About this vendor
NOTA DJ Services is a wedding entertainment company based in Sioux Center, Iowa, creating elevated reception experiences for couples who want their wedding night to feel smooth, personal, and unforgettable.
Founded by Alex Mauricio in 2014, NOTA has grown into a trusted team of professional DJs and MCs known for more than just music. Alongside experienced team members Dave and Craig, Alex helps couples create celebrations that move with intention — from the first announcement to the final song.
The NOTA approach is built around the full reception experience. Music matters, but so does timing, energy, communication, and the way each moment connects to the next. Through guided planning, personalized music selections, confident MC work, and thoughtful coordination with vendors, the team helps protect the flow of the evening so couples can stay present and enjoy the celebration they planned.
Alex also offers bilingual English and Spanish DJ and MC services, helping couples create a welcoming experience for families and guests from diverse backgrounds. This is one of the ways NOTA makes celebrations feel more personal, inclusive, and connected.
Couples working with NOTA have access to a specialized planning app designed to simplify details, organize music selections, and shape the timeline with clarity. The team also offers enhancements such as ceremony sound, photo booth, uplighting, cold sparks, and other experience-driven additions to help create the right atmosphere.
With NOTA, couples receive more than a playlist. They receive a wedding entertainment team focused on flow, energy, guest experience, and the moments people remember long after the night ends.
Let’s make it NOTAble.

e envisioned it. He took the time to listen to everything we wanted and made us feel like our wedding was just as important to him as it was to us.
On our wedding day, everything flowed so smoothly because of him. He kept the night moving, played all the right music, and made sure every special moment happened exactly as we had planned. He went above and beyond to make our guests feel involved and kept the dance floor full all night. You can truly tell that he loves what he does and wants every couple to have the best experience possible. We are beyond grateful for everything Alex did to help make our wedding unforgettable. We couldn’t have asked for a better DJ, and we would recommend him to anyone without hesitation. Thank you, Alex, for helping make one of the best days of our lives absolutely perfect!

ing for, and we found a total gem in Alex. He was not only so so wonderful and helpful in our planning process (helped us outline a timeline, asked us about details we hadn't even considered, and was generally so knowledgeable and helpful), but made our big day not only go smoothly, and feel comfortable and so fun! He was flexible, played our playlist but was able to take requests, and always catered to exactly what we wanted, all with a warm and friendly energy. We couldn't have asked for a better DJ or person to be there for our big day! All this, and one of the best prices we found after lots of digging in the Iowa/Midwest area. 10/10!
Alex and his team are amazing! They listen to what you want and make it happen! So kind and a stranger to nobody! The best we could have asked for!
