aveling in from Chicago, the biggest question we had was who would we find to marry us as we were not getting married in a church and we were not local. We wanted to find someone that would bring a personal touch and was trying to find the perfect person that could be a part of such an intimate moment in front of our friends and family. I had read some reviews and we based on great reviews, we went with Crystal. We opted to pay a bit more to have a more personal ceremony and it was one of the most unique and great ceremonies!! Guests commented on how personal it was and what a special ceremony it was. She spent time leading into the ceremony to really get to know us, and those close to us to create such a truly special ceremony for us. Since we don’t regularly go to church, we were in search of an officiant, and we were also a little nervous about having someone we couldn’t meet in person before our rehearsal. We got Crystal’s name from the preferred vendors list at Castle Farms. From the very beginning, Crystal was professional but warm, and made us feel comfortable the whole way through. She always got back to us in a timely manner, answered all of our questions, and really cared about making our ceremony special. After only talking to us 2-3 times, and also interviewing our parents, she created a ceremony that seemed like she had known us for years. I had so many people come up to me and my husband complimenting us on how beautiful our ceremony was, and how it spoke to who we are. From the devote catholic guests to the not so religious, everyone enjoyed our ceremony. I would not have wanted anyone else other than Crystal, and it turned out better than we hoped. also open minded since I has some fun surprises planned for our ceremony. Our wedding venue provided us a list of recommended officiants, and Reverend Crystal Yarlott was listed first. After visiting her site to learn more about her, I became excited because she seemed like the perfect fit. However, since the ceremony is the heart and soul of the wedding itself, I figured I ought to exhaust all possibilities and see what I could find on my own. The more I researched, the more convinced I became Rev. Crystal was the officiant for us! I proudly showed my fiancée the fruits of my research, and she agreed Rev. Crystal seemed to be a great choice. After emailing Rev. Crystal, she got back to me the same day, luckily letting me know she was available on our wedding day. Just a few weeks later, we scheduled a virtual meeting (since ours was a long-distance destination wedding) to get to know one another and discuss particulars. She was so fun to talk to, and it was quite obvious she’s passionate about her work. Over the following months we kept in contact, and she always responded quickly whenever we had questions. One thing we really enjoyed were the monthly newsletters she sent us, which always include helpful tips and advice, much of which we used. As the big day drew nearer, she continued to be supportive, and she worked with us as our vision of the ceremony became clearer and clearer. Since neither my wife nor I have been part of a wedding party before, we requested a rehearsal to ensure our big day went smoothly. Rev. Crystal was punctual, and it was so nice to finally meet her in person! On the day of the wedding, I was the first person to walk down the aisle, and it was comforting having Rev. Crystal’s gleaming face to walk toward! Since my wife and I had opted for a rehearsal, we had a general idea of how our ceremony would flow, but what we didn’t know was how Rev. Crystal had chosen to implement the personal anecdotes and details she knew about us from our discussions and those she’d had with our family to make it extra special, and she certainly did an amazing job! Our ceremony lived up to our perfect vision of what we hoped it might be, which rarely happens in life, and Rev. Crystal played a HUGE part in that! We couldn’t recommend her enough to be your officiant too!

The ceremony itself was perfect - she talked to our friends "behind our backs" to get a sense of who we are as people and incorporated personal touches into the ceremony. She also came to our rehearsal (extra fee, but we wanted her there), and I'd highly recommend you do the same. She really took all of the anxiety out of the process and directed us through all the steps of the way. We got SO many compliments about how she made the wedding ceremony fun, but it also had a good message with a lot of substance. There were some tears from our guests, but also a lot of laughs. My husband and I highly recommend her!

. Due to the fact that she took so much time to do so, I got compliments left and right about how everything matched us in every way. It is difficult and overwhelming to think about the notion of finding someone you trust to marry you, especially given that we were a good 6 hours away from home for our wedding. There was not a thing we worried about, and Crystal sure took care of us! It was a beautiful ceremony and also a wonderful rehearsal with her. We are so glad we found and landed on her for our special day.
