Ben is one of the most genuine people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting! He was the first wedding photographer I had met with & then I met with 19 more after him. He is so laid back and easy to work with that it was so much fun working with him for our engagement photos and on our wedding day. He comes to your rehearsal and is all day coverage which was awesome-- and as a lone shooter he didn't miss a beat! (He has 2nd shooter options if needed). He told him many times he didn't have to stay until the end, but he insisted & it was certainly worth it. Our pictures make me tear up every time I see them. Ben Barnes did a wonderful job with our wedding photos! Ben was the photographer at a friend's wedding, and after seeing how beautiful her photos were it was a no-brainer for us to go with Ben for own big day. HIRE BEN BARNES!! I'm not kidding, he is seriously the best. He is so flexible, professional, and takes stunning photographs! I decided I wanted to take our engagement pictures outside after a fresh snow fall. Not only was he willing to take our pictures with a few days notice, but he was also at the park early, scoping out good places to shoot (in 20 degree weather!). Our pictures are breathtaking! For our wedding, he came to our rehearsal to get acquainted with the venue and the flow of the day. I have never seen a photographer do that before, but it was amazing and so appreciated. Jaw-dropping photography!! When we set out to look for a wedding photographer, we knew we wanted someone to capture the natural, candid moments of our wedding. Ben Barnes exceeded all of our expectations. Not only did he have great ideas throughout the day for photo opportunities, but he was there the ENTIRE wedding day from the time we started getting ready until the after party was kicked off. Ben Barnes did our engagement photos last spring and our wedding this past fall. He did a great job on both occasions of making us feel comfortable and at ease. During our engagement session, he had a lot of great ideas and captured some great shots. For our wedding, he was with us the entire day. Ben does a great job at making you feel really comfortable, which I found very important. During the wedding, I barely noticed he was there, yet he captured so many wonderful moments. The photos are BEAUTIFUL and the turnaround time was so quick! I have received so many compliments on the quality of the his photos and I can't believe how good he made us look! I have a very expressive face so I worried that I would look ridiculous in a lot of them but he made me look great :) He had a great price for the whole package. Ben Barnes did an amazing job with our wedding. His photos turned out great in both a "capturing the moment" way, as well as from an artistic perspective. When all you have from your wedding are photos and memories, those photos last a lifetime, and we plan to show these photos to our kids and grand-kids with pleasure. My husband and I worked with Ben for our engagement photos as well as on our wedding day. It is important to mention that Ben is fantastic to work with. He does a great job of helping you forget he is there, which leads to a natural look- nothing forced, nothing too "posey". I absolutely loved all of our engagement photos- it was hard to choose what to use for the Save the Date! Our wedding photos could not be more perfect. They are creative, natural, artistic, classic, and most importantly, capture the mood of the day. Our wedding day ended up being perfect---even with the fact that the weather was a complete NON-STOP downpour of rain that eventually turned to sleet by the evening hours. That being said, my biggest concern was where we were going to take pictures. I didn't want to stay in the church as some of those pictures can be a bit sterile. I also tried to reserve the state house ahead of time, but unfortunately there was another wedding the same day. Ben had a great idea to go to the main Columbus Metropolitan Library. It was beautiful and offered unique picture opportunities. (And it was free!) He did a great job of organizing the groups and managing my husband's lack of love for taking photos. He blended in with the group and at the reception. He also stayed the entire time and was sure to say bye followed with "this was a really fun wedding." (I think if your photographer says that, you've succeeded!) He captured some really great dance shots during the party. I would HIGHLY recommend him. The best part is you get pretty much the same package and quality as the other photographers in the area...but for a reasonable price. Go for it!! He rocks!

I knew my choice of photographer would impact how I remembered my wedding for years to come, so it was not a decision I made lightly. And I definitely made the right choice! I met with a handful of photographers, keeping in mind the price point and the style, and personal rapport as I did. My fiancé and I had our engagement photos done prior to this as we don't live in Columbus, and had taken some notes with regard to what we were looking for. In our first meeting, Ben met all my criteria - he was professional yet friendly, showed a genuine interest in who we are as a couple, came in at a price point lower than other photographers I met with, and I liked his work better than many others I had seen. From the outset Ben was flexible with our photo package - since we had our engagement photos already done and it was included in the package we selected, he added in time at our rehearsal dinner. Now comes the wedding weekend - the true test! And Ben exceeded every expectation I had! He was constantly present to capture every moment, yet he was so unobtrusive you hardly even noticed he was there. I think someone in a previous review called him a ninja - and I agree! Our guests were raving about him before the night was even over - he somehow managed to be everywhere at the same time, and capture even the little moments. I really didn't think it was possible! I don't think there is enough room here to rave as much as I would like to about Ben Barnes photography. We are so happy with our photos and the whole experience. Choosing him as our photographer really is one of the best decisions I made!

We met with several photographers prior to choosing one for our wedding- I found picking a photographer to be so hard, because I was having trouble clicking with several of the people we met- until we had the pleasure of meeting with Ben. He is so friendly and easy to get along with, and made our engagement session very fun and laid back. He showed up on our wedding day early in the morning when we started getting ready, and stayed until the very end of the reception at 11:00PM- capturing every moment that we wanted. When we got our pictures back from our wedding day (only 3 weeks after!), I could not have been more pleased with how they turned out. We felt like he really captured our personalities in our photos, and nothing felt too stiff or staged. We would highly recommend Ben!

Ben was not only fabulous to work with, he was there ALL day! He was very flexible overall with my requests and the photos were amazing, but capturing the moments that slipped by so fast was priceless. So many photographers charge by the hour or charge more for extended days. Ben was there from the moment I said go to the music stopped at the end of the night. I loved looking back at some of the things I loved about the end of the night (including one shot with wedding crushers I it!) to my friends singing with the band on the last song. While the formal pictures are incredible, I think I a, most thankful for him being there and capturing those moments! I cannot write enough positive comments about Ben. He is an incredibly gifted photographer who really specializes in creative, candid, artful photography. Our pictures are truly an artistic documentary to the day. He also is able to totally nail posed pictures too. Ben was with us from 9am at the salon until the END of the reception (at 11pm). He also came to our rehearsal to see how the ceremony would flow so he could be even better prepared on the big day--which was his idea. We just got our pictures back this week and are speechless with what he was able to capture without us even knowing he was there! We truly didn't need a videographer (so glad we didn't pay for one) because Ben captured every moment of the entire day. He got incredibly poignant expressions and interactions between my fiancé and I, our wedding party, and guests. Looking at our pics feels like we are re-living our wedding day. Many of of my bridesmaids (who are already married)" said he was the best photographer they have ever worked with. On top of all this, Ben is down to earth, comfortable to talk to, and easy to get along with. He helped to keep the stress low on the wedding day and had a very calm presence, but was also very good at directing people in photos, even my large family. He even gave one of my bridesmaids a ride to the church from the salon so she could have extra time to do her make-up. Great communication throughout the entire process, highly professional. This guy has it all and was reasonably priced given the time, talent, and work he put into our day. You will not be disappointed with Ben!

Our experience with Ben Barnes photography was perfect in every way. Beginning with our first consultation, Ben was informative, courteous and professional. My husband and I were engaged late in the year and despite cold and gloomy weather during our "engagement session," Ben produced beautiful and stunning pictures. You could never tell from the photos that the weather wasn't great. There was also some questionable weather on our wedding day, but again Ben's amazing ability as a photography produced stunning photographs. On the wedding day, Ben provided complete coverage of the events beginning with me at the hair salon through the last dance at the reception. After we went through our pictures (which Ben got back to us very quickly), there was not one event throughout the day that he did not capture beautifully. We never had that moment saying "I wish we could have had a picture of that..." because Ben got it all. It was truly a pleasure working with Ben throughout our wedding process and I could not speak more highly of his ability as a photographer and his professionalism. We have already recommended him to all of our unmarried friends!

I was first drawn to Ben's work because of his creative style. I knew I didn't want just your standard, posed, and formal looking wedding pics. Ben definitely delivered. He went above and beyond for both our engagement pictures and wedding pictures! Ben did a great job capturing all of the best moments of our wedding while remaining behind the scenes. In fact, my husband and I couldn't believe some of the shots he got because we had no idea that Ben was anywhere near us during that time! Not only my husband and I, but also our families and friends are incredibly impressed with the photos that Ben took. In addition to Ben's amazing pictures, he was incredibly friendly and very easy to work with. He definitely made us feel very comfortable. I know I emailed him numerous times with random questions and he was always willing to work with me. His turn around time for getting the pictures back to us was great too! I loved that we only had to wait a few weeks because. Ben's talent with a camera and artistic eye come through in all of the 900 and some pictures that we received. I would recommend him to anyone and everyone a thousand times over. Ben and his photos were absolutely perfect and more than I could have ever dreamed of!

The theme of our wedding was the Great Gatsby/1920s. Ben did a great job of capturing all of the small details with our decorations as well as getting wonderful staged photos. The best part of using Ben as our photographer though was all of the natural shots he was able to take. Ben has an amazing eye for capturing photos that aren't posed, and these ones are the best pictures from the day. The photos he took were so great that the venue has contacted us and asked if they could use some photos of our wedding for their advertisements and website. I would hire Ben again in a heartbeat.

We hired Ben Barnes to do a photo re-shoot. Our original photographer that we hired for the wedding was a bust, we had next to no pictures from our wedding day of my now husband and I so we told him our situation and he basically did an engagement package for us for 250.00 and we went back out to our wedding venue. I got back in my wedding dress and my husband re-rented his tux and Ben did 1 hour and 15min of pictures on June 9, 2013. We got them back last night and they all look amazing! He really did a great job and we really wish we had hired him in the first place! Would definitely recommend to anyone! They truely are beautiful pictures!! Working with Ben was wonderful! Our engagement pictures were great and you could not even tell that it was raining a little. Our wedding pictures were better than anything I could have asked for. Ben was professional and great to work with. He managed multiple locations on our wedding day and managed to capture every moment! After getting our wedding pictures I was even more amazed by his work. I would recommend Ben to anyone for both quality and price.

Ben Barnes is such an amazing photographer! He is not just a photographer, but also a very talented artist. His incredible coverage of the entire day left us with memories to keep for a life time. Of course we were nervous when it came to decide who was going to be our photographer and we couldn't have been happier with Ben. Ben was so wonderful meeting with us several times and put us at ease. Ben was there for our rehearsal dinner, while we were getting ready for the ceremony, the ceremony (of course), and the reception all while being stealthy and we never knew he was there taking our pictures beyond the portraits. He did an excellent job capturing our emotions and story of the night. The pictures are amazing and even the DVD arrived in a beautiful booklet. Ben always stayed in touch with us before and after the wedding to keep us up to date with the happenings. We are so lucky to have found Ben. He was absolutely amazing and we recommend him a thousand times.

I can look back at my photos today and remember my wedding like it was yesterday! I felt like a daughter or sister to Ben, the way he treated our day like it was his own. Ben's creativity inspired so many beautiful and candid pictures. All my husband and I could question was how he was in so many places at one time- he caught everything on camera! His kind personality put us all at ease during such a nerve-racking event, everyone enjoyed his company and we will to this day consider him a friend to us. We've also hired him since then to take family photos. Ben is so very TALENTED; his eye for lighting, candid moments and suggestions for certain pictures that now we look back and are so happy he made those suggestions. We had him photo our rehearsal and rehearsal dinner, he took photos of my hair & make-up getting done the next day and every person that came to our wedding reception he got a photo of them with either my husband or I so all of our guests had something to remember that day by! He traveled to a park to take our wedding pics after the ceremony, they were so lovely! I even left my blusher veil there and Ben went back to get it. I think we had a little over a 1000 pics when it was all said and done- if I needed anything tweaked after the wedding with the photos, he gladly did it and quickly too. The prints that we got from him turned out beautifully- only the best quality and shipped quick. I could go on and on but I will close with saying that Ben was the best choice, out of all the decisions I had to make, for my wedding. Ben is amazing!!! He was so wonderful to work with; all the way from my first meeting with him to when we received our wedding photos (which was well before I had a chance to even ask on when we'd get them). He is so easy going and makes you feel completely comfortable. His photography style is fantastic; he's not intrusive AT ALL and he's a true professional. Ben was absolutely amazing! He came to the rehearsal to test lighting and to scope out the venue, he came to my house to photograph the bridesmaids and I getting our hair and makeup done, and he spent the whole day at the venue. He was very quick to get the photos back to us and they look BREATHTAKING! He is such a creative photographer and the photos are stunning. He is also super responsive and very professional. I would definitely recommend him!

I can't begin to say enough good things about Ben. From the very beginning, he was professional, friendly, and prompt in responses. We just received our wedding pics back (2 weeks after the event-so quick!) and I am so happy. He captured the entire feel of the evening. I was able to re-live precious moments as I scrolled through his photos. I kept receiving compliments at our wedding about how "cool" our photographer was. Ben was professional in every way. He some how managed to capture every shot with out ever even being noticable. For group shots, he gave us direction with out seeming bossy. There are so many pictures of everyone from us girls getting ready to all the fun at the reception. The photographs Ben Barnes took of my June 16th 2012 wedding were absolutely amazing! Ben recently photographed my wedding and I was absolutely thrilled with my experience. Ben far exceeded our expectations with his honest and touching work. We interviewed a few photographers and connected with Ben immediately. He is wonderful to work with, very laid back and observant. He was with us the entire day of our wedding and captured moments as they happened and made us (and everyone in attendance)look good. We were more interested in candid shots than in the more traditional posed shots and he artfully documented everything. We also did traditional portraits with the family and they came out excellently. His artistic style translates to very unique photographs -- your wedding album will be unlike your friends' (in a very good way)! Ben barnes was our photographer for our June wedding. We could not be more pleased with the photographs Ben took. We chose a unique wedding venue and Ben showed his artistic ability. Ben Barnes did a fantastic job photographing our wedding in April. We have had many, many compliments on our photos. He is laid back and very personable (aka...very easy to talk to and work with) and he makes sure that you get the shots that you want, plus so many others. He even came to our rehearsal to meet everyone and took photos. Some of my favorites are the candids that he shot during the wedding and reception. Ben was an incredible photographer. Worth every penny. There was not a picture that we didn't love. He was really committed and easy to work with and flexible. I am so glad we chose Ben to do our wedding photographs! He was very affordable but offered us a TON of options for our money. In addition, he volunteered to show up for our rehearsal the day before and the salon the morning of, without charging any extra. He was great on the wedding day as well-- he had wonderful ideas for formal picture settings, and he got lots of candids as well. He did a great job of getting all the right shots without being in our faces at all- He was very professional, but super friendly and even if I had to do everything over, I would still pick Ben!
