The food was outstanding & very plentiful -- a consistent review that we heard from guests. The bartending staff was friendly, and always made sure that the bride & groom were satisfied. Would recommend this venue to anyone! The fact that we had the whole venue to ourselves was one of our favorite selling points!

t the time of our wedding, the banquet manager was Jessica Conlin. She was great to work with, although she no longer works at Northville Hills now. However, her replacement was there on the night of the wedding observing and helping out. Hopefully the new banquet manager will be just as good and have a similar system for planning and executing wedding events. We were provided with a very thorough planning form and all details of the reception were carefully discussed in three planning meetings (food tasting a few months before the wedding, one-month meeting, and 7-day meeting). Northville Hills is a slightly smaller venue, with a maximum capacity of 200 people. We had about 185 guests so our wedding filled the room to capacity. The room layout allowed our guests to have a good view of the first dance, cake cutting, speeches, etc. Northville Hills also has a nice patio and lawn behind the banquet room, where guests can go during cocktail hour and dancing if they want. Our wedding day was very hot and humid, but many guests still enjoyed being outside. We had several young children at our wedding (my husband’s nieces and nephews) and they liked having the open space to run around a little. The food was also excellent and we received many compliments on how delicious the dinner was. Overall, we give Northville Hills a very high recommendation based on a great wedding day experience, personalized service, and several amenities at an affordable price.

Northville Hills is a stunning venue where you will never have to share the venue with anyone else, so the entire staff is there for just you. Diane is in charge, and gave me so much advice along the way. We clicked right away, and I could tell she truly wanted our day to be magical. Jessica has a huge role there too, and she was also super knowledgeable and good to us. The waitstaff and bartenders were so skilled and friendly, I never had to worry about a thing the entire day. They set up the room for you too, so I didn't have to bother aunts and friends to set up centerpieces and decor. Everyone could just show up and have a great time. The food was unique and incredible- definitely not "banquety". The per-plate cost is cheaper than you'd think if you don't have an open bar, but we did, and it was so worth it. We didn't have to stress about a ton of decor, because the venue is beautiful on its own. The windows, tall ceilings, and crystal lighting decorates itself. My husband and I paid for our own wedding, and every penny spent at Northville Hills Golf Club was beyond worth it. We had about 130 guests, and could have fit up to 180. There was plenty of room to dance, walk around and talk to people, and have a photo booth in the lobby area. Outside was magical, especially at night. When you walk by the pond and look back at the building, you see the glow of lights, hear the music bumping and people laughing just oozing out of the windows and doors. You could also see so many stars, and hear distant crickets and calming wildlife. Diane and Jessica felt like family by the end of it all, and I'm hoping one day to have an event to have hosted there once again. Do yourself a favor and have your event here. You will have burdens lifted that you didn't even know you'd have.

ntive and even set a few of each appetizer on our table in front of the groom and me. That being said, it's a beautiful location but with terrible management. I started my process with Mandy, but once she left I was solely working with the general manager of the entire club. I would have to call/email multiple times to ever hear back from her. However, her hand was always out when it came to payments. We were supposed to have a call a week prior to the event and I waited for her to email me to set it up, but never did. Then, the Friday night a week before the wedding, emailed me with 10 questions and an invoice for my final bill. It was completely overwhelming. The last straw was when I was standing, waiting with my wedding party to be introduced as Mr. and Mrs. She approached me, again in front of my wedding party, telling me about a minor vendor mistake I made. It was not only embarrassing, but something the bride shouldn't have even had to know about until after. I was shocked at her audacity and my whole wedding party couldn't believe that happened. Overall, I would not recommend this venue unless you don't care about not getting responses and having to wait 15-20 minutes each time you have a meeting. This venue was unprofessional, rude and stressful. Unless they hire a new person who specifically handles events again, take your money somewhere else!

he venue. The day of the wedding it rained and we were given the option to have it indoors. Thankfully the rain held off during the ceremony so was able to have it outdoors, but loved having the back up option if needed. They provided a great package deal for us, the food was great and Mandy was wonderful to work with! In addition, we were the only wedding/event at the venue, which made it feel very personal to us. I would highly recommend this venue!

The bar ran out of ginger ale early, the bartenders ran out of blue moon (they didn't tell Mandy but as soon as I told her she ran to the party store and arranged more to be delivered). The food was SO good, but the portion sizes were significantly smaller than we had at our tasting. However, I'll take quality over quantity every day. Overall reception was great, Mandy was amazing and I couldn't have asked for a better night!

Our reception was set up EXACTLY the way we had wanted and discussed with Mandy before that day, and everything went perfectly as planned! Also, the food was delicious, the bar was stocked and flowing, and all of the staff were great at their jobs. It was a great experience!

We made our own centerpieces and it took a lot for me to give control over to someone else. Mandy set them up perfectly! The whole night was perfect! I wouldn't have changed a thing!

(our wedding was 9/8/12). She was AMAZING! Anytime I emailed her, she was quick to respond and always so helpful. The first time we tasted the food, we didn't like the chicken option we had picked- Emily was happy to let us come back and try 2 other chicken dishes and we ended up liking both of them. Also, I love popcorn (as in I could eat it everyday). When we were discussing having a late night snack station, it got brought up how much I loved popcorn. Emily and the chief came up with 4 flavors of popcorn to have as one of the late night snacks. It was so good! I could go on and on about all the ways they were wonderful. We had our ceremony and reception at Northville Hills and we are so glad we did. Emily and the rest of the staff is the best!

Throughout the entire wedding planning, Emily Anderson was extremely helpful and took the time to listen to every little detail that we asked for to be done on our big day. On our big day the venue was beautifully setup by Emily and Staff. The food and dish presentation prepared by the Chef was fantastic and very delicious. Overall, we are extremely happy that we chose to have our dinner reception here at Northville Hills Golf Club. Thank you Emily and Staff for going above and beyond, and especially for making our big day a very memorable experience!!!

I work Dr's hours so it was hard for me to come in at a convenient time to meet with her during her work hours, so she would stay late just to make sure we could get all of our meetings in and not be rushed. We had a truly unconventional wedding and Emily understood that from the start and was able to accommodate us with every off the wall idea we came up with. I also had my bridal shower there. Emily and the staff did a great job with that as well. I highly recommend the Northville Hills Golf Club if its in your list of considerations.

Diane had a lot of recommendations, but always did it in a way that never seemed pushy. She is a bit of a stickler for the rules, so don't think you can go in and do whatever you want with her venue! We had a few doubts as the date approached, but on our wedding day, everything was great. The food turned out great and we had a ton of compliments on it and the bar service. My only complaint from the entire evening was that guests - and my husband and myself - would have to hunt down servers for drinks and our table was cleared off of everything - including our glasses - every time we stood up to say hello to someone. At least the room always looked neat!
