At the time of booking the appointment and in the email from nuovo, they have mentioned a couple times how it’s an all women’s set up and how I’m not allowed to bring any plus 1s. When I was getting my makeup and hair done, there was a man sitting right there. Idk if he worked there or a guest of someone, but if someone was allowed to bring a man to an all women’s set up then I should have been able to bring a friend for support. They advertise this bday photoshoot and anyone can do it. I have never done anything like this. I did not know what to expect. Standing naked in front of a stranger and trusting them to take photos of yourself is a huge deal and a very vulnerable situation. My photographer, Nina, a small short blond hair middle age woman, successfully turned my “self love” photoshoot all about herself. All she did was speak about herself and her experiences. She didn’t care about anything I had to say and barely let me say two words. She then sat me down and pressured me into looking at packages that were THOUSANDS of dollars. I told her I wasn’t interested and it was too expensive for some photos. She yelled at me for calling them photos & said it’s art and I have to pay the money. this was not what I signed up for. She would not let me say no to buying any package. I explained I didn’t have the money and this was for fun, something to make me feel good about myself. She made me try all these different methods to pay when I kept telling her I wouldn’t be able to. I felt like I had to agree under duress. A week and a half after the shoot, I reached out the the company advising I did not want the package anymore and not to charge me. I called the number on google, it just rings and rings. I left a vm, and I have not received a call back. I tried the number that was used to call me to set up the appointment but it was disconnected. I sent an email and I never received a response. Finally the photographer texted me to take my payment. I politely explained I tried reaching out to cancel this package but I guess no one relayed the message to her. She tried again to get me to buy a different package that was still over a thousand dollars. I politely declined again and stated I would like the free photo that I was promised in the original appointment. She told me the photo would be low resolution. I asked her why and she never texted me back. I followed up with her the next day and she told me the team chooses the photo for you and it’s her off day and she needs rest and then blocked me. How dare you block someone after taking naked photos of them. The least she could have done was professionally explain the next steps, the refundable deposit and what free photo are we taking about. Also at the time of making the appointment it was never said you would receive a low resolution photo if you do not buy a 5,000 package. Extrmeley unprofessional. If I try to text the receptionist, she tells me there’s nothing she can do. I lost $50 and was treated like nothing by a miserable old lady. SCAM!!!! Please avoid. There’s better places that won’t treat you like this. This was a horrible experience
