d definitely have our wedding there, so we booked it. From there until our wedding, Lauren kept in touch with us reminding us of our remaining balance and was courteous. We reserved the event from 5PM-12 AM, where we were told clean up could be from 12-1 AM and the bridal party could get ready in the dressing rooms. We were also told decorations could start as soon as Monday before the wedding. Two weeks before the wedding, Ms. Reyes informs me by caterer could come Thursday, which worked out as my my caterer ended up needing only Friday, but it should’ve been first rest flag. Then we get there Friday, the building is fresh in the ballroom, but the dressing rooms are like ovens with fans blowing. We call Ms. Reyes who informs us not to worry, the air conditioning is not on but will be. I trust her, leave it at that. I arrive Saturday at 11 AM, the day of my wedding, to an even hotter dressing room with the same fans going off. I call Ms. Reyes, no answer. I try multiple attempts, but always get her VM. I try a different number, am told they will send maintenance, but A/C has been on since 7AM. The send maintenance who state the A/C units are down and have been for a while. I call the different number and speak to John who states he can’t help me, that is Ms. Reyes’s job and only she can fix it, but won’t arrive until 3 PM - even though she initially assured us she and her team would be on site for anything we needed early in the morning. While this is going on, the hair and makeup team arrive for the bridal party. They are troopers and get started in 80+ degree room. I’m trying to be patient, the only help I get is another fan. John finds me and tells me Lauren is on her way with a portable A/C, which turns out to be a second fan and water cooler fan where I have to replace the ice and water, of course, no one tells me this. No one ever cools the room, but even worse, no one did anything about it nor apologized except for the supposed maintenance man. We also paid for 2 professional bartenders - Lauren was the bartender and another woman who took forever on one drink, so that the lines were long, but they made sure to add gratuity on all items in the contract, although they did a poor job. They also told my caterer to start packing at 11 PM as the entire party needed to be out at 12AM. My husband had to go and tell them it was already set until midnight. My parents and I walked down the aisle drenched in sweat. At the end of the night, a staff member explained the A/C never worked and they have never fixed it, but are aware of the situation. My husband and our families made them best we could of the situation, but please do yourself a favor and don’t use this venue. Make your day special and find somewhere that has all components working with staff that actually care about you and your day. If someone responds to this, they may try and make it look like I’m lying, but even my photographers took pictures of the dressing room and the bridal party are first hand eye witnesses of everything that occurred.
