Jamie was a dream to work with for my daughter’s May wedding. She took my daughter’s rough ideas and ran with them. The bouquets, table arrangements, staircase greenery, alter flowers, and pew markers were all gorgeously arranged and certainly exceeded our expectations. It was a pleasure!
Jaime was patient with me as I was a long-distance bride struggling to explain exactly what I wanted. EVERYTHING WAS BEAUTIFUL. I could not have imagined more beautiful altar pieces as well as my bouquet. The only thing I knew I wanted was for my bridesmaids to hold mini calla lillies and Jaime took that and made it everything I could have wanted. So happy with Norton's!!
Not a couple...but my choice if hubby gets hint, end result desired was 5 stars!!
I needed"pick me up" flowers for a quarantined mom. Linda went above and beyond to listen to my wants on delivery including colors and my picky preferences on mixed flowers. Mom was over moon pleased and 8 days later they are still perfect and blooming from some buds! Thank you, thank you thank you. She is STILL loving their bloom process and length of life. Best 75 bucks spent in months!
I will admit, I did not put much thought in the flowers for my wedding. I knew nothing about flowers and really relied on George’s expertise. And wow did he not disappoint. Our wedding florals turned out to be show stoppers. George put together arrangements like nothing I could have ever imagined. And at significantly less than many other local vendors. I will use Norton from now on for any floral needs.
George was wonderful to work with and the flowers were beautiful. Just what I had asked for.
We went to Norton's with a basic idea of what we wanted, but not much detail in mind. Rita talked to us, and was really able to make something beautiful that still incorporated a lot of our personality and style. We're very pleased, and would recommend Norton's!
The flowers for my wedding were absolutely beautiful. They were reasonably priced and the colors were gorgeous. My initial consultation went really well, and the florist seemed to inherently understand what I wanted and made excellent suggestions. However, in the weeks leading up to the wedding, my inability to get in touch with the events coordinator had me panicking. I started calling three weeks before the wedding as instructed to make my final payment and to confirm my order. The wonderful woman at the front desk assured me that I was on the calendar, and that the events coordinator would call me back. Other people were not so helpful--being forwarded to a direct line or told to call a cell phone number, both of which had full mail boxes was an exercise in frustration. Well, I called back every few days up until seven days before the wedding, and still I couldn't get in touch with the person in charge of weddings. Ultimately, my fiancé had to call and speak to a manager before the coordinator got on the line to take my payment and confirm my flowers, all of which took only five minutes. Day of everything was beautiful, but the stress of the previous two weeks wasn't ideal.
Rita, the events coordinator, is amazing. I went to her with a very small budget for just a few flowers, not knowing what I wanted or even what different flowers were called. She sat down with me for about 30 minutes, made some great recommendations based on my color and style preferences, and put together a package that was well within my price range. We ended up ordering bouquets, boutonnieres, and corsages using white & green hydrangeas, white roses, green hypericum and Picaso orchids. My aunt also ordered matching arrangements from her for a bridal brunch.
I wasn't sure exactly what to expect but I wasn't really worried, because Rita definitely knows what she is doing. When the flowers showed up (had two deliveries to two different locations, both on time), I was impressed - they were exactly what I wanted.
My photographer said that my bouquet was one of the nicest he has seen. He may have just been being nice, but I don't think so. That dude has photographed a ton of weddings.
These people are pros for sure! They showed up early and helped me to deal with another vendor that almost ruined my wedding! My bouquet was the most beautiful bouquet I have ever seen. All the flowers were beautiful and the staff was so helpful!
I LOVED my flowers. When I walked in, i wasn't sure what i should use but they helped me and made them absolutely beautiful!
They were so great to work with. All the flowers were beautiful in our wedding thanks to everyone at Nortons
The flowers turned out very well. However, there was a mistake with my centerpiece for the ceremony. It was not a fatal error and we were able to work around it, but still it was a little irritating.
Nortons florist was by far best value that I found in the Birmingham area. Rita was very nice and she understood my vision perfectly. The flowers turned out amazing. She even set everthing up without any direction from me because I so busy on my wedding day. The value and the service was exceptional!
The events coordinator at Norton's was so easy to work with. She really "got" my day and the look and feel that I was trying to create. Not only were my bouquets absolutely beautiful, but the centerpieces and and flowers were the groomsmen and mothers were stunning as well. I couldn't have asked for anything more!
I could not have been happier with the results and I LOVED all the flowers HOWEVER I had very hard time getting someone to call me back or even email me back with questions I had untile the day before the wedding. It turned out great but caused me a lot of stress.
These issues occured the day of wedding
-A call was placed at approximately 2:30 pm about a missing flower girl’s wreath which was delivered at approximately 6:00 pm. Pictures had to be repeated with the flower girl after the wreath arrived.
-Drape for open window area was not delivered until call was made to florist.
-We had discussed colorful flowers—lavender and peach roses, bird of paradise, and ginger. We received light pink roses and white orchids.
-The table cloth rented for wedding cake table was not delivered.
-Flowers for the wedding cake table were not delivered.
-Flowers on cake were extremely sparse, and were not the peach and lavender roses we discussed in a picture I showed you during the meetings.
-Florist didn’t not work with Summit Club events coordinator and ice sculpturer for placement at the reception entrance after we had discussed and mapped during meeting.
-Florist didn’t respond to second phone call to correct issues in reception area.
I met with wedding coordinator twice, and they refunded items not delivered, and gave us a credit at florist. Florist tried to please the customer even though there were issues at wedding.
J. Ross did amazing work on the flowers and using those to help create an overall look at my ceremony and reception. He is so creative and I loved every idea he came up with!
Let me start by saying that the flowers at the reception were beautiful. Not necessarily something to rave about but very pretty and for the most part exactly what I asked for.
The flowers at my ceremony, however left quite a lot to be desired. I asked for an arbor that we would stand under for the vows and when I saw it I was pretty appalled. A $450 arbor should NOT look like some grass was thrown on it and 2 little flower buds placed on top. I hated it. Then he put these "sprays" on each side of the arbor that basically looked like some tall grass...
Not what I paid for, not what I expected to get, not worth the money.
excellent flowers! working with j. ross he really captured what my vision was and ran with it. not being very particular with the specific flowers i wanted and more with the feel of what i was going for, he was able to create what i was unable to describe. all of the bouquets for the bridesmaids and my bouquet were unbelievable. the flowers for the reception were very well done and made the reception venue simply gorgeous.
the only thing i would say is to keep on them as they are very busy. he was a bit hard to keep in touch with far in advance, however he was very organized and did an incredible job with everything!
