We just received our final usb with pictures and I won't spoil the surprise but we were even blown away by the attention of detail given for that, too! work really well as a team because they're a couple in real life--and, in addition, it makes them really fun to work with. And they happen to be REALLY talented to boot. They honestly seemed so happy and to be having so much fun together shooting our wedding, which put us and everyone else at ease and made our photos way better. This manifested, at its best, with Paulette riding on Matt's shoulders to get cool aerial shots of the dance floor during the reception, which came out amazing. Paulette and Matt were great communicators through the entire process. They responded quickly to emails, asked thorough but not annoying questions, offered to have calls or meet in person whenever we wanted, etc. And they were flexible the day of when our timing changed slightly and when we had to make some game-time decisions about locations to shoot photos. After the wedding, before our hangovers had fully passed, they had already sent us a "sneak peak" of photos (which looked amazing) and were a really great bookend to a great weekend. These two have a really great way of trying to capture people looking natural, not posed. And trying to capture the event and people in an authentic way, not at all generic or cookie-cutter. They also were geniuses when it came to finding great places to shoot; we did our wedding in December in upstate NY, and so it was too cold to do much outside. But they managed to find great spots to shoot interesting photos within the premises of our venue that many photogs would never have thought of--like some fun shots of us and the wedding party behind the bar. They even took us up into the attic of the building, which was this sort of abandoned industrial space with old-timey windows and exposed brick, and got some amazing shots there. They made the most of what we had and it really was worth it. In general, I could not be more happy that we went with these two!

tic shots! Paulette was like a woodland butterfly capturing the scene of us girls getting ready from angles and perspectives that made me wonder where she actually was when she took the photo. We also had some amazing drone shots of our ceremony, which we love. Paulette and Matt captured our fun, casual, colorful, laid-back wedding down to all of the details. They truly told the story of our day through photographs that we will cherish forever. Each photograph captures a unique moment in time... the quiet space between the chaos, the small things you see after the deep breath, those little moments of peace away from all the other expectations that come with hosting a wedding; the part that would be impossible to remember while all of the big stuff is going on. For that I am thankful. It is easy to be comfortable amongst friends and Paulette and Matt give that feeling to you right from the start. Thank you Novella Photography!

and walked the entire venue/property to find places to take our pictures, which were all amazing. They captured every moment perfectly and our sneak peek had friends and family calling us about how stunning and magical they were. We had an overcast day with some late night rain which we took advantage of. They shot the most perfect rain picture that had me getting calls,texts and messages about who our photographers were and how they can book them. Later in the night while the party was in full swing Paulette was on Matt’s shoulders getting pictures of our friends and family having the time of their lives. They are so dedicated and passionate! Matt and Paulette love what they do and it shows in their quality and brilliant work. I have no words to express how grateful we are to have had them at our wedding. All I can say is BOOK THEM, you will not regret it!

They somehow managed to be both invisible when necessary (important for a bride who very much dislikes being the center of attention) and also *so fun* that I wanted them to stay around when they were done shooting! Please note that if you want some basic, boring, traditional photos, you might want to look elsewhere. my mom in a really diplomatic but effective way. They took photos I never saw coming. They were flexible with my crazy schedule for engagement photos, came all the way from western Mass. (I live in Boston) to meet with me for a consultation, and were the best communicators of all my vendors. I literally had people approach me DURING the wedding to tell me that my photographers are amazing. The really incredible thing is that it is really two photographers for one - two experts, not a professional and an assistance - dividing the work, bringing a photographer’s eye, indulging in funny photo ideas and photographing every decoration, guest and moment that I might have missed. I seriously know now that my wedding was even more beautiful and fun then I remembered! I AM IN LOVE WITH EVERY PHOTO! Paulette and Matt are the most amazing photographers you could ever ask for! They deserve a billion stars.

went to some of our favorite places and did our favorite things together (married in the woods, favorite small restaurant for dinner, antique shopping, the Home Depot, and our favorite billiards hall!). They managed to truly capture the casual yet deeply meaningful feel of the day. The resulting photographs ooze class, fun and genuine emotion and we could not be more thrilled. They were flexible and accommodating every step of the way- from the first contact through the delivery of the photos online and via mail on a drive. They were never pushy and had fantastic ideas! I don't plan to ever get married again however if I find myself with another occasion that needs some serious couples-oriented photography, they are the first ones on my list!

ou just met, you WANT to be spending time with them on your wedding day! Not only that, but it is hard to wipe the smiles off of your face because you're having so much fun! We did not feel like we were posing at all, and that was something we were nervous about going into it. Our guests have not stopped talking about how much fun they are (they really shine on the dance floor) - and SO talented. We got a "sneak peak" of our photos THE NEXT DAY (!!!), and every single one of them blows my mind. I don't even have to wait to see any more to know that we are extremely lucky to have somehow found these two! Just take a look at their website and see for yourself, you will fall in love! two families together that have the most stubborn personalities and they were just like guests but could handle the politics of the day. From video games with my son while the rest of us got ready, to the shoulder ride photography gymnastics that is still talked about to this day (additional entertainment at my wedding I guess.) their eye for photos can not be matched. Their personalities are what you want in friends and photographers a like. They are so wonderful and I adore them.

the wedding, I took a step back and watched in awe as Paulette and Matt communicated with just a look or smile to each other as they captured the wedding from multiple angles. From the crazy moments pre-ceremony to dancing the night away, Paulette and Matt never stopped. capture our wedding in the way that we really wanted. Our engagement photos were only added indication that they would do the most amazing job on our wedding day and they really did. We loved everything about our wedding day, but choosing to work with Matt & Paulette (or rather, them letting us work with them!) was possibly the best decision we made.
