This place was amazing! The owner Kathleen was so helpful in getting this coordinated with us! They provided tables and chairs, and even vases for decor. We used them for our cerem...
ony, reception, and rehearsal, and it was well worth the price!
We used the nunnlea our for our wedding. It was so pretty there. We set up a tent on the front and had the ceremony in the back. Kathleen was so nice to work with.
I LOVED this venue! Very affordable, very nice people, and absolutely beautiful! They also let us in to move stuff in and set up some things the day before since there was no event...
s that day! They really work with you! We had about 100 people
I just had my wedding there this past Saturday. Overall, I am extremely satisfied. Kathleen is very helpful and lets you go in ahead of time to set up. We out married outside and h...
ad our reception inside with about 75 guests. Chairs, and tables provided and decor is beautiful. You also get a lot of discounts and deals with the vendors that work with the Nunnlea House. My only compliant is there was a lot of cleaning that needed to be done while we were decorating (dusting, needed more toilet paper etc.)
The venue is very small and closed off in places, but it is beautiful and the right price! They are also strict on how they want you to clean up but don't tell you want they want d...

Nunnlea house is gorgeous and well priced. Because the inside is a house with several rooms off a main hallway, I did encounter quite a bit of stress trying to decide what we would...
do if it rained (we had planned an outdoor ceremony) how to arrange dancing so everyone could see/participate, how to arrange the buffet etc. More than once during the process I wished I had gone with a place with a more open layout. However the day of, none of that seemed to matter and we had a beautiful wedding with many compliments to the venue.
I couldn't be more happy with my choice of the Nunnlea house for my wedding and reception. The house is on the small side, I think max guest list is 150 (and you're really crammed ...
in there like sardines at this number). Despite the smaller size, it is still the BEST price I found anywhere for the amount of guests and the atmosphere you get with this house. Kathleen Owen was absolutely amazing to work with. She was super prompt when I had a question and was very knowledgeable. The house was gorgeous inside and out, I fell in love the first time I visited. The landscaping is beautiful and even in November it still looked super lush. The floors are hardwood, the ceilings are crazy high, the windows are huge, there's a fireplace in every room, giant mirrors and antique furniture. They also had a ton of vases and hurricanes that are available to use which saved me from having to buy them myself to only use them for one day. They also allow you to cater yourself as long as you have insurance (this was one of the top selling points for me). Their kitchen was big with two stoves and refrigerators, and a giant island. The bathrooms were large and one was wheelchair accessible and there was also a wheelchair ramp. They have round and rectangular tables, and plenty of folding chairs. There's also a private, back room with an attached bathroom for the bride and attendants to get ready and hang out before the festivities. There are plenty of trees on the grounds and the leaves had fallen and just added that beautiful fall flavor to the outdoor photos. There's also a gazebo type thing in the back where we had the service, it has a backdrop of evergreen trees in the cooler weather and hydrangea bushes in the warmer weather. There was plenty of parking in the parking lot and street parking was also permitted. It has a giant covered porch on the front of the house, an uncovered porch on the side, and a smaller covered/partially screened porch in the back. I honestly don't have enough good things to say about the venue, it was super.
Nunnlea was a beautiful venue for my wedding. The house is big and outfitted with antique furniture, and the grounds plus the house rented for the whole day for less than 1000 doll...
ars!
Don't let their website fool you, I know it's horribly designed and the photos they have up are completely unflattering, but the place is amazing! I definitely recommend Nunnlea.
Nunnlea House was the perfect setting for my October shabby chic wedding. We had the ceremony outside and the reception inside. The house was built in the 1850's and it is beautifu...
l. The capacity is approximately 130 people inside, seated at tables. Tables and chairs are provided. Outside catering is allowed; all you need to do is purchase liability insurance. Kathleen, the site manager, is super helpful. She got back to me within a day on every question I had. I was also able to visit the house several times before my big day to take measurements, show my photographer the house, etc. Kathleen was always very accommodating. The price is very affordable too. I couldn't have asked for a more lovely location for my wedding. Two thumbs up for Nunnlea House!
