They do have beautiful, if expensive, dresses.
But, also horrible customer service. Once you've placed an order and they have your money, they are incredibly unresponsive and unhelpful. I ordered my dress from them in April 2016 and was told I would receive my dress at the end of December or early January. It is now the middle of March (my wedding is mid April) and I have still not received my dress. Obviously I am very stressed about this. They have shown no concern that I may not have my dress in time for the wedding, have not followed up on emails when I ask about my dress, and in general give off an attitude that they do not care about their customers.
On top of all that, I purchased my dress during a trunk show before my family was able to come in to town, just a few months later. They told me that they would try to get the designer to send another sample dress for when my family was in town so that I could still have that special moment with them, trying on the dress. NOPE. I called a few weeks before my scheduled appointment to come in with my family, and they didn't even know who I was, let alone tried to get the trunk show dress for me. I had also requested a swatch sample since the dress was pink, which I asked for twice, and never received.
Overall, I just hope no other bride has to have this type of experience dress shopping and stays far away from here.
If you're looking for the dresses they carry, just book a Southwest flight for $49 and take a short trip to LA instead... where you can pretty much find all the designers they carry anyway, and save yourself the headache & heartache of dealing with this bridal salon.
This small boutique has a selection of the most elegant and unique couture dresses. We knew when we entered the salon that it is a cut above the the other places we'd been. Stunning dresses; each different from the next; great variety of tasteful styles. Beautiful designer gowns that don't need gimmicks. You can see the quality in the fit, the details, the fabric. Outstanding. Not a place to find 'cheap'. They understood our budget and we found exactly the right wedding gown thanks to Chantal & Saida.
My experience at Nouvelle Vogue was unparalleled compared to the other bridal salons I visited. I left another salon where they had I dress I had fallen in love with to go back to Nouvelle Vogue because I was so much more comfortable there!
Chantal & Saida are just lovely. It's a small & intimate space where you feel you are amongst friends.
The selection is also the best in the area. I will be recommending Nouvelle Vogue to any and all of my friends shopping for wedding dresses in the Bay Area!
Since I am living on the other side of the U.S. from my mom, I wanted to shop for a wedding dress with her in New Hampshire as opposed to the Bay Area. However, once I found my dream gown (the intricately laced Aspen by Jenny Packham), I needed to find a really good seamstress to get it fitted to me. I made a call to one Jenny Packham stockist who said that they couldn’t help me and recommended a seamstress in SF instead. Upon reading the Yelp reviews on this seamstress, I decided to continue searching. Nouvelle Vogue is another Jenny Packham stockist in San Mateo and I gave them a call, all the while keeping my fingers crossed. Chantal answered the phone and was completely and utterly professional, polite, and helpful! Without even much being said on my part, she immediately agreed to lend the services of her seamstress, Pari, who she said is unparalleled when it comes to fitting bridal gowns, especially ones as complicated as the Aspen. I was very much relieved! I did give myself enough time, starting the fitting process in mid-August 2013 for a May 2014 wedding. On all of my visits, Chantal, Saida, and Pari were amazing and genuine. They made me feel like a celebrity with their attention and friendliness. Pari’s work is superb! Chantal and Saida have created a stunning bridal salon with amazing and hard-to-find bridal designers. I was sad that I hadn’t shopped at Nouvelle Vogue originally so that I would be able to try on all their gorgeous bridal gowns. Their collection of accessories are equally amazing. I wanted a particular kind of retro/vintage headpiece (no veil) and I found exactly what I was looking for in their collection of Maria Elena headpieces. Yes, the pricing is more on the high end, but you get extremely high quality pieces, gowns, and tailoring. If you want to spend the money on a more expensive bridal gown, you definitely do not want to scrimp on the seamstress and acessories! I highly recommend Nouvelle Vogue to every bride!!
Beautiful Dresses with a price tag to match. Great Service
The women at Nouvelle Vogue helped me to find a beautiful dress. I had looked at several other places, and ended up finding a sample here that they had for sale! It was unique and beautiful, and fit my personality. Their dresses are definitely something special, beautiful fabrics and designs. They are on the pricier side (at least for what I was looking at), but maybe you will get lucky like I did and find a sample on sale!
