retreat outside, however the rain didn't hold out long enough. At 2pm the day of the wedding we had to pivot last minute to an indoor ceremony and boy it did NOT disappoint! The forest retreat is truly an amazing space and initially we were sad we weren't able to use it but the way our vision came together when it was time to walk down the aisle it couldn't have been better. Garrett and I loved our "getting ready rooms" and the bridal suite is totally amazing. Nick and Sara truly thought of everything. As a bride I especially loved having my own space to touch up makeup and hair, and my own bathroom that the guests didn't know about. The bar is gorgeous and we loved being able to have an indoor/outdoor flow even with the rain we were able to utilize the covered patio. It became a really valued space to our guests especially in light of covid-19. We couldn't have imagined our big day any other way and we truly couldn't have done it without Nick & Sara! They were so flexible the day of the wedding and really just wanted our vision to come to life no matter what, which it did. We are forever grateful and so sad it's over! If you're thinking about getting married here, do it! You won't regret it! Northern Haus is a great addition to a town that is already so special to us. A top notch venue in a top notch location. Not only did they help coordinate the day of the wedding, but were able to attend as guests! We truly felt like they were part of our wedding party and we wouldn’t have asked for it any other way. They were there to accommodate every guest and made the day worry free! During the planning process, we were hit with the elephant in room, COVID. My wife and Sara poured all their blood, sweat, and literal tears into making COVID non existent, all while following every rule from the state and the CDC. They kept us updated through every change and we were never out of the loop. The event space, totally breathtaking. The incredible details these two put into building this place is amazing. It’s modern, chic, farmhouse, industrial; truly amazing and has the potential to make it what you envision! We went extremely light with decor because it definitely doesn’t need much; it’s gorgeous on its own. The outdoor ceremony space is so romantic and inviting; surrounded with trees and lights, and delicate rock detail at the wooden alter space! They have worked extremely hard on their preferred vendor list and based on every vendor used from this list, they have nobody but the best! We had multiple big changes in planning the wedding and Nick and Sara were so incredibly accommodating with every change. We enjoyed ourselves so much that day, we extended our hours the day of the event and they were more than accommodating with this change! We were so lucky to have the extended time to dance, laugh, and spend time with family and friends! For anyone that is considering Northern Haus, look no further and book them ASAP. You will NEVER regret your decision! You may end up with wedding blues (like my wife) due to the day being so perfect, thanks to these two! You’ll want to redo your day over and over! The stunningly-gorgeous architecture, impeccably maintained grounds, and exceptional customer service makes Northern Haus the ‘only’ venue to consider for your wedding or event in Door County. On the day of the wedding, Sarah and Nick (owners) attended to our guests’ every need. They even anticipated many needs and acted on them before a guest could notice or before we had to ask. They are patient, flexible, and generous with their time…the three best customer service attributes a client could ask for!! ze. Every time we visited the venue it was pristine and beautifully kept. On the day-of her staff was friendly and attentive and made the day flow effortlessly. The bridal suites are beautiful and made for a very comfortable getting ready experience. Northern Haus is such a fantastic addition to Door County and we can't rave about it enough!

have to leave until the end of the night. The bridal suite is beautiful and very functional. We had enough space for two hair stylist and two make up artists for our bridal party of 6. They commented on how they wished that every venue had this space for their team. This venue is so breathtaking. There is endless places outside on the 30 acre property to take pictures. My new mother and father in law were able to rent an old truck to make the pictures even more unique. The forrest retreat where we had our wedding ceremony was astounding and felt like something out of a fairytale. Even though it is a walk out to the forest retreat they have a very convenient golf cart rental that is available for anyone to use. We had an open bar and were able to pick Spotted Cow to be on tap which was a hit! The bartending team was amazing and their cocktails were delicious. The venue fit our four-person band perfectly, the sound was great and there was plenty of space for the band and a dance floor. Last but not least Sara and Nick were great to work with. Their dreams of a perfect wedding venue really shine through Northern Haus and you can tell how passionate they are about the venue. We really appreciate how they thought of everything you needed on your wedding day. Sara and Nick really care about each individual couple that they are hosting. They are very attentive to their clients and will do almost anything for you to have the day of your dreams. My husband and I could not be more happy to have chosen this venue for our special day. The whole day went flawlessly and we cannot thank Sara, Nick and the Northern Haus team enough.
