Paulette couldn't have made the process any easier. Communicating with her was a breeze, and she understood exactly the kind of vibe we were going for. And then of course we were blown away when we received our wedding photos. They're stunning. Paulette captured our energy so well, and we're so lucky to have such gorgeous photos of our day. She's amazing!

Working with Matt & Paulette was a dream, and I knew they were the right photographers for us when I looked over on the dance floor and saw Paulette taking photos on Mattt's shoulders- they will get the shot!! They were so wonderful to work with and we can't wait to get our full album back!

Paulette and Matt are such a dream to work with! From the initial contact they were so professional and responsive, and also warm and enthusiastic about our unique event! You can feel their love for the work in every image. They captured the joy and color of our wedding day better than we could have every dreamed, being everywhere at once, making every moment feel comfortable and natural. Their eye for light and color is amazing! (Plus, a few months before our wedding they turned up in 20 degree weather to shoot our spontaneous outdoor elopement, bringing their magic to that day as well!) Our friends and family have raved about their work and style, and they will absolutely be our first choice for photographers in the future.

The best wedding planing advice I can give to you is to book Paulette and Matt as your wedding photographer! We did an engagement shoot, boudoir shoot, photo booth and our wedding photos with them and we have been blown away by the talent and creativity of these artists! Gorgeous, intimate, authentic, romantic--the photos Paulette and Matt took of our wedding last weekend blew us away. The way they work with lighting is incredible. Their professionalism, kindness, and easy-going demeanors made it an absolute pleasure to spend our wedding with them! They helped us pose in ways that felt comfortable, but also captured the unexpectedly beautiful moments. The day after the wedding, we received our "sneak peek" photographs--it was the best "day after" gift. I would book Paulette and Matt again in a heartbeat and cannot recommend them highly enough.

Paulette and Matt were absolutely amazing!!!!!!! My friend recommended them and after taking a peek at their gallery I immediately fell in love with their style. They have a way of capturing every moment and more discreetly. We had our ceremony on the beach 8 months prior to our reception so only wanted to book for a few hours with them. We had tons of unexpected last minute COVID cancellations including our DJ. Paulette and Matt stepped in to help unasked and unexpectedly. They were the most amazing vendors at our reception and made the night relaxing, fun and carefree regardless of the stress we were under. I would use them over and over for all of our photography needs.

We worked with Novella Photography and it was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. I was looking for a photographer that had an artistic style but could capture candid moments. Novella did both beautifully!! I am so happy with the variety of photos we received. They also make a point to photograph all of your guests, which is really unique and special. We were SO happy with Novella Photography! We hired Matt and Paulette for our wedding, they were fantastic. They were so professional, communicative, and easy to work with, and their photos were incredible. They did a great job of capturing everything we wanted to get photos of, and a lot of things we hadn’t thought of but were great to have. Their photos are stunning–they’re lively, really well framed, and genuinely captured the love and excitement of our wedding. They took a great mix of portraits, staged photos (family shots, etc.), and action shots that captured the energy of us and our guests. And they sent us a sneak peak of some of our favorite photos almost immediately after the wedding, so we could share them with family and friends right away while we were waiting for the full album (which we got a few weeks later). Paulette and Matt are the most amazing wedding photographers!! Extremely laid back, fun but very professional all at the same time. They are so subtle, you don't even know they are taking pictures during the most important moments: ceremony, first dance, reception. Many of my guests mentioned they didn't even know where they were standing during our ceremony to capture such amazing pictures. My husband and I have been to many weddings where the photographers were obnoxious and intrusive, Matt and Paulette are the extreme opposite of that. All of their photographs were incredible, I honestly can't stop looking at our wedding photos and basically show anyone I come in contact with how great they are. Matt and Paulette are the top echelon of photographers and we were so lucky to have them on our special day!

Having Novella Photography capture our wedding day was one of the best choices we made for our wedding. We were one of those couples that originally planned on having a 2020 wedding, and Paulette and Matt were so understanding as we canceled and replanned everything. In general, we hate having our picture taken...so the thought of spending a day with photographers following us around seemed...less than ideal. Thank GOODNESS for Paulette and Matt! Not only did the photos come out amazingly fun, and beautiful, we genuinely had fun with them on our wedding day. Not even sure where to begin. To put it simply, Matt and Paulette captured our day PERFECTLY. We knew we chose the best photographers when they offered to drive from western Massachusetts down to NYC to do an engagement shoot with us. It was such a memorable day and made us so excited for the big day. Leading up to and on our wedding day, Paulette and Matt were calm, organized, and so pleasant to work with. We felt like everything was handled behind the scenes and we didn't have to worry about anything. What we loved most is that everything truly felt natural, and our photos reflect that. These candid photos make us so happy and are photos we love looking back on (rather than mostly staged photos of groups/people). Finally, and just as importantly, Matt and Paulette have the most creative style that captured our day in a fun, artistic, and genuine way. Our wedding guests still talk about how Paulette got on Matt's shoulders during a dance circle so she could grab an aerial shot. We couldn't recommend them enough!!! Choose to work with them and it will be one of the best decisions you make.

Paulette and Matt were the perfect pick for wedding photographers! They provided advice leading up to our wedding day on how to streamline taking family photos, and managed to get every family photo on our list in record time so we could get to celebrating! They did such an amazing job documenting the day - I was astounded by all the moments they managed to capture. This couple kicks ass ;) they were a delightful addition to our group! We had a private hiking elopement and they trooped up and down the mountain with us with no problems, they truly went above and beyond anything we could have asked for and our pictures (so far we’ve gotten a sneak peak) are stunning! The best photographers I've ever heard of anyone having for a wedding! They have amazing vision, amazing commitment, and are just all around great people. They were easy to coordinate with, so professional & easy to work with on the day of, have a great sense of humor, and the follow up after the wedding has been so quick and easy. We just received our final usb with pictures and I won't spoil the surprise but we were even blown away by the attention of detail given for that, too! Amazing, talented, one of the best wedding decisions we made!

Paulette and Matt were AWESOME. Definitely book them if you can. I've been to a lot of weddings lately and these two are the BEST example of my favorite kind of wedding photographers... a C.P.C.... or Cute Photography Couple. The two of them work really well as a team because they're a couple in real life--and, in addition, it makes them really fun to work with. And they happen to be REALLY talented to boot. They honestly seemed so happy and to be having so much fun together shooting our wedding, which put us and everyone else at ease and made our photos way better. This manifested, at its best, with Paulette riding on Matt's shoulders to get cool aerial shots of the dance floor during the reception, which came out amazing. Paulette and Matt were great communicators through the entire process. They responded quickly to emails, asked thorough but not annoying questions, offered to have calls or meet in person whenever we wanted, etc. And they were flexible the day of when our timing changed slightly and when we had to make some game-time decisions about locations to shoot photos. After the wedding, before our hangovers had fully passed, they had already sent us a "sneak peak" of photos (which looked amazing) and were a really great bookend to a great weekend. These two have a really great way of trying to capture people looking natural, not posed. And trying to capture the event and people in an authentic way, not at all generic or cookie-cutter. They also were geniuses when it came to finding great places to shoot; we did our wedding in December in upstate NY, and so it was too cold to do much outside. But they managed to find great spots to shoot interesting photos within the premises of our venue that many photogs would never have thought of--like some fun shots of us and the wedding party behind the bar. They even took us up into the attic of the building, which was this sort of abandoned industrial space with old-timey windows and exposed brick, and got some amazing shots there. They made the most of what we had and it really was worth it. In general, I could not be more happy that we went with these two!

I don't know where to start... maybe that is why it has taken me so long to write a review! Matt and Paulette were stunning and so is their photography. The groomsmen had a little too much fun under Matt's direction and came up with some fantastic shots! Paulette was like a woodland butterfly capturing the scene of us girls getting ready from angles and perspectives that made me wonder where she actually was when she took the photo. We also had some amazing drone shots of our ceremony, which we love. Paulette and Matt captured our fun, casual, colorful, laid-back wedding down to all of the details. They truly told the story of our day through photographs that we will cherish forever. Each photograph captures a unique moment in time... the quiet space between the chaos, the small things you see after the deep breath, those little moments of peace away from all the other expectations that come with hosting a wedding; the part that would be impossible to remember while all of the big stuff is going on. For that I am thankful. It is easy to be comfortable amongst friends and Paulette and Matt give that feeling to you right from the start. Thank you Novella Photography!

Paulette and Matt are phenomenal! Our day was perfect and they were instrumental in that. We are terribly camera shy but Matt and Paulette made us feel so comfortable. They are professional, easy to work with and so sweet. They showed up early and walked the entire venue/property to find places to take our pictures, which were all amazing. They captured every moment perfectly and our sneak peek had friends and family calling us about how stunning and magical they were. We had an overcast day with some late night rain which we took advantage of. They shot the most perfect rain picture that had me getting calls,texts and messages about who our photographers were and how they can book them. Later in the night while the party was in full swing Paulette was on Matt’s shoulders getting pictures of our friends and family having the time of their lives. They are so dedicated and passionate! Matt and Paulette love what they do and it shows in their quality and brilliant work. I have no words to express how grateful we are to have had them at our wedding. All I can say is BOOK THEM, you will not regret it!

Photography was my top priority when researching wedding vendors. I reached out to Paulette & Matt two years prior, without having booked a date or venue because I was so in love with their work. Throughout the entire planning process, these two were a dream team. They are talented, professional, prompt, kind, and tons of fun. We absolutely loved working with Matt and Paulette and would honestly get married again just so they could shoot our wedding. Paulette and Matt were truly incredible to work with for our Maine May wedding. We wanted mostly candid photos of our family and friends laughing and loving and they did a beautiful job. They also pulled our (large) families together for photos with ease. Their photos captured the spirit of our day and our love. They're perfect.
